I honestly wish I never tried this place. Reason being is it's some of the best Middle Eastern food I have ever tasted yet one of the worst parking lots I have experienced. Now I will be craving the delicious Aleppo hot sauce knowing I have to brave a nightmare parking lot. It's a teeny tiny parking lot with odd angles and bottlenecks with a surprising amount of restaurants sharing it. Makes zero sense. After circling three times I dropped my wife off and parked across the street risking getting towed. There's a ton of construction so hopefully more parking is on the way. That said, food is outstanding. Service was also perfection. Cuisine here is from Syria so there a lot of interesting dishes I haven't seen before. We started with deep fried spring rolls stuffed with akkawi cheese imported from Syria. Expensive but order it. I ordered the "khashkhash" kabob plate which was 4 grilled kefta kabobs served on a surprisingly spicy sauce of tomatoes and Aleppo peppers. It was served with a mound of buttery rice sprinkled with Aleppo peppers and a cabbage salad. Honestly the best kabops I've ever had. Absolutely loved the flavors. I devoured the whole plate while eyeing the parking lot across the street for tow trucks. Portion could easily be shared. My wife went with the Gyro flatbread. I scoffed saying "this isn't a Greek restaurant" but the joke was on me because I was envious. House made flat bread topped with gyro, tzatziki, pickled onions, tomatoes, feta, sumac, and Aleppo peppers. I took a few bites and retracted my previous scoff. They had a large list of mocktails. I had the Vimto Mojito and my wife had the margarita. Both creative and flavorful. Lastly I tried the "Ashta" for dessert. It's an Aleppo signature per the menu and is a pudding like dessert of clotted cream, pistachio, strawberries, and honey. It's simple yet satisfying. Took me a few bites to acquire the flavor but I loved it more with each bite. My wife didn't care for it. They moved by Angel Stadium from their Brookhurst spot. Great place except the parking. Reservations are odd too. $25 penalty PER PERSON if you miss your reservation. It was definitely motivation to find parking. read more

We came here for our anniversary dinner and unfortunately left very disappointed. After placing our order, another server came by and asked if we had ordered. We told her that we had, but she checked and discovered that our order had never actually been put in. She apologized and eventually brought out our food. Unfortunately, the French fries arrived completely frozen. When we brought this to their attention, they replaced them with a salad, which we appreciated. To make up for the inconvenience, they also brought us a baklava dessert--only for us to find a hair in it. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience, especially for our anniversary dinner. I've been here several times before, but unfortunately, it seems like the quality and service have really gone downhill. There are many other Middle Eastern restaurants in the area that offer a much better experience, so based on our experience, we won't be returning. read more

The restaurant has a few middle eastern decorations. They have a flea market of Knick knacks for sale. Let me start with the service: It was horrible. The server wasn't mean or anything but it was 20 minutes before anyone took our order and it was only after flagging down the host. The food came out all at once instead of the apps first. We ordered hummus, cheese rolls, cucumber salad, a mixed grill plate and lentil soup. Nearly everything lacked salt and was bland. The pita was great. The toum was great. This place is good! I ordered ahead and the hubs picked it up and brought it home for dinner. He had a chicken shawarma bowl and really enjoyed it, said he wants it again. I had the mixed kebab platter, which comes with lots of yummy rice, a mild grilled pepper, grilled onion, a small side of slaw, and three kebabs - chicken, filet mignon, and kefta (ground beef). This does not come with any sauce, I ordered a side of garlic sauce. My plate was very good! I found the garlic sauce to be really mild, I am used to a very pungent garlic sauce. The filet was hands down my favorite, soooo tender! Chicken was really good, kefta was ok. I also ordered us pita bread and the kibbeh appetizer. Their pita is really good! So fluffy and had a great taste. Kibbeh was not my favorite, it was very crunchy, which I am not accustomed to, and the flavor just didn't work for me. There are not enough good things to say about Aleppo's Kitchen. Go before an Angel's game or after a day at Disney for quality food. It is pricey but I feel it is warranted. Dined here with my friend for lunch the past week and we had an amazing experience. The vimto splash was perfect for the summer weather and the plates were incredible! We had a tasting of everything the server recommended, she was helpful to let us know which were popular picks and which were a bang for our buck! Food is barely average. They fry food so much that's becomes saturated in oil. I a lot of kibbe. This was dripping in oil. Proper kibbe isn't like this at all. I got the mix platter of meat. It was too pricy for the tiny amount of meat. I frequent middle eastern restaurants. When I order beef or chicken dish that's on skewer (kabob), ground or not, it comes with proper size Kabobs. This place put 4 small pieces of beef, 4 pieces of chicken, a small rolled ground beef a little longer than my index finger for $35, which is about the same or higher than a proper plate! Let's just get right down to it. Get the 3 dip sampler. It comes with hummus, mutabbal (eggplant), and muhammara (Aleppo peppers with walnuts) which aren't like any you've tasted before. This is not your standard one dimensional pasty hummus. Mutabbal is usually my favorite dip and Aleppo hits it right out of the park. Muhammara - wow, how have I not had this before? The smokiness, the walnuts, it was perfect dipping with the (very hot) pita. Dare I say this was my favorite of the three? For proteins, we had the 3 kebab combo (chicken, filet mignon, and kefta) - again, all grilled to perfection, succulent, juicy, and so flavorful. Slather garlic sauce over everything! Our other protein was the mansaf. The lamb was fall of the bone and tender. The almonds give a nice crunch to each bite and the yogurt sauce was a perfect accompaniment. Came here to lunch with coworkers on a workday and was pretty busy. What caught my eye was they had muhammara dip on the menu which is my new favorite thing to get and kicks hummus' butt 10 fold. I was not disappointed, the mix bowls were tasty and came out with a side of freshly baked flatbread to eat it with which was a nice touch and unexpected. The pickled sides were nice and of course the garlic and muhammara dip were better than expected. The food was almost enough to feed two per bowl which was a nice bang for your buck. Had a family lunch and was able to make a reservation during busy weekend which was a big plus in choosing to come. It has a bright ambiance and welcoming staff. I believe this is Syrian cuisine so some of the menu items I was a bit unfamiliar with when comparing usual Mediterranean restaurant. Everyone enjoyed their food and it was quite a large portion. I got the kefta kabobs with a spicy tomato salsa like sauce. It came with 4 kebabs so I had leftovers for the next day. Most places usually give 2. It also came with an interesting flatbread pizza sandwich thing on the side. I also discovered how delicious Muhammara is. It's a dip that's made with walnuts and pomegranate molasses. Hard to believe that I've not written a review of Aleppo's Kitchen which I have been visiting ever since I move here to Anaheim and when they still were on Brookehurst Ave. Fast forward the restaurant is now within minutes from my place and it is very nice and clean and modern. For my lunch I ended up getting the Lentil Soup ( which I love) and the Gyro Flatbread. The Flatbread was ok but not great and I wish I would have ordered something different instead. Stand outs were the Syrian style dumplings in yogurt sauce, lahmajeen flatbread, grape leaves and grilled halloumi salad. Kibbeh was also good but probably don't need the mixed platter as they are just different shapes of the same thing. Also didn't really care for their falafel. And don't skip the pot of mint tea! Aleppo's had great reviews, so we knew we had to try it. We added a couple platters so we could get a better feel for the place. It's also a hookah lounge, which I'm sure gets super busy at night. The Lamb Mansaf was good, but honestly, the portion was smaller than expected -- kinda weird because "Mansaf" in Arabic means a big dish. The dish should've been bigger; I felt like it needed more rice. That said, the almonds added a nice crunch, and it was packed with warm spices like cardamom, allspice, and cinnamon. We also ordered a variety of meats with rice to sample different dishes. The chicken and steak were fire, but the kofta needed some work. The rice was also smaller than I expected. Ambience: Pretty chill spot tucked into the corner of a plaza -- not fancy, but definitely comfortable. There's an indoor area for dining and an outdoor patio that's popular for hookah. Even on a busy Friday evening, there was plenty of space and easy parking in the plaza. We started with the dipping sampler -- hummus, baba ghanoush, and a red pepper sauce. The hummus was silky and rich, the baba ghanoush had the perfect tang without being too salty, and the sauces paired beautifully with the warm, fresh pita (three generous rounds, about 6 inches each). The Mediterranean fries arrived last, but they were worth the wait -- perfectly crispy, topped with tomatoes, feta, parsley, and paprika. Delicious on their own or dipped in any of the sampler sauces. The beet salad was another standout -- a balanced mix of arugula and beets with pickled onions, walnuts, feta, and radishes tossed in a light vinaigrette. Generous portion, easily sharable for two or even three people. And the lamb shank... incredible. Tender, flavorful, and fall-off-the-bone soft. The rice underneath was aromatic and topped with toasted almonds, with a tangy yogurt sauce that brought it all together. Easily one of the best lamb dishes I've had in a long time. Service: Friendly, attentive, and relaxed. The food came out very quickly. The staff checked in just enough without hovering. Sometimes cream-based dishes can feel heavy, but these were perfectly balanced. I especially loved the Kibbeh Labanieh, which is like a dumpling filled with savory ground meat. It stayed hot throughout the meal. The portions were also just right for sharing between two people. I came on a weekday around 8 PM. It was not busy and very spacious and clean inside. The staff were so friendly and attentive, happily answering my questions about the protein in dishes.
