Stopped by the Anaheim Packing House on our way home to San Diego to get something to eat. The whole house as is isn't as popular as I once remember it back in 2016 but there are still many different places to choose from. We chose this and it was honestly the best decision ever. Three words: What The Fck!!! The chicken- maybe it's my taste buds, but mmmm no. Needs mmm flavor, yes. Let's say flavor. The steak is soft and a lil bit on the salty side for me. I do prefer the steak over the chicken. The drinks are good, the mint is refreshing and the strawberry lemonade is delicious. I say for the amount of food, just go with the meal. Stopped here as was taking "to go" from several other places at "The Packing House". Got two wraps, Falafel and Shawarma as I like Med food and have always thought I needed to give this place a try The good - the people behind the counter were pleasant and appeared to want to please the customer. Service was quick and the "to go " order was correct. Price is not out of line with others in the location so not a driver on future visits. That said, the food here was not terrible but also not a compelling reason to use this place as the "go to" for med food. Bottom line is that of the two wraps the Falafel was average and a little mushy but the Tzatziki sauce was quite flavorful (ask for extra when ordering). I have had Falafel all over the middle east and the best was at a small place in Jaffa, Israel. This didn't measure up to that and was not crispy on the outside and the texture was grainy. The other wrap, Shawarma was not well seasoned although they did put an adequate amount in meat in the wrap. I may give this another try and get a plate to see if it was the falafel being wrapped inside the Pita that made it so soft but the shawarma was a strike out as there are other local places that do it well read more

It's on the second floor of the Anaheim Packing House (right in the middle), and I'm so glad my boyfriend and I decided to try it today. I got the steak plate, and everything on it was sooo good. The steak was super flavorful, the rice was perfect, and the spicy hummus was incredible. The salad was fresh, lemony and made the whole plate feel really balanced. I also ordered a gyro wrap, and honestly, I could've eaten two. It was super tasty, and everything inside tasted really fresh. And of course we had to try baklava for dessert, and it was the perfect sweet ending -- flaky, crunchy, and not overly sugary. Overall, I was seriously impressed. They totally got me on the mint lemonade drink, ask for a sample if they don't already offer you one because damn that was delicious!!! We got the chicken shawarma wrap to share, It's big. and some baklava on the side with fries and mint lemonade. The chicken on the shawarma was a little on the dry side BUT when you get it in a wrap with all the fixings it was a perfect balance to the creamy and crunchy veggies inside that it added a different layer of texture that I absolutely enjoyed! The fries were standard and delicious with ketchup. Now. THE BAKLAVA. OMG. As someone who has had the good homemade stuff the one they sell here is AMAZING. It was so crispy yet sweet and nutty and had a perfect balance, where it wasn't too oily or too much of one ingredient. The crisp was crispy and the honey on it was so perfectly sweet. I got the gyro loaded fries and it was pretty pricey. Almost $20 after tax and just had a slew of issues. First problem is the size of the container for the fries. I get trying to use a small container, but it makes it hard to get the fries, meat and sauce at the same time without making a mess. If the container was bigger you could spread it out more. The sauce was a little too thick and it really just needed something brighter in that dish. It just felt extremely heavy and not a super dynamic flavor and I couldn't get through the whole thing. This is a very nice eaterie in the Anaheim Packing District on the upper floor. They have middle eastern food, however when the saw the Gyros listed, my eyes lit up. One of my favorite things to it. They actually have schwarma wraps, plates, etc., but they are very similar to the Greek gyros. I ordered the lamb/beef gyro plate which comes with the meat, rice, salad, and hummus, and my friend got the chicken schwarma wrap with fries. Both were very good and also large portions. I thought that was quite nice since not everyone is used to this type of food. My girlfriend and I split a Steak Kabob plate for $21. It had rice, pita, hummus, salad and steak. Their pita isn't the thick fluffy naan you might be used to but still yummy. Their rice, hummus and salad is typical to what you'd expect for Mediterranean food. For me, the star was the steak. Cooked perfectly medium rare and juicy. Their garlic sauce accompanied it deliciously. All in all, I think it's a good place to try when you're here.
