Zait & Zaatar in Anaheim everything just felt really fresh from the start Started with my shawarma plate made into a wrap, ended up stuck on the falafel texture, and my parents fully claimed the shrimp bowl It's one of those places where every bite feels a little different in the best way. Definitely adding this one to the rotation. Service inviting and friendly with a nice ambiance or lunch and dinners they also have outside seating available #OCEats #fyp #mediterranean #Lebanesefood #foodreview

The service was fast and friendly. The food was made fresh, was delivered quickly, and was delicious! The restaurant is a little place where they make everything in house. They have pastries, breads, and full meals! Like the chicken/beef shawarma plate that I ordered. The plate came with rice or fries, salad, hummus, toum garlic sauce, tahini, and pita! It was amazing. I will be back!! SOON!

Heard a lot about this place and my friends and I decided to check it out! Although the place is a bit small, staff was extremely nice and welcoming. Saaj wrap (5/5) Personally my favorite off the menu! The wraps were thick in size and the meat was extremely soft and juicy. A kick of flavor with each bite & generous portion size too! Zataar & Lebanese pizza (4/5) A unique spin on pizza! Had a nice herbal flavor and was really light. The Lebanese pizza was good as well. Love that the ingredients aren't too heavy so it allows you to have room for the main course. Chicken plate (5/5) The plate included a generous heaping of hummus on the side. Chicken was moist and well-seasoned. A safe choice if you don't know what to order. Shrimp bowl (5/5) Another solid option. The sauce on this plate had a nice sweetness to it, which made it taste earthy and refreshing. Complemented the shrimp, making it creamy, light, and savory! Grilled kafta plate (5/5) The fries on top elevated the dish nicely. The kafta was soft and flavorful. Very generous with the serving portions.

Z and Z was a delicious adventure for me plus two more that's three. A tasty Mediterranean feast that definitely satisfied our inner beast. We started off with the Veggie Combo to kind of test the waters and it was a go after that. Next we dove into their Chicken Kabob Plate with a marinade that was lip smacking. But it wasn't enough, we had more items in our site like the Beef Shawerma and Nutella Wrap. Oh man it was a scrumptious feast for the ages. Everything was really good and it still held its flavor the next day, now that's a tasty score. The place is small but there's an outdoor area if there's no room inside. Service was good depending on who you were talking to. But I'll say overall it was a positive experience. And that's my take on this tasty adventure, Peace

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Zait and Zaatar in Anaheim's Little Arabia District, and it turned out to be one of those meals that stays with you long after you've left. From the moment I walked in, I could tell this spot was something special--unassuming in size, yet full of energy and rich aromas that instantly set the tone for what was to come. The space itself is relatively small indoors, with limited seating, but it never felt like a drawback. If anything, it added to the charm and authenticity of the experience. There's also outdoor seating available, which is a great option, especially on a pleasant Southern California day. The setup makes it clear that this is a place focused on the food first--and that focus absolutely pays off. Service was impressively quick without feeling rushed. The staff was friendly, attentive, and efficient, making the whole experience smooth from start to finish. Even with a steady flow of customers, everything moved seamlessly, which I really appreciated. Now, the food--this is where Zait and Zaatar truly shines. Every bite felt intentional, layered, and packed with flavor. I ordered the chicken tawook wrap, and it easily became the highlight of my visit. The chicken was perfectly cooked--juicy, tender, and well-seasoned with a balanced blend of spices. What really elevated it, though, was the sauce. It tied everything together beautifully, adding a creamy, tangy depth that complemented the smokiness of the chicken without overpowering it. I also tried the Zait and Zaatar with halloumi flatbread, and it was nothing short of stunning. The combination of earthy za'atar, rich olive oil, and the salty, slightly chewy halloumi created a harmony of flavors and textures that felt both comforting and refined. It's one of those dishes that seems simple on paper but is executed so well that it becomes memorable. What stood out most to me overall was the consistency in quality and flavor. This isn't just good food--it's thoughtful, well-crafted food that respects its roots while delivering a standout dining experience. Zait and Zaatar is the kind of place I'll gladly return to, whether I'm craving something quick or looking to introduce friends to incredible Middle Eastern flavors. Between the exceptional dishes, efficient service, and inviting atmosphere, it's a gem in Anaheim's Little Arabia District that absolutely lives up to the hype.

First time here! Everything was made fresh and it was absolutely delicious! The garlic sauce with the fries was sooooo good. The Sheesh Tawook Wrap was so flavorful and perfectly balanced. Also $11 for that huge thing! I can't wait to try more items. There was plenty of seating inside and out (covered area). Service was quick and super friendly too.

So excited to finally get a chance to check out Zait and Zaatar, an authentic Lebanese restaurant located close to my job in Anaheim. One of my coworkers is from Lebanon, so we along with some other friends from work went on a Tuesday night. I learned that the restaurant name translates loosely to oil & spices in Arabic, and the restaurant delivers wonderfully in both. Zait and Zaatar is a casual dine in restaurant and bakery operating mainly from its take out counter - my friend noted that rarely do Lebanese places offer both a bakery and a sit down space serving shawermas such as this one. We ordered a little bit of everything off their expansive menu, so much so that the staff had to bring in an extra table in order to pile on more plates. I loved their signature Zait & Zaatar and Haloumi from their Bakery section, both served as a form of flatbread. The Zait & Zaatar in particular was baked with a delicate blend of spices that was so fragrant and unique. We then each ordered a Saj wrap - I loved my Sojuq Wrap, which was slightly spicy, with the ground beef complementing the crunchy pickles perfectly. It must be noted that of the four of us dining, my Lebanese friend devoured the food and finished his wrap first, which is as much of a compliment as any.

    Chicken Sheesh Tawook

This has been one of my go to spots for Lebanese food, especially when I'm in Anaheim's Little Arabia area. It leans more on the authentic side, which I really appreciate. I usually order the chicken sheesh tawook with hummus, rice, and tabouleh. When it's on point, the chicken is juicy, tender, and full of flavor. That said, the chicken can be a bit inconsistent. Some visits its on point, and other times it comes out a little dry or not as fresh tasting. What keeps me coming back, though, is the hummus and tabouleh. The hummus is incredibly creamy and tastes authentic, and the tabouleh is fresh, bright, and well balanced. Those sides really stand out and elevate the whole meal. The ambiance has a nice Lebanese feel, and they offer outdoor seating, which is a plus. The staff are also helpful. Overall, it's still a solid spot in my rotation, especially when I'm craving authentic flavors.

Stopped by on a weekend afternoon and enjoyed my meal here. Plentiful outdoor seating. Service was quick and friendly! I got the combo shawerma plate that came with two of their saj breads. Delicious! The amount of rice and salad was perfect. The sauces added so much flavor. My only complaint is that the chicken was quite dry - I'd probably just get beef next time. The portion was generous and I had leftovers despite sharing with a friend. Overall, it was a good meal! The freshness and portion size stood out.

Hands down my favorite Lebanese spot and I gladly make the drive every time because it's that good. It's a casual, laid-back place, but the food is seriously top tier. The sheesh tawook plates are amazing perfectly seasoned, juicy, and cooked just right every single time. And the zait & zataar... absolutely delicious. So fresh, so flavorful, and honestly one of my favorite things on the menu. Everything tastes authentic and made with care, the portions are generous, and the whole experience is always worth the trip. If you want incredible Lebanese food in a relaxed, no-frills setting, this is the place. Highly recommend I'll definitely keep coming back!

Zait & Zaatar was a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. Everything was incredibly fresh and dotted with herbs and aromatics. Portions were healthy and generous. Here is what we ordered: 1. Arayes (meat-stuffed pita) 2. Beef shawarma wrap with fries 3. Za'atar & Jibneh (cheese) Manoushe (a Lebanese type of pizza) 4. For the mezze - tabbouleh, baba ganoush (both very bright and citrusy), and dolma (my favorite) 5. For the dessert - baklava It's a smallish restaurant, with many ordering takeout, but I found the booth seating both charming and comfortable. Z&Z also sell jars of their spices (namely sumac and za'atar), as well as olive oil and honey.

No, that is prohibited in Falafilasophy. They fry them in front of you in separate oil that is dedicated to the delicious falafel.

From the moment you walk in, you already see people walking out with boxes on boxes which tells you everything. This is the kind of place you come to eat and to cater. They do have plenty of seating, but during peak hours it definitely gets crowded and packed. A true sign of how loved this place is. The ambiance adds to the experience too. I especially love the Middle Eastern paintings on the walls. It gives the space a warm, cultural, and authentic feel. First off, the bread. All house made and incredibly fresh. You can taste the quality in every bite. From the dough to the toppings, everything feels intentional and authentic. The spinach pies... absolutely next level. Spinach packed generously and bursting with that bright, zesty lemon flavor, mixed with onions and olive oil. Perfectly balanced and so satisfying. Muhamara had a nice kick today. It had a medium spice level with just enough heat to keep things interesting (and honestly, I love that it varies a bit. It feels homemade every time). The cheese manaeesh is a WOW. The cheese blend they use is so good. I'm lactose sensitive and somehow never feel bloated after eating it which says a lot. And the safiha... You can literally taste the depth of the seven spices, with a hint of cinnamon that ties it all together beautifully. Everything is made to order. So yes be prepared to wait at least 20 minutes. But trust me, it's 100% worth it. Quality like this takes time. What really seals the deal is the people. The owners and staff are beyond welcoming. The kind of place where you instantly feel like family. I've become a regular, and every visit feels like coming home. Authentic, fresh, flavorful, and made with heart. Don't sleep on this spot.

I tried my first one in Seattle at a place called Miss Cafe and really enjoyed it. This restaurant is located in a large plaza so there was plenty of parking. Upon walking in it was pretty busy on a Sunday around 11:30am, we were seated immediately. As we were leaving, there were plenty of people waiting for a table. Food I was hoping to order a combination juju boat but the waitress taking our order mentioned the beef is out of stock so therefore we ordered the Juju chicken pide. The flatbread was cooked nicely, the dough was thin, every bite didn't feel too heavy. However the chicken was really dry and didn't feel like there was enough sauce/cheese, ended up putting some garlic sauce on top and it made it a little better. We also ordered the combination platter which came with lamb Kofte, beef/chicken kebab and two sides. We chose hummus and salad as the two sides and it paired well with the plate. The beef was a little dry but the Kofte and chicken were pretty good. They also served us two flatbreads which was nice for wrapping the meat and dipping in hummus. The hummus tasted very fresh and clean with delicate flavors, wish it had a little more tart. Side salad was simple and fresh with olive oil and lemon juice. The Kebbah was piping hot but didn't have much flavor, think it needed some sort of sauce. Overall, the ingredients tasted very fresh and minimalistic but definitely can do with a bit more seasoning or sauce for flavor. Service was friendly and not overly attentive. The servers didn't offer any water or drinks. Almost every table had tea so we flagged down someone to place an order after ordering our meal. There was a little mishap with our order but the owner came over to the table and cleared up the misunderstanding and asked us if we needed anything. Didn't seem like they had a lot of staff for such a busy morning. The space felt very clean and very lively with the lunch rush.
