I imagine it's hard to go wrong, however. Some of the dishes were a bit spicy for me, but it was nothing a splash of the provided lemon slice and the great pickles couldnt cut through. Overall, loved it and would come back. Ah and we ended our meal with some incredibly fresh tasting baklava for about a dollar a piece. No skimping on nuts either! If you know, you know and this spot is the definition of a hidden gem. I was put on by friends who grew up in the Middle East and told me this place is the real deal so of course I had to try it. Let's just say they did NOT steer me wrong. From the moment you walk in, you already see people walking out with boxes on boxes which tells you everything. This is the kind of place you come to eat and to cater. They do have plenty of seating, but during peak hours it definitely gets crowded and packed. A true sign of how loved this place is. The ambiance adds to the experience too. I especially love the Middle Eastern paintings on the walls. It gives the space a warm, cultural, and authentic feel. First off, the bread. All house made and incredibly fresh. You can taste the quality in every bite. From the dough to the toppings, everything feels intentional and authentic. The spinach pies... absolutely next level. Spinach packed generously and bursting with that bright, zesty lemon flavor, mixed with onions and olive oil. Perfectly balanced and so satisfying. Muhamara had a nice kick today. It had a medium spice level with just enough heat to keep things interesting (and honestly, I love that it varies a bit. It feels homemade every time). The cheese manaeesh is a WOW. The cheese blend they use is so good. I'm lactose sensitive and somehow never feel bloated after eating it which says a lot. And the safiha... You can literally taste the depth of the seven spices, with a hint of cinnamon that ties it all together beautifully. Everything is made to order. So yes be prepared to wait at least 20 minutes. But trust me, it's 100% worth it. Quality like this takes time. What really seals the deal is the people. The owners and staff are beyond welcoming. I really wanted to give this spot 5 stars. I was very excited to be in the area (a middle eastern strip mall with various businesses) to try it. I've eaten alot of Lebanese Bakery items over the years but am no expert. I arrived early on a Saturday morning and the bakery/restaurant was wide open with just a few ppl already served and eating. It had a relaxing ambience. My order was taken in a timely manner. I ordered a Zaatar w/ Veggie Wrap, Sujuk and Egg Wrap, and a Spinach Triangle primarily. Teas were self serve. All bakery items seemed to be of an impressive portion. The Zaatar was fantasticly warm, tasty and very filling. The veges were cut quite big but were good. My first disappointment was related to the Sujuk in the Wrap. The portion was good. Biting in, I was very disappointed to taste how spicy it was. Really really spicy. It was more like a spicy Chorizo Burrito and seemed more Mexican than Lebanese. I wish there was a warning. My second disappointment was waiting 40 minutes for the Spinach triangle. I understood that they were busy with orders but that was too long. Of course I was full and finished eating by the time that came out. I would possibly go there again and just hit the Zaatar. Having said that, we were there early, so I can't imagine how bad it would be when they've got a line of customers. read more

I'd been craving manaeesh and mamol since I came to the west coast, and boy did Forn Al Hara deliver. When I asked the man upfront what was good, he said, "Everything." He was right. I ordered 5 manaeesh: - Zatar: super flavorful. Will get with cheese next time - Lahem Bel Ajeen: the closest flavor I had to the manaeesh on the east coast. Tomatoes balanced well with the meat - Sujuk with cheese: my favorite!! Spiced perfectly and went superbly with the pickles (which typically I'm not a fan of!) - Safiha - my second favorite. It balanced the right amount of sweet and salty, another combination I usually avoid. Needless to say, my tastebuds learned a lot today. The place is clean and cozy. I came in right before lunch hour hit on a weekday so there weren't a lot of people yet. Unfortunately, there was no one at the front. It wouldn't have been a big deal but everyone else working there seemed to make it a point to ignore me so I stood there awkwardly until the person came back. Once we got the ball rolling though, it was a lot better. The owner was very nice and explained the items on the menu patiently as I was a first timer. I ordered the Zatar with Cheese, Cheese and Honey, and a pound of assorted baklava. Zatar with Cheese- They are known for their flatbreads and I can see why! The base dough is the perfect blend of chewy and crisp. The zatar is a delicious herb fushion which goes perfectly well with the gooey cheese. Cheese and Honey- I cannot rave enough about the cheese. It is gooey and creamy with a mild flavor that was enhanced with the sweetness of honey. Such a delightful combination! Baklava- For 15$ a pound, it was a steal for a baklava fan like me. The syrup was sweet and mildly spiced and the pistachios were fresh and added a lovely texture. The pastry could be crisper, however. Still a nice find though! I grew up with the most amazing foods that my mom, grandma and aunts would prepare for family gatherings and holidays. Some of my favorite childhood comfort foods are Safiha, Kibbeh, Yekhne, Hashweh and others. Finding legit Lebanese/Mediterranean food is not as easy as it seems but Forn Al Hara is the real deal! food was delicious, tough competition between here and al-amir. but i think forn al hara has more variation for toppings. the vibes are very baladi inside, i appreciate the murals. the maamoul is also quite delicious. however the wait time and order system they have is a mess. we ordered our dine-in food for an early lunch and got it in a reasonable amount of time and had a good experience there. then after 12, we placed a to-go order and he said it will take an hour. it took an hour and 40min. there were multiple other parties who were waiting for their late orders who got rude with the manager (not the vibe). he kept it together but his workers were very visibly stressed out and seemed used to the mess. he gave us free maamoul but that didn't really make up for it. they need some kind of order system revamp back there. read more

The food changed a lot I ordered some sifihaa but unfortunately the meat smell and the taste was very old and bad also it was the worse customer service experience ever the guy who was there was rude and I ordered some items and employee was at the cash register gave my order to a girl who was flirting with him without a charges he give her my order for free and when I was asking him, he said you have to wait a little bit more he made me wait almost an hour for my order. Sooo yum. I LOVE small local businesses especially when they're food related. My boyfriend put me on, who initially discovered this place through his dad and their food is amazing! Huge portions that will definitely leave you with leftovers too. I've only been here once and had their lahem bel ajeen because I've been craving Turkish Lahmacun and this is basically the Arabic version. Despite lahem bel ajeen having a stronger tomato flavor and heavier toppings, it hit the spot. The toum (garlic sauce) is a MUST. I highly recommend getting two per person because it complements the bread so well. Makes your breath smell pungent af but so worth it lol. I wanted to try their kunafa since it's my favorite dessert but they didn't have it the day we came. So I looked up another restaurant with similar options and decided to give this place a try! Let's start with the amazing man who took my order. He was just the sweetest. He had a great personality, he kept smiling and making jokes. Just great vibes! The food didn't take long either just about 20 mins. Now Ive tried quite a few places and this place blew it out the park with their sujuk wrap! Very tasty, not too greasy, very generous amount of sujuk and pickles inside. They have the best baked goods, pastries, and flatbreads that give you a taste of the Middle East and teleport you as if you were "back home." Our go-to's are the manaeesh with zaatar, egg/cheese, and lahme (minced meat). They come with a side of pickles and olives for the perfect touch. And you can't forget the tea with fresh mint leaves to wash it all down. The owner is extremely friendly and knows his regular's very well. I've been here a few times over the past few years, and I am just getting around to reviewing it. This place is a legit Arabic bakery, and a staple in the community. They have tons on the menu, but I stick to a few simple things: - I always get a flatbread (which are all good since they go into the brick oven) but our fav is zaatar with cheese - pastries from their display case (pay by weight). I love the mini size since i can try a bunch of different flavors. Ordered a dozen mini cheese and zaatar manaeesh online and picked it up. The store was filled with the smell of baking bread. Parking is a little tight in this shopping center but I managed to find a spot - I don't recommend parking in the back as the sign states because it's even tighter back there. The food was ready when they said it would be. This was some of the best manaeesh I've had, perfectly baked, the cheese slightly squeaky on your teeth. The minis are a good size for the price. My family and I have been coming here for years and I always return when I'm feeling nostalgic and in the mood for freshly baked, flavorful, & generously portioned Arabic bread. They also offer wraps, plates, ice cream, pastries (they have kunafa here), Arabic drinks like non alcoholic beer, tea, coffee, etc. and more. There's plenty of seating which makes it perfect for families or large parties in general and the atmosphere is very cozy. Everything is pretty much made in front of you, and the hospitable owner includes a generous bowl packed with condiments (seeded green olives, lemon, sumac, pickles) to complement your food. I always order their zataar and cheese manaeesh as it's my favorite item on the menu, but I've also had their Lahem bel ajeen which is delicious, filling, and packed with a ton of flavor. Very similar to Turkish Lahmacun which is hard to find in OC, so if you're looking for something similar this is a good option but it's a little more tomato heavy. Awesome local gem that's been around for ages & hopefully more to come. read more

Came here while driving thru Anaheim. Reviews live up to the hype. Food is top notch. The unicorn type of restaurant that hardly exists these days - top notch food, fair prices, generous service. Ordered spinach fatayer (really good), safiha mini (truly out of this world), and knafeh. $12 for enough food to pass as a lunch or snacks for a couple of people.
