Beef Kofta - X4 Chicken Kabab Sandwich
    Vanessa S.

Tasa2Go has great tasting entrees and dessert. Food was delicious! Sadly, the seating area is quite small and its very hot inside, so the ambiance was not great. You can choose to sit outside but it's not very comfortable and doesn't look very clean. However, regardless of the not so great seating arrangements the food was so good and I would still go back. Decent customer service.

Wow, one of the best meals I've had in Fullerton. This was my first time trying Egyptian food and I loved it. I ordered the kabab wrapped in lamb fat sandwich and i audibly let out a "wow". It was juicy, perfect ratio of meat to fat, and the sauce and onions added a little bit of brightness. I paired this with the mango juice. I was in heaven. It was so delicious, I brought my friends with me the next time. I can't wait to come back and try more on their menu. There's a few tables inside and outside, but I can see this place potentially becoming very busy. Service was great, the cashier was helpful and friendly. Overall, I highly recommend trying Tasa2Go.

Great Egyptian restaurant, great service and amazing owner. My bf was very pleased with everything given that he grew up eating different types of foods. It was my first experience and thought it was great. My chicken was cooked well and flavored nicely. The only thing was there are limited seats inside however plenty of space outside the patio area. The other was my bf felt it was a little too saucy and will ask for sauce on the side next time. The owner was very friendly and informative about how he cooks all the dishes. We definitely will be coming back.

    Hawashi with Cheese -

I had to be in Fullerton again, so I took some time to look on Yelp to figure out what I would have for lunch the night before. While I was scrolling through places, I saw an Egyptian place. I've never had Egyptian food before, so I really wanted to give it a try. Last night, I thought of ordering the beef brains, but I chickened out and instead ordered the hawawshi with cheese instead. It was made to order and even though it took a while to make (since it was made from scratch), the taste of it was absolutely phenomenal. I loved how the texture and crispness and flavor of the bread paired so well with the heavily seasoned beef that just had so much flavor, and the nice addition of the cheese. These flavors just paired so well together and kept me thinking about my meal all day and how satisfied I was eating it. Needless to say, I was impressed. It's kind of a weird setup inside though. Like the parking plaza here was packed, but out of the 3 restaurants in the plaza, this one was empty. It didn't make any sense whatsoever, especially with how good the food was. The dining area is just a few tables though, so it's smaller than the other restaurants in the plaza, but you would think the taste would get people to still come and eat here. Anyway, I'm happy with the meal and the service. I'm definitely coming back to try more things on the menu next time, and maybe even the beef brains haha

Tasa2go is a spot that I've bookmarked for several years now and I was finally able to try this place out (visiting from The Bay Area). This Egyptian gem did not let me down. The menu is big and the portion size is even bigger. You definitely get the best bang for your buck. Service was quick and friendly. We ordered and got our food about 7 minutes later. I believe we met the owner (looked like the guy from the logo) and he was such a friendly and personable human being. Now the food....bring an appetite because that medium bowl was enough to feed me, my wife and one of my kids lol. We ordered 2 bowls and a sandwich. Everything was packed with delicious spices and flavors. The spices are different compared to like a Halal guys and other places but that's what makes this place different. It's similar but not similar (in a good way) if that makes sense. There was not any tables inside of the spot but there was outside seating and tables. Overall, I would love to come back and try more unique dishes like the one with brains. When I'm down that way again, I will definitely be returning. Do yourself a favor and check Tasa2go out.

The closest you'll get to authentic Egyptian food. Reminded me of home. The food was hot and fresh, pita was made from scratch. It was all beautiful. Rimon was very nice and accommodating.

Incredible... what can I say... whether you have nostalgia for Egyptian food, love it as a non-Egyptian, or don't know it at all, this is the place to go. Fantastic food, and service across the board. Most incredible shawarma I've ever had... authentic preparations of meats and, liver and sausage. Soft drink selection designed to quench your thirst for home. Quality ingredients, very clean place, and super friendly prompt service. Great hang out for families, great Egyptian pop playing (not too loudly at all)... it just enhances the great ambiance.

Came here with my wife & in-laws who are Egyptian to have this amazing meal at Tasa 2 Go. Owner served us with true Egyptian hospitality & it is legit Egyptian (as verified by my wife & in laws) with a wide variety. Loved the lamb chops & the kofta with tarb, soo good. The hawowshi sandwich was delish as well. The accompaniments of pickled onions, pickles, sauces were perfect with the food. We also tried the Om Ali for dessert & it's the best I have had since visiting Cairo. We have eaten from here a few times and keep coming back because it's soo good and we will be back soon !!

Tasa2Go is an Egyptian restaurant that specializes in charcoal grilled meats. All the food served here is HALAL. They have sandwiches, shawarma, rice, pasta, fries, and charcoal grill meats. I wanted to get a variety of meats to try and after talking to the owner he recommended the beef shawarma fattah. Beef Shawarma Fattah ($26 - Large / $21- Regular) - I got the large size not realizing the quantity was too much, 2 people could have eaten this. This came with a roasted bread base, rice on top, beef shawarma meat, garlic sauce and 2 sides (I went with eggplant and a salad). The beef was on the drier side and had a slight charcoal taste to it. The rice had a spicy tomato sauce mixed in. Overall, I thought the beef was just ok. I did feel it was over priced. I did try a little of my co-worker's chicken plate ($19) and while the chicken was tender, it didn't have much in the way of flavor other than some charcoal taste. Compared to other Middle Eastern places I have been to I would pass on this. They only have 2 tables inside for seating and 3 outside. It does take a while to grill meats, so be prepared to wait. They do charge $2 for a water bottle, didn't see an option for complimentary water.

Another restaurant crossed off the list! This one gets a 4/5 stars from me. Located in Fullerton, this place is SMALL. As in, there's two tables inside kind of small. There are some tables outside, but like I said, the place is not big by any means. However, the food is where it shines. They serve Egyptian food which is, in my mind, similar to Mediterranean type of food. You have beef and lamb and chicken. We got the Tasa Single which includes beef kofta, kabob wrapped in lamb fat, lamb chop, and lamb kabob. I'll say that the rice was excellent. Very flavorful and delicious. Only wished they gave more! The beef kofta was my favorite of all the meats. It was spiced well and tasted great. The lamb kabob was my least favorite. It was a tad hard and wasn't my thing. Personally, I don't think the portions are big for the price. It seemed a little pricier to me, so not as much of a value proposition. However, they do make everything fresh. The cashier was very nice and did mention it'll take around 25 minutes to prepare and he was not kidding. However, the food was tasty. Definitely worth checking out if you like this kind of food!

    Tasa mix
    Vivian T.

Food was excellent 5/5. Left a great first impression for Egyptian cuisine. The tasa mix was enough to be split between 3 adults who eat a medium portion. It can take a while to make like around 30 mins but it's worth the wait. Tasa mix had 2 lamb chops, beef kofta, kabab wrapped in lamb fat, and lamb kabab, over a bed of seasoned rice. (TBH I couldnt tell which kabab was what besides the lamb chops, but it was all delicious and going down the same way!) Comes with 2 sides of your choice, and you'll have the option to add grilled chicken if you pay extra as an add-on. Meat was soft, tender, and flavorful that paired well with the rice. The Rice - Omg the rice was so good!!! I could eat an entire tray if I could afford the calories. Rice pudding - 5/5 Fragrant, creamy and soft. Medium level of sweetness. Egyptian tea - 4/5 It's strong with bits of ground tea leaves inside. You're given several packs of white sugar to adjust the sweetness bc that tea is strong and slightly bitter. Ambience - It's a small restaurant, super casual, pickup takeout and leave, on-the-go type of place. I think there were 2 small tables for indoor dining but they had 3-4 large tables outside for you to sit and eat at. I did not see any restrooms available for customers so you'll have to go somewhere nearby. Parking - Lot was medium sized but good luck finding parking during rush hour bc that lot is shared between 3 restaurants. Basically a war zone.

Wow! What a nice surprise this place was! I have an Egyptian friend that took me here because he felt like the food tasted so legit! I am so happy he took us here. I am not a connoisseur of Egyptian food, but I know when food tastes great! It's a small quiet place, not very many tables so service is very friendly! We got so many different dishes and I could not tell you what they are called but they were all so delicious! The owner is so very nice and friendly. I plan to go back here again soon!

Cairo Restaurant & Cafe - Anaheim Rating: (5/5)…read more I ordered from Cairo Restaurant & Cafe through Uber Eats, and this ended up being one of the most meaningful food experiences I've had in a long time. For context, I come from Egyptian heritage. I'm first-generation American, and both of my parents grew up in Cairo. The dishes I ordered -- Hawashy as an appetizer and Makaroni Bechamel (Bashmil) casserole -- are foods I grew up with. The last time I had this exact meal cooked for me by my mother was several years ago, so placing this order felt like a gamble, especially with the restaurant being all the way in Anaheim while I live in Irvine. That gamble paid off immediately. From the very first bite, the food tasted unmistakably authentic. The hawashy was deeply seasoned, rich, and comforting -- exactly how it's supposed to be, not watered down or adjusted for convenience. The makaroni bechamel was the real emotional gut punch in the best way possible. Creamy, savory, perfectly spiced, and layered the way it's done back home. It tasted like something made with care, patience, and respect for the dish. I'm not exaggerating when I say this meal hit me hard. After one bite, I literally called the restaurant just to thank them. I asked to speak to the manager and told him what this meal meant to me -- how it tasted like something my own mother would make, how it brought back memories I didn't realize I'd been missing. That call wasn't planned. It was instinctive. Huge shout-out to Zayne, the manager, who was incredibly kind and generous on the phone. He even sent along kunafa for dessert, which was the perfect ending to the meal -- warm, sweet, and beautifully made. Beyond the food itself, the packaging deserves real praise. Everything arrived hot, which is not easy, especially for a casserole like makaroni bechamel. Once that dish cools too much, it loses something important. This didn't. It arrived as if it had just come out of the oven, which speaks volumes about the care taken in preparing orders for delivery. This is not a 5-star review because of nostalgia or heritage alone. It's a 5-star review because the food was genuinely outstanding -- rich, decadent, comforting, and made the right way. It is very hard for me to say that something compares to my mother's cooking, but this truly came close. I cannot wait to come in person in the next few weeks. Cairo Restaurant & Cafe didn't just serve food -- they delivered a memory.

As somebody born in Iraq and raised around real Arabic food in Dearborn, Michigan. Yes you guys met…read morea real Arab! this place was honestly offensive. I know exactly what authentic Middle Eastern food tastes like, smells like, and looks like. This was not it. This felt like recycled cafeteria food dressed up for people who have never had the real thing. For almost $65, I genuinely felt robbed. Everything tasted old, aged, reheated, and low effort. Nothing had freshness, brightness, or quality behind it. Real hummus is supposed to be balanced between chickpeas, tahini, lemon, garlic, and olive oil. Even food writers and traditional recipes describe hummus as a smooth blend where the chickpeas are the foundation and the tahini supports the flavor -- not the other way around. Apparently this restaurant never got that memo because I'm pretty sure they accidentally served me a bowl of straight tahini and forgot the hummus entirely. I thought chickpeas were one of the cheapest ingredients on earth, but somehow they managed to make hummus without any actual chickpea flavor. It was bitter, muddy, heavy, and completely drowned in sesame paste. Whoever made it must've been in a personal blood feud with olive oil and lemon juice too. The fattoush was an absolute disaster. Real fattoush is supposed to have freshness, herbs, vegetables, citrus, and crispy pita with texture and balance. What I got was a depressing garden salad tossed in cheap dressing with pita chips fried so hard and soaked in old oil that they were basically edible roofing shingles. I love pita chips, but these things were NOT brittle like glass. I felt like I was eating hardened gummy bread. I genuinely thought I was going to crack a tooth. They tasted like stale fried scraps reheated over and over again until all flavor and dignity left them. The tabouli somehow had even less life in it. No brightness. No freshness. No clean parsley flavor. It tasted like it was prepared months ago and forgotten in a refrigerator. Even the pita bread was stale. STALE. That alone tells me everything I need to know about the kitchen. Any real Middle Eastern restaurant knows fresh bread is sacred. " How dare you people!" Then to top it all off, the attitude was horrible. Cold, dismissive service from people acting annoyed that customers even exist. The overall cleanliness and presentation of the restaurant honestly made the entire experience worse. Besides the young girl working she's the one star for my review. California desperately needs to stop letting places like this claim they serve "authentic" middle eastern food. This is the kind of place that survives off hype, location, and customers who simply do not know better. If you grew up eating real Iraqi, Lebanese, Syrian, or Dearborn-style food, you will immediately know something is wrong here. I left overcharged, disappointed, and honestly feeling sick afterward. One of the worst Mediterranean food experiences I've ever had.

It may have been because I was with my friend who has been there before but I really appreciated that and I pay attention to those details whenever I go eat someplace.

I placed an online order for the baked fish plate around 12:45 PM and expected a bit of a wait since it was fish. After waiting about 25 minutes, I called and was told it would be another 10-15 minutes. The restaurant was busy, so I understood. However, after waiting longer and checking inside twice, my order still wasn't ready and there seemed to be confusion about its status. In total, I waited close to an hour for an order that was placed online in advance. What bothered me most was seeing customers who ordered in person receive their food before me. It felt like my online order had been overlooked. If online ordering is offered, those orders should be monitored and fulfilled properly, especially during busy times. The food itself was good, but the plate could have been put together better. The fries were placed directly on top of the fish, which made them soggy and took away from the presentation. It would make much more sense to serve the fries on the side. Overall, the food is still good, but the long wait, confusion with the online order, and lack of attention to presentation make me hesitant to rely on the online ordering system again.

Zectos closes at 10:00 and we were gonna be there at 9:50…read more Out of respect I called the number to make sure they would take the order and see if we could place the order over the phone as it was small so they didn't have to make it at 9:50. A gentlemen on the phone answer and tells me as long as it isn't a big order and we're here before 10:00 they will take the order. Cool. We get there at 9:49 and go up to the window and he tells us they've closed the kitchen and aren't taking orders. So I bring up the phone conversation and let him know we were the ones who called. Keep in mind it's the same guy who we spoke to. He's saying that he didn't say that on the phone and that he won't take our order. So I repeat our conversation word for word as he's now trying to say that isn't what he said. He then says, "I spoke to the cook and well take your order." I go up to the window to pay to pay with Apple Pay and the dude aggressively grabs my phone and is obviously in some sort of mood about the situation. Tells us to go park and he will bring us the food. He brings us the food and is being snarky and laughing and just acting like a dick. I come here decently often so it's pretty lame to see. Do better...If you don't want to serve someone. Tell them when they call that you close the kitchen so they don't waste their time driving down then have to put up with a snarky teenager who obviously loves his job very much.

But where Pita Hot sets itself apart from those places is the community. When you walk in, you're greeted with smiles, a question about how your day is, and if you've been there a few times, a quick "how's the wife and kids?" Although some people may see the price tags and wince, they do not skimp on portions. They will fill your plate to the absolute brim, give you one huge pita, and send you on your way. The flavors on the food are nothing to scoff at either. The hummus, tabbouleh, and beef skewer are absolute hits. Flavorful bites with the perfect amount of balance between the acidity of the tabbouleh, the light and rich hummus, and the meatiness of the beef. The shrimp skewer is tasty as well but not something I think I'd get again. The rice pairs well with everything, and as I've mentioned before, the humongous pita they give you is delicious as well. A three skewer plate is enough for two people! All in all, Pita Hot has been around this long for a reason. Their business model and recipes are tried and true. Overall, 9/10.
