Came right when it opened on a Saturday as I read the reviews about the possible slow service. We ordered as the 2nd group in line but didn't receive our food until 45+ minutes later. Then when they finally served our pizzas, they were whisked away a few minutes later as they realized it wasn't our order. Apparently they were working on a very large order at the same time, but we had kids with us who were hungry... This was not good service. The restaurant has plenty of seats. Casual, surrounded with various large screen TVs so of course our kids were glued to them. Can't stand restaurants that have TVs showing things that might not be appropriate for little kids. The Egyptian stuffed pizzas were actually pretty good, but very cheesy and oily so we ended up using utensils for the middle pieces. Ordered 1 BBQ Chicken and 1 Sausage which were both yummy. Each pizza can easily feed 3 adults. I would come back for the food, but don't want to due to the slow service...

Tasty Egyptian style pizza. Would definitely come back to try different flavors. We were able to get 3 sauces with our large size. Staff was helpful in explaining the menu for our first time!

Food was very good but for the price the portion is really small. The workers are very nice, but the service is slow seems they are maybe understaffed.

Stuffed The Egyptian Pie -- Huntington Beach, CA I visited Stuffed The Egyptian Pie with my daughter and had a truly memorable experience. I ordered the mixed meat pie in the Egyptian style, and just look at it -- the crust is thin, flaky, and perfectly golden-brown with beautifully crisp layers wrapped around a savory meat filling. It tasted just as amazing as it looks! The concept is refreshingly unique -- authentic handmade Egyptian feteer pies you simply won't find anywhere else in the area. The flavors were rich, satisfying, and clearly crafted with skill and tradition. The one downside? We waited over 30 minutes despite the restaurant not being very busy, which felt a bit long. Service speed could definitely use some improvement. That said, if you're looking for something outside your usual dining routine, Stuffed is absolutely worth the visit. Bring the family and try something genuinely special!

I've always seen this place and finally decided to give it a try. The decor is kind of confusing, not sure what theme they're going for. I ordered the original one-slice and it was super oily and heavy. We split it between four people and that was more than enough. The cream didn't have much flavor either. That said, I'm sure other menu items are worth trying. This just wasn't the best first impression.

We got the family meal and the food was very delicious and fresh. The Baladi Hawawshi was phenomenal 10/10.

Overall the food was amazing, the Baladi Hawashi was amazing and the family meal of grilled meats was amazing. The meats were all fresh and well seasoned. Highly recommend!

First time here. My mom got the veggie and I got the mixed meat. Both very good. Tons of flavor and made fresh to order. Will be coming back.

This place specializes in feteer, a traditional Egyptian pastry that could be prepared to be savory or sweet. Or simply put, especially to laypeople like myself, it can kind of be described like an Egyptian pizza. Not sure if this spot or the building where it's located was previously a small pizza restaurant, but that is what the layout/inside feels like. When I came in, there were a few groups, but the place wasn't especially busy (came in on the later side of dinner time on a Sunday night). I was pretty much able to order right away. The folks here are friendly and the person helping me was very helpul. I ended up ordering a small 'Homemade Sausage' pie, which I was told was one of the more popular and traditional pies. I ordered it 'Egyptian' style. You can also order the pies the American or Mexican Way, which are just basically the same ingredients but have a different structure. I didn't pre-order, so there was a bit of a wait, which was expected and no big deal. The pie came with two sauces on the side and everything was neatly packaged in a takeout pizza box. Spices, flavors, textures were all on point. The sauces were so good for dipping or pouring a bit over each bite. The small easily lasted me at least 2 meals and easily could have been stretched to 3 or 4. Also, I know it's a whole different culture, but the feteer here reminding me of a similar savory meat pastry that my neighbors made. This was such a long time ago (I was a little kid) and they were Afghan. It gave me a little bit of nostalgia because I don't have this type of food very often.

Lil meshaltet. Drizzled with honey, this was a nice sweet and savory treat.

*Order online to save time, or prepare for a long wait for your food to come out. It's worth it though!* Came in on a Wednesday afternoon, there were a few others seated in booths. The person at the Front Counter asked if it was our first time and gave basic descriptions of our choices and recommendations. The dough here is flaky like a pastry more so than doughy/chewy like a conventional pizza crust and has three sizes/presentations: Egyptian (toppings sandwiches between layers like fatayer), American (toppings sort of calzoned), or Mexican (toppings rolled up in the middle like a burrito. We decided to order the mixed meat Egyptian, which featured their housemade sausage (soujuk) and pastrami (basterma), as well as cheeses, tomatoes, and peppers. We also got a slice of meshaltet. The small mixed meat Egyptian pie was perfect for two people and absolutely delicious. We also had waited 40 minutes for it but it was totally worth it. The texture, flavors, and slight sogginess from all the fillings hit the spot and fulfilled a craving we didn't even realize we had. Believe the hype and give the place a try. Just recognize that if you're coming in with the intention of eating a slice of pizza, you're probably not getting what you expect but can still enjoy the ride!

The service is excellent and the food is top tier!!!! Abram, one of the new owners is very hospitable and friendly. He was very helpful with helping us choose what to get and does it all with a smile on his face. We had an amazing time and the food was delicious!!! 10/10 recommend & will go here a million times over and over!!!!!!

This place is easy to find right off the main road plenty of parking. I recommend calling in your pie since it does take a bit of time. Inside is nice with plenty of drink options. The server was really helpful and walked my husband and I through the menu. We got a half and half pie it was really light but hearty the flavors and 3 dipping sauces provided were really good. Would love to have it again if I'm in the area.

    Vegan-friendly!

The kind-of chow that'll make your mouth meow, "Ohhh yeeeaahhhh..." I've only ordered delivery here twice, but have been equally delighted both times. I highly recommend the Vegan Mixed Meat Mexican Way and Vegan Beyond Beef. Comforting hangover-cure status mouthgasms in every bite. Stuffed gives me hope for the O.C. food scene; extra love for their late hours, since too many places close too soon around here.

Oh my gosh! This place is amazing!…read more I came across this place on a random Yelp search while in the area, and man am I thankful that it did! This place doesn't have 4.9 stars @ ~300 reviews for no reason, trust me, they've earned it! :) I've had Egyptian cuisine before, but I've not had feteer until this evening. Calling it an Egyptian pizza is the easiest way to describe it, but I don't feel that does it proper justice. The various cheeses make for a complex flavor that matches well with the meat and creates a wonderful consistency with the double sided dough. It may appear small in size, but it's so full of cheesy, meaty, veggie, doughy goodness that one of these can easily feed two hungry adults no problem. On the owners recommendation we ordered a Halal Beef Soujok Kiri, and my son wanted to try the Beef Shawarma. He offered to add spice, so I had him add a bit to the Soujok and it really added as wonderful depth of flavor to the mix. Both were incredibly tasty though, and my family loved them! I also ordered a mixed "sweet pie" that had a row of Nutella, Lotus (Biscoff Cookie), and Sugar and Milk mix which allowed us to try all three flavors. My fam really loved the Nutella, but I enjoyed the Lotus more overall. Regardless, be sure to make room for dessert when you come here, because it's delicious! We also got a side of the spicy vegetables, which was a bit much for the kids, but my wife and I really enjoyed it. The owner also threw in a few Egyptian sodas - my kids loved the Orange flavored ones, but I recommend the Apple flavor as it's malted, which really gives it a unique flavor! :) The service was amazing! It was the owner holding the place down when we got there, but he was friendly, patient, and more than happy to explain everything and guide us to something that everyone was sure to enjoy! The ambiance is that of a small, family owned eatery. Some seating in the front with some music playing, and a small window into the back where you can see the magic happening as he whips up his wonderful creations! This place is top-shelf for sure! Even if you've never experienced Egyptian food before, I assure you this is one of the better ways to try it! The prices are reasonable, the owner is a great guy, and the food is amazing! I promise you won't be let down! We'll most certainly be returning, and I hope to see you there! :)

Cairo Restaurant & Cafe - Anaheim Rating: (5/5)…read more I ordered from Cairo Restaurant & Cafe through Uber Eats, and this ended up being one of the most meaningful food experiences I've had in a long time. For context, I come from Egyptian heritage. I'm first-generation American, and both of my parents grew up in Cairo. The dishes I ordered -- Hawashy as an appetizer and Makaroni Bechamel (Bashmil) casserole -- are foods I grew up with. The last time I had this exact meal cooked for me by my mother was several years ago, so placing this order felt like a gamble, especially with the restaurant being all the way in Anaheim while I live in Irvine. That gamble paid off immediately. From the very first bite, the food tasted unmistakably authentic. The hawashy was deeply seasoned, rich, and comforting -- exactly how it's supposed to be, not watered down or adjusted for convenience. The makaroni bechamel was the real emotional gut punch in the best way possible. Creamy, savory, perfectly spiced, and layered the way it's done back home. It tasted like something made with care, patience, and respect for the dish. I'm not exaggerating when I say this meal hit me hard. After one bite, I literally called the restaurant just to thank them. I asked to speak to the manager and told him what this meal meant to me -- how it tasted like something my own mother would make, how it brought back memories I didn't realize I'd been missing. That call wasn't planned. It was instinctive. Huge shout-out to Zayne, the manager, who was incredibly kind and generous on the phone. He even sent along kunafa for dessert, which was the perfect ending to the meal -- warm, sweet, and beautifully made. Beyond the food itself, the packaging deserves real praise. Everything arrived hot, which is not easy, especially for a casserole like makaroni bechamel. Once that dish cools too much, it loses something important. This didn't. It arrived as if it had just come out of the oven, which speaks volumes about the care taken in preparing orders for delivery. This is not a 5-star review because of nostalgia or heritage alone. It's a 5-star review because the food was genuinely outstanding -- rich, decadent, comforting, and made the right way. It is very hard for me to say that something compares to my mother's cooking, but this truly came close. I cannot wait to come in person in the next few weeks. Cairo Restaurant & Cafe didn't just serve food -- they delivered a memory.

From the moment you walk in, you already see people walking out with boxes on boxes which tells you everything. This is the kind of place you come to eat and to cater. They do have plenty of seating, but during peak hours it definitely gets crowded and packed. A true sign of how loved this place is. The ambiance adds to the experience too. I especially love the Middle Eastern paintings on the walls. It gives the space a warm, cultural, and authentic feel. First off, the bread. All house made and incredibly fresh. You can taste the quality in every bite. From the dough to the toppings, everything feels intentional and authentic. The spinach pies... absolutely next level. Spinach packed generously and bursting with that bright, zesty lemon flavor, mixed with onions and olive oil. Perfectly balanced and so satisfying. Muhamara had a nice kick today. It had a medium spice level with just enough heat to keep things interesting (and honestly, I love that it varies a bit. It feels homemade every time). The cheese manaeesh is a WOW. The cheese blend they use is so good. I'm lactose sensitive and somehow never feel bloated after eating it which says a lot. And the safiha... You can literally taste the depth of the seven spices, with a hint of cinnamon that ties it all together beautifully. Everything is made to order. So yes be prepared to wait at least 20 minutes. But trust me, it's 100% worth it. Quality like this takes time. What really seals the deal is the people. The owners and staff are beyond welcoming.
