He recommended a few dishes, and we got a few of them, including the hummus, shirazi salad, lamb chops and beef koobideh. Everything was great, food-wise. Note, this is a Persian place, so their hummus is inherently going to be less acidic, but all the meat was cooked perfectly, salad was one of the best we've had, portions were big, and the service was amazing. Perfect with their warm pita bread! Maust Khiar- This is a creamy blend of yoghurt, spices, and minced cucumbers that add a nice crunch. It has a refreshing finish. I love pairing it with the meat. Shirazi Salad- This was a lovely mix of chopped cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, and parsley, with a lemony dressing that ties all the bright flavors together. Tasty and healthy! Mint Yohgurt: very fresh and high quality yoghurt Chicken Kabob: WOW...I'm not sure where to start the rice was phenomenal and I honestly usually don't say anything about a side of rice at a restaurant but this is the most well cooked flavorful rice I've had. The chicken kebab was seasoned to perfection and cooked beautifully. This is some of the best Mediterranean food I've ever had hands down. AND THE PORTIONS are killer. Ask for the side of their special garlic sauce, you will not regret it. Saw this on yelp and had to try it. The food was amazing, the service was great and its ambiance was wonderful. Food= we had 2 different lunch specials. The first one was the Beef Koobideh. It was delicious! From the saffron rice to the roasted tomato and its scrumptious beef. The second one was Fesenjan. Its tanginess from the pomegranate to its very subtle nutty flavor from the walnuts was perfect. We also had an appetizer: Maust Khiar with a basket of flat bread. So good. Last but not least dessert: I forgot the name but it had a flaky dough with pistachios it wasn't Baklava but almost similar. The best part was the service. They were all nice and took the time to have a conversation with us. They made sure we were comfortable. It was somewhat cold in the restaurant only because some customers were leaving the door open.
