Overall, had a pleasant experience at Dimassi's! Most of the food was flavorful and was good quality overall for a buffet! My favorite items were the gyro, lamb shank, beef kabob, the different hummuses and the rice pudding. Service was good, the bussers came around pretty frequently to clear plates out of our way. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is plenty of seating inside the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Had a good amount of people on Sunday night but wasn't fully packed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would recommend!

I'm usually weary of buffets and only go in Vegas, but I really like this one! The buffet section itself is smaller than what you'd expect, but that's not a problem at all, especially if you love Mediterranean food. Every dish is genuinely good instead of the usual mediocre spread. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is simple and clean, and it's clear they put real care into keeping the food stations tidy and well presented.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The lineup is mostly meats and veggies, plus a great salad bar (no boring iceberg and romaine here). A fun touch: ring the bell and they'll bring you a fresh lamb shank, it's how I always start my meal. There's also a solid rotation of chicken, lamb, fish, and rice dishes. We're usually seated right away, and it never feels overcrowded, which makes navigating the buffet line easy. Only downside is there's just one person bussing tables, so things can pile up. We try to help by clearing our own plates when it gets full. Overall a great spot for quality Mediterranean food. Just wish there was one closer to us!

Buffet Lovers May Enjoy This One, But It Wasn't Quite Our Flavor Hubby and I were on the hunt for a new spot to try and stumbled upon this Mediterranean buffet while browsing Yelp. First things first -- plenty of parking in the plaza, so no need to circle around hunting for a spot. We arrived around 3:30 PM, and since weekday lunch pricing is $21.99 per person from 11 AM-4 PM, we were pleasantly surprised when the hostess kindly allowed us to stay through the transition until 4:30 PM before dinner pricing kicked in. That was definitely appreciated! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is what you'd expect from a buffet: open, spacious, and filled with plenty of tables for larger groups and families.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now onto the food... One thing I really enjoyed was the impressive selection of appetizers and dips. There were several varieties of hummus including spicy hummus, avocado hummus, baba ghanoush, along with a sauce station featuring tahini, tzatziki, and garlic sauce. If you're a dip-and-spread person, you'll probably be pretty happy here. They also had multiple rice options and a variety of proteins. Most of the selections consisted of different styles of chicken, along with fried fish and grilled fish. I believe the lamb shank is only offered during dinner service or on weekends, so unfortunately we missed out on that. As for the food itself, this is where the experience became a little mixed for us. While there were certainly a lot of choices, many of the dishes felt surprisingly similar, and overall the food lacked the bold Mediterranean flavors we were hoping for. Most items were fairly mild and a bit bland for our taste. Nothing tasted bad, but very little stood out enough to make us want to go back for seconds. For dessert, they offered baklava, pistachio rice pudding, and a few other sweet treats, which was a nice way to end the meal. Service, however, was excellent. Everyone we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and attentive, so I'd easily give the service 5/5 stars. Overall, I landed at 3 out of 5 stars. I appreciate the buffet concept, the variety, and the wonderful service, but for hubby and me, flavor is king. Unfortunately, the food just didn't have enough seasoning or wow factor to make us want to return for a second visit. If you're looking for a Mediterranean buffet with lots of options, it may be worth trying once and deciding for yourself. Happy eats!

As a buffet, I consider Dimassi's in Cerritos a game changer. This is a Mediterranean themed buffet that's only $22 before 4pm on Monday through Friday. For dinner on the weekdays it's only a few dollars more ($29). On weekends it's $33 all day. I mention the price because I consider it a no-brainer for a weekday lunch. I agree with the criticism that the protein options can be limited. You aren't going to be getting filet mignon kabobs for lunch. But their chicken options, their fried fish filet, and their gyro meat is not bad. If you are looking for the premium kabobs, there are many Mediterranean options in the area that you can get that. What makes this place truly worth it are their delicious salad options, their warm, house made pita bread, their abundant options of spreads (hummus, baba ghanoush, garlic sauce). The multiple options for mediterranean salads are really what I crave from here. For $22, if I can have a multi course meal featuring 4-5 types of refreshing salads, fish filet, warm pita with hummus, a gyro (assembled on your own with their ingredients), a soft drink, and baklava. Considering the fact that I spend $16 on a combo meal at Carl's Jr or a salad wrap at Sweetgreen, this is truly a no brainer. If you do come here for dinner ($29-33), know that you can special order their braised lamb shank. I like to eat this with the pita bread, some roasted veggies, and one of their delicious spreads, but you do what you like.

I stopped by Dimassi's Mediterranean Buffet in Cerritos for a brunch-style meal. For a buffet, the price didn't seem too expensive at first, but after eating, I didn't necessarily feel like it was an amazing value for what I had. To be fair, I went on a weekend, so I paid the highest price. I could see this place being a much better value during weekday lunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside was very clean, which I appreciated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] One thing that felt a little awkward was the service setup. There didn't really seem to be servers inside, and you pay when you leave, so I wasn't completely sure how much tip made sense. I noticed they even had a 10% tip option, so I'm guessing they know the setup can feel a little unclear. The food overall was clean and decent. It felt like they had pretty much everything you would expect from an American-style Mediterranean/Middle Eastern buffet. Nothing really stood out as especially amazing, but there was a good variety, and most of the food gave me that "this is probably healthy" feeling. I'd consider coming back if I were with friends who really like Mediterranean food.

This was our first time at DiMassi's. Our Bank Manager in Huntington Beach who is also a foodie recommended this back in August and we finally got to visit. This is Cafeteria style so upon entry find a table in either dining area and then head to the line grabbing a tray and making your way down the assorted goodies. Really good choice of Mediterranean cuisine with kabobs, four types of chicken including the delicious and off the bone DiMassi's special roast chicken; three different hummus options, pita bread being made fresh in front of you and baklava and two other desserts. The Tabouleh and salads were really good. Love that they had coffee and sodas included in the price. The lady at the front who was the greeter, Manager and cashier was tremendous as was the sweet lady inside picking up the stacks of dishes. This would have been a five star experience but for the fact that mass produced dishes here including the rice, the kabobs, the hummus, even the baklava tasted just standard and not stand out. The exceptional exceptions were the DiMassi's chicken and the Tabouleh. It was $23.50 for lunch which was not bad as drinks and dessert were included. Lots of parking in the front. I am definitely going to come back and try their dinner options and look forward to a five star extravaganza.

Great food quality for the price - their lunch pricing at $21.99 is quite a deal. Dinner at $28.99 is also great too. In addition, at dinner only, each person can order one lamb shank - just this piece of meat alone is worth your $28.99 visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant food section is maintained very cleanly, food is beautifully displayed for a self-serve buffet restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of seating area with ability to accommodate larger parties, and feels family friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The only shortcoming they have is that their fruit section tastes consistently unappealing, and some of the desserts don't tastes too great either. But at least their main dishes taste good. Regardless, this is a regular lunch spot frequented, and would bring friends over for dinner here, if they ever feel like Mediterranean.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great buffet option -extremely clean and well run.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff were good about removing any dirty dishes and silverware. All the food was fresh and pretty healthy. The rose water was also unique and refreshing. So much variety. The chicken soup was especially warming and savory. Highly recommend!

This is my favorite sit down spot to hit my protein and eat healthy after a good workout! I love the variety of food and the service is awesome! From the front desk to even the sweet cleaning lady, everyone welcomed me with a smile. There are so many veggies, proteins, sauces, and even fruit and baklava for dessert! This place is great bang for your buck. A piece of baklava is already $4 at any other restaurant and this place lets you get as much as you want?! The chicken is always SUPER TENDER and soft for me too

I have always wanted to try this place as soon as I heard about them opening up, but it was always packed! The room where the buffet was pretty warm compared to the side room where it was absolutely FREEZING. The inside and the buffet was also really clean, the white LEDs add such a modern look. The restrooms are GORGEOUS. There are so many options of fresh salads, meats, rice, hummus, you name it! I first loaded up a lot on the fresh salad and hummus options. My absolute FAVORITE was the roasted vegetables towards the end of the buffet line. I love to grab a little bit of everything on my plate as I am an absolute foodie and love to try new things. The lamb shank is a MUST. You get 1 included in your buffet, and have to pay an additional $14.99 if you would like another. So much meat on the bone and the meat was SO tender! The desserts had a minimal options, which most of them had a rose water/rose taste, which is not my personal preference as they are too strong in floral flavor for me. The fresh fruit was a nice option to end the night. Something I have NEVER heard of was you pay AFTER your meal! I will be coming back to enjoy more delicious Mediterranean food for dinner. Would highly recommend to anyone and in such a prime location inside the Cerritos Towne Centre.

So many good options here and there's something for everyone! Whether its fall off the bone chicken, tender beef, fresh veggies, and a variety of sauces and dips to complement them! We came here right before the Saturday dinner rush around 5:30 PM and it was honestly the perfect timing! Everything was fully stocked and beautifully displayed, which made the whole buffet experience feel fresh and inviting. They had an impressive variety of hummus flavors, so creamy and well seasoned! The highlight for us were definitely the marinated chicken and beef kebabs. Both were so tender, juicy, and very flavorful! delicious with bold Mediterranean flavors. Everything tasted fresh and even though it was a buffet, there were so many healthy options that you don't feel guilty. The only downside for our personal taste was the dessert selection because many of them had a strong floral flavor that we weren't huge fans of. But overall, the savory spread and quality of the food made it a great experience and we would absolutely come back!

Clean space with great options buffet style. Accommodated 30 people for a birthday party and reserve ahead and everyone pays separately. The pita bread is made fresh and a lot of options from chicken to salads to sauces and desserts and soda drinks and also coffee. Overall I would definitely come ago $30 dinner price

Okay so my best friends birthday and the first time I came here was with him and didn't really enjoy it ... Places are allowed to improve and peeps like myself are allowed to change our minds... About 3.5 years later I'm back to celebrate his birthday and much more enjoyable experience!!!! Friendly staff and food tasted better..... Things seemed a bit fresher and the restaurant seemed more organized than my first experience.... Falafel was good, arugula salad good, cauliflower was awesome, lentils and rice, etc...... Things weren't as salty as my first experience either... What I'm saying is now I'd come back again .....

The restaurant is big, very spacious and has casual yet pretty elegant look to it. They've been there before, and it was my first time I liked the ambiance and appreciated the friendly and attentive staff. We aimed for mostly the seafood, fresh poke/sushi, and hot Chinese dishes. They were delicious. I saw the grilled satay, short ribs, and mackerel, but I didn't try because they looked dry sitting on the hot tray for a while maybe those need to be made to order. The large beef rib was tender and delicious and tasted similar to nilaga or lauya (Filipino style beef soup). I was surprised to see character baon there--so cute that I had to take a pic! How much they charge is worth all that. The staff does bring out their tambourines and sing happy birthday when requested. They'll also store cake in the fridge for you. Will most likely go back there for another occasion.

We have held a baby shower party for our daughter here and she and her husband were happy with the turnout and the outcome then. With such wonderful experience here, we decided to celebrate my wife's milestone birthday with a buffet lunch here last Saturday, July 25. I really appreciate the great collaboration through easy communication and coordination with Jenny, their manager here. She helped me ensure all went well from preparation to execution of the celebration. Almost all our guests raved about how good and delicious the foods were, even their lemongrass iced tea, which a lot of them loved. The costs were fair and reasonable as well as some special accommodations and a couple of complimentary food items by the owner for us for hosting our party here at their Mekeni Restaurant. Thank You and Kudos to the staff for their friendly, consistent, reliable and great overall service their crew and staff rendered to us that day. The team was headed by Jenny, Vanessa and Robert! Aside from the fact that they could have had more electric fans there that day to regulate the uncomfortable warm temperature inside the restaurant that day, everything else went very well and wonderful. We highly recommend Mekeni Pinoy's Pride for dining in, picking up and also having parties to celebrate special events. Let us all continue supporting this Filipino restaurant which makes truly very good quality and delicious Filipino dishes at reasonable prices! Let's Come on down to Mekeni's!

TLDR: It's an overpriced buffet for $25 given the options. If they'd drop the price to..... $20,…read morebut more realistically $23, it MIGHT be worth it. I also feel that the place would be better if they included all the staple Filipino breakfast items (Pandesal, Corned beef, Filipino hotdog, bangus). The taste is arguably 4 stars, but the price point drops the overall feeling to 3-3.5 stars. Food Tocino - It's fine. It tasted kind of store bought, but I think it's good enough to get a few times. Longganisa - It's just.... bad. They were trying to go for the sweet style longganisa, but it missed the spot completely. Beef Tapa - Probably the best option from the viands made available. It's the right blend of saltiness and sourness. The beef also had a good texture. Garlic Rice - I'm glad they didn't mess up one of the cornerstones of Filipino breakfast. It could've been better, but the general quality of the food here was already low enough that it made this one of the better items. Pancit Guisado - Dry, filled with starch filled lobster balls, and could generally use some more stuff in it. I regret getting this and should've eaten more garlic rice Fried Shrimp - I'm glad it's easy to peel, but the shrimp itself is generally flavorless. Egg - I was scared that these mass produced eggs may not have had a runny yolk, but I'm glad to see enough liquid to praise it Tokwa't baboy - The bronze medalist of the meal. The fried tofu was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The pork belly is on the drier end, but it's small enough that it's not hard to eat. Nilaga - Good. Probably my favorite bite. It's seasoned well, the beef is soft, and there's a good amount of vegetables. Champorado - Decent. Shame that I didn't see the milk when I was getting it. Maybe they ran out, maybe they were refilling it as I was getting. Buko Pandan - Very good. Is it store bought? Maybe. It doesn't matter, still good. Service: You pay first before you're assigned a table. There are a lot of staff who are there to keep the tables clean and to mix the food every now and then to prevent the tray from drying out. Ambiance: Bright, spacious, and inviting. A very good place to have Sunday breakfast / brunch.
