Recently rediscovered Dimassi's earlier this year after I forgot about it and went to visit their Anaheim Hills location which has since closed (RIP). Not sure if they've improved or what, but it was really tasty by buffet standards and I instantly became a fan of Dimassi's despite my 2 star review from 3 years ago. Since then I've been coming here every other week lol I'm such a huge fan of the large selection of salads and vegetables they have to choose from. I love the parsley salad, cabbage, roasted vegetables, the vegetable soup, and all the onions/tomatoes they have in some of the dishes on the buffet line. I LOVE rice (wow what a surprise) but here? It's such an afterthought for me. I will gladly eat all the roasted chicken, lamb shank, kofta, etc. with all the salads and veggies. It's the healthiest buffet I've ever been to. Sure, I might finish with a few bites of rice or a falafel or two, but I always leave here feeling healthy which is crazy to say after eating a buffet. No one is getting fat off vegetables and braised lamb and chicken. Well, maybe if you eat enough of the fried chicken (which is great by the way). I'm really bummed the Anaheim Hills location closed down, but I have no problems driving over here instead! I think after my next visit I'll finally get $15 off lmao. Went on a weekend at around 5 p.m., and it was $32.99 per person. Honestly, not bad nowadays for ayce. It also comes with a lamb shank. It is $14.99 extra if you want another one. There is a bell that you have to ring in order to get one. Remember to get it! It's very tender. The salad section was great. It had a good variety of greens, and they were all dressed and seasoned very well. I liked the big cucumber salad and the kale with pita chip salad the most. The pita chips as croutons were very nice and crispy. The hummus section was awesome. My favorite one is the green one. I think it's avocado? You should try them all! Don't get filled up on it, though--save room for the meats! Besides the lamb shank, I liked the kofta and the gyro. The first batch of kofta I had was very juicy, and the second was more on the drier side. Same goes for the gyro. It was cut kind of thick and was a little dry. The garlic sauce they have went very well with it! I also got the beets, and they were my favorite item. They were sweet and tender, cooked to perfection. The cantaloupe and honeydew were both very sweet. I think that's kind of hard to come by these days. Their pudding was okay, not my favorite. The food overall was pretty good. I think that the gyro could have been thinner, a bit thick for me, would still eat it though. They sort of got an Indian mix in their buffet, the problem is that the curry is watered down, and the chicken over done or too loose. Luckily I'm not here for the Indian food. The grilled veggies was the real star of the show, I can't wait to go again to try their greens, but since there's that recall I'm playing safe, looked amazing though. The lamb was tender and great, although it's one shank per person there is a lamb rice dish on the buffet line and you can get more lamb meat. The beef kebab is pretty standard and the rose water is uniquely good. Although I did water mine down a little to reduce the sweetness. The desserts are great, usually the fruits at buffets aren't sweet but these were! The pasteries felt like it was Greek restaurant grade. The buffet section itself is smaller than what you'd expect, but that's not a problem at all, especially if you love Mediterranean food. Buffet Lovers May Enjoy This One, But It Wasn't Quite Our Flavor Hubby and I were on the hunt for a new spot to try and stumbled upon this Mediterranean buffet while browsing Yelp. First things first -- plenty of parking in the plaza, so no need to circle around hunting for a spot. We arrived around 3:30 PM, and since weekday lunch pricing is $21.99 per person from 11 AM-4 PM, we were pleasantly surprised when the hostess kindly allowed us to stay through the transition until 4:30 PM before dinner pricing kicked in. That was definitely appreciated! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is what you'd expect from a buffet: open, spacious, and filled with plenty of tables for larger groups and families.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now onto the food... One thing I really enjoyed was the impressive selection of appetizers and dips. There were several varieties of hummus including spicy hummus, avocado hummus, baba ghanoush, along with a sauce station featuring tahini, tzatziki, and garlic sauce. If you're a dip-and-spread person, you'll probably be pretty happy here. They also had multiple rice options and a variety of proteins. Most of the selections consisted of different styles of chicken, along with fried fish and grilled fish. I believe the lamb shank is only offered during dinner service or on weekends, so unfortunately we missed out on that. As for the food itself, this is where the experience became a little mixed for us. While there were certainly a lot of choices, many of the dishes felt surprisingly similar, and overall the food lacked the bold Mediterranean flavors we were hoping for. Most items were fairly mild and a bit bland for our taste. Nothing tasted bad, but very little stood out enough to make us want to go back for seconds. For dessert, they offered baklava, pistachio rice pudding, and a few other sweet treats, which was a nice way to end the meal. Service, however, was excellent. Everyone we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and attentive, so I'd easily give the service 5/5 stars. Overall, I landed at 3 out of 5 stars. I appreciate the buffet concept, the variety, and the wonderful service, but for hubby and me, flavor is king. Unfortunately, the food just didn't have enough seasoning or wow factor to make us want to return for a second visit. As a buffet, I consider Dimassi's in Cerritos a game changer. This is a Mediterranean themed buffet that's only $22 before 4pm on Monday through Friday. For dinner on the weekdays it's only a few dollars more ($29). On weekends it's $33 all day. I mention the price because I consider it a no-brainer for a weekday lunch. I agree with the criticism that the protein options can be limited. You aren't going to be getting filet mignon kabobs for lunch. But their chicken options, their fried fish filet, and their gyro meat is not bad. If you are looking for the premium kabobs, there are many Mediterranean options in the area that you can get that. What makes this place truly worth it are their delicious salad options, their warm, house made pita bread, their abundant options of spreads (hummus, baba ghanoush, garlic sauce). The multiple options for mediterranean salads are really what I crave from here. For $22, if I can have a multi course meal featuring 4-5 types of refreshing salads, fish filet, warm pita with hummus, a gyro (assembled on your own with their ingredients), a soft drink, and baklava. Considering the fact that I spend $16 on a combo meal at Carl's Jr or a salad wrap at Sweetgreen, this is truly a no brainer. If you do come here for dinner ($29-33), know that you can special order their braised lamb shank. I stopped by Dimassi's Mediterranean Buffet in Cerritos for a brunch-style meal. For a buffet, the price didn't seem too expensive at first, but after eating, I didn't necessarily feel like it was an amazing value for what I had. To be fair, I went on a weekend, so I paid the highest price. I could see this place being a much better value during weekday lunch. This was our first time at DiMassi's. Our Bank Manager in Huntington Beach who is also a foodie recommended this back in August and we finally got to visit. This is Cafeteria style so upon entry find a table in either dining area and then head to the line grabbing a tray and making your way down the assorted goodies. Really good choice of Mediterranean cuisine with kabobs, four types of chicken including the delicious and off the bone DiMassi's special roast chicken; three different hummus options, pita bread being made fresh in front of you and baklava and two other desserts. The Tabouleh and salads were really good. Love that they had coffee and sodas included in the price. The lady at the front who was the greeter, Manager and cashier was tremendous as was the sweet lady inside picking up the stacks of dishes. This would have been a five star experience but for the fact that mass produced dishes here including the rice, the kabobs, the hummus, even the baklava tasted just standard and not stand out. The exceptional exceptions were the DiMassi's chicken and the Tabouleh. It was $23.50 for lunch which was not bad as drinks and dessert were included. Lots of parking in the front. I have always wanted to try this place as soon as I heard about them opening up, but it was always packed! The room where the buffet was pretty warm compared to the side room where it was absolutely FREEZING. The inside and the buffet was also really clean, the white LEDs add such a modern look. The restrooms are GORGEOUS. There are so many options of fresh salads, meats, rice, hummus, you name it! I first loaded up a lot on the fresh salad and hummus options. My absolute FAVORITE was the roasted vegetables towards the end of the buffet line. I love to grab a little bit of everything on my plate as I am an absolute foodie and love to try new things. The lamb shank is a MUST. You get 1 included in your buffet, and have to pay an additional $14.99 if you would like another. So much meat on the bone and the meat was SO tender! The desserts had a minimal options, which most of them had a rose water/rose taste, which is not my personal preference as they are too strong in floral flavor for me. So many good options here and there's something for everyone! Whether its fall off the bone chicken, tender beef, fresh veggies, and a variety of sauces and dips to complement them! We came here right before the Saturday dinner rush around 5:30 PM and it was honestly the perfect timing! Everything was fully stocked and beautifully displayed, which made the whole buffet experience feel fresh and inviting. They had an impressive variety of hummus flavors, so creamy and well seasoned! This was the first time I ate at this establishment. I brought my mother and we had evening rations. This establishment is an all you can eat buffet. Well almost because at least for evening rations, one portion of lamb shanks is included in the price and additional portions of lamb shanks are available at 14.95$ each per person. In addition I saw a sign indicating a two hour time limit for eating. The price is based on the exit time so if someone enters when the lower midday price is in effect and leaves after the change to evening pricing, the higher evening price is charged. Also there is a ten percent senior discount available for those 60 and over. The food was good.. I had pita bread, fried chicken, fried tilapia, a slice of cheese pizza, some lamb gyro strips and a slice of beef lasagna. That food was good but not wonderful. I was not real happy that some of the food items at the buffet had onions as I am allergic to onions. I am deducting a half point due to the onions. For seconds I requested and got the portion of lamb shank. That was wonderful. Drinks were included and I had "wooder" and Orange Fanta. Drink station was self serve. I was disappointed that Pepsi was not available. I am deducting a half point due to lack of Pepsi available. It's a reasonably priced, healthier lunch option for individuals, couples, or groups. Great if you're trying to get more greens into your diet while still having plenty of choices for proteins and different carbs. The price includes beverages. I'm not a big soda fan, but they also offer regular and decaf coffee, plus tea. (If you're someone who lives or work around this area and often eat out, this is probably a great place to come at least once a week to load up on all the bright greens that are much needed.) Try the different hummus flavors -- I like the spicy hummus, or I'll mix it with the avocado spread. The staff is easygoing, the dining area stays clean, and there was ample parking during lunch both times I've visited. Men's restroom: overall it was decently clean, but the urinal stall was broken and still inoperable. Not ideal for any public restroom. I often mention in my restaurant reviews that bathrooms can reflect the kitchen and how detail-oriented management is. My friend and I used to go to Dimassi's religiously in Cerritos until they opened up a location closer to home. I came here recently for a birthday celebration, and I'm happy to see they've maintained the quality of their food. It's located in a large shopping plaza so parking is also no issue. I really enjoy the food here. They have plenty of salads, dips (3 types of hummus, baba ganoush, tzatziki, garlic sauce, etc.), rice mixed with different things, soups, fresh pita, kebabs, dolma, other marinated meats, and more. I'm a BIG fan of the cauliflower, eggplant, garlic sauce, fried fish, marinated chicken (in tomato sauce), and the arugula salad. I have noticed that the fried options like fish and chicken can vary in terms of quality, and the kebabs are a bit on the drier side. In terms of variety, it's primarily Mediterranean dishes/dips/salads, not surprisingly, but there are options for the picky eaters out there like pizza, lasagna, and fried chicken. It doesn't have as much variety compared to an Asian buffet, but the options are still relatively diverse and (in my opinion) are higher quality. That is to say it is on the pricier side (weekends: ~$36+), so if you don't have a big appetite, it's probably more cost-effective to go to a regular Mediterranean restaurant and order single dishes. They used to offer rose water but they got rid of the it a few years back and sadly I did not see it resurfaced this time around. Since it was my first time I asked them a lot of questions and they were happy to answer. We were waiting for everyone from our party and they told us we get a table and eat and wait for everyone else to come. You also pay after you're done eating and you could also take home food, but they charge you by the lbs. There's a lot of choices of food. The buffet was always clean and trays were filled. Very nice place. The first thing you notice when u enter here is how clean it is. The choices are pretty decent, price was $22 pp for lunch (Oct 2025) but it also includes foubtain drinks and coffee. Chicken was pretty good. I also liked chicken soup, garlic sauce and salad. Some of the food was a bit bland but adding a bit of salt made it all good. I think thats good esp if you wanna watch salt intake. Dessert was impressive. Baklava was 8/10, rice pudding 10/10, Namoura 10.5/10 Service was pretty prompt and nice. Soneone was always cleaning or taking your plates. Honestly with the whole experience and food quality, this place is a solid 4* but with such a good price, it is well over 5*. read more

If you get into lunch and stay after 4:00 p.m. then you pay for lunch price and dinner price. I love their falafels, and lamb gyros (lamb meat)! We came about 30 minutes before closing and everything was still fresh and well-stocked. The food was being replenished consistently, which I really appreciated (especially that close to closing time). The lamb was flavorful, the chicken was juicy, and the sides tasted fresh, not like they'd been sitting out all day. Mediterranean foods are healthier food choices and have been recommended by many medical experts for heart health. My friend and I came here on a Friday to try out its lunch buffet. My friend is vegetarian and he usually avoids buffet believing that he won't find much to eat and it would be a waste of money for him. Well, he was pleasantly surprised, from the array of the salad dishes, the hot from the oven pita bread, the lentil soup, the warm rice dishes, and Coke Zero! He was a happy clam! We counted that they have total of 55 dishes including the desserts ! I loved the salads, the hummus, the lentil soup, the Basmati rice, grilled cauliflowers, falafel balls, and the baklava. The fish in the soup was so-so, maybe grilling will save it. Very space dining areas that are divided to three sections and with additional patio seatings. It's clean and inviting; however, the bathroom was not as expected and my friend stated that the men stores were with broken parts. The service was good with empty plates cleared promptly and the dishes were always refilled quickly. $21.99 for weekend day lunch, 4pm onwards $28.99, and weekends $32.99; and kids 3-9 $12.99; they also offer to-go. This place has been on my list for a long time and finally being able to come to this place did not disappoint! There is a plentiful selection of delicious foods from vegetables and salads, to meats, to desserts, you name it! And various types of hummus. What's not to like! My favorite were the lamb and gyro meat with the fresh pita bread. Simply delicious! Service was good, but it's a buffet so you are your own server for the most part. There was plenty of parking in the plaza. We were able to seat ourselves right away. It wasn't too crowded and the place was clean. They offered a good variety of choices including vegetables, chicken dishes, and dessert. However, some of the salad didn't appear as fresh as we'd hoped. The staff came around often to clear our plates, making sure we were done before removing anything. The noise level was low so we were able to talk to each other while enjoying our meal. I have always wanted to try this place out but my fam bam is not inter Mediterranean. This past Sunday, I was finally able to enjoy this with a high school friend. The establishment is super clean and there are no strong food smells as you enter in. They let us choose our own seats and off to the buffet line we went. The plastic plates did not stick like Asian restaurants and the food display was simply amazing. Beautiful. Healthy. Flavored just right. The layout of the veggies first. Bread and soup in the middle and then meats at the end along with sodas and dessert was great. If you desired just a specific item, it was convenient to find in each section. Usually buffets are stingy on the meat. This place is bee generous and there wasn't ever an empty tray. I take it back, the garlic paste thing was usually running low. Good buffet and excellent price. I'm not a big eater anymore and rarely go to a buffet but I'm glad I made an exception today. There are probably at least 40-50 items to choose from and as much as I tried to sample every single item, my stomach was completely full after 3 plates. I can honestly say I liked everything I ate except maybe the desserts, which tasted a little too sweet for me. Overall, the food selection here is impressive and the price is rather cheap for this quality of food ($24 including tax). The service is excellent and there are plenty of parking in the strip mall. Mmmm..the selections.. I love the chicken, it's so tender and juicy! And their drink selections are refreshing! It's pretty much self service, and they're helpful there too!
