We were in the area and craving some tacos. Wow! I was pleasantly surprised by how great our experience was. We ordered the O.G. Burrito with carne asada ($13.99) and the O.G. Plate with beef birria ($18.99). While the food took a little while to come out, it was absolutely worth the wait. The O.G. Burrito was generously filled with cheese, rice, beans, and tender carne asada, all wrapped in a perfectly toasted tortilla. The meat had a wonderful smoky flavor, and the burrito itself was huge, making it a filling and satisfying meal for the price. The highlight for me was the O.G. Plate, which came with a taco, quesataco, mulita, and quesadilla. Everything was loaded with meat and toppings, served piping hot, and cooked to crispy perfection. Every single item on the plate was delicious! I also loved that both entrées came with pickled radishes, red and green salsa, and plenty of lime wedges. The service was excellent as well. The staff was attentive and quick to accommodate anything we needed. The restaurant is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. While indoor seating is limited, there is ample outdoor seating. I also ordered their quesataco with birria and asada, regular asada taco, and their homemade churros. Out of the tacos, I liked the asada quesataco the best. For the churros, one order comes with two. I got an order of churros with lechera and another with Nutella. The churros were okay - maybe I expected more because the churros are made in-house. They do satiate the sweet tooth cravings, but I wouldn't go out my way for these. Their horchata, on the other hand, is really good (on the pricer end)! Pap Tacos is a chain, somewhat small. All of their food is great and they have a few things you will not find elsewhere. We love this one. Parking is easy and free and the place is always clean and very comfortable. We love eating there. We have not done take away yet, but we will one day. The prices are very fair. You get a lot of food and all of it is freshly made. They have churros that are also made there with great toppings. You get in line and order your food. The wait is not long, but it does take a few minutes. We like this location, it is not as packed as some of the others. The service is just great. They know the menu and get your order right the first time. What we love is their beans, they are the best. Their rice is great and all of their burritos and tacos are stand out. They even have a burrito with French fries in it, now I think it is just too much, but our grandson loves it and now refuses to try anything different. We also love their nachos. Absolutely delicious. We had 2 "OG" platters, one with Asada, and the other with chicken along with horchata, because how can you have tacos without that?... Both were flavorful, and we could taste the flame kissed flavor throughout. We also ordered a birria taco on the side and it was also delicious. Definitely worth the try, on our way from the movies. Honestly, not too sure how I felt about this place. The O.G. Burrito was good and I finished it but like it wasn't amazing or like as good as it was hyped but that's my personal opinion. I like to be able to hold my burritos and eat them, but because it's so wet from all the grease and juices from the fillings it fell apart constantly. The Churro was probably the highlight, it was surprisingly really good. I would love to try the O.G. plate if I ever decide to come back, I feel that would be better for me. Service was ehh, I feel like I misinterpreted the service because of the tone of voice and the behavior with other customers after me but it wasn't terrible. Churros were everything I dream about--freshly fried, crispy on outside, pillowy on inside, smell of cinnamon. My new favorite churro in LA--until I find somewhere better. MAIN COURSE: I tried 2 different kinds of meat--chicken and birria. Both were okay, but not a flavor explosion, like some other taco shops I've been to. Ordered an og plate so I can try a little of everything. Here are my pros and cons Cons 1.asked for light onion and cilantro. To me It was the complete opposite. I got more than what was necessary. If your paying for food and ask for X or Y it be nice if they done so 2. The consommé. It tasted bland to me. Which was really disappointing. 3. On the website the presentation of the food is what made me wanted to try it. For example in most of the pictures, the tortillas looked to be coated/dipped consommé and fried or what have you. But my tortillas they was slightly crispy but nothing like what the pictures sold me on. 4. The asada was ok. Perhaps I should have gotten the birria. Pros 1. Plentiful food. That's been my review. This is my current favorite taco shop and I am loving it sooooo much! We plan on going back again this weekend :) They have a simple menu made right! Just pick you want and choose you meat: Carne Asada, Pollo Asada & Beef Birria. We shared 2 Street Tacos and an OG Plate (street taco, quesataco, mulita, & quesadilla w/ a cup of consome). Everything was 5-Stars for sure, but my favorite was the Birria Mulita! I recommend getting the OG Plate for first timers because its a sample of almost everything on the menu! For so long Teddy Red tacos was the spot for birria for me but today I came to Papi Tacos & Churros and let me just say "Wow" every bite I took had me dancing and cursing of how good it was. Service was very friendly. This was our first visit and we had the OG Birria plate, the OG Asada Burrito, 3 Asada Tacos as well as an horchata. The asada at first bite was very tender and you can definitely taste the open flame flavors of the meat. Won us over! The birria is perfectly braised, the consomé is liquid gold and compliments it perfectly. The red sauce is a perfect blend of spice and smokiness. The horchata wasn't too sweet, refreshing. The service is fast, and the staff are attentive. The location is very clean, and there's always a seat available...at least every time I've been. I haven't tried the churros yet, but they seem to be a big hit. A family came in and ordered 40 right before I placed my order! Because of the wait, I decided I'll come back next time to try them. A unique twist: they don't serve the typical sodas like Coke or Pepsi. Instead, they offer a different brand that's similar in taste. This place was really good, found them on Yelp because I was in the Norwalk area. The establishment is really clean. There's indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered a Carne Asada potato with all the fixings except for cream cheese, and I got guacamole on the side. I also asked for different sauces, both green sauce's and 1 red sauce. I also got an order of churros. I really enjoyed the potato. My only complaint about the potato is I felt like the meat tasted more like steak meat, brisket, and not real Carne Asada flavor if that makes sense. The churros were delicious, like they were so good. I ate 1 on the way home, & I ate the other one hours later and it was still crisp. Still good. I didn't even have to warm it up. All in all I do recommend but again the meat reminded me more of brisket and not Carne Asada. read more

The woman working the cashier was very unpleasant and acted like she didn't want to be bothered. In customer service, attitude matters--especially when the prices aren't cheap. Because of that experience alone, I wouldn't come back. We're paying customers, and poor service can easily ruin an otherwise decent meal. Additionally, the churros were undercooked and very doughy when bitten into--extremely basic and not something I'd recommend. The horchata also didn't taste like horchata at all; it was more reminiscent of butterscotch. Overall, the food had potential, but the service and inconsistencies made it disappointing. read more
