My bf got a half/half wet burrito which they DONT make, so don't even bother asking for it because we asked if they do that and they said no. However, when they brought it out to us, they did accommodate us. That was a kind gesture. So A+ for that. As my bf said, we got "Yelpfished". We were born and raised in SOUTHEAST LA, where there are taquerias EVERYWHERE. I know a thing or two about authentic , Mexican, real good CARNE ASADA tacos. This is literally a hole in the wall spot, so do not expect a fancy restaurant. The food and service were great. The staff was very friendly. I ordered several different types (chicharron, asada, pastor, barbacoa) of tacos in order to sample the different choices. My favorites were the chicharron and pastor. They have a really affordable lunch combo (2 tacos, rice, and beans) for about $10, and they give free beverages to Cerritos College studios with ID. I always come here for a quick and easy lunch when I'm in the area. The staff are all really friendly, and the food is fresh with generous portions. I love the Carne Asada and the Al Pastor tacos - the meat is very flavorful. Their salsa is also great - a bit spicy for a weakling like me, haha, so use sparingly. The food here is really good, I've tried their tacos, their burritos, asada fries etc. It's a little hole in the wall because it's surrounded by a gas station and a barber shop. The staff here is really friendly and speak both English and Spanish but they'll greet you in the beginning in Spanish. It's a small place so if you come wanting to dine in there's about a couple tables. I always order to go because it hits just the same. Came across this place on yelp when I was in the area. It's a small establishment located right next to the gas station and a barbershop. We placed a large order when we went because we wanted to try different items. I ordered the chicken nachos and they were delicious and full of flavor! Definitely would order them again. We also ordered shrimp tacos, asada, pastor, fish and carnitas tacos. Everything we ordered was flavorful. You cannot go wrong with these options. We did have one incident with the service. The woman at the register wasn't rude, but she wasn't very polite either. Once we got our order we left, it's also my fault for not checking the bag, but they failed to give us, I believe it was two or three tacos. I called them back once we arrived home. We don't live in the area so there was no way I wanted to drive back especially it being traffic hour in the evening when everyone is getting off work. When I called and spoke to the gentleman, he double checked my receipt in his system and realized that he had not put the correct amount of tacos in my order. He was able to rectify the issue by offering us to go back and get the tacos or simply offering us a refund which I thought was excellent customer service. Similar to the squeezed little parking lot outside, the inside of the shop is narrow, with a few long tables and hardly any counter space at the register. One of the benefits of the tight space though is that no matter where you stand, the kitchen SMELLS amazing. Their combos are where it's at -- two (super substantial) tacos, plus rice and beans and an agua fresca for about $9 is so worth it. Their carne asada is really good, tender meat that's flavorful and not too chewy; their chicharron is apparently really good too. The rice reminded me of homemade, sprinkled with peas, and the beans were super smooth (and salty, and delicious). They weren't super generous with their salsas, but a little went a long way. Round it all out with some ultra-sweet-but-still-refreshing-af aguas, and call it a day. Or at least like a really filling lunch. I highly recommend checking this place out! read more

Our first time visiting tonight! We enjoy authentic taquerias and we could tell by the delicious aroma when we walked in that the food would be great. The young woman behind the counter was so helpful and friendly. My husband has a California burrito with carnitas and I had a carnitas burrito with cheese, pico de gallo and guacamole (not on the menu, but I mentioned I'm trying to eat more protein focused so she asked me what I wanted in my burrito). Their portions are HUGE!! Their tortillas are homemade and they grill them slightly, which added amazing flavor! The carnitas were moist and flavorful! We ordered a side of chips and pico and she also included a side of their homemade beans to dip! Overall, a really wonderful experience! Our food arrived quickly to the table. I was very impressed with these tacos. They were well cooked and nothing seemed dry to me. The buche, chicharon, al pastor, and cuerito were the standouts regarding the flavor and how well cooked they were. The lengua was cooked nice but wasn't as flavorful as the others. It wasn't worth the extra 0.85 imo. I was also a fan of their salsa because it wasn't too hot for me and it had great taste. I forgot to mention their corn tortillas were really good as well. It had great flavor and bite to compliment the meat filled tacos. Will come back for sure! I forgot to mention the guy prepping the tacos!
