    Gunner Breakfast Burrito
    Lawrence H.

After making a Sam Woo run, I felt the hankering for a breakfast burrito. NTC is a cozy cafe located in a strip mall. Today, I ordered the Gunner Breakfast Burrito with bacon and sauce on the side. Really good tasting burrito. They use a home styled potato. Included were a chili verde sauce, spicy red sauce and something with sour cream. All 3 were good with the burrito. Service was very friendly.

No Toro Cafe is a great breakfast spot with a cool military-themed atmosphere that gives it a lot of character. The place feels welcoming and has a strong local, community feel. The chilaquiles are a must-try -- flavorful, perfectly cooked, and very filling. You can tell everything is made with care, and the portions are solid. Pair it with their coffee and you're set for the morning. Service is friendly and attentive, and the overall experience makes this place stand out from your typical breakfast joint. Definitely worth stopping by if you're looking for a hearty breakfast with personality. Highly recommend!

Came here with my niece for our little breakfast spot to try out this past Saturday morning. She got the pancake special, I ordered the waffle special, and we shared a side of potatoes. So, so, so good. Thank you everyone, especially the lady chef who was hanging all with gusto. We sat next to her and even though she was shielded, I coukd still see the griddle, she was non stop, and in a beautiful zone. Will be back :)

Really good chilaquiles if you are in the area. The only thing I wish they had on them was beans, but still really good without them. The Cafe de olla was also delicious.

We hadn't been here in a while but this place continues to be great. We arrived and we were promptly seated, we order the cafe de olla and the coffee had a great flavor. My mom asked for a hotter cup and they happy to bring her another cup. Both of our dishes were delicious the chilaquiles salsa was tasty and the chips were crunchy. I have to highlight their meat as it was very soft and it actually came medium rare as ordered. They came and refilled our coffee and checked in on us multiple times. A plus was that they were playing the Sunday football games on their tv.

Been coming here since the year they opened in 2016 and have never had a bad experience! They always have good food and a simple menu that is all very delicious

Steak Chopper Chilaquiles, Banana Pecan Pancakes

We ordered the steak chilaquiles and the pecan banana pancakes - both were so delicious! The portions were just right, and we still split everything to share. Service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere inside was calm and relaxing. I really enjoyed my breakfast and can't wait to come back!

No Toro Cafe is Veteran owned and operated. Canvas prints of service members adorn the walls. Today, the owner (and wonderful friend) Yvonne Magaña accepted a print of my son Lt. Nicolas Leiva for her restaurant. I urge everyone local to support this place, which features many menu items reminiscent of a good mess tent or hall. My specialty favorites, however, are the café de olla (Mexican coffee with cinnamon) and French toast with bananas and pecans.

Great breakfast spot in a small shopping center. Place was cozy and clean and service was excellent. Chilaquiles were delicious. Met Ivonne, the owner, and had a pleasant chat. Happy to support this small business.

I had been wanting to try this place for a while since it is so close to me and I saw some Yelp friends post about it. Location- small strip mall that also has Belly Bombz and TJs Sandwiches; no problem finding close, free parking; inside is small and basic looking Staff- we got a younger guy who was a bit timid and hard to hear; food came out in a reasonable time Food- the food was nothing special and the serving size was noticeably small (esp. the potatoes) *convenient since it is maybe 2 miles from our house but we won't be returning...there are just so many other places to choose from that provide a better deal for your $

Hey guys, I love supporting this small breakfast joint aside for great delicious breakfast and fast friendly service staffs .This is owned and operated by a Veterans. The place is decorated with military memorabilia, simple but each time I order I'm reminded by the lives of the Veterans who served for our country. So when you're in Artesia please support this place. Thank y'all.

I asked for a bacon burrito not an egg burrito.

Ask the Community - No Toro Cafe

    Does the establishment serve alcohol?

    No it doesn’t.

Do you have a no wait list?

this question doesn't make sense; if you are asking if they have a wait list, then yes they do, this place is popular and more so on weekends so it needs a wait list.

Is this a vegetarian restaurant? No Toro = No Beef? Should be clear in their description.

No Toro just means “No Bull” meaning we’re not messing around! Our food is tasty. We do have some vegetarian options if you’re interested. However our name doesn’t mean no beef.

I usually get the garden omelette, which comes with hashbrowns & toast but I usually substitute the toast for two pancakes, which is three dollars more, my husband gets an omelette and he keeps the toast and we just share the toast & the pancakes. The omelette has fresh pieces of vegetables in it , gives it a nice crunch and bursting with flavor! I've had the French toast, which is really good ! They also make their own jam, which is so delicious ! I look forward to a piece of toast with jam every time I go, the peach and the raspberry are my favorite. The wait staff is on top of things! In spite of it being so busy, they are quick, friendly and efficient every time! I kind of don't wanna leave this review and gate keep the place but that just wouldn't be nice ! My husband and I are retired and we have been going there at least once a week , it's so so so good! I had to edit this review because I wanted to mention that I was reading some of the other reviews and somebody said the pancake " just OK" I am very picky about my pancakes and these pancakes are so good ! Served with warm syrup and lots of butter! But very flavorful without anything on them too. Fresh squeezed orange juice as well ! I forgot to mention that! The biscuits were great, crispy on the edges, soft in the middle. The gravy was too salty for both of us. It's our first time here, so I'm not certain if that is how the gravy normally is or if they just got a bit heavy handed with the salt today. Unfortunately, great food and friendly service weren't enough to outweigh the inconveniences. I'm not high-maintenance, but I do value a smooth dining experience. We were told they could accept two forms of payment on one check, but when it came time to pay, they would only split the bill evenly, even though I ordered more than my friend. The seating was very cramped, there wasn't a mirror in the restroom, and the toilet didn't flush. The food was great, but the overall experience wasn't. I'd recommend ordering to-go instead.
