    Breakfast Crepe

My coworker and I stopped in to kill some time & talk about work. We were pleasantly surprised. The owner made a pot of fresh coffee for us and kept our cups full. The food was delicious and the space was very cute & cozy! There's also seating outside the back area. The breakfast crepe was perfect. The Marsala crepe was just as yummy, personally I would've liked more sauce. There was plenty of sauce, I'm just a saucey person.

Used yelp to find a crepe place so that's what brought me here. The cook was my waiter. He was very welcoming. He took my crepe order and I got it nice and hot. I have had a lot of crepes in the past, even in Paris. The inside was good, bacon, egg and cheese but the crepe itself was very gummy and a little thick. Not bad just not typical. Someone who has never had crepes wouldn't even notice. They have wooden chairs and some cushion chairs. Piano music was playing in the beginning and then it switched up to Christian music. There is also outdoor seating in the back and front of the restaurant. It's in a very quiet hidden neighborhood. It's like a quiet Main Street in a small town and you transported out from Long Beach. I got a vibe this is more for the neighborhood to enjoy since it's very hidden. I got the check and found out they don't take credit cards. Only CASH AND ZELLE. That was very odd because I have never used Zelle for a restaurant only to buy merch or maybe to pay for a haircut. I scan the QR code and the name of the business doesn't come up but I'm paying OLIVE BRANCH MINISTRY, also odd. I made a note how much was the tip and I hope my server/cook gets it.

Amazing spot! Plenty of space indoor and outdoor. Crepes are their speciality and they are sooo sweet and fluffy . Amazing service and intimate setting. Definitely 2005 vibes and I love it!

I stopped in on the weekend about an hour before closing for some dessert crepes. Important to note that this is a cash/venmo establishment, seemingly a small local shop. The interior was clean and bright with spatterings of Christian decor. The people were nice and took our order swiftly. I ordered a creme brulee crepe with strawberries and bananas, whilst my friend got the Nutella crepe with strawberries and bananas. And order of crepes came with two crepes with filling. The custard and fruit in the crepe was delicious but the crepe itself is lacking presence. The crepe was overshadowed by the fillings because it was real thin (maybe lessen the filling or thicken the layers?). The Nutella crepe was also served with mixed berry sauce, which was a bit strange. My friend didn't enjoy it but it probably could be removed. All in all, good crepe fillings, just an imbalance is present.

What a cozy little cafe in Long Beach. The Gathering Cafe is located on the corner of E Village Road and Montair Ave. There is no lot to park in, so you'll need to street park in the neighborhood. The space is very open with its purple painted walls on the coffee bar side, and pictures hung up on the white walls across the room. There were a out 6 tables or so, the staff was kind enough to add another table to sit our party of 6. There is a singular restroom near the back which also leads out to patio seating. We ordered crepes which were a good portion of the menu, but they have sandwiches and soups. As a part of a food crawl with friends we split the Chicken Marsala, Burrito, and Creme Brulee crepes. The Chicken Marsala crepe was delicious, the sauce was creamy. Nice cheese pull too, chunks of chicken throughout. The Crepe Burrito was a nice take on a breakfast burrito using a crepe instead of a tortilla. I really liked how light it made it. Eggs were fluffy, with bits of bacon throughout and the spicy salsa was perfect. The creme Brulee crepe was a nice ending. It wasn't totally creme brulee but it wasn't bad by any means. Custard in with bananas and strawberries, simple but still light and just the right amount of sweet. I also ordered a Salty Caramel Latte. It was a little on the sweeter side but not overly sweet. Nice foam and smooth going down. This place is a perfect brunch spot if you're looking for one. Would come back to try more crepes!

Definitely a very nice place to share a meal with friends. The food was excellent. We tried the chicken marsala crepe amd the vegetarian panini. Both were full of flavor and just delicious. It was nice to discover that the owner is the same as as another favorite restaurant from the past, Delightful Crepes. Service was great.

This is a nice quaint cafe with a small patio out back. The menu costs it of mostly Crepes and Sandwiches along with Coffee and Smoothies. I'm always a sucker for a good Panini so I ordered the Italian. It was good but not great, so as I'm expected I suppose. The service was good, but the kitchen was slow, so I would recommend this place if you about to starve, but it's nice to meet with some old friends and break bread with some good conversation. They offer a free Regular Crepe for Yelpers, and we opted to add Bananas and Strawberries for $2.25. It made for a really nice desert.

Located near Heartwell Park and Village Rd in Long Beach, this creperie is hidden and it's interesting! I came on a weekday for breakfast and it was quiet. Ambiance feels like you're in a home patio in Lakewood and service was friendly, but not doting. Talked to chef and they've been around for 7 years locally and 17 years in LB. This was previously known as "delightful crepes". I've lived here for a while, but didn't know this place was here as it's hidden from the busy traffic. Was only able to hear about this through yelp and their huevos rancheros crepe is what caught my eye. Their huevos rancheros was nice. It gave me bean and cheese burrito vibes, but their runny egg and homemade salsa were nice. I mean that in the best way possible. I did want a boost of spice/heat, so I added some habanero hot sauce. I didn't miss a tortilla as their freshly made crepe was a fun substitute; however a crispy texture (crispy onion/crisped tortilla strips, crisped potato strings) could have elevated it further. Apparently, you could order "house potatoes" as a side dish and I think I should have done that. Their most popular crepe is apparently their chicken marsala crepe, but their chili relleno crepe special caught my eye. I Checked in and they had a "yelp check in deal" for a complementary classic crepe, which was a simple crepe with brown butter and brown sugar. It was the perfect dessert and palate cleanser. Next time I come back, I'd like to try their custard filled, "creme brulee crepe". I did order a salted caramel latte and they use the torani syrups to flavor the coffee. Their hours are limited, but they're open for brunch hours daily. Support small business! Important Note: CASH/VENMO/ZELLE ONLY

Quaint and homey cafe that seems to be able to transport customers to an exotic neighborhood, The Gathering Cafe offers plenty of interesting brews, but it's the large selection of crepes that really steals the show. It was my first visit, and the chicken marsala crepe opened my mind on what's possible with a well prepared crepe. It's not only delicious and flavorful, but it's a substantial crepe filled with high-quality ingredients. Every bite is a blessing. Perhaps because it's tucked away in the back of a shopping center, it was not crowded during lunch time. The clientele tends to be older too. I was the youngest customer, and I am already in my fifties. They serve breakfast and lunch, and close early at 3:00 pm. Soak in the nostalgic vibe of the restaurant and be ready to be transported to a different dining experience.

The food here is amazing. Everything taste so fresh! It was nice and cozy inside, went early in the morning there was hardly anyone there. Service was great, the gentlemen helping us was so friendly. He gave great suggestions on what to try. I'm coming here again!

    Ube pancakes

Simone is amazing....so friendly and welcoming, she really makes you feel at home. All the food was delicious! The pancakes (not pictured) were perfectly fluffy and flavorful. We also tried their new Ube crêpes, and they were incredible....just the right amount of sweetness, and the coconut flakes added a nice little crunch. The ambience is great too ....a cool, comfy spot with plenty of patio seating. I also love that they use alkaline water for their coffee....it tastes so much smoother and less acidic .....and even the water they serve is super refreshing. Overall, the staff is wonderful, and everything we tried was delicious. Highly recommend!

Chicken Marsala is a must for first timers! 10/10

I'm so happy we have a new breakfast spot that serves excellent crepes! I've been craving it so much since La Creperie closed. This place makes really good Chicken Marsala. It was filling and good for sharing. I can't wait to go back and try the rest on the menu. Street parking is easy to find. Come early because they get pretty busy. There's more seatings outdoor in the back if you have a bigger group. I love that this place is kid-friendly.

For starters, we got the Parker House Rolls, which comes with truffle butter, local citrus honey, and grana padano cheese. These rolls were so fluffy and flavorful. We also ordered the hummus, which was so rich and creamy, and the oysters from the raw bar. For the main, we ordered the Smoked & Glazed Pork Chop, Fish & Chips, and the Wedge salad to share. And let me tell you, that everything was so good. The Smoked & Glazed Pork Chop came with a whole show, where staff would bring out the dish in a smoke-infused glass dome and open the dome when presented on the table so we can smell and see all the smoke. Not only was it beautiful to look at, but it tasted just as beautifully. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the rainbow swiss chard, cheddar grits, candied pecans, and avocado honey helped balance out all the juiciness from the meat. They use haddock fillet for the Fish & Chips, which was fried to perfection. The Wedge Salad is what actually knocked my socks off! This was one of the best wedge salads that I've ever had. It had your key ingredients: iceberg, buttermilk dressing, red onion, crumbled egg, tomato, bacon gastrique, blue cheese, dill, chives - but something about this salad was different! It was so refreshing, flavorful--just everything you want in a dish. We ended the dining experience with their Peach Cobbler Hand Pie, which came with streusel, pistachio crumble, salted caramel, and vanilla ice cream. Can't wait to go back when I'm in the area!

This place popped up, and it was happy hour. So we thought why not. We got lucky and found parking close (rare for that street). And walked over and immediately loved the vibe. We walked in and were greeted immediately, and then brought upstairs. The decor on the way up was awesome. The old school nature, with paintings and abstract vintage pieces.. love. It felt like we were in an old industrial building. We were surprised that it was pretty empty when we got up there. We sat at the bar, and love the decor upstairs too. There's a view of the street from up there as well that's beautiful. The bartender greeted us fairly quickly, and we each ordered a speciality cocktail on their happy hour. Both were delicious. I will say that the prices are a bit steep for me. Very glad we came during the happy hour. But really want to return to try the food and more drinks. Maybe on a special date night out!

Approximately an hour after we arrived, they did turn on a rather large fan, which made it much more comfortable in the heat. They were very crispy and we really enjoyed the sauce that it came with. We both ordered off of the Special Dine LA menu that's is offered twice a year. The Brussels Sprouts were crispy yet tender. They were flavorful and tasty. I ordered the Filet Medallions. Unfortunately, I had to send my plate back as the meat was more medium rare, and I asked for medium. I have to say that it did return pretty quick and it was cooked perfectly. The meat was very tender and seasoned well. My husband ordered the Chicken Milanese and the lemon sauce was delightful For dessert, I ordered the Gateaux chocolat and it was decadent. My husband ordered the butterscotch bread pudding and he loved it. Overall, the food was very tasty and we will come back and try the downstairs dining. We will definitely come back for the rooftop dining when the weather cools down.

We started with appetizers: mussels ($23) and braised lamb belly ($25). For the main course, we ordered a ribeye steak ($69), Scottish salmon ($46), and "dirty pasta" ($36). Drinks included a glass of wine ($17) and a glass of Coke ($4.50). With tax ($23.15) and an "employee benefits" charge ($5.51), the total came to $249.16 before gratuity. The mussels are cooked in a broth of white wine, nduja sausage, tomatoes, onions, lemon juice, and parsley, with a toasted baguette served on the side. I liked the overall taste of the dish, but the mussels were small. The braised lamb belly was an interesting dish, as it was served with kimchi and thin sheets of daikon radish on the side. I assumed the idea was to make a "taco" by combining the three components. I liked it, though the lamb had bit of gaminess which might not appeal to everyone. The ribeye plate comes as steak only, with sides available à la carte. The steak was cooked nicely--juicy and flavorful, though I was a bit surprised by how rich it tasted. The "dirty pasta" features large rigatoni, ground duck, ricotta, and sauce. It was good, and the duck made for an interesting change from the usual beef. As a complete plated meal, I think the Scottish salmon was impressive--both for its visual presentation and the taste of the meal as a whole. The restaurant floor has a split-level design. Upon entering, you'll find a large oval bar surrounded by tables and booths. Step down a level, and there are seats offering views of the Long Beach marina. This area with a view is protected by windows--which is good, as the marine air is often cool and breezy. It seems that nearly all the establishments owned by this restaurant group have names starting with the letter or word "A." When searching online, use the words "a pch restaurant," as "a pch" alone is apparently too vague a search term. A final note to management: I was surprised to see a $5.51 charge for "employee benefit" on our bill. I playfully asked our server what benefits this covered, but they didn't know. They mentioned it could be removed if I objected, but I chose not to. My point is, if you're charging diners, shouldn't your staff be able to explain it? And if the line item can be so easily discharged, maybe you shouldn't be adding it in the first place.

I am glad that I finally got to dine in at this place; however, it is for special occasions only (in my book) as it came to 115.00 for 2 (before tip) & that was with no alcoholic beverages (just soda). I did notice on their website that they have "oyster hour" (happy hour with oysters) 6 days a week so I'd definitely like to try that with more reasonable pricing!

Finally made it out and they are about to close. :(…read more It was very busy when we arrived and we had to wait about 20 minutes, but after being seated, everything was smooth. Trying several items on the menu provided us a nice sampling of what they have to offer. We enjoyed everything we ordered. My favorite was probably the Brussel sprouts as they were cooked to perfection and not sweet like most restaurants serve them. A close 2nd was the chicken parmesan served over zucchini noodles. The final item ordered was a mushroom pasta with shrimp. The shrimp were fantastic with a light char and perfect flavoring. The pasta was good. It was a bit to spicy for me with the chili oil so I only had a small portion. The inside is simple yet inviting with an open layout. They seemed a bit short staffed, but every one was hustling and honestly we were well taken care of. Sad I won't have another opportunity to try more of the menu, but grateful to squeeze in this visit before they close in about a week.

It's been a while since the last time I've visited for dinner and drinks. This time, we stopped by…read moreSaturday evening with no reservations. It did look quite busy on the patio when we checked in with the hostess. We were informed that it would prob be about 20 minutes or so for a table and if we wanted to wait at the bar. Exactly what we did. Bar area had maybe 5/6 hi top chairs that look onto the bar. Gabriel and Francisco who were working was knocking the drinks out one by one. Sitting there and just watching them create magic for everyone, it was quite amusing. Seeing how it's made and presented with precise detail, it was an art. While waiting for the table we started off with the raspberry lychee martini and the spicy margaritas. Both were great. The right amount of kick with each sip. Gabriel was knocking them out one by one and man was he busy. Fransisco took are of us while we were eating which we ended up just having our dinner at the bar instead. The last time I remembered the chicken Parmesan which was excellent. So we started off with the grilled prawns as a starters. Five prawns in a skewers and grilled with a delicious sauce accompanied. It was tasty and quite delicious. Decent size and meaty for each bite. Entrees was a little mishap as our meal was mistakenly given to the party next to us which they enjoyed. Honesty mistake but we laughed it off. Kitchen was informed and a rushed was put on our order. We weren't in a rush so it was fine with us. They apologized and graciously offered us a dessert after dinner. Something simple but very graceful for the honest mistake. Entrees, the wild mushrooms pasta which was quite tasty and pretty decent in size. The cream sauce which wasn't too over powering the meal was great. Each bite was very tasty. Then there was the chicken Parmesan which why we were here and expecting. The last visit it was excellent with grilled broccolini, slices of tomatoes on top and mozzarella cheese and onto spaghetti pasta. It was great. Thinking it would be the same this time which it wasn't. This visit, it was just served with squash pasta and buffalo mozzarella on top. Honestly it wasn't what I expected, somewhat of a little disappointed. Chicken was good don't get me wrong. But the hot meat with sauce and then you have literally COLD squash pasta paired with it. It was a little underwhelming. Overall, we still had a nice experience. The place was pretty full and of course the lakers were on so it was fun seeing everyone cheering them on. Bar seating for a meal was great as we had fun conversations with both Gabriel and Francisco. Plus they were cranking them drinks out one by one. Excellent in what they do. The drinks were great, grilled prawns and wild mushrooms pastas were excellent. Chicken parm, this time was a miss. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and cocktails. Also the dessert, highly recommend the Cinnabon with vanilla ice cream. Wow, it went down very well. Hoping next time will outdo this.
