Spanish latte
Kevin O.

LOTS OF SPACE Simply put, this place has a big interior and many tables for patrons. But it doesn't mean it's going to be easy to find a seat, or parking. But if you do manage, it has really good Potatoe tacos, breakfast sandwiches, and great baristas to prepare matcha/ coffee. And it's quick.

Rose chai rose

Lining up to order can take a good 15-20 minutes during peak hours. First I tried their rose chai, lightly spiced and full of flavor. The second time here I ordered the matcha latte and a ham & cheese croissant. The matcha tasted milky and subtle, while the croissant was okay with cream cheese used. I've heard good things about their breakfast burritos. Their service is overall pretty efficient as the folks behind the counter are in full view hustling making and heating orders. Mahjong has been popping up in many locations across SoCal, and it just so happens to be here at this Long Beach café. The events are being held here Sunday mornings about once a month. As usual, TAs are on hand to teach beginners, while more seasoned players are left on their own. This coincides with their Sunday morning jazz played inside the building as well as local artisans selling their crafts outside.

Awesome spot for WiFi and great coffee.... Had to kill some time in Long Beach while my dog got groomed, so I yelped coffee shop options with WiFi and landed here. Shop is spacious and super cute, while not being too loud to get work done. Barista was super welcoming, and I ordered the seasonal tiramisu latte. Espresso quality is great, latte itself wasn't too sweet, so overall a great experience and will be back the next time my pup has to get groomed and need a place to work.

Tiramisu latte & matcha yuzu

There's only one word to describe this coffee shop - WhatAVibe! Came here on early on a Saturday morning for a car meet and tell me why the most memorable thing from the event was the bacon breakfast burrito? You do have to wait maybe 5-10 minutes as it's made to order. The piping hot fresh home potatoes with the melted cheese, paired with their sauce- it's incredible and it's addicting. The tiramisu latte was pretty good! A little sweet for my taste but a nice sweet treat nonetheless. The yuzu earl grey matcha bevvy was a little too sour for my liking but my girlfriend really enjoyed it. I really liked how the store was set up as well, all the music and decorations pair nicely and made me want to buy all their products lol. They have cool sweaters, tote bags, socks, even frisbees, whatever your heart desires, Good Time delivers.

Breakfast burrito with avocado, breakfast burrito with chorizo
Alique K.

This was one of the best breakfast burritos we've had ever!!! They are HUGE and sooo filling with a great egg to potato ratio. The chorizo is so juicy and has a delicious spice to it. Get it with avocado instead if you like a lighter flavor. Both the matcha latte and cold brew were delish! Definitely come to study or socialize here

Small Iced Latte (~$6) with Lavender ($1)

Ordered: Small Iced Latte (~$6) with Lavender ($1) Aya's take: Coffee & plants? It's bound to be a Good Time (pun intended)! We arrived around 10:30am on a Sunday morning and to no one's surprise lol, they were busy. Upon entering, I noticed the bright space, the nice decor, and the beautiful plants. I got a Small Iced Latte with Lavender which was truly expertly made. It was silky smooth, the lavender was actually palpable in every sip, and I got the caffeine boost I was looking for. The breakfast burrito looked delicious and you can see them in the back freshly making each order. I would definitely try it next time I'm back in town. Love this spot!

Parking is very very small and limited be very lucky to find a spot. Inside is spacious everyone comes to study or catch up. They do offer free wifi as well. They have a decent menu of coffee and matcha and breakfast food. I got a honey matcha id rate 7/10 it was okay and a coffee it forgot what its called but it was good. The breakfast sandwich also came with some pretty tasty sourdough bread. They do host trivia nights and small shops etc throughout the month id love to come back and check it out. Overall nice place just parking is awful

iced matcha latte sweetened with vanilla = $6.00

This place is definitely a good time. It's a one stop shop. Booze, coffee, plants - this place has everything. I like the idea of picking up gifts while I get a coffee. I ordered an iced matcha latte ($6.00). Twas good, however, I should have asked a classic syrup - the vanilla sweetener was a bit too strong for my liking. The iced Americano was also good. We also shared the jalapeño and cheese croissant. This was delish. The croissant was flakey and unexpectedly had cubes of cream cheese nestled in the folds. I'll be back to try their other breakfast items. Good Time is vibe-y and I'm here for it.

Matcha with honey

This place it great! Drinks, food, ambiance, location and awesome business name will all bring me back. Fantastic service and drinks cone out quickly, with food at a reasonable speed considering there always seems to be a lot of orders in the queue. Visit #1 was memorable. Latte and breakfast burrito, but added extra egg which is highly recommended. Visit #2 I went with Matcha latte and burrito, but forgot to add extra egg and although flavorful, it was mostly potatoes. I enjoy the vibe here. Walk up to order, lots of tables inside but unfortunately they are all full with people working. Guess ya gotta get there early. There are a handful+ of tables outside that often get groups gathering and hanging out. Super chill place with quality food and service. They also have a points system which I missed signing up for my first time. Can't beat a good freebie from time to time. Parking is limited to street/neighborhood as far as I can tell. Luckily I've found a space rather quickly each time.

I'm always late for the party! This place is so close to my car wash I go to weekly and today was the first time I've ever been! Parking is a challenge! Once I found a spot to park I took a short stroll to Good Time and omg it's so cute! The merch was super cute and you can even buy some plants! I ordered an oat milk hazelnut latte and a bacon breakfast burrito. The latte was delicious and so smooth. Not too sweet which I like. The burrito I was honestly not expecting much. I took it home expecting an average coffee joint burrito. Wow was I wrong! This has flavor, packed with nice seasoned potatoes and nice pieces of bacon. I honestly did stress order since I didn't see a menu till I got to the counter but I made a good call haha. I gotta go back for a mini tote now lol

Pumpkin Champurrado Lattte
Tina L.

Quick and friendly service. They even have Halloween decorations as you're walking to the restroom which was super cool. Hanging plants for the rest of the cafe and honestly just friendly casual vibes. I tried the Pumpkin Champurrado Latte with almond milk. Super smooth and creamy with strong balance of pumpkin spice and espresso. I really liked this and it has to be one of the best PSLs I've had. Although parking may be difficult, it's worth a visit for a casual catch up or a study session. The A/C is on, music blasting in the background, and nice light fixtures hanging from the ceiling.

Blueberry muffin

Great coffee, pastries, decor, music, and community support. Lots of space to sit! Lots of plants and local gifts for sale. Drinks: Pumpkin champurrado and regular champurrado iced lattes are FIRE. My boyfriend and I crave them. Pastries: jalapeño cheese croissant tastes like a jalapeño popper, so good. Blueberry muffin was amazing. Seating: lots of seating and music isn't too loud, always good calming music on. Would be good for studying or work. Community support: on the right side of history. That's all I will say. Service: quick and big smiles from their staff. Everyone there really looks like they're having a good time. Merch: super cute shirts, coffee mugs, travel cups, pint glasses! Tons of items from other small businesses for sale that would make good gifts like planners, journals, decor, plants

Yes! From Spirit Tea called Then and Now

Do they have decaf coffee or espresso options?

I went sometime last year and they did NOT have any decaf. Shame because I only do decaf and the food/vibe was good, but since I can't have decaf coffee there, I haven't gone… Read more

Tons of board games, books and wonderfully mellow music helps make the experience feel comforting and inviting. Our drinks were prepared quickly and shouted at the coffee bar for pickup. The presentation was great, but the flavors, out of this world! The Cinnamon Dulce Latte was OUTSTANDING. So good, in fact, that my girlfriend stole it from me! Not to worry, her Blueberry Lavender Latte was also top-notch, with a smooth, not-to-sweet flavor combination. Very rich and flavorful. I kept looking at photos of their take on chicken and waffles and knew I had to try it. Seriously epic and was good as it looked. They coated the chicken in a chili rub that gave it a sweet and spicy flavor when paired with their maple syrup. Served on top of a waffle and topped with an egg. I loved it and would probably order again on my next visit. My wife had the American plate which was your classic eggs, bacon, potatoes, and sourdough toast combo. High quality ingredients elevated it beyond your typical diner food. Drinks were great too. I had their house made bloody mary which had a nice kick to it. My wife had their brunch version of a Corpse Reviver cocktail. After our meals were done we finished with an Irish coffee since everyone was ordering them. With that being said, the question becomes why write a review for a place that not only has street clout but also is a darling for foodies? First, any place or person cannot rely on their august reputation to coast to their golden years, especially in a glut like LA's dining scene. An eatery must always maintain itself with current times and update its eats and design/vibe to remain competitive lest their sheen and luster fade. And thus, I add to the rose petals thrown at this place's feet but also challenge their aesthetic because I found it a bit disjointed--- like a ruby red rose whose stem is made out bark and twig. I had only heard good things about this place and decided to try it with my friend Alexa. She and I had agreed to meet there at 11:00 but I know enough about brunch experiences at celebrated places to go there early or else we might endure a wait that kills a good time. Yes, I would wait for the both us to avoid this possible pitfall. I waited 45 minutes in the line to order. By the time I got close to the register, Alexa arrived. We decided to split the chicken and waffles and also the skillet. She wanted to find a table, but I explained to her that there was a sign I saw as I waited that explained that patrons should not to find their own tables, staff will help them find one. We also got the smashed potatoes and each of us got a coffee. When I was there, waiting, I enjoyed seeing the emblems in red. For instance, I clipped the red door that I passed to get into the joint. It was the threshold that moved me from a line waiter to near customer. And thus this shade of red becomes that much more precious. The rose red was more pronounced and literal in some of the exterior walls of the joint. I clipped a rose silhouette that was precious, and kind of defining of the motif of the place. But it also had mentions of the movie of its a wonderful life. For example, before I got to the cashier I saw the phrase, "every time a bell rings an angel gets its wings." In back of me there were several photos from the film. Now, I have never seen the flick so perhaps roses are predominant in the movie. One of the staff members said that Zuzu was the dog in the film. To make it abundantly clear, I am not sure how red roses connect to a Yuletide favorite. Perhaps the answer lies in the film. But for me on this day, the two primary anchors of design were in competition and not not in cohesion. Perhaps, if the red roses were winter blue the connecting tissue would be easier to understand. The food was strong and easy to enjoy. What surprised me is that I expected to enjoy the waffle and chicken plate more than than skillet but I enjoyed the latter more. The skillet had those fluffy eggs that are made with milk or cream or bliss from a bovine. Now true, there is not much complexity in the dish, but the dish was something basic done extremely well, which is a prize to the patrons. I guess atop of all I could write would be that the skillet had familiar flavors- like cheese, and sausage, and garnish- but elevated to delicious comfort. The waffle and chicken plate was made scrumptious by the maple butter. By the time I got to the chicken and waffle the chicken had lost its fried crisp. The flavor of the batter was there 1000% but without the fried taste the chicken suffered. It was my fault. I did not wait for my food, my food waited for me and in that span of time it had lost its umph! like many do when they wait too long for someone they anticipate. The mashed potatoes were also an excellent bite. Again, familiar, not innovative, but a strong showing of a classic. I particularly loved the well balanced execution of fluff inside and the crisp of the potatoe outside. The smash in this plate was a solid yum. Alexa and I sat outside, right next to the patio, and enjoyed all of the dishes to a good extent. This place definetely offers great classics, with some modern touches. It is an easy answer to where should we go to brunch on a lazy Sunday when you have time to spare.

Bristy, our server, thoroughly explained the details of certain dishes such as the Mac & Cheetos. She also checked in on our table throughout the meal and came around often to refill our water. As for the food itself, it was very delicious. My favorite dish was the artichokes. They had a somewhat smoky flavor and the outermost leaves were crunchy and a nice contrast to the soft inside of the artichokes. They were also served in a tangy sauce that complimented the vegetable well. My friend's favorite item was the macaroni and cheese. It was chewy and creamy, and the pasta, which Bristy informed us was made in-house, was what my friend thought elevated the dish because it was a nice texture. We additionally ordered the gumbo which was also tasty but not as yummy as the other two dishes that we ordered. It is not a spicy dish if one is concerned about spice level. As for the ambiance of the restaurant, we enjoyed how the atmosphere felt casual and almost like you were sitting in somebody's house (the wallpaper and interior design is pretty) while still maintaining an elegant aesthetic design. If I was in the area, I would return to The Attic for dinner. My friend and I had a very welcoming and positive experience in terms of the service and food respectively at this establishment.

There is inside seating what looks like a converted house? There is outside seating at tables or at the bar. The menu was interesting which had a theme of shrimp; there was eggs Benedict with shrimp, but not an item to order a regular one without it? Sure maybe could have ordered and asked without shrimp but pay the same price? Pass. Ok when I called they mentioned they serve brunch until 3? 3:30 I can't remember. The server mentioned they serve the brunch all day? Either way when I got to ordering this month on the menu it highlighted the shrimp po boy. I tried to order and nope, out. How can you be out of the item highlighted as the special in the middle of the day? When the place is not packed? I tried to order the lobster roll and again, out. I was tempted to order their short rib poutine since in theory it sounded good, but at this point I tried something simple I would hope they have in the kitchen chicken and waffles. The plate came and it looks good. If you look at the picture at the bottom of the chicken you can see a dark something. As I lift my chicken I found a huge burnt piece of breading pictured next. On top of the chicken is green onion I think? Who eats that with chicken and waffles? If I am wrong, a garnish is totally unnecessary for this dish. The chicken was moist. There are spices in the flour breading I can see but hard to taste what it is. The waffle is a hard pass for me. The waffle was crispy which is good, but also thin and dry and I couldn't taste any sweetness until I put maple syrup on it. The syrup came out warm which was nice. It's clear watching the people at the bar this is a local hangout. The chicken and waffles were $19 which if I was in the bay I think it's about right, but I think a little high considering the level of food I got. Supposedly this place is packed specifically on Sundays. The server doesn't know why? I'm not interested to even try to come back for a second chance and just be told sold out of the menu.
