To die for! You know I never had a fav drink growing up. Well this place said here you go ur fav go to drink and I'm not mad about it. I always get the hojicha latte pistachio with grass jelly at less sweetness and its chefs kiss. I kid you not I've had this 2-3 times in a month which for me is a lot. Im not too much of a matcha girl but hojicha which is a roasted matcha..say less. This was my first time trying this chain out and they hooked me on. A bit disappointing that some branches have this drink and some don't which kinda leads to some confusion...idk why some locations have different menus if it's the same chain but ok. Super authentic and a nice study vibe going on. Pricey tho can't lie but I love it so much id come back 1000x times.

It was in the plaza across from VA Long Beach. Very clean and chic spot. I didn't even get a pic of the coffees before we tried them. If you love good Vietnamese coffee, this place is for you! The coffees were delicious! Just the right amount of sweetness for an Asian. Strong, fresh coffee taste. I can definitely taste the banana in the banana coffee but not overpowering the coffee. I definitely agree with the other reviews that the coffee here is better than the other spots. Would definitely recommend!

My coworker recommended this place and orders through door dash each time, and each time hitts esp when we need a good pick up during work. We all got different drink orders but didn't get to take pics of all. High peach tea sweetness at 125% Mildly fruity, even at 125 sweetness it's not aggressively sweet. This would be the perfect sweet drink if not getting coffee. Tea is tasty. Iced white with 75% sweetness It's sweet and good, it's just like drinking milk with coffee. Berry coffee, strawberry foam sweetness 75% Fruity, sweet creamy, and strong Banana matcha, 50% sweetness whole milk Banana matcha 75% with oat milk Very banana forward with nice creamy finish. Very earthy, good quality matcha flavor, very tasty.

They use banana milk as the base which makes it very flavorful. I frequent this place at least once a week. They also have a few bakery items, but if you're hungry this would not be a spot to fill up on. The workers are always so nice and working hard. I see people in here both hanging out and studying or working, it's a nice place to spend time if you want to be outside ... lots of college students since it's right next to the CSULB campus. Definitely recommend coming here!
Such a cute cafe in Long Beach! Only 20 minutes away from the Queen Mary, and we decided to make a quick stop by. Ordered the Ube Matcha and the Caramel Tiramisu, total came to $14. The Ube Matcha was delightful and exceeded my expectations. The interior of the cafe is cute with plenty of seating, and they close at 8pm which was convenient because it is difficult to find cafes open late. :)
I usually go to the one in garden groove and happened to run into this location this time. I love their coffee ever since my first sip. A Must stop whenever I'm in town. The shop is very clean and cute with their decors. Coffees are always good, nice and strong phin base, never a miss. My stable go to are corn cream, ube, egg coffee.
Ordered via DoorDash , Vietnamese iced coffee and pistachio espresso. Vietnamese coffee had no condensed milk as stated in the description that it was supposed to. Pistachio espresso was alright. The non tempered labels that were placed on them were incorrect, the drinks spilled in the backs they were placed in. If no condensed milk is put in, should update description.
First time here and I really like it! Lots of tables and seating inside for chilling or studying:)) I tried the raspberry matcha cuz I rarely see it, but sadly it tastes really syrupy. I like the matcha tho- it's pretty rich, but the raspberry flavor kind of overtakes it. Service is rly nice :))
Coffee is good and strong here but expect the cup to be filled with half ice. I love me a strong strong coffee, but the drinks are way too expensive when you account for how much liquid you're actually receiving. I likely will not be back
Hands down, the best Banana Matcha in Long Beach. If I could come here every day for it, I would! It's also a nice spot to stay cool and get some work done.
I've heard my friends talk about Trung Nguyen in Dallas so I was excited when I saw there was one in Long Beach! The staff were friendly & the inside is cute & spacious! If I lived closer, I'd def come study/work from here- they had so many spacious tables and outlets under each bench! I grabbed the banana milk matcha ($7) & I enjoyed the creaminess of it!
Revisited this location and am honestly impressed by their improvements. Ice levels are good, service is quick, and professional. Great place to hang around and study. Variety of matcha and hojicha drinks are also amazing!

I really liked this cafe! I've tried several of their drinks and I love it! Not milky, I like their Phin drip a lot and some of the flavors are unique. There is adequate space to study however close to the VA and CSULB so sometimes it can get busy read more
So happy I finally got to try this place out. Free large parking lot, lots of seating inside, one of my favorite coffee shops decor wise! Service was wonderful, everyone was kind, quick and helpful. Vanilla Marble Espresso was incredible. Easily top 5 coffee in LB. Will happily be coming back. read more

We have been here a few times and their drinks never disappoint! My favorite is the Black Sesame espresso. The Banana Cream drip is also really yummy. My kids have also had their matcha and say it is so tasty. Price point is good at $6.75 for a regular size and so much better than THAT chain. It's near CSULB and staffed with young adults who get the drinks out quickly. The décor is so cute. Parking is sometimes difficult, but worth it. read more
The café has a beautiful, calming aesthetic that makes it a great place to relax. I ordered the banana matcha latte, and it was the perfect blend--smooth, not overly strong, but with just the right amount of caffeine for me. I'm definitely curious to come back and try their Vietnamese coffee. The best coffee near the VA Hospital and CSULB. Strong and sweet the best of both worlds. There was a long line but it went by fast and the cashier was friendly. The coffee came out fast despite the long line. I got the coconut coffee and my hubby got the peanut butter coffee. Both delicious. Can't wait to go back and enjoy another drink. The store was vibrant with lots of folks in there studying. Parking was ok too. Not hard to find a spot. read more

This coffee cafe is located in a Target shopping plaza. Their menu has quite a few unique espresso drinks. A lot of matcha latte options if you like those. I ordered a Vanilla Marble Espresso. There is a fair amount of seating inside, which, as others point out, is often completely taken by students. Such was the case when I visited. So I took my drink outside to one of several outdoor tables (wasn't sure if they were meant for customers of this place or Afters next door). This iced drink was quite good. The espresso was intense and bold with the vanilla cream providing an equally bold sweet and creamy flavor. The contrasting tastes melded well together. As the saying goes, I sound like a broken record when reviewing most iced coffee drinks, including this one - "too much ice". read more
Today was BOGO at this location! Got the salted caramel... whewwww! It's strong. Once you shake it up, taste delicious! Salty and bitter sweet. Location is close to pch. Off 7th, close to CSULB. I was craving a banana Matcha, so I did a quick search (of course in yelp) for the "best Matcha near me in Long Beach", and Trung Nguyen E-coffee was my choice! Cute, very clean cafe in the Target shopping plaza across from the Veterans Building. Now, be prepared because some of their Matcha lattes, only come cold because of the way that they create the cold foam. I asked for a hot Matcha banana latte, and the staff was more than happy to accommodate me by making a couple adjustments. We went with oat milk and added banana syrup. Yum Yum. The Matcha was perfect. Had a nice earthy balance and not gritty at all 10 out of 10! I'll will be back. thank you. read more

Trung Nguyen is muy bien when it comes to the coffee of Phin. If you haven't tried this shop before then it's a sin. It's definitely legit and if you want to get lit this place is a hit. I ordered their Cappuccino to start with and it delivered with flavor and potency. Next was their Cream Corn which was also a potent and flavorful drink. The last drink we had was their Egg Coffee and this put us through the roof. Man, we were flying high after finishing all the drinks. The shop is cute and service is decent. Plenty of seats if you can grab them because this place is pretty popular. The line moves quickly and that's my take, Peace out. read more
This is my first time at Trung Nguyen E Coffee. From what i understand, it is an original brand from Vietnam. Their coffee is brewed from high-quality beans from the Buon Ma Thuot Province in Vietnam. They use a balance of Robusta and Arabica beans which gives their coffee a bold and rich flavor. They aim to give coffee lovers around the world an authentic Vietnamese coffee experience. The inside of the coffee shop is clean, modern and spacious. This location is the one off of 7th st and bellflower in Long Beach. In the newly renovated plaza where Target is. It is Across the street from the VA hospital and Cal State Long Beach. There is plenty of parking out front. They have free wifi and a place where to plug your laptop. Making it highly suitable for doing work. It is always packed with students. The menu is really unique with Specialty Drinks like Pistachio Espresso (which i had), Hazelnut Coffee, and traditional Vietnamese Egg Coffee. They serve both traditional Vietnamese phin drip coffee and modern espresso-based drinks. (See full menu attached in pictures) The pistachio espresso is served cold. It had a strong, rich and bold taste but not bitter, the pistachio cream added the perfect balance of sweet but still not too sweet. It was really interesting and very good. The service was friendly and prices are average. I had a really good first time experience. So, I highly recommend trying them out. read more
The coffee here is great, and strong. The place was clean and had lots of options for seating. We ordered the egg coffee and a black sesame espresso. I also ordered a guava cheese danish. Everything was delicious, the coffee was sweet and the black sesame wasn't overpowering. The egg coffee is always my favorite to try anywhere so I was happy to see it on the menu. Trung Nguyen really impressed me. The coffee had a rich, bold flavor with a nice depth that kept revealing more with each sip. My hazelnut coffee was smooth, slightly chocolatey, and not bitter at all. You can tell they take care in how they brew it, and the balance was spot on. It felt strong without being overwhelming, which isn't easy to pull off. The overall ambiance made the experience even better: relaxed, welcoming, and a great place to slow down and actually enjoy your drink. There were lots of people on their laptops inside so it's a great place to get some work done. If you're someone who appreciates well-made coffee with character and depth, this spot is definitely worth checking out. I'll be coming back when I am back in town! read more

Trung Nguyen E-Coffee was totally excellent! Came here on a Friday afternoon and there was a decent amount of seating. I ordered from the extensive menu and the service was quick. The black sesame espresso was a perfect balance of sweet but still strong. The raspberry matcha was also sweet with subtle matcha taste. Both drinks were amazing and it seems like a perfect study spot right by CSULB. Would recommend! read more
Since I heard this coffee shop was opening, I have been interested in trying it. Finally finding myself in the shopping center, I popped on in. They have an interesting menu. A bit different than I expected, but many items that caught my attention. I narrowed my choice this 1st visit to 2 possibilities, then asked the employee for their opinion. Double matcha it was!! Overall, it was pretty good. The best part for me was it was not sweet. I could actually taste the matcha. Comparing to another double matcha I had recently, this one didn't stack up. However, it was still enjoyable. Place is cute with many people remote working. Service was fast and friendly. As mentioned earlier, the menu has a variety of unique beverages of which I'm interested in exploring more of. There are also some food options as well. read more
My boyfriend and I came to try this place out after seeing some videos of it online! The inside was clean and had a contemporary modern vibe! The staff were kind and they have a somewhat extensive menu of various drinks for coffee and matcha. Also just FYI asking for less ice means less drink! The drinks were pretty delicious and a bit on the stronger side for the matcha and coffee, but I still enjoyed it since I love Vietnamese coffee! If you like things a but sweeter just keep that in mind! It's very close to Cal State Long Beach and theres a variety of places to eat from and a small Target in the plaza! read more

We have oat, almond, and soy milk which are non-dairy. However, all our creams are dairy. I hope that helps!
