The man behind the counter (owner maybe?) was very friendly and offered suggestions of customer favorites on my first visit. I decided to try the cocoa honey cake, which looked amazing. I've never had this style of cake before so maybe I didn't know what to expect but it was quite dry. I think if I had ordered a tea to go with it I would have enjoyed it more, as the warm liquid would have balanced out the dryness of the cake, so perhaps that was my mistake. The coffee menu has a good variety of latte options. The matcha menu is more limited, and they also offer a small variety of hot tea. While tasty, the blueberry honey roll was a bit too sweet to my liking. Loved the savory potato and mushroom pastry bites. I also ordered the sand coffee which was exciting and different however, the coffee grounds were not completely melted so I was left with a thick coffee paste-like texture at the bottom of my cup. Coffee flavor was delightful though up till the last sips which were not as delightful. Overall, I'd rate my order a 3.5/5. SO HAPPY an Armenian bakery has opened up in Long Beach. This is a true rare gem of a place at the end of 2nd street! I should've taken photos of the food but I've tried the honey cakes, honey nuggets, napoleons, coffee cake, and celebration cake. All are so good and perfectly moist and rich without being too sweet! Amazing unique flavors. My favorites are the classic, cocoa, and apricot for the honey cakes and honey nuggets. The napoleons are like a flakey croissant with powdered sugar. I love the classic because that's what I'm used to having from Armenian places, but the cocoa was a nice surprise. I brought the honey nuggets to a bbq and they were a hit. I personally LOVE the apricot because it is a unique Middle Eastern exotic flavor, but chocolate is always good and was the favorite at the bbq.
