Went in on an afternoon. The staff was amazing and helpful and cheerful. The place was clean. The ice cream was delicious. I got coconut and a cake flavor. I would have given the place 5 stars but there was a dog in there and I don't agree with dogs being inside places that serve food for sanitary purposes.
I LOVE this place. They're such a good vibe, super welcoming, and have the best ice cream ever. The staff is all super nice and helpful. You can get samples of literally everything, but I learned the more I sample the more indecisive I get HAHA
Unlimited samples, friendly and patient service, and in house made ice cream flavors yes please! I forget how great the handmade in house flavors they have such as the chocolate sorbet and coffee with cashew and fennel seed (I think). Location is near the promenade and they also sell pints if interested.
To be clear, this 5-star rating is for the ice cream. Long Beach Creamery has some of the best flavors in Long Beach, and I genuinely love coming here. My issue is with the customer service. Yesterday, I asked for a pint of chocolate sorbet and was told, "You're not gonna have me scoop a pint of chocolate sorbet, are you?" I was then asked to choose another flavor because it was "hard to scoop." I ended up choosing something else. Today, I ordered the same flavor in a kids' cup and was given one spoonful, with the staff saying that was all they could do--even though the container was completely full. The lack of effort and professionalism was honestly disappointing. I did want to mention that there was one male staff member working tonight who was very kind and professional. I didn't catch his name, but this review is absolutely not directed toward him. The ice cream is great. Unfortunately, the customer service I experienced really dampened what should have been a simple, enjoyable visit.
I love a good Organic ice cream spot! I wish there was one in OC You can get samples of all the flavors before choosing, which is great! The service is friendly and they answered all my questions. The only thing is that the tables a not clean/sticky and one trash was in the way in the middle of the walking area and another one was overflowing.
Ice cream and all those sweet confections are such a treat for after any meal. Walking distance from the restaurant after we had brunch. Fun welcoming people and interiors. Many unique flavors are available, the owners even have a flavors book in bc ass you want that information. Fun merchandise. Pints to go available for about $14 each. I really enjoyed the split cup I got especially the cashew fennel crunch.
As first timers visiting here after a painful tattoo session, we were incredibly impressed with our experience here. Tyler was incredibly knowledgeable about each of the unique made-in-house flavors and his passion for the business model was infectious. Despite my allegiance to frozen yogurt primarily because of the option for toppings, the rich and silky smooth flavors of the oolong, Thai tea, and the Crispy Mallow were HEAVENLY. I ended up with the crispy mallow - a new seasonal favorite - while my partner ended up with the oolong. The crispy mallow was so delicious, with the little bits of rice krispy adding that touch of texture and change of flavor that paired so well with the smooth ice cream flavor.

I was surprised that it wasn't too busy but maybe it's cuz it was a bit of a chillies day. The girls that worked there didn't seem very happy but they helped us taste flavors and gave samples. I got a kid's split scoop with coffee and chocolate. My friend got Thai tea and chocolate. Super yummy! I was a little disappointed that they don't do butter cake crumble as a topping anymore. They only sell slices of the cake now. The art and menu in this place are so cute! It helps warm up the industrial vibe of the shop. Looking forward to being back when I'm in the area.
This cute ice cream shop is in downtown Long Beach and a short walk from the Aquarium. There's lots of art on the walls that make it welcoming along with the friendly staff. Friends who are local to the area suggested coming and it was delightful. There was a seasonal key lime that's a collab with a local bakery that was super refreshing. The signature saltine would be in my go to if I lived nearby. The surprising scoop that I got was the fennel that was at the suggestion of one of my friends. It didn't taste licorice like and was so good that I would up getting it as my third of a mini scoop trio. I'd love to go back and make sure I have a freezer bag to buy pints next time!
Walked in on a Saturday night around 10pm. There was a line but not too long, street parking is difficult to find- I did drive around twice since I didn't want to park in the public parking. Very friendly staff and cute paintings. We ordered banana royal cone and burnt caramel. They have unique flavors and give samples as well. The banana royal was creamy, banana flavor with nuts and pieces of waffle cone. Not overly sweet, very good! Burnt caramel was creamy as well and great caramel flavor. We will be returning to try more flavors soon!
I'm not the biggest ice cream fan but every now and again I have a craving and this spot definitely helps me meet those cravings. They have some interesting and obscure flavors but they're not nonsensical or pretentious like you'd find at a spot like Salt & Straw. I most recently had two seasonal flavors: Amarula Guava and and Banana Bread Chai. They were both delicious and we even took a pint of the latter home. This spot is super cute and fits in well in its downtown location. I appreciate that there's posters and other advertisements for local events. Lastly, I've always had friendly service here. Employees are super helpful and aren't hesitant to let you sample product.
Came here after dinner for something sweet. It was easy to find, parking was easy to find as we parked on the street. I'm not local so when I go back to my car, I got a parking citation! I did not see any sign regarding paying for parking! Anyways such a cute place! The names of the ice cream flavors are so cute & unique. The guy helping us was so helpful. We sampled flavors & he explained what's in it. I sampled the seasonal pumpkin & I really liked it as it was very pumpkin forward, but my man ended up getting that. I really liked the oolong I sampled, so I got that. The prices are reasonable, nothing pricey like some places. There were a few seats & tables inside. Asked on the pictures, looks like they have outdoor seating too but it was dark out so they probably cleared that out. I would definitely come back to try their other flavors if I'm ever in the area.

I was surprised it was salty and sweet . The only downside was I only got one scoop should have gotten two. The guy who rang me up was upbeat friendly wish I got his name. Definitely coming back
Small little shop located on Broadway and Pine. They're always rotating their flavors so it's fun to try all the new ones on top of getting your favorites. They also have vegan ice cream! They do have dairy but also soy based ones so just go in and ask the friendly staff! Go get your sweet tooth fix! They can also make to-go containers! read more
I've never had this ice cream before but it's so good! The taste is creamy and fresh perfect soft treat. LBC has some of the best places to stop by we came during beach streets 2026 summer the day of the final World Cup game. Service was 100, super friendly and unlimited samples. Ambiance was not busy at all we got in and out on a Sunday afternoon. read more

Long Beach Creamery is a great stop if you like ice cream flavors that are a little unexpected in the best way. The menu had combinations I would not normally pick, yet somehow they all sounded tempting. The scoop I tried was rich, creamy, and full of personality, not just sweet for the sake of being sweet. It's the kind of place that makes you rethink your usual order and feel proud of taking a flavor risk. Definitely a fun spot for anyone who likes their dessert with a little creativity mixed in. read more

Love the saltine dreams flavor! I came here on a Saturday night and we got offered samples right away! They had a few seasonal flavors and signature flavors that were unique so we got the goat cheese cherry and the saltine dreams! I loved the crunch of the thin waffle cone! The goat cheese cherry didn't have any cheesy flavor, and the saltine dreams had a nice vanilla/chocolate salty crunch! It's a casual ice cream spot with just three tables, but we were able to sit and enjoy our scoops! read more
I visited this ice cream shop on a weekday afternoon. I couldn't find street parking so ended up paying to park in an overpriced nearby structure. There were several outdoor tables on the sidewalk, a couple more inside, and some high tables where you could stand and eat your ice cream. I picked two scoops of ice cream in a cup: Burnt Caramel and Black Ring Coffee. The fellow scooping told me those were his two favorite flavors. I sat inside to enjoy my ice cream. The Burnt Caramel had a deep caramel flavor which I really enjoyed. Black Ring Coffee's flavor was much too light for my taste. The coffee flavor was there but rather weak. This is a good spot for ice cream if you live or work in downtown Long Beach or are looking for dessert after dining somewhere nearby. read more

Very fun flavors!! I really enjoyed their creative flavors and the staff was kind in allowing us to sample many flavors. Not the best place to sit and enjoy your ice cream without being disturbed by people coming in from the streets requesting money, but that is not the fault of the business - everything else was perfect! I will definitely be back :) read more

I've been coming to this Long Beach Creamery since I moved to Long Beach 3 years ago and I've been a big fan since day 1. Their core selection of ice creams are creative and delicious. None of them are overly sweet and the flavors are unique. In the same way, their seasonal/rotating flavors are inventive. It's always fun to go and try all the different flavors and see how you can pair different flavors on one cone or go with friends and taste a bunch of the different flavors. The staff has always been exceptionally kind when I walk in, they explain all of the flavors, and are patient when it comes to letting my try flavors and when it takes me an eternity to make up my mind. The ice cream shop is a safe and welcoming place. They have high tops for you to stand around or tables for you to sit at as you enjoy your ice cream. I always opt to stay because it's a nice spot to read since it's usually calm. I highly recommend this ice cream shop to any ice cream lover and to anyone looking for fun and unique desserts. read more

Long Beach Creamery, located in downtown long beach, is a local favorite for ice cream. They use high quality organic ingredients and the ice cream is made in house. I typically go for their simpler flavors like burnt caramel, black ring coffee, and whiskey vanilla, but I went with their honeycomb ice cream on this occasion. They put honeycomb candy in their whiskey vanilla ice cream and it's a nice scoop! Support local and support small business! I think this is a great location for ice cream. Their original location is just down the street in Bixby Knolls. I also got their vanilla buttercake. There is a nice crispy crust and the inside is a little chewy and soft. It kind of reminds me a little of a blondie bar. While the buttercake is good, I'd most recommend stopping by for ice cream if you're in the area. read more

If you want good ass ice cream with interesting delicious flavors come here! Midnight Oolong -- no hints of tea just a tasty plain chocolatey flavor. Super plain but very smooth Saltine Dream -- if you love salty & sweet this is for you! Can't go wrong with this flavor. Flavors perfectly balanced Rotating Flavors (change every month): Love Potion #9 -- for all the strawberry lovers out there, this is for you. Balances out well with the chocolate flavors. Tasted like real fresh strawberries and no artificial tastes here Cabernet Brownie -- phenomenal! It's fudgy and balances out really well with the Cabernet. The notes of wine were very subtle Service-- super quick & extremely helpful. They let you try all the flavors you want and explain what's good and works well together. Indoor & outdoor seats to enjoy your tasty treat Parking -- plenty of lots nearby that are free for 2 hours read more

First timer here! I went last Sunday to spend my day off and originally came just for the Horchata... but I ended up falling in love with Banana Chai and Saltine Dream LITERALLY THE BEST FLAVORS I'VE EVER HAD!!! I loved it so much that I came back a week later on my next day off and bought a pint of each This is officially my sweet treat after a long day. This is a good, local ice cream shop with nice flavors and decent tasting ice cream. The ice cream is made in-house with organic ingredients. I came here on a Sunday afternoon after the shop had just opened. I received good, friendly service. I sampled a few flavors before choosing my scoops of ice cream. One scoop cost $6.75 and one scoop with split flavors cost the same as well. So, it was a no-brainer for me to get multiple flavors. I ordered one scoop split flavors of Black Ring Coffee and Cashew Fennel Chip. Both the flavors were good. The Coffee one was my most favorite. The texture of the Cashew one was a bit on the dry side (crumbly for a lack of better word) as opposed to being creamy and smooth. But regardless of that, I enjoyed the two flavors. I chatted a bit with the two staff members that were present during my visit. This shop was a good find as I was looking for dessert options after my brunch. I recommend checking out this shop. Whenever I'll return to Long Beach in the future, I'll try to go back here for more. read more

Stopped in on a hot day looking for a sweet treat and had a super pleasant experience! I ordered a small lemon sorbet, and it was tart but sweet enough to be enjoyable. The space was clean and open, which made us stay and enjoy our treat. I'm giving 3/5 stars because their vegan options were limited to sorbet (aka, this place has zero dairy free ice cream options), which falls short of inclusivity for a creamery. It would have been nice to have at least one oat milk ice cream, given that it's a creamery and tons of folks love (and seek out) dairy alternative ice cream places. I was hoping that i could add Long Beach Creamery to that list, but no dice. read more
