I really like that this place wasn't overcrowded like most places and they had a cute front entrance outside where you could sit and enjoy your coffee with some beautiful plants. When I walked into men were playing chess, which I thought was cool. I ordered a hot vanilla latte. They have three sizes to pick from. I got the small which was a pretty generous size for a little over five dollars. The latte was good and super hot. Bathroom is clean. They do charge a dollar for ice however they were generous enough to provide provided complementary to me today since I made a purchase. I did not even order anything but did not realize what the place was until this parrot came up and climbed up my leg to my ankle. At first I thought the parrot was injured or something because I had never seen a wild parrot come up to a human on their own. The parrot was well behaved and domesticated. The parrot came off and then I noticed the sign to the name of establishment outside and the perch and bird food on the other side of the tree from where I was. Then I walked in to check out the menu and will definitely check out sometime when I actually have my wallet with me and not just on a casual stroll of the neighborhood. Great spot to stop by for coffee on my way to church or while taking a walk in the neighborhood. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. It's rarely crowded, so you can get in and out fast. It's set up more like your grandparents or great aunts home would be, making it feel like visiting the family's elders for coffee. The drinks are always really good and super strong. Discovered this gem of a coffee shop from my TikTok FYP. Nestled by beautiful foliage and filled with eclectic vibes, this is the kind of place you want to keep all to yourself but also need to let the world know how wonderful it is. The owner is such a kind soul, filling his own business with local business cards, brochures, and art to support his community. He shared with me his coffee shop has been here 16 years and while I sat and enjoyed my onion bagel with cream cheese and iced mocha, I saw all the foot traffic stopping by to get a coffee and even just to say hi. The bagel and coffee were both delicious, so I will definitely be back! I love the decor, it offers a homey energy with lots of personal touches from the owner who shared with me that he moves things around a lot so if it looks different when I come again not to be surprised. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, have some table games inside and usually a bird outside (the bird wasn't there today but the owner shared some funny stories with me about them and I'm excited to come back and say hello.) The food: I can only speak to the tuna sandwich, for which I paid $11 and also received a drink and soda. this isn't a stingy or plain sandwich though. You will get all the classic topics like red onion, lettuce tomatoes and pickles. Hell also throw in some pickled vegetables, which are delicious. Everything tasted fresh The parking: can be tricky.
