What quirky and unique coffee shop in every best way possible! This was a second stop on a friend's birthday food crawl we had. I've been here twice and it has not disappointed. Eco Coffee can be easy to miss because of small location, easiest way to find it is remembering it's right after the intersection of E Carson St and N Bellflower Blvd. It's also across the street from the Ruth Bach Public Library. There are two small lots that can get full as it shares it with other businesses. Stepping in there's various decoration from the 101 highway sign in the back, a bookshelf lined with books, also help condiments and napkins, and art pieces on the wall behind the counter. The barista (maybe the owners too) were fantastic, with energy given to every customer that came to the counter (cheering after seeing I was recording haha). There's a couple of tables for seating as well as a couch near the back wall, next to the restroom. The menu was pretty standard, with some specialty drinks and other specials taped to the wall behind the counter. My bf ordered a caramel blended latte with an extra shot of espresso and at the time we went, I order a date smoothie. Both drinks were amazing, the latte was icy and nice and strong, with just the right amount of sweetness. I've never had a date smoothie nor one like this. It's blended with cold brew, oat milk, dates, and some other ingredients I can't remember. But it was creamy, chewy from the little bits of dates that weren't blended, espresso. It's a pretty large smoothie than can definitely be split between people, it's also very filling. Such an awesome gem in Long Beach, and the staff are friendly and super welcoming. So glad I came out to this area specifically to check out this cafe. Parking was not an issue and neither was finding the coffee spot. There's indoor and outdoor seating and the ambiance is casual and chill and a spot you can easily get nice and comfy. Their menu is quite elaborate. There's plenty to choose from and on this day I tried their Mexican Mocha and one of the vegan donuts. Everything hit the spot. I love that this is privately owned and that we got to speak to the owner. He's down to earth and easy to talk to and I especially loved hearing about the coffee beans they use and what his intentions are for the cafe. I would definitely recommend. read more

Came here for some pastries and they were pretty much sold out with only one donut and bagel remaining. Their donuts are plant based & they have a great selection of flavors. I can see how these sold quickly. I was looking for something on the savory side but they didn't have much so I ordered a coffee and got some work done on the patio. The WiFi was able to reach outside with no problems. The shop is facing a main street so it can get pretty loud with cars driving by but honestly it didn't bother me. I ordered an iced horchata latte. It was pretty good. The small latte comes with one shot of espresso, medium comes with two, and large comes with three. My mom was excited to take me here and we went and she was right - it is like hipster, traditional coffee place so dont be expecting anything too complicated. It is a small place but one of those places that you want to sit and enjoy your coffee and read or study or hang out. Big couches & some tables, very cozy. First time visiting... needed an afternoon pick me up. Tiny little shop but lots of drink options, a few food items, and a big comfy chair to lounge in. They even have a shelf with books to enjoy while you sip. The staff were friendly and helpful. The London Fog tea latte sounded good but I opted for something safe this time, a cappuccino, with lo fat milk. Their Coffee is organic but the milk is not. They do have non dairy options, too. The drink was smooth and tasty. (Later, I saw in their cooler that they use the Brand "Silk", which is the only almond milk I like, so I will have to try that in my next latte!) I was not really hungry but intrigued by their vegan donuts, "handmade in Long Beach". I tried the tiramisu one and WOW!! One of the best I have ever had! Small and nondescript but so much flavor! Dense but not heavy, very moist and just mildly sweet, which is the way I like my donuts. Worth the $3.50 price for me. Their bagels are huge, and the egg salad sandwich they advertised sounds divine (next time!) Drink prices are somewhat high but for the quality I would like to support them at least once in a while! They are part of the little group of retail shops and restaurants off of Bellflower and Carson. I was walking, so did not have to deal with parking. read more

Eco Coffee is the neighborhood cafe you've been looking for! Although the interior is small, it beckons you in with the jazzy instrumental music and the eclectic art throughout. It's also very clean and the furniture doesn't have that sticky feel that other coffee places sometimes do. You definitely get the sense that this is a popular hangout, and Peter is familiar with many of the patrons. I ordered the iced horchata latte with oat milk and it's wonderfully smooth and cinnamon-forward (as it should be!). It tends to get busier around 3:30 in the afternoon, but service is easygoing and friendly regardless. Seating on the green chaise sofas is very comfortable and it's a quiet environment for getting work done or some leisure reading. It's coffee that I feel is on the pricier side for a coffee shop, maybe because it's organic? I ordered the Toffee Nut Latte with almond milk and I wasn't a fan of the flavor. The syrup they used was so artificial tasting and odd. I feel like it was supposed to be a caramel like flavor but it was giving hints of the way recycled cardboard smells. It tasted better when it watered down. Also it was such a small serving for almost $8, and it didn't even taste good. 2/5 Overall, coffee was disappointing and just not worth the price unfortunately. Always looking for new and interesting coffee spots, I made a stop here on a Friday morning. I was shocked by how slow it was; it was 8am, what I would consider prime coffee time, and I was the only person there. The dude behind the counter didn't even notice me at first, but that's okay because there's a lot to take in when you go in there for the first time. The overall vibe of the space is definitely curated to be a chill, quirky, and creative space. The ceilings are high, which means there is plenty of space on the walls to fill with interesting artwork. There were several tables and a couple soft spaces, plus a bookshelf and really interesting music which added to the creative and curious aesthetic. The barista was super mellow and sweet too. The coffee is expensive though. I was kind of taken aback by the prices of everything. I know times are tough and everything costs a ton of money, but yikes. Would it be worth it? Was I about to be super disappointed? There was no turning back though. I ordered a medium Mayan mocha, over ice (I know, interesting choice but I love my coffee chilled). And you know what? It was worth it. The drink, despite being pretty small for the price tag, is absolutely delicious. Richly chocolate-y with a healthy dose of cinnamon and a dash of cayenne, this drink is warming despite being cold and a sweet treat without being too insanely sweet. I recommend trying this spot, if not at least once, to just soak up the vibe and caffeinate. Make it special. read more

Really happy about having found an organic coffee house. Discovered Eco Coffee on Yelp several months ago and made an impromptu decision to finally try them today. Ordered a large latte with soy milk. I normally make coffee at home so this was a nice change of pace. Soy, almond and coconut milk are available if you're looking for vegan options. They also offer smoothies so will try their pineapple coconut the next time I'm here. Cozy little place with a decor all its own and outdoor seating available. Location is easy to find. They are at the corner of Bellflower Blvd / Carson St. and you will see a sign which says 'parking' with an arrow pointing to their lot. Asked the barista for a traditional cappuccino, she preceded to make coffee in larger cup, I asked for a small cup. She seemed a little irritated but she did it with a smile. Then she decided to boil my oat milk on the cappuccino. Way to get back at me, cause I couldn't even try the coffee for 10mins until it cooled down. It was basura. I didn't even bother going back just went to the other coffee shop down the street. There was only one person working and they were so nice as they needed to wear many hats during close to closing. I had ordered an iced London fog with almond milk. I appreciated the heads up of the steeping time for the Earl Grey when making a London fog! That's where all the balance of flavor is to make this drink amazing. I was here only 2 weeks ago. I only go when I'm walking my dog with a friend - it's not convenient to parking but pretty accessible to neighborhood folks and walkers. I stopped drinking coffee like 5 years ago but I LOVE MACHA GREEN TEA and THAI CHI TEA!!! Both were excellent this day. The atmosphere is fun and funky and quaint.
