When initially walking in, I just knew I'd like this place (dimly lit, upright pianos in the corners of the room, random student desks in the middle, a selection of books to read, TV with subtitles that you can actually read...). Employees were kind and service was fast. Got an iced BBM (blueberry matcha) while I was here- not that sweet, definitely recommend. Will be back whenever I can.
Best strawberry matcha I've had! It was extremely balanced - no grassy or overly sweet taste.I don't know what took me so long to come here, but I'm so happy I did. The shop itself is very inviting with lots of seating options, a piano (hence the name) and album covers on the walls. When I went there were people ordering to go, while others worked on their laptops or just hung out with friends or family. I will be back to try the coffee options, mainly my go to Vanilla Latte.
My family & I probably visit 88keys about 2-3 times a month. My go to order here is the iced banana latte. It's soo good. Love their banana flavor. Coffee isn't bitter. The taste is always consistent. Their matcha isn't bad either. I tried it before and although I can't remember much - I know it wasn't bad. It's been awhile since I've ordered a matcha latte from here since my go to is the banana drink. My daughter loves chocolate milk & will always order their iced chocolate milk. She says it's one of her fave chocolate milks she's tried. My husband is a hot coffee type of guy so he always gets the Spanish latte. It's one of his fave places to get the Spanish latte. The indoor decor/setup is cute. Some weekends that we've dropped by, there's a vendor outside making burritos. I've seen a couple of pop up tables selling trinkets such as bags, stickers, other knickknacks.

I ordered an Iced Americano and I enjoyed it compared to other Americanos at other places. It felt very smooth to me and the vanilla syrup I added to it created a nice touch of flavor in it.

I got an earl gray iced tea with honey (total $5 and ir was great) it was presented on a spinning record which was unique and on brand! The two gentlemen working the coffee bar were friendly and had a sense of urgency to bring out orders which was great.
Was looking for a close independently owned copy place in the area. I was also looking for somewhere where I could sit and get some work done. This place fits the bill. I ordered this ice Spanish latte and it was really flavorful and not too sweet get some work done with their free Wi-Fi. Staff was friendly helpful and services really fast. It's close to 90° today and there was no air-conditioning inside, but it wasn't too uncomfortable
Came here with my partner and our pups for a new spot to try. Really liked the decor inside quirky, but homey feel to it. I like the bigger community seating style table as well as the living room set up and individual tables as well. Nicley done to accommodate a single person or a group. We ordered a pastry, cortado and a chai latte. Pastry wasn't anything special pretty standard coffee shop pasties, the cortado was pretty good but the Chai left me with a "meh" feeling. Very watered down with how much milk was used. I would have liked to taste more Chai. Other than that not bad and it's nice to see that Lakewood has a few coffee shops out there we can visit. Would we come back.. we have our favorites but if we are in the area sure why not. Beats Starbucks or any big box name.
This coffee shop is a nice hole in the wall type of place great coffee and customer service from Oscar and Lily! They were able to explain their specialty drinks and notes and flavor. They were both On Key with their recommendations and quick service. They have some nights with live music all type and even open Mike night. It is a super welcoming place to be. Coffee was greasy notes and you can taste the quality of grain. The matcha is a nice touch, actual matcha that is not pre-sweetened but with many flavor options. The empanadas are very fresh a savory and cooked to perfection. I will definitely be coming back to this shop just for coffee and great times
To be honest, wasn't impressed on the mango matcha I got there was nothing special about it and it was made in 30 seconds .. where's the love ? Ive had plenty of matchas and this one was not it. I could barely taste the mango and the matcha didn't taste the best. The inside was really cute and well put together Though no complaints there. I'd give it another shot but not getting any matcha from here. It was nice how fast my drink came out but I wish it tasted better that's all.
This shop is located in a plaza right on the corner of the main street next to Carls jr cant miss it so theres enough parking spots. Originally came here for their "mixtape" latte but they discontinued it and so the very helpful gentleman suggested i get the mexican mocha so i did but with a few little tweaks.. Order: Mexican Mocha Substitute almond milk Add hazelnut cold foam Add butter cookie (biscoff) crumbles Came out to $9.50 All lattes come w 2 shots btw so i was delighted this drink was delicious top tier! The inside however was a little muggy and hot. they were about to close and people were still coming in hot so you already know this place is worth it I recommend!
2nd time here and I found my new favorite coffee shop in LB, this is the banana latte(oat milk) with brown sugar cold foam the best coffee I've have stateside . I also tried the cookie butter latter without cold foam which was very good.
For the person who said that the strawberry fields coffee is too strong, try mixing your drink prior to consumption. I was in the area and wanted a pick me up. From my yelp research, the coffee options here sound intriguing. They have a great selection of coffee and teas. The strawberry fields caught my eye. The strawberry is so smooth. Good amount of coffee. A regular asked for something off the menu and I think they made him one! It's a great spot to hang out. They have 2 cool pianos. The bathroom is clean. Lots of outlets if you want to hang out and work or study. They do close early on sundays. But check it out if you are in the area.

Vibey coffee spot with great playlist, great pick of Bob's Burgers on their TV, and really delicious drinks! We came here around 3 PM on a Thursday to get some work done and our afternoon caffeine re-dose. Service was great! I got the cookie butter matcha and I didn't know this was a combination I needed in my life. I think they pair very well together because matcha and cookie butter are kind of nutty in flavor profile. It's perfectly balanced too. I would get this again for sure, that says a lot cause I'm the type that likes to always try something new. They had some donuts and pastries but we didn't try it. I took a sip of the cookie butter latte my girlfriend got and that was delightful too. They have a parking lot for easy free parking. I love the all black and wood interior. They have outlets pretty accessible anywhere you sit. The WiFi was fast enough for me to work fine. There are not too many tables in here but at the time we came, that wasn't an issue. They have a cart of board games and books you can borrow from too. The place feels clean, I saw the worker cleaning the bathroom while we were here. read more

Came here on a Tuesday around 2pm. Small wait to order but friendly service. Parking lot and one bathroom. Seating available. Ordered a iced vanilla latte with oat milk. It was sweet and good. The chocolate muffin was good warm and chocolate filled. All in all for taste to process was worth it. read more

Wow. The ambiance of this place is so chill, and relaxing, definitely a perfect spot to study or catch up with a friend. The seats are so comfortable and the music themed decor is a nice touch. Service was fast and friendly. They accept tap payments which is always a nice convenience. I tried one of their specialty lattes and it did not disappoint. 88Keys coffee located in Lakewood California, is one of the best options nearby. Their menu offers diversity from specialty coffee to the day to day options for your everyday people. Yes they have signature drink as well such as their top sellers: Its Bananas (a banana flavored iced latte!) to their greatly balanced match options. The shop is often full on saturdays as they have pop up small businesses come in. It is very nice regardless of how busy it gets. Parking is AMPLE as its situated in a plaza. I decided to treat my team to some coffee, but I wasn't sure which shop to pick. After exploring a few options in my neighborhood, I remembered 80 Keys Coffee, which I had saved on Yelp. As an elite Yelper for several years, I know a good spot when I see one. I went for the Mixtape, the Chagaccino, and It's banana all ICED. When a coworker mentioned they preferred almond milk over whole milk, I decided to order another drink. However, Omar generously offered me a complimentary drink, and both he and Mickey prepared it with excellent service. Plus, I scored a 10% discount for being a good customer. I'm excited to see how everyone enjoys the drinks when we get to work--great customer service and laid-back music create a fantastic vibe. I do wish they stayed open later, maybe until 10:00 p.m., to keep that good energy flowing for those who want to study or hang out. I'll definitely be back. (Started coming here Nov 2023) 88 Keys Coffee is truly a gem in Lakewood! It's the kind of local mom-and-pop shop you just want to support again and again. One of the things I love most is how they actively highlight other local businesses and even partner with nonprofits that serve the community--it really feels like they care about more than just coffee. The space itself is clean, welcoming, and super comfortable. There's always great music playing, the AC keeps it cool, and the bathroom is consistently spotless (which honestly matters more than people admit). Whether you're meeting up with friends to catch up or need a place to focus, there are plenty of seating options for both socializing and getting work or studying done. Plus, WiFi is available, which is a huge bonus. On weekends, they often host small vendors, which adds such a fun, community-driven vibe. While their food menu isn't huge, they make up for it with special days featuring things like empanadas or burritos. They also usually have baked goods on hand, including gluten-free donuts , which is awesome for those with dietary restrictions. Overall, 88 Keys Coffee is more than just a coffee shop--it's a community hub with a great atmosphere, friendly people, and a mission you can feel good about supporting. Highly recommend. read more

Came in here with my husband Lots of parking Space inside to study and work or catch up with a friend I like how the theme is piano I really wanted the Ube matcha but they were out of Ube So I got the regular matcha And my husband got a hot coffee Both drinks were good! Came here to try a local spot. The service was okay ; the vibes are very indie so I didn't expect like intense happy customer service . If you're looking for a quiet spot to do homework and study definitely come here . I got the banana matcha ; it's was okay couldn't taste the banana but my best friend thought it was amazing . If you're not a fan of really sweet matcha this is your cup of matcha lol read more
Parking lot is a little crowded so be prepared for that. The decor is cute, obviously themed musically. I got an espresso, it tasted like a medium roast. This place is a nice place to stop by to catch up with friends but I wouldn't recommend it as a place to come study/work. read more

This place is a great staple in the community. Friendly and caring owners and employees. They care about their community and uplift other local business. The partner with other non profits to spotlight them. If you have kids, they are family friendly. I've seen the Mom gathering come through a few times. Come for the cofee, stay for the community. We got a Large iced matcha oat latte + sugarfree vanilla syrup and a regular iced matcha mango latte. 3/5 - Large iced matcha oat latte + sugarfree vanilla syrup, this is my usual order wherever I go, and it never does me wrong. But at this spot it tasted off... like too earthy and the sweetness just wasn't for me. 4/5 - Mango matcha - I liked this one more! It was pretty sweet, but not overbearing to take over the matcha. The space is on the smaller side. Interior is super cute for music lovers and creatives. Definitely a spot to go study or get some work done. All the tables and seats were taken when we got there though. Ample parking in front! Service was friendly. Drinks are strong enough, but more on the expensive side especially with the milk substitutions. read more
88Keys Coffee is a calm and cool community-based coffee shop located in Lakewood. This spot is a welcome addition to the community and is located in a plaza with a good amount of parking spots. Inside, they have some cool music themed decor and about 5-6 tables for seating. As for their menu, they have a solid selection of different coffee, matcha, and speciality drinks to choose from. Wifey and I stopped by for our weekend matcha run and opted to try the Horchata Chai and the Banana Matcha. Both drinks had nice flavor profiles and were a great way to start off our day. Overall, we are glad we got the chance to check this spot out. They got some nice tunes playing and a laid back ambiance that is welcoming to all. The staff here are also all very friendly and welcoming. Come check them out and show some support! read more
I'm in this area a lot and when I saw this place a few weeks ago, I made it a point to try and stop by. I orderd the Caffe De Olla Latte with it's unrefined brown sugar, cloves, cinnamon sticks and anise. I loved the generous cinnamon flavor in the latte. Also the art foam design by the barista was on point. The ambiance was very chill, and loved the design arrangement. The staff was friendly and they had fast service. read more
Just wow. Small coffee shop in a strip mall with amazing bold beans which make for a super delish espresso based drink: I got a large (extra points for having size options) pricey for $9 and I hate that they charge for subbing milk (as with any spot) but the perfect drink makes it worth it. I went twice in one day since I was in town for the day. First drink banana latte - perfection. Balance of coffee and banana without any fake taste. 2nd drink before they closed was a cafe de olla latte and it was very good. I can taste the anise in the home made syrup. Must stop when in the Lakewood/LB area !! read more
