VIBES!!!! I learned of this place while I was dining next door. Decided to visit and boy was I was impressed. Walking in it Deor is super sexy. The color scheme gives Tiffany's vibes. Placing my order was very pleasant. The manager took my order and this man was just breathtaking in customer service. He notice I had on a Tiffany's shopping bag charm necklace and reference the Tiffany's store to the decor of the cafe. His energy was so dope. He was very attentive, polite and extremely friendly. I would revisit just because of him alone. I dined in and my avocado toast and potatoes arrived to my table and it was time to see if the food matched the vibes of this place. I saw a video of their stuffed French toast and immediately called my best friend for a breakfast meet-up.The second you walk in, you can tell this place is doing things differently. They have a coffee robot setup that feels completely next level, and the bakery display alone is worth the trip. Was in the area for work and swung by this place to checkout their robot for making coffee and also try their crepes. I ordered the strawberry banana Nutella crepe with a Vietnamese iced coffee, which they said was one of their top sellers. The coffee was absolutely delicious, sweet but not too sweet. It literally looks like a mango and the inside mimicked like the mango itself. There is an actual mango in there covered in the mouse and it was absolutely delectable. Banana Mousse - 4.5/5 this was one of the cutest desserts I've had!!! Shaped like a tiny banana and the inside definitely tasted like banana flavored pudding but not too artificial. Strawberry matcha - 5/5 I will say the option of macadamia milk elevates this so much better. Typically at other cafe or tea shops I would choose almond, but this takes it to another level. Located at the Downey promenade with plenty of parking! I had heard a lot about this location but didn't have the chance to try it until today! Upon walking in there is a lot of outdoor seating with limited indoor seating. They have a wide selection of food, drinks and pastures which all looked so good! The cashier was very friendly. First, customers must order at counter. Then, customers take a number to the table, and Staff brings your order. When I arrived, the line is lengthy. It took three minutes and 30 seconds to reach the counter. Staff is welcoming, charming, and helpful. Staff eagerly shared detailed recommendations when prompted. My order took five minutes. Fair time. As mentioned, I appreciated the Cinnamon Oat Latte ($6 - Hot). This coffee arrived thin and foamy. It's not too sweet nor too bitter. Rather, the brew felt good quality. Its roasted sweetness reminded me of dark chocolate. However, this liquid is slightly coarse, as it brushed against the throat. Thankfully, the aroma and flavor is fairly pleasant. Regarding ambiance, One Twelve Caffe's (Downey) audio felt like a Brunch Nightclub hybrid. It's very loud and crowded. However, there's also utility. There's customer internet with password; its details hang on the plastic frame near the counter. There's also about five electrical outlets under the plush seating. There's a self-service water station. And there's a gender neutral restroom in the back. There's also indoor and outdoor tables. I also appreciated the framed "Barista Promise." We loved our server, Jasmine, who was very knowledgeable and very helpful with suggestions when we had trouble deciding. She was patient, polite, and had delightful energy. She even gave me a demo of "Tom", the robotic arm barista, who made me a strong shot of expresso. (He works! He's just slower than the real baristas so they don't use him during busy hours, like the weekends.) I recommend trying this place out if you are in Downey. I planned to do a quick meal and drink at the olive nextdoor before my movie, but decided to finally try this spot out! It was lunch rush on a Tuesday and I had like 50 min before my movie. I ordered and picked my table out and the food came out pretty quick considering how packed it was! Everything was SOOOO yummy! The service was amazing, and the workers were all so kind and attentive! Their dirty chai was pretty good, not my favorite ever but I would get it again! 10/10 matcha , I didn't realize until after we left that there's a robot barista!! I would love to come back and watch it in action We ordered: Mango matcha 8/10- mango cream on top + mango syrup at the bottom, even subbed with oatmilk this was SO creamy and such good mango flavor, it tasted like a gummy/candy mango in a good way! coconut matcha 9/10- very refreshing and not too sweet Overalls both matcha seemed to have high quality matcha powder used + vibrant green color Ratatouille crepe: 8/10 tastes like pizza and ratatouille, my only note was that this wasn't a traditional ratatouille? The vegetable pieces were cut into chunks of varying sizes VS sliced thinly, but tasted very good Banana biscoff crepe 9.5/10 I don't often order sweet crepes, this was ALMOST perfect for me, I wish the bananas were cooked or caramelized, it would have taken it to the next level for me. The café is bright, clean, and beautifully decorated -- plus the service was genuinely warm from the moment we walked in. We ordered the Ratatouille (Vegetarian) Panini, and it was absolutely delicious. The roasted vegetables were perfectly seasoned, and the flavors were super fresh without being too heavy. It was honestly one of the best vegetarian paninis we've had in a long time. wishing they added a layer of lettuce or greens right under the bread to keep it from getting a bit soft. Just a small tweak, but it would make it perfect. My kids loved the food too -- especially the fries. They even said the fries were better than In-N-Out, which says a lot! And of course, the highlight: their famous robot barista. It makes the drinks right in front of you, and you can even print custom latte art. The kids were mesmerized -- you could honestly spend time just watching it, and time flies by so fast. Another big plus: the café is only 2 minutes from the Columbia Memorial Space Center, making it a perfect stop before or after a family visit. Are you kidding? This place is fantastic. The menu is creative and different from your typical coffee shop, and the customer service is exactly what you hope for - warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. They're connected to the restaurant next door (which is also very good), and even though they were somewhat busy, they still let us order our drinks for dessert through them. We really appreciated the flexibility. We tried the Dubai Chocolate Latte and the Biscoff Latte - both were delicious. They even had the cutest pink heart straws for Valentine's Day, which was such a thoughtful little touch. read more
