I'm really excited for this place to officially launch and it's about time we get a small business coffee shop in the area. We ordered an horchata latte with oat milk and a hazelnut latte with oat milk. Both of which were great and coffee forward just like I prefer. We also ordered one breakfast burrito, it was filling and not all potato like other breakfast burritos. Total the coast was approximately 30$ and yes we can all complain that the price is a little much, but it was actually good! If they keep up the consistency in their products I'd gladly keep paying the prices. But if you prefer to support large coffee chains with cheaper coffee that's watered down there's a Dunkin and Starbucks up the street. read more

Went to try this place out today because it was getting such great reviews, the aesthetic and location is so cute yet so small. Very disappointed with the drinks we got, 3 drinks totaled to 25$ and the hazelnut latte I got was literally just milk with a splash of espresso. The taste and quality is similar to something you can make at home, this place has amazing potential but in a place where there is such a high demand for coffee they definitely need to step up their game. I'll start by saying coffee is good. The burrito I was really disappointed. I have ordered the burrito before when they first opened and was really good. My second time here and disappointed for $14 bucks for a burrito and no meat at all to expensive. At first I thought did they make a mistake and give me a no meat burrito. The bacon was hard to fine. The burrito had no bacon but two thin pieces. My first experience was full of meat and was good for the price when they first opened. Now only two thin slices. Was working in the area and needed coffee and a quick Yelp search brought me here. I'm in this area, fairly often but I've never found a go-to coffee spot out here until now! Coffee Cats is not only good, it stands out when you're driving through the city. I parked in their lot and ordered inside. Inside it's a vibe. It's not terribly big, and there's a few seats inside, but outside is where I would sit and enjoy my coffee. The staff are really nice and I needed to use the restroom and I'm happy to report it's very clean and cute inside there. I ordered the lavender latte with oat milk and it was ready by the time I was done using the restroom. The coffee here is solid! So smooth, no bitterness, high quality. You can def taste the horchata and the coffee and it's not overly sweet. It does give me a bit of Tierra Mia, which isn't a bad thing. I think that's one of the only drinks Tierra Mia does really well. Their vanilla latte on the other hand was very milky. I didn't taste any coffee and the vanilla flavor was very subtle. It really felt like I was drinking nothing but milk. Food 9/10 We ordered their breakfast classic burrito and this, flavor wise was 10/10! It was made to order and we thought the size was pretty good. We also ordered a chocolate chip cookie that was very chocolatey (not a complaint at all). Seems like they bake in house so that was awesome to see. You can def taste the homemade taste in the cookies. We left wanting to order more baked items so we will be back for that. Vibes/Ambiance : 8/10 We came on a Saturday morning and it wasn't too busy. They have a cute outside patio with plenty of space but there's really only two tables with shade. The space inside is small but does have another 2-3 small seating areas. The decor is cute and clean and minimal. I love that they have plantitas around. The staff is friendly and seemed to be very busy. They have parking too and from what we saw, they have a drive thru opening soon - which is awesome! So happy to see a non chain coffee spot in Bell Gardens! Super cute coffee spot with plenty of parking and outdoor seating. Staff were super friendly and let me know all bakery items are made in-house. Iced horchata latte was perfectly sweet, I did have to ask for extra shots but I love my lattes with more coffee than milk. The baguette sandwich was delicious. Turkey, ham, bacon, provolone, lettuce, tomatoes and avocado on warm baguette! I do wish the bacon would have been a little crispier but besides that it was perfect. I topped it off with an oatmeal raisin cookie that was also delicious. It was crispy on edge and soft and moist for the rest. I am a coffee girly, never tried any of their Matcha. This was the first time trying, their Matcha and it was so delicious. I loved how the worker was explaining matcha to me they explained how there's different grades of Matcha. For example, like wine, somebody might like a dryer versus somebody liking a fruity wine and match is the same. Some are more earthy and some are brighter green or darker green it was really interesting. But I always encourage people to go try things for themselves and don't just take my word for it. read more

My friend and I came to Coffee Cats on a whim. We both came in blind which I'm glad we did! I got a cold brew w banana cream top and my friend got a vanilla latte. The cold brew was solid, but that banana cream top was something else. It was so delicious and flavorful. It honestly reminded me a little bit of arroz con leche so safe to say I will be getting it again next time. I decided to try their breakfast burrito ($14.50) and it was pretty good! I do think the price is a little steep for it but definitely worth a shot to try it! Also, everyone was so incredibly nice and had such great and welcoming energy! My hubby and I checked this place out. We ordered 2 breakfast burritos, 1 Oreo cold brew frappe, and 1 Carmel cold brew frappe. The burritos were good but small for the price. I wish the bacon was crispy, but the seasoning was great! I would order again! The frappes were good. Tasty. I had been looking forward to visiting this coffee shop and was excited to finally stop by. The space is beautiful and has a great atmosphere, and the drinks were excellent. Lily and Grandpa were both incredibly kind, welcoming, and friendly, which made the experience enjoyable. Unfortunately, the interaction with Tina, the barista who took my order, left me feeling disappointed. Her customer service did not match the warm and inviting atmosphere of the shop. Whether she was simply having an off day or not, the interaction came across as unfriendly and lacked the level of hospitality any paying customer would expect. I hope this was just an isolated experience, as she has room to improve her customer service and help create a more consistently positive experience for customers. read more

The ambiance in this place is amazing! They have cute tables outside to dine in and it's a setup that's creative and unique. The menu is small which is a good thing! Their vanilla latte with banana foam was absolutely delicious. The owner was there when we went in and I noticed he was in and out of the restaurant making sure everyone was getting great service. He accidentally made an extra latte and just gave it to us. I noticed the people by us felt the latte was too sweet and he didn't hesitate to give them a new one tailored to them. We went to Coffee Cats this morning and we were very happy we did. Their coffee, breakfast burrito and cookies were sooooo good! First of all, such a clean design and clean shop. Love it. The staff are also great, very attentive and very good customer service. To drink we had an iced vanilla latte and cold brew. To eat we had the breakfast burrito and a chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies. My husband said this was the best breakfast burrito he's had in a long time, 10/10. Cookies are rich and full of flavor. The coffee was perfect! I'm so happy to see a spot like this in Bell Gardens. We definitely need more businesses like it. Came in and ordered the Horchata Frappe, my drink came in a little messed up, I was fine with it, but the dude who made my drink clocked it and made me a brand new one. Super stoked to have a new coffee shop in the community. For their first weekend open, I had a really positive experience and was especially excited to see that they offer quality coffee drinks--not just overly sugary, milky options. Considering they're a small business, the prices are very fair. The staff is small and they were clearly very busy, yet they still did their best to create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. In a time when large chains like Starbucks and fast-food businesses seem to dominate and thrive, it's important for us as a community to be patient and supportive of small businesses--especially Latino-owned ones. It's really not fair to compare small business pricing to corporate pricing. While cost matters, so do the quality of ingredients and the care behind what's being served. Management shared that their syrups don't contain glucose syrup, which is important to me and shows a level of intention with their ingredients. My only small complaint would be that the music was a bit loud, but aside from that I'm genuinely excited to have them here. I look forward to seeing them stay strong, grow, and continue evolving as part of our community. read more

The young man at the register asked his manager (who was active at the coffee bar making drinks) if my drink can be made hot because those have only been ordered "iced" in the past. The shade of Matcha green was beautiful, that's usually telling of the taste, and sure enough perfect. SO smooth, only Matcha and milk, no sweeteners-no need, YUMMY just like that! My boyfriend ordered a Matcha Latte-Iced, JUST AS DELICIOUS as my hot drink. It is GREAT to receive professional service with a smile (seriously rare now) when giving your hard earned money in exchange for what you hope will be a good product. Not like the coffee chain places that have rude, cochino/filthy hands working the drink bar because they are infected by the corporate "when's my shift over / nothing here is mine or costs me money to maintain so let it go to hell / ugh-this customer is asking me to work" attitude. VERY welcoming here, good vibe. CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN indoors and out. Cleanliness is a BIG deal to me. You can watch them make your drinks. Seems like each one was made with care.
