First and foremost, the location is really clean and organized, which is a huge plus in my mind. Additionally, there is a window you can see into as they make the churros, the cakes, and all other pastries in the shop. It's really captivating to look and see what they are doing. The moment you walk in, they treat you like family and instantly say hi and check-in on you. They also give you the time you need and let you do what you need to do. I ordered a churro and a choco flan. The churro took a minute, because they make it fresh, and was it worth it! Crispy, cinnamony, and delicious. The choco flan I got for a coworker and she loved it. We ended up purchasing 3 tres leches cakes: original, horchata, and strawberry shortcake. They all were delicious and had just the right amount of sweetness. I first saw this place while driving down Paramount Blvd and had to bust a u-turn to check it out. We got the churro with ice cream and it was so delicious. The inside is also very cute and the sunflower cart was such a sweet touch. Since then.. we've been back 5+ times! The service is great and so kind. As a former Disney Cast Member and a churro lover, I had to try this location--and based solely on the churros, I give it a 5/5! However, I was disappointed with the champurrado. I love champurrado and had high expectations, especially from a small, authentic spot like this. Unfortunately, it was SUPER grainy, and I couldn't even finish it, definitely would prefer the one from Tacos Gavilan. I even gave it to my dad, who usually eats and drinks anything, but he didn't like it either. Sadly, we ended up throwing away about three cups. It might have been a bad batch or just the last of the pot, so I'd be willing to give it another try since I love champurrado. I also tried the arroz con leche but wasn't a fan, so I passed it to my dad as well. Despite this, I'd still return for the churros and the great atmosphere! The co-owner was named Oscar and he was so helpful in letting us know what they served and how he could help us. I ordered the new coconut cream churro and it was hot and delicious. We also ordered the jalapeño cream-cheese bread. He warmed it up and the bread was so soft, u could tell how freshly made it was. The place was clean and bright.
