Finally made it to MOKKA Coffee & Tea in Bellflower I'm not gonna lie, I went in a little hesitant because I had seen some of the Yelp reviews mentioning the customer service, burnt-tasting coffee, not being greeted, and issues with the kiosk. But honestly, I had a COMPLETELY different experience! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted right away actually, twice! The kiosk did get me stuck for a second, but one of the baristas came right over and helped me. I even watched her help another customer who wasn't familiar with the kiosk, and she was just as helpful and patient with him. Now let's talk about the DRINKS because WOW. I ordered the Dulce Cream Spanish Latte and Double Mokka Latte and both were SO good. I honestly wasn't expecting much because of some of the reviews, but these drinks surprised me! The shop is super cute, the service was great, and I really enjoyed my experience. I also appreciate the BOGO they're offering for their soft opening because I paid only $6.75 for TWO drinks! The beverages are so yummy and the prices are really affordable! The service was quick and easy, and I really loved how clean, simple, and minimalistic the atmosphere was. It's such a cute little place to stop by and grab a drink! The only little suggestion I would have is to add a bit more sweetness! Every time I've gotten a matcha or coffee, I personally found it to be a little more on the bitter side and not quite as sweet or flavorful as I prefer. Of course, everyone has their own sweetness preference, so this is just my personal taste! I think adding a little honey or offering a sweeter option for the matchas and coffee would make them even more delicious. I was disappointed with my experience overall. The AI-generated posters and images displayed on the kiosks made the space feel less authentic. As a new business, I was hoping to interact with employees to ask questions about the menu and learn more about the drinks, but ordering was only available through the kiosk, so there wasn't much opportunity for customer service. I ordered the Cocoa Puffs Latte and the Cinnamon Toast Cold Brew, and unfortunately both tasted watered down. I couldn't finish either drink because they tasted low quality and lacked the flavor I expected. At $7.50 per drink, I expected a much better product. Went looking on TikTok for a local coffee shop and found this place. I said there was a soft opening walking inside. It was so aesthetically pleasing. I ordered two drinks. I got Dulce Cream Spanish latte & Dulce cream Spanish matcha . Both drinks were a 10 out of 10 that was my first time trying those flavors and I'll come back to get each one. I think this place was amazing and the experience .My only suggestion maybe because it is in the beginning of an opening a soft opening that there was lots of things to do maybe but I think customer service just a little more initiative goes a long way and makes customers want to come back . The kiosk is a bit overwhelming at first. There was a huge selection of drinks so it does take quite a bit to make a decision. Service is pretty quick getting the drinks out they have seating inside and even have TVs. With so many coffee options these days they do offer a BOGO free. 5 stars for the service, 3 stars for the lattes. Stopped by during their soft opening to enjoy their BOGO free specials. Staff was super friendly and doing their best to get drink orders out (they were quite busy when I stopped by) - they even took the time to help me with the kiosk, which wasn't working properly. Decided on two matchas (strawberry x2 and raspberry), as well as a latte (can't remember the exact one). The matchas were both just okay - definitely wouldn't get again. I couldn't tell the difference between the strawberry and raspberry both in taste and looks. The matcha didn't come through a lot either. The latte was better, but still just okay. They are in the soft opening, so hopefully they improve their drinks. Luckily they have service down, though. read more

MOKKA is my new favorite hidden gem. This cashless coffee shop is filled with one of a kind speciality drinks. Today I tried the Captain crunch latte and it exceeded all of my expectations. For there to be only 2 baristas they whipped up my drinks super fast. Right now they have a buy one get one and I just know it's only a matter of time before the line is down the block. I was here for the soft opening BOGO and it was packed. Many options for cold foams with a $1 up charge and a variety of drink choices. If you go remember to register for points... there's no cashier .., they have a big tablet for you to order when you do your first order just scroll down and check the bogo options then click add so you don't get charge double or for two drinks. Also parking is limited so be patient and since the bogo is a big thing many people is coming... be patient both parking and coffee are packed . Coffee is bit pricey between $6-$8 dollars.The reason why I gave a 4 start is because they don't sell hot coffee or pastries.. a bummer! But maybe later they would. Go and enjoy the bogo! read more

Overall I didn't have the best experience at Mokka, the coffee I got had a burnt flavor. I think drink I got was called the double mokka latte, it was pretty much a mocha base with a chocolate cream on top. It was not sweet enough and the coffee had a strange burnt flavor. Take this with a grain of salt, but my partner says that it looked like the workers were reusing espresso pucks so that might be the culprit for the burnt taste. Again, he thinks that is what he saw, not 100% sure so we could be wrong! I would give this place another chance after the bogo is over, maybe the quality of the drinks will increase once they've been established longer. read more

Walking in, you notice there are two tv's but no music playing, so it's quite quiet. There were 2 employees working when I went on a Friday. I took advantage of the BOGO. Unfortunately, they don't accept cash because their only ordering method is a kiosk- card only. They only have two kiosks. The iced Spanish latte was delicious I would definitely order again. Tried Mokka a couple times and I would say as far as service - was pretty good and I have no complaints. We were able to sample some boba before purchasing since I didn't know if I liked crystal boba. That was no issue! As far as the coffee - the lattes are pretty good! I think coffee is their strong suit. As far as the matcha.. unfortunately it's not very good. Definitely not the typical taste of a ceremonial matcha. I would say it's sweet, not concentrated/dark, and just doesn't taste authentic. Overall, the BOGO is great and the place is clean and the service is good. It's just the matcha that needs to improve. I had a tea here too one time and it was good, not amazing. I like this place overall and would come back, it has potential just needs to improve some of the drinks. read more

I was excited to try Mokka, but unfortunately my experience was disappointing. From the moment I walked in, there was no greeting, no direction, and no acknowledgment--just blank stares. A simple "Hi" or asking if I needed help would have gone a long way. The matcha was also not good. It tasted more like oat milk mixed with strawberry jam than high-quality ceremonial-grade matcha. If you're advertising matcha, the quality should reflect that. What really left a bad impression was when one of the baristas wouldn't let go of my drink until I showed my receipt. After I showed proof that I had already paid, she snatched the receipt back without saying a word. The interaction felt rude and unnecessary. I understand this is a newer business, and every new café has room to grow. However, being humble, welcoming, and polite shouldn't be difficult. Good customer service is what brings people back and helps build a loyal customer base. I hope this review is taken as constructive criticism because the atmosphere and customer experience need just as much attention as the drinks. read more

Finally went around to my neighborhood coffee spot, the newly opened Mokka Coffee. I love it so much that I ended up going two weekends in a row (that's often for me). I was overwhelmed with the menu choices only for me to find out there were MORE options to customize my drink with sweetness level, foams, pumps, and other deliciousness! It's clean with super quick service. I have only two reasons why I'm not giving this a five star rating. Reason 1: The only service options are kiosks. Staff are available to help but that slows down time of production. However, I saw that some people have difficulty ordering their drinks which slows down the line greatly. Downfall 2: The tvs are never set. Instead of having the Netflix homepage, perhaps displaying a menu or drink options with the names would be more effective. There's a really, REALLY long list of options and maybe people knowing the menu options would help expedite and fix issue number one. Overall, the products are delicious! I've tried their lattes, cold brews, and matcha. I am hoping to drink my way through the menu. There's definitely not single favorite, but that just means everything is amazingly crafted! I came for the first time and was not disappointed. Let's just say it was fire and I needed an extinguisher. I ordered a Cinnamon Toast Crunch cold brew and matcha cold brew with ube foam and coco puffs. They have great BOGO deals and be dropping them like they're hot! The place is very bright and inviting. The staff and service were just as good as the drinks. I was dreaming about the drinks like I was floating in cold foam clouds. I literally came back a few days later because I am now hooked. This coffee place just opened and we've been eyeing this plaza for a while as to when they open. Came here and had ordered since it's still their soft opening and offering BOGO. So far, our favorite is the black sesame latte and the dulce cream Spanish latte. Cafe looks neat with a nice ambiance to it. You order through a kiosk and just give one of the two receipts to them for them to know your order. Has a TV to entertain you while waiting for your order. Was waiting for this spot to open when we first saw it, so we immediately came once we saw the soft opening sign! We walk in and the shop was very clean with minimal decoration. We were immediately greeted and told about their bogo promotion. It was super easy to order your drinks through their kiosk, and they have a great variety of drinks to choose from. Service was pretty good for it being their opening day and the staff were getting accustomed to orders. We got their Mokka Frappe and Coconut Matcha. The frappe was a great blend but I wasn't too fond of the chocolate syrup. The matcha was also a bit too watery for my liking. I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt and hope it would taste good when we went but unfortunately it wasn't :( I got an horchata frappe and it looked really good but it was way too icy, it was more of like a raspado like I was chewing on the ice a lot. My bf got a a Dulce Spanish latte and he said it was one of the worst coffees he's ever tried, I tried it myself as well and it was not good at all. The coffee tasted really burnt and bitter and was not smooth at all. The inside is cute and small, counter space is tiny and it's clean inside. We didn't get greeted when we walked in or ask if we had any questions about the menu, so we really had no interactions with the workers. I hope since this is a new business, they listen to all the negative reviews and fix something about their recipes cus they can definitely improve! Although, I will most likely not return. read more

Their hours are all out of wack. We've tried to go on 3 separate occasions. The online posted hours (Yelp and Google) don't seem to ever be accurate.
