Visited Mariachi bakery for the first time via drive thru, the menu, ordering & pick up spit is located on the passenger side which was interesting! I was a bit worried at first but it worked out perfectly. I ordered an abuelita ice latte and a burrito with chorizo and papa that came with a side of salsa. I'd come back for these things alone. I got a Spanish latte, which is an espresso-based drink with condensed milk and some spice. Definitely did the job and paired nicely with my pastries. I thought my guava "taquito" and cheese "taquito" were both on the dense side; however, I really liked their homemade vanilla concha/pan dulce. I used to live here in Norwalk for about 12 years. I moved to cerritos and I hate that we have no culture there. Norwalk has so mich flavor and i miss it. Anyways, the food is greater in Norwalk, especially here at Mariachis with their pastries and mexican inspired lattes! To be honest ive tried many mexican inspired drinks from other places....either too sweet or the flavor is not there. The horchata was too sweet for me here, and so was abuelita, but what i love is that you can always alter the sweetness! I dont like how the drive in is in the opposite side of the car, so I always have to take my shoes off to get the coffee, although I dont mind cuz I feel like a princess when I grab my coffee...I get all excited when I take my shoes off and try to look cute while getting my coffee even if im fat. They have so many classic Latino favs like cafe de olla, abuelita chocolate, and classic black drip coffee. They also have decaf options for lattes! I tried the cafe de olla with sweet foam. Overall it was a super tasty drink, not too overwhelming on the clavo. The only downside, which was a tiny detail, was the sweet foam was underwhelming. I was happy to visit at a calm time (11:30 am). I was able to take my time and see all the different breads, tres leches cake slices, and delicious coffee menu. The staff were friendly and helpful in giving recommendations. When I arrived I was eating with my eyes, but was able to walk out with 4 concha's, 2 puerquitos, and an iced cafe de olla. It was totally worth it, the people inside were super friendly, the service was quick and with a smile. It was breakfast time and most places during that time are thrashed from people eating their breakfast and just the breakfast rush overall - not here is was cleaned and smelled fresh inside. Today I went in to try a strawberry matcha, I walked up to the counter, and waited to be greeted. Multiple employees were walking back and forth and none had greeted me or say they would help me. I feel they lacked customer hospitality. I was finally helped with my order. In my opinion, I did not like the matcha. I know everyone is different however the matcha had too much of an earthy bitter taste and the strawberry cold foam was too bland. Couldn't really taste the strawberry. The employee that was serving the drinks hesitated to give me mine and pulled away the drink when I told her I ordered the strawberry matcha and had been waiting. After I finally confirmed, again, with her my order and then she gave it to me. I am not sure why there was confusion, so I think the order of the way they do things needs to improve and customer hospitality. read more

It's a mini packet with hardened like Nutella and strawberry. You get a little mini spoon and I always felt sophisticated eating them. Anyways, I got the coffee for dessert and it was just a bit reminiscent of the flavor. Not too accurate but the cold brew was good and balanced the sugar. It looked aesthetically pleasing as well. What I ordered: -Chorizo con papa empanada: This was good! The breading was flaky and slightly crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. The chorizo was flavorful but there was barely any potato in it and it randomly got pretty spicy towards the end of the empanada. It was good nonetheless and bigger than expected. 4/5 ** It came with salsa but I felt like it was flavorful on its own. The pickled onions it came with were a little too vinegary for my taste.** -Champurrado Latte: I got this with almond milk and decaf because their coffee is pretty strong here and wasn't hoping to get jittery. It was super good! I enjoyed the cinnamon and sweet flavor of the champurrado and the coffee flavor was there without being too strong. 4/5 Overall, I really like this place, they've got quality products for decent prices. This place is very underrated, I've passed by here so many times and never took the opportunity to try it until one day and I'm glad I did. I've had several of their drinks and all were so delicious and unique in their own way. The service is always amazing, the baristas are patient and very professional especially when i don't know what i want upon arrival. The drive through convenience is a plus and much appreciated. I also wanted to shout out Nelly who works at the front counter usually, she's amazing. She's very friendly and made my experience here a 10 out of 10. I have not had one bad encounter with any of the staff here and I feel that that is a plus. Once they get their drive through opened it will be even better - although I'm sure it would be for pre-orders because they make everything fresh so the line may be long. The drinks are very good and can hold their own against Tiera Mia and even Starbucks in some cases. I got my Mexican Mocha Frappuccino with oat milk and it it did not miss! My only critique about my breakfast Birria sandwich - the meat was a little too dense for breakfast. Maybe turkey sausage or turkey bacon would have made it more breakfasty.
