Holy smokes the bread here is so DELICIOUS it's dangerous!!! I found them on Yelp and decided to give it a try since I'm on my quest to find my favorite Mexican sweet breads. I hit the jackpot with this place and my search is now over. This place wins. All the breads I tried are so soft, fresh, and tasty! Huge variety to choose from as well. I bought 7 breads to try and I am embarrassed to admit that I ate 3 in one day... I couldn't resist because of how delicious they were. Even the bolillo was amazing and made me a fantastic sandwich for lunch. The lady helping me was sweet and kind when I told her it was my first time. It's cash only so bring some dollar dollar bills and try some delicious pan dulces!

La crisis! They charge $1 if you want your bread in a box. I purchased one dozen concha's as a gift so I needed the box. The other six were fine in a plastic bag (eeew) but not a deal breaker. Cash Only is annoying. I agree with other customers, an updated payment method should be in the near future. Some of the ladies could be a little friendlier. Especially the owner lol. Their bread is good, their cakes are delicious! Paid $26.50 for x18 regular size concha's (Not Minis)

Cash only Bread is good but very inconvenient I recommend this place for the bread But they should have more options For payment Only bad thing

    Under cooked bread greasy bread.

The bread isn't bad but I would just drive down to northgate or even Chapala for more authentic Mexican bread. They seem to use the same dough for their breads so they all taste the same, they're not bad but they just taste like powder milk there's no flavors to them and their service is horrible. No hello, good morning... even their faces are horrible. The first time the girl shoved my bread into the bag and was talking with an attitude the second time the old lady basically threw my change at me. I don't really care for the bread or food people sell once I'm greeted with such a horrible attitude that's a no for me, I earn my money I'm not gonna choose to spend it at a place I don't feel welcomed at. Wanted to give the benefit of doubt since you never know what's going on in peoples life but nah this is my last time. Wouldn't recommend this bakery at all.

I especially like the hello conchas

My favorite place for conchas and elotes! The establishment is clean, organized and employees are friendly.

Best bakery in Norwalk. Period. They only accept cash and if that changed I'd give them 6 stars if I could.

HONEY BAKERY is a nondescript little shop that sits in an old strip mall, and to give you an idea…read moreof how good it is, they've NEVER had to make upgrades to their decor to increase appeal--it's exactly the same as it's been since the 80s. I've always loved walking in there, inhaling the oven-fresh aromas like a FIEND, ever since I was in grade school-- I'll turn 51 in a few days. You have ONE slice of their special occasion shortcakes (strawberry, mango, and I think one more variety), and you instantly become a new customer--this has been their calling card for DECADES, and they EXPONENTIALLY grow their clientele with each cake sold (potentially a new customer per slice). Their customers are SO loyal that--as far as I can tell--Honey Bakery isn't even on social media--word-of-mouth, even in 2026, is all that's needed--their baked goods speak for themselves. I highly-recommend their MILK BREAD (you'll be willing to make a special trip here, SOLELY to pick up a bag or two)--if you're a bread-lover, you'll find their freshly+baked loaves to smell intoxicating, and let's see if you can stop yourself from snacking on JUST one slice, right out of the bag....they're REALLY addictive. They come THICK- and THIN-SLICED, but thick especially sells out quickly by mid-morning, so CALL AHEAD & RESERVE your order. As I was reminded by reading another customer's review, payment is CASH-ONLY.

This review is mainly for their pastries, since I also haven't tried their cakes in a while, but…read morepresumably those are still good. Every time I've gotten a pastry from here in the last 5-8 years they have slowly gotten more and more dense lol. I only ate one pastry, but this pastry had maybe 100 solid layers and I feel like I just stuffed my self at KBBQ... I miss old soft pastry. I used to love their pork sung pastry too, but now it's a pork sung dense bread with a pastry blanket on top. This is a mom and pop shop so I feel like they either hired a new baker or one took over and has a taste for very dense bread and textures... honestly texture is not bad, but way too filling and heavy for me.
