Got pizza from here and it didn't look like much but it was actually really good. I would not hesitate to order again.

Ever since I graduated high school (16 years ago), the one place to go after a day band practice…read morewould be nestled in a quaint strip mall in Artesia. Every time I walk in I would be greeted by the operational manager, sandwich connoisseur, and overall warm human being. Never had I had a bad experience coming from this location. It helps to communicate with the human beings preparing your food. This place needs to be recognized as a the place to eat for lunch, dinner, breaks, catering, and everything in between for those who care about consistency. There's a reason why generations of Artesians and locals alike come to experience a place that never changes in an ever changing world. TJ Submarines is the place. Go try it out.

I've stopped by a few times when in the area, and each time the sandwiches are fresh and tasty. Their menu display even looks nostalgic. They have a good variety of cold and hot sandwiches and salads. My recent orders have been the mesquite chicken & bacon with added avocado, club, and tuna. The amount of ingredients stuffed into the sandwiches is decent for the price. They offer a few bread options, but I usually get the soft French roll. They have canned and bottled drinks, a few fountain sodas, and bags of chips. The couple who own the shop are kind and get orders out promptly. The dining area is also clean and spacious, with a few tables and booths where you can enjoy a meal. They accept digital payment (Venmo and Zelle), credit cards, and cash. A sign at the register says they charge an additional 75¢ for credit. I usually pay cash when I can. If you're looking for a classic, no-nonsense sandwich, and you're in the area, this place is worth a stop. 3.5 Stars!

Their pasta is way better than Cheesecake Factory! The Chicken Alfredo is rich, flavorful, and garlicky. The ravioli with pink sauce is also delicious, while the marinara was a little plain for my taste. Every pasta dish comes with garlic bread that's buttery, garlicky, and full of flavor. Portions are HUGE, so come hungry! Their cannolis are yummy and reasonably priced, too. You can order in person and wait or order online for an easy pickup. Definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to again and again!

As far as the food ...The sandwich was not for me, but those that said it was very delicious and fresh. Now I have the antipasto salad and I will be honest it was OK nothing extraordinary, but what I did not enjoy were the olive pits that were still in the olives that was not fun. Thankfully, I did take my time when eating my salad and was cautious when approaching the olives as I have had an unfortunate experience that cracked my tooth due to an olive in a salad before. So that's a huge negative for me on the antipasto salad. The price point is pretty decent, the food was good, but to say that I would drive all the way back out to grab a sandwich here would probably not happen, but I'd only come out here if I was in the area. Places clean, prices, Repair, and the workers were kind of to that I am grateful.

I just wish they had more T-shirt options because their sandwiches are so freaking good I'd wear their t-shirt' Hey. Guess what. They have more t shirt options now that are bad-ass. Can I say bad-ass? I just realized my entire review is about their merch...This time I got the curry chicken sandwich. I initially got it because curry chicken sandwiches always have a sweet element and most places do raisins or apples. Here, they did peach, and I was like, 'damn. I want to try this.' But when I bit into it, the star of the freaking show was the peppercini!! What!??! That vinegary balance with a tiny kick. Mmmm, yeah. Super good that I ate way too much in one sitting.

Cream cheese and potato chips? Somehow it all worked. Sad it is gone. My coworkers love the Prime Rib and BBQ Brisket. I don't recommend the Tuna Salad Sandwich or the Italian. Tuna was dry and the Italian had heavy amounts of olives. We order delivery at 11:AM and don't normally get our sandwiches until 1:30PM. Wait is probably even longer if you are there in person.
