Lots of yummy Filipino food here! We got so many ube pastries and some shrimp lumpia, which was good but very oily. Kind workers.

Lovely little Filipino bake shop. I was gifted the Ube Macapuno Espasols and wow. I loved those little rice cakes so much I needed to make a trip to the shop myself to grab a few more Their other treats were also delicious, and hope to come by again to try even more of what they have to offer.

Moldy Banana nut cupcake. Opened today 8/21/25. Tag says sell by 8/23/25 but it's already moldy!

I like most of their food but today I opened the banana nut cupcake which has a tag of sell by 2 days after today but it's already moldy!!! Please don't trust the tag and check the items!

Prices as of 12/28/2023.

The Ensaimada's are so good from this Luisa and Sons Bake Shop! I've been to the Luisa and Sons in Artesia and wasn't a huge fan, but this Norwalk one is great! The Turons are huge, but they're not my favorite. I like the ones from Pampanga's better. The Turons from Luisa are dry and hard on the inside. It's not as crispy either. They have plenty of other goodies here at Luisa, but I think they really shine with their Ensaimada. They have so many Ensaimada flavors, and the most unique being the Salted Egg Ensaimada. I learned about this flavor from a fellow Yelper, Gerry T. - thanks! I LOVED this flavor! If you like salted egg and regular Ensaimada already, you'll like this combination. I like that their Ensaimada is not too sweet and that they mix in some shredded cheese inside. It's perfect to fridge or freeze and microwave to bring it back to its fluffy state to enjoy anytime! The ladies who work here are nice and friendly. The only downside is long wait times to pay. The line wasn't necessarily long the Thursday I came, but it took a very long time for them to ring people up. There were four people ahead of me who didn't have any complicated orders, and it took over 20 minutes!

Just the number of times I've been here and the amount of money we've spent up in here, I have to bump this review up to 5 stars. I think I came in four (4) days out of a seven (7) day vacation, I may need an intervention to protect me from Luisa and Sons!! Here's what I notice that I keep coming back for: 1) Ube and macapuno (young coconut) ensaymada. I really like this buttery Ube and coconut combo. 2) the Ube ensaymada. Not as good as the combo but it's also very good. 3) pork asado show pow. The white bun is very fluffy and the stuffing is a good amount so the ratio is correct. They even give you a small container of sauce to go with it. 4) the pork and chicken empanadas. This version is for snacking, they're smaller but equally tasty. 5) the salted egg ensaymada, it's a new comer but I really enjoy this salty and sweet sensation. Once again, the amount of salted egg is appropriate. Thank you to my Cali peeps who ship this to me when I run out. Although I don't have to fight off porch pirates, the squirrels love Ube ensaymadas, so I have to bring that box into the house asap.

Our go to Filipino bakeshop when we're in LA area. Lots of assorted Filipino bread/bake delicacies and that's so good that keeps you coming back. We prefer this Norwalk branch since it has more options than the Artesia branch. They run out of Salted Egg Ensaymada which I was excited since I haven't tried it but it's okay since there were still abundant choices that I can't resist. Customer service was excellent. Strongly recommended for your Filipino bakeshop cravings.

Tried placing a phone order. Someone answered the call but no one was speaking. I could hear them on the other line and I could even hear myself saying hello. Does this business not want phone orders? If so, then they should be ready with what customers order, esp if it's a big order, when we walk in.

DELICIOUS! Came here…read moreon a saturday evening and it was fairly packed with all the other food trucks in the area. Dulce Canella has so many options to choose from but we got the Dubai Strawberries, Churros, Mini Pancakes, Atole, and Fried oreos. Everything was sooooo delicious and made fresh to order! You can see them cooking and frying everything in front of you, which is amazing! The Atole was one of the best i've had, usually they seem to be a bit more water down, but their Atole was not like that AT ALL. It was so flavorful. The strawberries they top the pancakes with and they use for the dubai strawberries were perfectly sweet too, it went well with everything. Their service was quick and kind, they recommended so many amazing things and everything was priced great too. Highly recommend supporting a business like Dulce Canella! So so delicious!

I got their fruity pebbles shake, Dubai chocolate strawberries, fried Twinkies, and foodie plater which comes with mini pancakes, fried Oreos, and churros with 2 toppings and I got their fruity pebbles and lechera. Everything is super fresh and made to order. The fruity pebbles shake was creamy, rich, perfectly sweet, with plenty of fruity pebbley flaves. The strawberries in the Dubai chocolate strawberries were fresh, tart, sweet, massive and perfectly balanced the rich nutty pistachio butter and Nutella that was loaded in there with that crispity crunchy kataifi. This was my first time trying a fried Twinkie and Oreo and wow. A crisp yet fluffy pillowy pancake like batter that perfectly balanced the sweet soft Twinkie and Oreo inside. MNM. The churros were also really good. Made to order, Hot, fresh, amazingly crispity crunchy, sugary, and definitely pure deliciousity. The mini pancakes were fluffy, pillowy, had a lightly sweet vanilla flave with a lightly crisp exterior. Everything paired well with the toppings and was a nice sweet treat. Overall this place is pretty good. Foodie platter $15 Fried Twinkies $7.28 Dubai chocolate strawberries $13.52 Fruity pebbles shake $6.76

Update: They're no longer affiliated with Fivestars!…read more I've since gone two additional times to try their waffle bites. My last trip was kind of spontaneous because I suddenly got a Fivestars reward that day for these waffle bites. However, when I arrived, I was looking for the Fivestars tablet only to be met by a Clover tablet instead. It felt like I went through a time warp because the employee working behind the register didn't seem to have any idea what I was trying to say regarding Fivestars, though he did notice a little trifold card on the front counter mentioning Fivestars. I asked if he could get his manager so I could explain, and even show, him my Fivestars reward. The reward said "already accepted", which he almost thought meant I had redeemed it already, but if that were the case, then it would have said "already redeemed". Given that they've now done away with Fivestars, I'm not too surprised he may have gotten the words "accepted" confused with "redeemed", but luckily, he was happy enough to honor it for me. The employee who assisted me was very helpful, though he did ask me to repeat the topping and the drizzle that I wanted. I chose the Strawberry Cheesecake flavor ice cream with Fruity Pebbles toppings and a Strawberry drizzle on top. Since I had already tried the cookie flavors before, I figured I'd try the fruity flavors this time around. He said he needed about 5 minutes to prepare my waffle bites, which were presented a little different than last time. Last time, I got the Cookie Butter flavor with *Cookie* Crisp and Peanut *Butter* (see what I did there?), and it came in a small plastic takeout container. This one came in a large plastic cup, and I'm thinking the logistics may have changed a ton between my last two visits. I did appreciate how the employee asked if I wanted the waffles on top of or beneath the ice cream before making the waffle bites; I chose on top. He also asked if I'd like powdered sugar on top, to which I agreed. Unfortunately, neither of the waffle bites I got from my last two visits impressed me that much. As a matter of fact, the only thing that impressed me was the strawberry drizzle. Everything else fell kind of flat. While generous in size for the $8 price tag, the Cookie Butter and the Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream didn't really taste like these flavors at all! For whatever reason, the peanut butter didn't add much flavor, but the strawberry drizzle added a lot! How even?! In short, the waffle bites weren't that much of an upgrade from the ice cream scoop that I had on my first visit. I'm willing to say "too much good was no good" here. The waffles themselves were good, but they can only do so much when a flavored ice cream doesn't even taste like that flavor. It's worth noting that on my penultimate visit, when I got the Cookie Butter Waffle Bites, I saw two employees behind the front counter who were ready to take my order. I asked them to explain what the waffle bites were, but it took them a couple of tries to actually understand what I was asking. From what I gathered, the waffle bites were similar to the ice cream scoop I had on my first visit, but with the addition of a warm waffle to supplement the ice cream. However, the step-by-step process remains the same. I was initially told it would take 6 minutes to prepare the Cookie Butter Waffle Bites, but it actually took 15! It seemed like one was training the other or they were trying to gather the ingredients and/or the steps needed to create the waffle bites. After about 10 minutes, I was told by one of the employees they had to make a new batch of waffles because the first batch had burnt. The music was getting pretty loud, so it was hard to hear him after that, but I didn't want to hold up the kitchen prep process any longer. I just said "Alright, sure" so he could continue preparing my order. I do appreciate how he let me know of this so that I'd know the reason for the extended wait, but I wish they weren't so ill-prepared during my visit. So overall, still 3 stars overall. I appreciate the prior partnership with Fivestars, but these missed opportunities have led me to believe that Cravings is just not for me. I doubt I'll try anything else on their ice cream menu, and considering that there are only a few parking spots in their lot, it will take a lot to get me to try their hot chicken. And speaking of lack of parking, I also want to mention that on my second visit, I saw two open parking stalls right in front of Cravings, one on either side of a car. That car had its driver's side wide open so that I couldn't park there. I had to park on the passenger side of that car, which he left much less room for. Perhaps a microcosm of the clientele in this part of town? Everybody deserves a second chance, right? Unfortunately, not everybody can make the most of them, and this is just one example of such. Thanks for the sweet treats Cravings, but I'll get my next one somewhere else.

They have two ordering kiosks, which I love because you can take your time, look at the menu with pictures, and not feel rushed. The workers are always nice and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. My absolute favorite is the Twin snow mountains. I'm obsessed with the vanilla frost -- it's like chewing ice that's perfectly flavored with vanilla. The vanilla and matcha ice cream blend together really well, and pairing that with the grass jelly and strawberries is chef's kiss. My only tiny wish is that the strawberries were cut into smaller pieces so I could get one in every bite, but honestly I'll gladly do it myself. I come here all the time just for this dessert. It's my go-to and never disappoints.

Parking: They're located in a high foot traffic plaza, so finding a parking spot can be difficult. Ambiance/Environment: They have a small space with a decent amount of indoor seating. The tables and seats were kept clean. There's cute decor from the ceiling as well. This is the type of spot where you'd bring your family with younger kids for something sweet, while the adults sit and talk. When we visited, my family and one other family pretty much took up all the tables lol. Service: There was only one worker behind the counter serving and making the drinks and desserts. She doesn't acknowledge anyone. It wasn't too busy, but throughput took a while since she was by herself. There's two kiosk to order from. You don't really interact with the worker until she brings out your order. Desserts & drinks: We ordered a mixture of almost everything. We noticed there were a few menu items that were out of stock. I ordered a mango pamelo sago, my sister ordered a brown sugar boba milk tea, my cousin ordered an americano, and my other cousin ordered a strawberry & cream eggette. I thought the mango pamelo sago was okay; the mango flavor was lacking except for the actual mangos. There was plenty of sago, but I thought this dessert was underwhelming. My sister thought the boba was okay bc it had an interesting texture, and the drink itself was lightly sweet than what she's used to. My cousin thought the coffee was okay. The only thing we all enjoyed was the eggette. It's a bubble waffle with ice cream and fresh fruits, which is pretty difficult to mess up. Pricing: Prices are pretty high for the portions offered. Overall, the desserts were underwhelming and some didn't meet our expectations. The eggettes are most likely the only thing we'll come back for.
