The best Buco Pie in town! I haven't had buco pie since I left the Philippines 15 years ago!! But Luisa and Sons nailed it!!

The search for the delicious pandesal has been found! In the west side of Long Beach is where this place has been hiding. This golden bread is fresh, warm out of the oven. I love how its sweet enough but not so over powering. $2.49 for 6 rolls is a steal. There are also ensaymada and other desserts you can choose from, I will have to come back for the rest.

The customer service left a lot to be desired; the 2 employees were chatting as I walked in and didn't stop their conversation to assist.

We went early to make sure they weren't sold out of anything we wanted. We got a good variety and ended up eating the entire box outside before leaving. Top pics would be Doña, Nixtamal Queen, Alfajor de Neuz, and the Brie and Ham Sandwich. My wife got the matcha which was fantastic and I got the Atole latte which was perfectly creamy and not overly sweet. We even got some the morning we left town to make sure we had some to eat back home. Can't wait to be back

The small shop and its two or three tables offer a few places to cave into the cravings. Okay, enough is enough, who am I kidding..let me just cut to the chase. The BOLILLO! Just order it okay? You will thank me later. There is spicy Jalapeno bread and there is this, which is Sourdough, Jalapeno and salt done in the perfect combination. Your taste buds will thank you but there is no need to thank me (after all, I didn't create it). Most of the items on the menu I can't pronounce but you can't really go wrong with any of them. When its your turn its your turn and any of the associates will patiently walk you through the menu and point out their favorites and ingrediants in each if you want The coffee and Matcha are on point here too, with some creative recipes. The Horchata Matcha is one. This is a popular one. Come early for best selection!

I've purchased them three times (each) to make sure I didn't just get a weird batch so I can attest that they lack in flavor, they're just sweet. Sylvanas are decent-crunch is great, not a whole lot of flavor, overly sweet. I suppose I only enjoyed them because it reminds me of my sansrival birthday cakes when I lived in Manila. Nostagiaaaa from the actual texture! Calamansi loaf- fave because it tastes good overall , but lacked calamansi flavor or tartness from the calamansi juice I guess Ube pandesal- I used to get this 3 times a week- just tastes like regular pandesal with a small slice of Cheez. Again, zero ube flavor Regular pandesal- can't go wrong here. Bibingka- decent. Doesn't have the traditional chewiness of bibingka, but just okay in actual flavor. I doctored mine up with slices of Cheezewhiz and salted egg at home. I think the names of the pastries are deceiving because they lack the actual flavor that they're named after. Stopped coming because I felt like I was just paying $20 per visit for something sweet that didn't have depth in flavors. Also, after reading the clap backs from the owner on IG/Yelp reviews towards other patrons, it has turned me off and made me more hesitant to support her business. The guy though (sorry I don't know his name) is always at the counter and super nice!

I'm absolutely obsessed with their coffee menu, baked items, sandwiches, and their selection of grocery-like goods. I ordered the Midsommar caramel latte, ceasar salad sandwich on their fresh baked bread, and the strawberry rhubarb and pistachio danish (!!). I'd easily sign up for this lineup to be my last meal on earth. I even ordered a sourdough bread loaf with olives so I could ride this high for several more days. The Midsommar latte is crafted with housemade caramel, espresso, milk, and topped with sprinkles of fennel and bee pollen - the perfect finale to an already incredible drink. To hear that they also offer an extensive pizza menu? You won't be seeing the last of me, Colossus.

I got a honey lavender latte, as I've only tried their drip in the past. The honey lavender notes were definitely there, but the latte is much more on the milky side than coffee side, which is what I didn't like. However, their sandwich was soo good. The turkey and brie has a nice fluffy bread, a healthy portion of turkey, a mix of herbs, and this super sweet and fragrant fig mostarda, which is like a fig mustard spread. Definitely would come back for the sandwich, maybe not the coffee though.

There is…read morea small bar area inside, but nobody was sitting inside, because the line to order was kind of taking up that area. There are also three tables outside that seat four, four, and two for a maximum of ten. The place fills up fast, but empties just as quick. And their baked goods go quick, so grab them while you can! I ordered the Cuban Empanada as an appetizer. The savory rice and bean filling was a perfect compliment to the sweet ripe plantain filling and hint of sweetness in the dough. They are baked and the dough is thick and chewy, so if you're not a fan of that type of Empanada, be warned... I ordered the Cuban Sandwich as the main course. It was DELICIOUS and I would recommend it to everyone! If you're a purist, like a few of my friends and family though, be warned. Their take on the Cuban is made with Ciabatta not Cuban Bread, Mozzarella not Swiss, and is toasted not pressed... I ordered a Vanilla & Dulce De Leche Cookie for Dessert. It was AMAZING! Soft chewy on the inside, a little crunch on the outside. The taste of a sugar cookie with little sugar bombs of Dulce De Leche throughout. Perfect. And I washed it all down with a Tres Leches Latte (Hot). It was DIVINE! Very much on the sweet side, which I absolutely enjoyed to the last drop. But, if you do not like it too sweet, you can ask them to lower the sweetness level. Also, they will give you an option of dairy milk (2%), almond milk, or oat milk when you order. Overall it was an excellent experience, for me. I will recommend it to all my friends, and will definitely be back!

It was our first time here, so we wanted to try all the flavors! We got the beef, chicken, BBQ pork, Cuban, chicken curry, veggie, and ropa vieja empanadas. I LOVE the crispy exterior of the empanadas, although interestingly, the first bites always tasted slightly salty. The fillings all had decent flavor, but none of them were outstanding or impressed me enough to want more. I will say, the green salsa they included with the order SIGNIFICANTLY improved the taste and experience of the empanadas. By itself, I'd rate the empanadas 3/5, but with the salsa, it definitely goes up to at least 4/5. But I dislike that the empanadas can't hold their own without the addition of the salsa. The shop is located in a plaza with a decent amount of parking. I think there were a few tables outside to enjoy the food, but not much seating otherwise. The girl at the counter seemed sweet and helpful and immediately greeted us when we came into the store. While the empanadas here aren't for me, it does seem like many people like them!

Came in with a small group early on a Wednesday afternoon maybe an hour before closing, and most of the tables were still filled with diners. We were seated right away in the way way back of the restaurant. The layout and decor of the place gives it a classic, borderline kitschy vibe. You can tell it's a place that's managed to hold its own for like 60 years (!!!). The server was friendly, overall service was prompt, and the portions were solid. I got the quiche of the day, which was ham and cheese, and it was amazing. It came with a side (salad was fresh and crisp) and a muffin -- their raspberry streusel muffin was so delicious and a perfect dessert to tie the meal together. I would definitely get this special again, and look forward to trying their other versions of both quiches and muffins. Others at my table got strawberry pancakes, a pastrami sandwich, and chicken fried steak. All food was devoured, so I take it that it was good. However, I really think that the baked goods make this place. So if you go, don't skip out on those.

People's voices carrying through dining area. Here is the bad for me. The French onion soup tasted super sour and acidic. Not sure if they use the red wine like traditional French onion soups but super acidic and sour. Didn't like the soup. The worst part was I ordered the Pastrami Reuben and didn't look like any Pastrami Reuben I have ever had. The meat had so much unrendered fat and connective parts of the pork it was completely inedible. Sandwich lacked meat and cross section photo shows. Also very sloppy build for a restaurant of this level. Unfortunately this will be my last time trying this popular location. 2 - service. 0- food quality
