The lady who took our order was very nice and welcomed us in. My family and I were in the area and the little ones wanted boba and donuts so Mochinut was a great choice. We placed our order online and it was ready within 15 minutes. The store is located in the corner of this plaza with a good amount of parking space. Store itself isn't too big, seems more of a to go type of store which was fine. I've been to other locations but this was my first time at this one. I was really excited to introduce my friend here. We came in on a weekday and it wasn't busy at all. I got their Half n Half corn dog and 3 mochinuts. They do not sell individual mochinuts. They will only do orders of 3 for $9, 6 for $16.50 or, a dozen for $30. I got two red velvets and one chocolate. The half and half corn dog took 15 minutes to make. It was good except I was very disappointed that the hot dog in it was about an inch long only. I almost thought they messed up my order because I kept eating and eating and all I saw was cheese until I got to the very bottom of it. The hot dog was so small and it was the type you would find in a mini corn dog or pigs in a blanket. The mochinuts were good though. No complaints. This location is more of a pick up spot. There isn't really a spot to hang out since it is pretty small and doesn't have many places to sit. The staff was nice but just took awhile to make my order. The potato corn dog was bomb diggity! It was one of the best ones, if not the best one I've ever had. No complaints on the corn dog. The donuts were aight. 1.) It sucks that you have to buy 3 donuts (or 6 or 9) just to try them. Why can't I just buy one donut? You'd probably sell more. At $3/donut, that business decision stings. $9 investment just to get started. 2.) They are not made to order. They are sitting there on a cooling rack for however long until you walk up and buy 3 of them. At Modo Hawaii, they start making them when you order them and you get them hot. Jumping right in, the Ube Milktea Boba is very good--it tastes like a liquid Filipino Halo-Halo, which if you know you know, but if you don't it's basically a compilation of several different ingredients led by Ube Ice Cream and different variations of sweet things (flan, condensed milk, red beans, etc). If you groove on this flavor, I recommend! Their Brown Sugar Milktea Boba is also good--expect it to be sweet. Their drinks are packaged in a plastic bottle but sealed like a soda can. It's cute, but I'm kinda concerned about sustainability. I also tried the Crispy Ramen Corndog. I expected (or wanted) it to taste like a Ramen Tonkatsu corndog. But it doesn't. The Ramen pieces are crispy and that's a fun texture, but it doesn't have a super strong flavor. The whole thing together is ok and is enjoyable to eat, but it's pricey so as a consumer, you have to decide if that's a good value. For me, it's not. Their mochi donuts are solid, if you like mochi donuts in general. We tried the Strawberry Funnel, Chocolate Churro and Creme Brulee. As a chocolate fan, I thought I would enjoy the chocolate churro the most, but the best tasting one ended up being Creme Brulee for me. But again, that's all a personal preference. Definitely pleasurable to try the different flavors and the texture is something different than a regular donut so it breaks the monotony. I was super excited to hear about Mochinut opening in Long Beach because the one in Cerritos is nice, but it is a bit of a drive. This location is right next to Ahipoki, and it's close to Hiccups and Daiso. When I came in, there was already two parties there so it was about 5 people. It did feel a bit cramped, but I honestly didn't mind. The mochi donuts are beautifully displayed, I honestly wish I took a picture to show my parents and friends. They had all the flavors, and they had just ran out of Cookies and Cream. I only came for Korean Corndogs and Milk Tea, but next time, I'm definitely picking up a Simpson's Mochi Donut. The Korean Corndogs tasted amazing, and they're just like the ones in the Cerritos location. The Thai Tea was great, I love the can containers. I tried my sister's Milk Tea, and it tasted good as well. Also, I believe most of the teas they sell are dairy free which I really love. The staff were overly amazing. Food: - hot cheeto inspired corn dog: the cheeto-inspired topping leaned a little sweet and tangy for my preference. I'd stick to the classic corn or cheese dog in the future. - churro mochinut: just a hint of cinnamon and sugar, great if you like subtle flavors, but I would have liked a stronger flavor. After eating the other 2 flavors and returning to this one, I basically couldn't taste any seasoning. - taro mochinut: very sweet with a subtle taro flavor. the fruit loop cereal on top tasted stale and chewy rather than crisp. honestly too sweet for me, personally. - coffee mochinut: also very sweet, true to the coffee flavor. chocolate rice crispy topping was a cute touch, but was also more chewy than crisp. Overall texture of the mochi donuts was too oily for me. Fill Bakeshop still reigns supreme for texture and variety of flavors, but I appreciate that Mochinut offers savory and sweet options. Tucked away in the corner of a little strip mall, you'll find this gem of a place. The GPS had a weird time finding them but I was able to spot their sign from the street. My bf and I came in on a Saturday evening and they were not busy at all. Literally nobody in their except us and the worker. Worker had a jaded little attitude didn't say a word to us really until it was time to pay. Review isn't about her though, it's about these donuts!! We ordered a half dozen which included: Churro, chocolate churro, strawberry funnel cake, hazelnut, maple bacon and lucky charms. To be honest the more plain the flavor the better, that's what we learned. Lucky charms were stale, maple bacon just didn't go with the Mochi texture, and hazelnut was meh. But the strawberry funnel cake was amaaazing! I would def go back for more of that and the chocolate churro. My iced coffee boba drink was yummy as well! It was a Vietnamese style coffee so it was sweet but it also packed a punch! Boba balls were perfectly chewy, not over or undercooked at all. And the packaging was *chefs kiss*! I love mochi donuts. Unfortunately this location was not very good. While the donuts themselves tasted fine, the toppings for all 3 (different) donuts I ordered were extremely soggy and stale.
