Craving for a mochi donut, this is the place to go. Although not too many flavors, it still satisfies the craving. Soft and chewy and a very nice presentation. Very surprised there isn't an extra cost for the specialty mochi donuts. Staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating. Drinks are mediocre because you can tell it's from a powder so nothing extraordinary.

I ordered a cheese dog, with hot cheeses for my daughter. I took a bite of it. It was good. The service was friendly and great. It was busy when I walked in.

Wish they had a little more o variety but overal they are fresh and cute mochi donuts!

What used to be China One, it is now Mochinut! Lots of selections for sure. Lots of parking so no need to worry about parking. The potato cheese with sugar was great. Good crunch, cheese was not as oozy as I would like but the honey mustard made up for it. Mochinuts was great too! Chewy and mochilicious! We got taro, coffee and Oreo! Enjoyed it! Coffee was good! Too bad they ran out of boba when I ordered, but while waiting I heard boba was available again. All in all, it was great! Glad one opened up close by. Definitely would go.

We came here to try this place out for the first time since it's close by our home. We ordered some Korean corndogs and Thai tea. It was all so delicious. My favorite Korean corndog was the potato half and half with hot Cheetos. Super friendly and attending staff. We will definitely be coming here again. I can't wait to try the mochinut next time.

My family and I were in the area and the little ones wanted boba and donuts so Mochinut was a great choice. We placed our order online and it was ready within 15 minutes. The store is located in the corner of this plaza with a good amount of parking space. Store itself isn't too big, seems more of a to go type of store which was fine. My niece said the staff seemed a little slow when she went in to get our order. Donuts and drinks were good, I have had tastier mochinuts but overall it's not bad here. I would recommend stopping by.

    Check out that stretch!!!

Always friendly service. Always tasty treats. I wish they had more interesting flavors, but at least they always have the chocolate churro.

First time at this location and was very impressed. I'm not sure if the same recipe is used for the dough in each donut as the original glaze and Oreo seemed more gooey than the churro one. I prefer them when they are more gooey so those 2 were my favorite. I will come here again when I'm in the area.

Didn't look so good half cheese half corn dog . Definitely looks old Half and Half

Can here with my son about 7:30 I didn't know it will be sold out and they only bake once in the am. But my son wanted to try it .. we didn't have a big selection but ours was actually good , the inside was small but clean and our cashier was helpful. My son ordered the hot Cheetos corn dog I had the half and half plain. I loved the cheese pull but once I see the dog it didn't look fresh since it was cut in half vs my sons full corn dog was perfect

Once and a while, you get a fix to eat a Korean corn dog or a mochi donut and you have to come here. It's a good sign you have to wait for your order because each hotdog is made fresh. Admittedly, because everything is fried there's that inescapable grease feeling, but most of our items have been timed perfectly where it's just crispy on the outside. Love the sauce variety. Staff is also super sweet! There's a community glass wall so you can write on it while you wait and look at the pretty mochi donuts. And there is always a cheese pull!

Chewy yummy mochi donuts! All the flavors are so good! I love the korean corn dog my favorite is the potato half cheese, half hot dog. Their boba and lemonades on a hot day always hit the spot! When I have a craving for mochi donuts this is the place to go to because they always have great service!

Super friendly and quick service every time I've come here! The donuts always look so fresh and taste delicious. It's clean and the music is always on point

I've been to other locations but this was my first time at this one. I was really excited to introduce my friend here. We came in on a weekday and it wasn't busy at all. I got their Half n Half corn dog and 3 mochinuts. They do not sell individual mochinuts. They will only do orders of 3 for $9, 6 for $16.50 or, a dozen for $30. I got two red velvets and one chocolate. The half and half corn dog took 15 minutes to make. It was good except I was very disappointed that the hot dog in it was about an inch long only. I almost thought they messed up my order because I kept eating and eating and all I saw was cheese until I got to the very bottom of it. The hot dog was so small and it was the type you would find in a mini corn dog or pigs in a blanket. The mochinuts were good though. No complaints. This location is more of a pick up spot. There isn't really a spot to hang out since it is pretty small and doesn't have many places to sit. The staff was nice but just took awhile to make my order. Also, he had bagged my mochinuts and almost forgot to give it to me. He also was very confused when I asked for them when my corn dog came out.

    Are the donuts gluten free?

Hello Dan. Unfortunately, our donuts are not completely gluten free. They contain less gluten then your typical donut as a good portion of our donut composition is rice flour.

Do you offer milk substitutions for the drinks?

Hello Anna! We offer oat milk as a substitution on our Brown Sugar Milk Tea, Strawberry Milk Tea, and Peach Milk Tea.

This place isn't on the beach like seaside bakery, but you could grab it to go and drive down to one of the shipyards and have a serene late night picnic nearby. I also saved 20 minutes going here instead of seaside since I'm coming from the 626 area. This place also has inside seating which Seaside does not and you're not freezing in the cold eating your food. Plenty of parking as it is in a small plaza! The area around it can be a bit dark at night so my friend and I were a little spooked. Not sure if they have a public bathroom.

At Long Beach's Sweet Retreat Donuts, that meant limited-edition experimental donut varieties (mostly with tropical flavor profiles), as well as a reliable vegan donut lineup. Clearly, Sweet Retreat has been doing something right, as it's been a Pacific Coast Highway favorite for a decade. Over the years, it has garnered recognition from plenty of local news outlets, from Eater LA to LAist. The cramped strip mall is more eye-catching for its reptile supply store rather than its donut shop. Inside the shop, the expansive, donut-themed cartoon mural to the right immediately makes a statement. Houseplants are plentiful across the otherwise undecorated, whitewashed walls. Donuts are organized on trays by price, with the charge doodled directly onto the glass with a white marker. Ambient noise from the television is drowned out by chattering customers and the buzzing coffee machine. During the summer months, the AC-less shop feels tropically balmy. My partner and I arrived at Sweet Retreat late one Sunday morning, and the shop still boasted a steady stream of customers. By the time of our visit, the remaining selection was regrettably slim -- beyond the standard fare, the most unique donuts sported either candy coating or tropical frosting. We opted for a hibiscus-frosted raised donut and an apple fritter. The former had an excellent donut base, and the hibiscus frosting was floral and tropical (albiet I would have enjoyed a more punchy flavor). Meanwhile, the apple fritter fell on the cinnamon-y side, heavily doused in glaze so that each bite (even the edges) melted in your mouth; Sweet Retreat's rendition was one of my favorites in Greater LA. Our Vietnamese iced coffee was strong and sugary, but nothing more memorable than peer coffeeshops. The service was efficient, and our two donuts cost a reasonable $5 (even frill-free mom-and-pop shops charge in this range nowadays). The selection was sorely lacking, but Sweet Retreat more than made up for that with its high quality and reasonable prices. This bakery may not warrant a dedicated trip out of the way, but it is sure to deliver a satisfying treat if you're already in the neighborhood.

As I entered the parking lot I witnessed a lady hanging out of the window of a car missing a rear bumper, cursing at a minivan that looked like it had recently been involved in a series of hit-and-run crimes. I'm unclear what occurred before I got there, but kept my head down and quickly parked and scurried inside. The entrance had cardboard on the ground laid out like some sort of Oscar the Grouch red carpet. There were two people sitting at the middle two tables with portable shopping carts filled with assorted belongings. The interior matched the rest of neighborhood with random stuff laid out on counter tops, and a general dirty feeling that made me consider whether I wanted to buy food here, but I was already inside. There was a single woman working the counter. She was polite and matter of fact. I had promised my kids donuts, so I ordered my box to go. While she used appropriate tongs to put them in the box, she didn't bother to fully close or seal the box. Just looking to get out of there as quickly as possible, I headed immediately back to my car but was followed by an unknown man shouting at me asking if I could spare a dollar. I quickly fidgeted for my keys and pulled the door closed and locked it behind me. This was at 9am. I cannot imagine this place late at night. The donuts were basic and not overly sweet, more of a fried bread. My kids ate a few bites of each but it wasn't worth the stress of getting them.
