Upon my first bite of a really crispy onion ring, turned out to be a batter coated onion skin. So disappointing and disgusting. So after spending a long day at catalina island, we wanted to grab something to eat on the way home. Lil Gordon Ramsey (My daughter) suggested burgers. I saw this place was suggested by 1 of these food bloggers, so we decided to give them a try. I ordered online at 8:11pm, they were closing at 9, so I figured it was enough time. Get there, immediately disappointment. Soda fountain machine is broken, so only cans of soda. Then we get the order, its missing an order of Cajun fries. Go back in to get it, cashier says, well do you just want a refund, because we are about to close. It was 8:35. I've cooked enough fries in my life to know they would've been done well before 9pm. On top of that, the HALF order of Cajun fries was 10 f*ckin dollars!!! Now, add on to that, the fries we DID get weren't seasoned at all, and were just warm when we got them. This past Sunday 6/1/25 after a local walk fundraiser, we were hungry and ready to eat! We decided to stop by MVP's for lunch. I went with the Michael Jordan Sandwich on squaw bread, and it was sooo good! Everything tasted really fresh and it was made perfectly. My Mom got the #99 Sandwich (the tuna sandwich) and she loved hers too. We shared a basket of cajun fries, and those are definitely a must! Was across the street at Hug Life Ice Cream Shop & seen this place. Went in, I loved the art decor a lot, plenty of seating, very clean. The menu looked like it had been through A LOT! Aha. I got the Shaq, THE BURGER WAS HUGE! I got the sauce on the side because I'm not big on sauce.. and I also got fries and ranch. I ended up adding mustard to the burger when I got home. The burger was so good! SO GOOD! I usually can't eat a burger without pickles BUT I did and enjoyed it. It was so big I didn't even finish it! I gave half to my mom. The fries were good, the ranch was interesting but still did the trick. The burger place is connected to a bar next time I'll dine in instead of to go. Limited drink options. They also have locations on Redondo and 10th and Stearns near Bellflower Blvd. MVP's burger selection, and selection of other sandwiches and food, has something for everyone. The burgers are big and tasty and the service is quick and easy. The George Foreman can be ordered in a variety of ways and is my favorite. The Tony Gwynn (BLT) is also recommended as is the Harry Caray (club sandwich). Either way you can go wrong. Oh and don't forget the fries, you can order them plain or seasoned. It was my first time here, and I didn't know what to expect and I was so happy that we decided to go to MVP's Grill and patio on fourth Street after supporting our friend from an SRNA event. I got the Nadia Comaneci salad and it was amazing. The veggies were so fresh and the dressing is light and just right for my taste. My kind of salad on a hot day. My friend ordered the tuna sandwich and it looked amazing as well. And the cherry on top was the service. The servers were so efficient and prompt! The ingredients are just quality. I didn't eat all day for this burger. I travelled from Vegas to try it again. Trying to find parking is horrible luckily I ubered over.
