Located at 2nd and PCH. There's plenty of seating outside with umbrellas. My friend and I split the turkey sandwich and Caesar sandwich. Both were tasty and quite filling. Prices are average to high.
We got a quick bite before we strolled around, and PCD was right there! It's in the middle of the plaza, and has quite a bit of seating if you have a large group. My gf and I shared a nice Italian sub, and the bread was amazing! Fresh, delicious, and had some great flavors. One sandwich is enough for two people, so be aware! Service was quick and easy, and they also have alcoholic beverages as well :)
I Checked this place out for the first time today. I ordered the pastrami sandwich and it was really good. I really enjoyed my sandwich but this was the priciest sandwich meal that I've ever consumed. It was $26 and some change for the pastrami sandwich, a bag of potato chips and a can of soda. It's literally the same amount that I spent the last time that I dined at a restaurant which included an appetizer, refillable beverage and tip. The location of the sandwich shop and the outdoor dining is perfect, especially if there are any events going on. You get to sit right in the heart of everything. Can't really speak much about the customer service as the interactions with employees are very limited. Since you order on a tablet. The young lady was nice enough to fill my ice up multiple times.
Picked up the Caesar sandwich for lunch, hoping for a classic combo of romaine, shaved parm, and breaded chicken, all "tossed in classic Caesar dressing." Unfortunately, it just didn't come together for me. The dressing was plentiful but surprisingly bland--lacking the punch you usually expect from a good Caesar. The breaded chicken was also quite bland and didn't seem to be tossed in anything, just laid into the sandwich. The bread itself was very floury, which distracted from the already muted flavors. I did appreciate the slice of lemon, as it added a needed brightness, but overall, there just wasn't enough flavor to pull everything together. Wouldn't return for this sandwich, though based on other reviews, there might be better options on their menu.
Not bad. A decent sandwich at a high price point in an area and time where everything is expensive. For all the sandwiches the bread is soft and chewy. Not a huge fan of that, I prefer sandwiches to have some crunch. So if soft and chewy is your jam, you may enjoy this place more than me. Turkey & Brie: Very good quality turkey meat, brie was creamy, this was probably the best sandwich of our order. Pastrami: Decent. However it reminds me of Togo's at twice the price and half the meat, with bread that's too soft. Philly Cheese steak: I should have known better than to order a Philly cheese steak at a place that isn't known for it. I wouldn't order it again, and advise you don't either. Meat was not it. Flavor was more bell paper/fajita than a Philly. Service is basically non-existent in this style of ordering. Why don't they disable the tip function in their Square POS? $65 for 3 sandwiches and 1 bag of chips is definitely on the high side of ANYTHING. It was cool to try, but the outdoor seating in a pop up style environment isn't enough to overcome mid tier sandwiches. They may do their more basic sandwiches better, but these $20 sandwiches fall short.
Potato Chips Deli has officially been added to the sandwich rotation for me and my girlfriend after three visits and six different sandwiches so I feel pretty confident saying this is a solid 4 star spot for sandwich lovers in Long Beach. Between the two of us we've tried Tuna Sandwich - Definitely not your typical mayo heavy tuna. It was more herbaceous and light than creamy, which was a nice change of pace. If you like fresher, brighter tuna instead of rich and gloopy, this one is worth a try. Caprese - Super fresh and creamy and the ingredients themselves were on point. That said, it was missing a bit of seasoning a simple hit of salt, pepper, or some Italian seasoning would've taken it from "good" to "great." Turkey Sandwich - This was just a really good turkey sandwich. Simple, classic, and well executed. Definitely our #2 favorite so far. BLT - Our biggest miss. For such an iconic sandwich this version felt a little too basic and underwhelming compared to everything else we tried. Chicken Parm - A great option when you're in the mood for something hot and comforting. The sauce and cheese combo hit the spot and it was a fun switch up from the cold sandwiches. This lands at #3 on our list. Italian Sandwich - The star of the show. Perfect balance of flavor and acidity with all the right textures going on. This is hands down our #1 sandwich here and the one I'd recommend first if it's your first visit. On top of the sandwiches their chip selection is FIRE tons of fun options that make it feel like you're building a full snack experience not just grabbing a quick bite. The drink selection is solid too and I've got to give extra love for having sparkling apple juice as an option. Little things like that make it stand out. Service has been consistently chill and low key on all three visits nothing over the top but friendly enough and they get the job done. Overall as a sandwich stand Potato Chips Deli deliver good quality ingredient, a couple of standout sandwiches (get the Italian!), fun chip and drink choices, and casual no frills vibes. Still a little room for refinement (seasoning on some sandwiches, more exciting BLT), but we'll definitely keep coming back to work our way through the menu it's 4 stars from us.
Great spot to grab lunch, especially if you're in between shopping. This is a walk up vendor where you can order your food and sit down in the open seating area in 2nd & PCH. I ordered the turkey sandwich due to the staff persons recommendation. The sandwich was solid! I loved the balsamic vinaigrette and aioli it comes with. However, for the price, you would think it would be the best sandwich I ever had and it was $18.50 for just a decent sandwich. Didn't even come with chips and a drink. Everything is a la carte. Good, but overpriced. There's better places to get sandwiches for cheaper, but this is convenient and worth a try.
Love the vegetarian sandwich! The balsamic vinegar adds a great flavor! Good size, normally save half for dinner and pair with jalapeño chips!
I ordered for delivery because I wanted to try something new. I decided on turkey and added bacon for an additional cost. The sandwich arrived to my home promptly and secured in a stapled bag. The sandwich was quite large which was great because of the expense. The bread was warm soft and chewy. The quality of food. was great and delicious. It felt fresh and nutritious and satisfied my hunger. I will definitely be back to try other things. Yum
I came to this great shopping center on a Sunday afternoon. Do they even call them shopping centers anymore? My review for this place is actually 4.5 stars, but you can't do that so I just wanted to mention it here. My friend had a turkey sandwich and I had the brie sandwich. Both sandwiches were delicious according to the eater. The bread is top-notch. My sandwich had apples, arugula, and an aïoli as well as the turkey and the brie. They have two varieties of chips there, and I was really impressed with the Zapp's mustard chips. I bought a bag to take home as well as a salt and vinegar bag. The sandwiches are well constructed with an even amount of toppings. They hold together well. I would like to try one of their lettuce wrapped sandwiches next time. The price is right. The service was good and the sandwiches came out quickly. They have a large variety of nonalcoholic beverages for sale. There is a beer hut right next-door. I believe it's Beachwood, a very tasty brand. As far as ambience, it's a beautiful outdoor mall with many varieties of stores. Nice seating available outside. Upstairs is a fancy restaurant, A PCH and there are other indoor restaurants upstairs.

Great sandwiches, the bread and meats. Today we ordered Tuna Sandwiches. I ordered them without any fresh veggies (due to what's gping on right now). I waa a bit worried they woukd taste boring. Lots of flavor! Great tuna salad with pickles and capers! Their bread is amways ao fresh! Amazing as it's not made onsite! Details.. .. Came here for a quick solo lunch on a Wednesday around noon. .. Ordered the Brie Special (turkey, brie, caramelized onion, granny apple, aioli, arugula, olive oil, & balsamic vinegar). I asked for no balsamic. pros.. .. Service was quick & efficient. My order was taken right away & I was told it'd be about 7-10 minutes but I probably got my sandwich in 5 minutes. .. Plenty of well maintained seating. .. The bread was surprisingly delicious. It looks dense & carby, but is actually very light has a good crunch while still being soft on the inside. Most importantly, it didn't cut up my mouth! It also felt freshly toasted or baked. .. The turkey was good quality & I liked that the brie was slightly warmed. cOns.. .. Parking to get here is a bit of a pain, but the structures do offer 90 minutes free. .. Although I did like the individual ingredients, the sandwich as a whole was lacking for the price. This stand is located in the 2nd & PCH complex (free parking for 90 minutes). I came here for a late lunch recently. The woman working here was very bubbly and friendly. I ordered a pastrami sandwich and a bottle of Coke then took a seat in the patio area (there is no indoor seating). Five minutes later my sandwich was brought to the table I was sitting at. The bread was fresh, the pastrami very tender and tasty. The pastrami is from Russak's, the same provider of pastrami to Langer's, so you know it's top quality. The swiss cheese, mustard, and relish all added to the overall "wow factor" of this sandwich. The pickle relish allowed that pickle flavor to be present in every bite. Prices were on the high side (I'm sure their lease is expensive in this complex). Note: the menu photos - as are most all menu photos on Yelp - don't show accurate pricing; prices go up over time especially during a recession. read more
This little deli is located in the outside mall on 2nd and PCH. Never even knew it existed until today. Parking is inside the mall area. It's 90 minutes free and I believe like $2 per 20mins or so after that. It was my birthday weekend and I wanted to try a new place for lunch. My wife and I ordered 2 sandwiches, one Italian and the other was a special of the day, I can't recall the name but it had turkey, apple and brie and it was AMAZING! The you girl at the counter was very helpful, she highly recommended to get the sandwiches with the pickle relish and hots. She was right, it really made the sandwiches even tastier. The area in which they are located is dog friendly, we saw more dogs here than at then local dog park. You can also pick.a seat and oder from the table, they will bring it right out to you. read more

I'm almost mad at how delicious this sandwich is. It's not fair. I ordered the turkey sandwich with Brie and it's life changing. This is the best sandwich I have ever had. The aioli is sharp and flavorful and the turkey and veggies are very fresh. The baguette that this monster of a sandwich is on is the perfect crispy exterior and soft interior. THE SLICES OF BRIE are huge and so buttery. Now I need to try the entire menu but it will be hard to top this read more
Stopped by here and picked up a pastrami sandwich $14.99 and a bag of jalapeños chips $2.99. Sandwich was really good. The bread was soft and fresh. Waited about less than 10 mins and got my order. Friendly service. There are many outdoor tables if you want to eat there. Definitely will come back to try their other sandwiches. read more
Saw this place while walking around the 2nd and Pch outdoor mall area and I am a sucker for a great sandwich and my go to is roast beef. What scares me is when the horseradish is strong so I asked the girl taking the order how it was and I appreciate her honesty on say sue didn't know lol so I said can I just get Mayo then? Sure she said Service was very quick and the sandwich was simple but very tasty! ADDED: I pride myself on giving honest feedback and my opinion on Yelp. I think that's what makes a true yelp ELITE. The lack of professionalism in the owners response is reason enough to not return. I am not the only one he has responded to in a smart way. Take criticism and make a opportunity to change. Also please see attached for the proof that the menu does not state this. Thank you Yelp for giving me a voice to help my community. ------------------------------------------------------ I was excited to try this place as the reviewers lead me to believe it was delicious... but it was not... in fact it was the worst tuna sandwich I've ever tasted. I tried to give benefit of doubt but my mother too agreed. For $18, yes, $18 I received a sandwich and bag of chips. The price threw me off but I thought the quality would make up for it. I was greeted by a less than welcoming lady. Wasn't great but wasn't horrible Now on to this sandwich. The best part was the bread. But the tuna was atrocious. First who puts capers in tuna?! And they were plentiful. Looking past that I don't see how a sandwich could be so flavorless and nasty. I tested adding condiments to cover the taste but nothing worked. So I'm the trash it went. I'd been waiting to try this place for about a month. Every time I was near, I was never close enough. Today, today I am glad that I stopped by to visit Arcelia and the crew. This sandwich was everything that I hoped it would be. The bread was perfectly crisp on the outside yet soft on the inside. I was more than satisfied with the amount of meat, veggies, and condiments on the sandwich. The flavor was on point in less than seven minutes!!! Arcelia said my order would be ready in seven minutes and handed it to me in five, WOW!!!! I can't wait to try more from these folks read more

This place was so delicious! The service was great and quick. I ordered the chicken Milanese & tuna. The garli. Aioli in the chicken Milanese was AMAZING. The tuna had a nice surprise with capers (I was very excited). The ciabatta bread was honestly my favorite part. It was nice and airy and chewy but had a great crunch to its exterior. It's right in the center of 2nd & PCH with cute tables and chairs surrounding it. You could also take it anywhere around 2nd & PCH and enjoy. Can't wait to go back and try other sandwiches! read more
