Had a great dinner here with my family. It's a casual, New American-type of eatery. Tasty but won't make you feel like crap after. Tried the seared sea bass and Mediterranean summer crunch salad from their seasonal menu. Bass was fresh and flaky and great with lemon and the garlic aioli. The salad was SO good and my favorite dish of the meal. Also tried the En Fuego burger with it's crispy bacon and the beef empanada which was delicious with the chimichurri sauce. Im the type of person that likes burgers from fast food joints. I havent had a good burger from a non-fast food restaurant until i tried one of the burgers from bushfire. Their regular cheeseburger (i dont remember the name) was quite yummy. I tried another burger that had some "spice" to it (also forgot the name), but i wouldnt get that again because there was a lot going on. Overall, the burgers are hit or partial misses. Their fries are also very delish, crispy, and come in a decent portion. Although, i dont like the aoili that comes with the fries. Something about the aoili does not match well with the fries in my opinion, and i normally LOVE sauces. Honestly, the fries are better off without any sauce besides ketchup. read more

I love this place. Everything they do, they do well. And quality ingredients, seasonal item additions, gluten free and vegetarian options, Really lovely staff, too. I opted for the new sea bass plate, but changed out the sides. I appreciate that they have good vegetable side dishes as well as some of the more standard fare. My daughter got the trip top bowl. She also tried the pomegranate lemonade. They also have craft sodas, beer and wine! We ordered at the counter and the food was brought to our table within a reasonable time. We were there at 5pm and only a few tables were dining. They have a nice patio but it was steamin' hot outside so everyone was inside the restaurant. The staff regularly checked on us to make sure everything was fine. My fish was delicious. A small portion but the sides were so generous I did not leave hungry. The tri -tip was prepared perfectly and roasted vegetables and mashed potatoes were perfect with it. Prices are good for what you receive. Fresh ingredients & tasty food. They have lots of options. You pay when you order and they bring your food out to you. Ample Parking, restroom could use a little tidying up and so can the outside patio it was busy with tables needing some tlc but maybe they were busy and short staffed ...who knows. They have healthy options and I love and live for that! Salmon was my go to salad with the strawberries but not a fan of the feta cheese. (It reminds me like blue cheese). Anywho, I should have read slowly & carefully that it had feta cheese but to my defense I didn't order it my significant other ordered it for me (bless his little heart). Nevertheless, I recommend coming here, inside seating and patio seating. There's a sprouts, laundromat & other places to check out in that shopping center. I was very excited to try this place ever since The Marketplace Grill near the traffic circle closed a few years ago as I loved that place! This is an order at the counter type of place so there are no paper menus (billboard). We decided on the surf & turf (23.95) which included a small skinless salmon filet, 4 slices of tri tip, two sides, and a piece of bread. Everything was of good quality but lacked flavor (I got the garlic mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts). We also ordered a glass of cab each (9.50). With the 2 entrees and 2 glasses of wine it came to almost 74 bucks! I understand everything is super expensive these days, but being this is an order at the counter type of establishment you'd think it would be a tad bit less expensive. I'd like to try this place again during happy hour with 50% off wine and beer and a selection of 4 food items at discounted prices. Service was ok (not the friendliest but not the worst). Stopped by Bushfire Kitchen after using the car wash in the next plaza over. Purchased their gaucho steak sandwich ($15), fries ($5), beef empanada ($5), and soda ($4). The beef empanada had a nice crispy crust, but, per my preferences, it was very lightly seasoned and it was served with their "house made chimichurri", which was more an herby aioli. The fries were my favorite item in the meal as they were crispy and perfectly seasoned. The steak sandwich was served on nice ciabatta bread with tons of their "chimichurri"; however, the tri tip was too tough, lightly marbled, and too lightly seasoned. There was a thin slice of tomato and a very small amount of grilled onion. Overall, I came for the steak sandwich, but I wanted more balance to the lean tritip with more acidity (which one would normally get with a properly acidic chimichurri) and fresh vegetables (onion/tomato/peppers), which would have made a huge difference. If their entrees came with a small side, then I would have maybe perceived better value. read more

I attended a holiday party here and had a great time. The restaurant has an outdoor patio which you can reserve and was a great location for our party. Everyone was able to order independently, so there was no need for splitting checks after, and they let us bring in our own desserts. The staff were outstanding - incredibly welcoming of our group, helpful when ordering, and came through regularly to check on us, take orders for more drinks, and ensure everyone was happy. I ordered the chicken curry bowl with mashed potatoes and butternut squash. It was good (and enough to take leftovers home) but could have used more veggies. I'm not sure if you can add multiple toppings, but I think with the mixed veggies as well as squash this would have been great. My first time here and it was very good. Great options for anyone looking to eat healthier with lots of flavor! If you have dietary restrictions there are many options as well. Lulu our server was so sweet. We ordered our food at the counter, they gave us a number then brought us our food when it was ready. We sat outside on the patio since it was a warm day. I had a bowl with brown rice, fresh kale, grilled chicken, beets, roasted broccoli with lemon tahini dressing. It was delicious and very filling. The kiddos got chicken strips & fries. My friend got a greek salad with grilled chicken and her hubby got the Peri Peri Chicken Plate. We were all very happy with our food. There is plenty of seating inside and outside on the patio (which is covered to keep the sun off your head). My wife and I were out doing errands and had wanted to give Bushfire a try. Overall, we were both very satisfied with our burgers. She got a veggie burger, and I had their El Fuego burger. Cooked medium perfectly, mine also had peppers and a pepper aioli that gave it a little kick. We were both scouting it out too as a potential after work spot for her book club or for happy hour with coworkers. The menu and drinks are perfectly fine, but the indoor seating makes it tough for parties of 6-8 people. There's an outdoor patio which would be better when it's warmer. read more

Disappointed. Expected better from pics and high rating but poor execution on reheated food will mark this my first and last visit to any of their locations. Overcooked chicken is a no-no anywhere. But a place that came up on my search as a gastropub? Yikes! Even worse, it wasn't even fresh! If they had overcooked my chicken fresh, it would've been hot. But this was pre-overcooked then heated up to lukewarm before being given to me. I believe that is the case because the alternative is worse. Sad. Quick aside: maybe they cooked my chicken fresh and over cooked it then still served it to me lukewarm. It's possible. That would be just as disturbing, I just went with my gut reaction above. Bbq sauce was cheap but tangy - maybe to cover up inability to properly cook chicken? By "cheap", you can taste the quality of the ingredients easily and tell it's just so-so sauce but it helped me get through the chewy chicken so I'll give it a pass The squash was good - nice temp, softness and flavor. Mixed veggies looked like they came out of a bag and were not hot plus had inconsistent crunchiness to individual veggies that made me wonder what that mess was so I left it alone after a quick bite. The bread was fine but definitely unremarkable. And then the bar fly that wouldn't leave me alone - I'm at a table far from the bar where you see these critters most often (hence the name) so seeing one at my table makes me believe they don't clean well. Sad there was only counter service - I felt the website led me to believe there was bar seating but whatever. The tables were fine, bar fly not fine, numbered signs should be replaced - they are worn out and made improperly to hold up to regular use. My server, Michael, was a delight - he didn't know much about the beer but he was polite, seemed to genuinely care, and very friendly. If you do visit, I hope you get to experience him and his easy smile - he was the best part of my visit! I won't be back but at least I tried :) read more

This place was great. None of us are familiar with Long Beach area but were going to the playhouse for the first time. I found this place and it was not a disappointment. It was perfect for a before show meal. I got turkey pesto sandwich. I told the people I was with it tasty "healthy" lol but not in a bad way my fat self is just used to cheese and all that other stuff but it was still a good sandwich. My partner got American Burger which enjoyed very much. I tasted a piece and said mmm smoky. Oh how could I forget the delicious beef empanada. I ate it before I even took a picture! It was so good and that chimichurri sauce was so unique. I have never had a thick and creamy chimichurri and it was delicious. His bff got a fish plate which was enjoyed. Finally we each got lemonade. That homemade lavendar hisbiscus *chefs kiss* The customer service was top notch. Wish I would have gotten his name but he was awesome. He asked when we wanted our cookies and said he would bring them. When he did bring them they were warm and so so good. Soft and gooey with slightly crisper edges just delicious. This is seriously the best food ever! My fiancé and I were passing by on our way to the Yard House, but so hungry that we just stopped here to give them a try. We almost went to the Habit who I think shares their parking lot, but I'm so glad I told my fiancé to try this place since we had never heard of it. The young lady cashier (Taija) in the front was really sweet. She welcomed us in with a kind, gentle voice that reminds you of a caring nurse or teacher. She told us to let her know if we had any questions. I told her it was our first time here so she pointed out how there were rectangles on the menu that were favorite items. I am gluten-free and was excited to see they have gluten-free buns. I ordered their American burger (a favorite item) with a gluten-free bun and no cheese. I also got sweet potato fries on the side and a fountain drink (iced tea). She offered to put ketchup and some fancy sauce they have on the side for my fries and I just opted for the fancy sauce (cannot recall name but it was mayo based). My fiancé got the tri-tip sandwich, fries and a drink too. Right when I tried their iced tea I told my fiancé he just had to try it. He did and we agreed it was really exceptional! It tasted like some higher quality tea that you'd expect at tea houses. Plus they had stevia, which is my sweetener of choice. The restaurant was clean and we got our food fast. I could not believe how good the sweet potato fries were and the meat on my burger. I made my fiancé tried both then proclaimed they were the best I ever had. He agreed with me especially in the meat. I don't know what they put in it but, they are doing a perfect job in the kitchen. Couldn't be better! We live like an hour away but my fiancé and I want to come back here when we go to the beach hopefully soon. We are so glad we came here instead of going to the Yard House. Their food is just so much better! And all their employees are quite nice. Whoever is training them on customer service skills is doing a stellar job. Nothing was overcooked and the chicken was shredded breast meat. Mac and cheese - good cheese sauce but the noodles are too think. They should reconsider the choice for better sauce to starch ratio. New restaurant in the updated Sprouts shopping center by the Traffic Circle. Part of a small chain that gets great reviews. It's located behind The Habit, on the Ximeno side. Plenty of parking. You order at the counter and then your food is brought to your table. Drinks are self-served. They also offer beer and wine. Food is served on plates with flatware for utensils, nice touch. They offer a Happy Hour (half-priced beers) 7-days a week along with some food items. Service was excellent at the counter, the servers bringing out the food, and several checking on us during dining. For food, we ordered one items off the Happy Hour menu, Garlic Parm Fries, excellent, a bit pricey $10 but a very generous serving! We ordered the California Burger and BBQ Tri-tip Sandwich to go with the fries. The burger and sandwich were okay, not amazing. There are so many hot sandwiches and burgers on the menu, but honestly I think the bowls, salads, and plates may be a better way to go, especially with some of their sides (i.e. Grandma's Mac & Cheese). The sandwich and burger was served on a huge plate but without any sides. The price for each $14 plus) seem a bit high without a side, but generous portions. We ordered a Blueberry Empanada for dessert. Very tasty. Definitely plan to order empanadas on our next visit. Plenty of seating inside and a very large outdoor patio. The overall experience was definitely a four... But I don't think we'll return any time soon with so many options in the area. The restaurant was very new, clean and inviting. The food was fresh and my family enjoyed most of their meals except our teriyaki bowl sauce was nothing like teriyaki at all, but the chicken breast was cooked perfectly, the jasmine rice was fluffy and my brussels sprouts were good. I've seen this spot form up in recent months, and today we decided to check it out. It's a nice clean place with comfortable chairs and plenty of space between tables. It's an order at the counter kind of place so you'll get a number and utensils after you order. You walk in and get a look at what they have on tap. Right above that is the menu, and I already knew what I was getting. Especially with the right kind of beer. My partner had the gaucho steak sandwich with chimichurri that she said made it better. I had the American burger with fries and it was pretty good. The burger originally comes solo, so that you can choose something other than fries. I decided to get their roasted mixed veggies and they were good but need a little more seasoning in my opinion. I'll definitely go back to try more stuff. The French fries are the best I've ever had, and I'm an experienced fry-lover. They were crunchy on the outside and fluffy inside. The seasoning is phenomenal. They provide an ample quantity that beg to be finished, no matter the one's level of fullness. The gaucho sandwich was equally unique and delicious. I led with the fries because they were so remarkably great, but the tender tri tip with grilled onions, tomato and chimichurri on a fresh ciabatta was one of the best sandwiches I've ever tasted. Our boss treated us to lunch at work and had bushfire kitchen delivered to us! I ordered the chicken and beef empanadas, a side of chimichurri sauce and Greek salad. The empanadas on the outside had a nice crunch and inside were very flavorful. The greek salad was a salad lol the dressing had a stronger vinegar taste. It wasn't my favorite and wouldn't order that again. I wanted the lavender lemonade but they didn't have it at the time but the house lemonade was a good substitute! read more

So grateful I discovered this little spot! I've only had a couple of items, but the food is fresh and tasty and I particularly appreciate the outdoor seating. I don't entirely love ordering at the counter - frankly, it sort of belies how good the food actually is - but it's effecient enough and they do bring it to the table. My favorite menu item is the salmon bowl, hands down, especially on a bed of delicious garlic mashed! Stopped here based off a co worker's recommendation! We were greeted by Esmeralda who had wonderful energy and made us feel so welcome. It was very clean inside and they even had outside seating too. It was a bit too hot so my fiancée and I took advantage of the cool A/C while waiting for our togo order haha. My Fiancée ordered the Miso Salmon Crunch Bowl and I ordered the Surf & Turf Plate with a side of the Miso Broccoli and Umami Fries.
