    Pastrami

I love sandwiches and I was so excited to try this deli. We got two sandwiches. Pastrami and tuna. My husband loved his pastrami sandwich. Flavor was good. I had the tuna, and sadly I felt robbed. Flavor of the tuna was good however I had very little tuna. More lettuce than anything. Also bread was dry . Paying almost $50 for two sandwiches was a big disappointment! I don't mind paying for a good sandwich but this place needs to do better if prices are so high.

We're always on the hunt for a food sandwich and Yelp lead us here! When in Long Beach, one of the first things you thing about is parking. There was plenty of parking on the street and the parking lot. When you enter, there are long tables for larger parties on the left, and smaller tables for two on the right. They serve beer and wine. We didn't imbibe, but everyone else seemed to enjoying themselves. Their sandwich selection is solid. Something for everyone. I ordered the Dilly (Cucumber, avocado, peppers, sprouts and cream cheese on sweet bread) and hubby got the Hot Pastrami. Vegan cream cheese is available, but I like the real thing!

Have been following this place since they were still renovating the location, so I was long overdue for a visit. As a pickle lover, the name alone had my full attention. This is a cool little spot tucked right into the middle of a cute, warm neighborhood. The gentleman who helped us was very friendly and welcoming. We ordered one cold and one hot sandwich to try, and the bonus? They have beers from local breweries on tap--yay! He even recommended two beers based on what we like, and both were great. Each sandwich comes with a pickle, and let me tell you, those pickles did not disappoint. They also have board games available, making it an all-around cozy, chill spot to grab lunch and enjoy a fresh cold beer.

Another great visit to Dilly's. One of our favorites sandwich spots for a weekend lunch! We ordered the Hot Turkey Sandwich (limited Holiday Special). OMG so delicious. We decided to split the dandwich knowing Dilly's generous portions (we often leave with a whole sandwich when we order two and enjoy later!) and didn't think this sandwich would make a good leftover! Turkey, stuffing, and cranberry relish on grilled ciabatta. It was the perfect combination and paired well with the ciabtta! The breads at Dilly's are the best! We added a side of potato salad, again generous portion and fed us both! Price points are great especially the quality and quantity they provide. We both ordered and beers and very pleased with the offerings ate our selection. The staff knows their beers! Super nice staff. They greet you upon arrival, check on you while dining, and greet you when you leave. Very service oriented! We look forward to our next visit!

Hot Beef Sandwich was amazing! Overall cute vibe in this neighborhood. Beers on tap, plenty of seating. We were greeted right away and given great communication on when our order would be ready. I thought the Reuben was only okay. With tip, we got 2 sandwiches, 2 bags of chips and it was $53. It seems pricey for a sandwich place but if you don't mind price it's worth trying out.

FOOD: I have been eager to try Dilly's. I had the turkey sandwich, my friend had the pastrami sandwich and we also tried the chili. I liked my sandwich, but felt there were too many peppers on it. The turkey was fresh, smoky and delicious. I didn't try the pastrami sandwich, but it looked good and my friend kept commenting on how delicious the pickle was. I really liked the chili. There are no beans and it comes with a nice slice of toasted bread. I chose sourdough. I also had an IPA from ISM brewery. It was refreshing. I was really impressed by their beer wall. SERVICE: the service was friendly and professional. Shout out to Rory. Lots of people came in for dine in and takeout. Everybody looked very happy. AMBIENCE: I love this little area of Long Beach. The restaurant is very cute inside but the chairs suck.

PERFECT FOR A HOT DAY I'm the type of dude that walks around Disney with a pickle and tajin. Perfect for pickle lovers, everything has a tinge of pickle. I got the turkey. Huge tender chunks of turkey lathered in some type of dill aioli. It's massive, but really good. Comes with a side pickle. Worth 15 bucks. Plenty of parking around and a chill environment. I'll be back.

Let's be real saving the other half of that turkey sandwhich for later ended up being the snack on the way back home because it was sooo good. I rarely crave sandwhiches, but these had me thinking about going back for more for days. The texture and flavor of everything was just so PERFECTLY BALANCED. I could literally eat here everyday! The turkey sandwhich was my favorite! Something about that combo with the dilly spread & creamy avocado & crunchy pepperocini! Also, I actually enjoyed the peanut butter and sweet pickle sandwhich because they used that good crunchy peanut butter and the pickles were soaked in a nutmeg and cinnamon brine so it added the perfect juicy crunch & flavor to cut the thick gooey peanut butter. Next time I'll definitely follow Courtney's way with adding bacon to it! I'm just imagining if it had candied bacon or even a caramelized bacon jam to make it a pb&J‍ would satisfy any pregnant woman's cravings & even hangovers too. They have weekly events for family & friends & I was told that their beer selections are amazing! Thank you to the owner Rory & the employee Courtney for hosting methey were so welcoming and I'll definitely be back for that turkey sandwhich & more! Ig/tiktok/youtube:@rachiesayang : 1. Got their hot Ruben sandwich and beef sandwich and both were really good! I personally enjoyed their beef sandwich more because it came with horseradish sauce which was so good! The sandwiches came out hot and delicious and was perfectly crispy. They put so much meat inside these!! The potato salad was also great! Very flavorful and creamy! The pickles were big and juicy! The place is really huge inside so lots of seating and it is pickle themed so really cute! Would recommend this place!

This is our 3rd or 4th time here and each time we're very happy with our experience. I have celiac so I need to eat gluten free and they both have GF bread and mark gluten allergy where they prepare your sandwich on a separate cutting board. The owner was working the counter and he's super friendly. Oh and gf bread is not an upcharge :)

Popped in here on a Tuesday afternoon absolutely starving, and walked out seriously impressed. First off the space is huge tons of seating, good lighting, and a really fun, laid back atmosphere. They've got games and activities all around, which immediately makes it feel more like a neighborhood hangout than just a sandwich shop. You can tell it's a place that's meant to bring people together. The owner was awesome super friendly, welcoming, and gave great menu recommendations. You can tell they genuinely care about the experience here. I went with the Tuna Sandwich and the Hot Dog of the Month, and both hit the spot. The tuna was fresh, flavorful and the hot dog had that creative twist that makes you want to come back just to see what they'll feature next month. It's not just about the food though Dilly's feels like a community spot. It's the kind of place where you can bring friends, grab a cold beer on tap, catch a game, or challenge your friends to some games. I even found out they do a trivia night as well as football Sunday which seals the deal for me. All in all, great food, great service, great vibe. Whether you're coming for a quick lunch or planning to hang out for a few hours Dilly's Sandwiches is one of those Long Beach gems that just gets it right. I'll definitely be back next time with friends and an empty stomach!

What a fabulous place. The portions are huge. This is half of a BLAT it so delicious. I'm coming back to try there Turkey.

I think it is way too doughy compared to typical focaccia. I like my focaccia airy, with some bounce. This one was like a dense bread. Definitely not my forte for having focaccia. You're able to see in my attached photo just how thick and dense it looks. The salmon bowl itself was pretty refreshing. I think the dresssingggg was perfectly tailored to the bowl. Not too acidic, not too sweet, not too salty. It dressed the bowl up real nice. The salmon was tender, nicely cooked, not chewy-- I hate when I get cheewwwyyy salmon I want fish not gum. The rice and sweet potatoes were perfect! Absolutely a nice bed made for the salmon to lay on. I tried the Shirley temple it's way too sweet, more grenadine than anythang. I just optd for half unsweetened tea & half of their lemonade. It was average. The cranberry cookie was pretty good! Not something I usually lean towards but I was wowd to taste how good it was. Cranberry gave it that nice kick of tang on your tongue. Service was friendly, I ordered through the kiosk screen. It's clean inside and in the restroom as well. Plenty of parking in the plaza.

Once open, I was ready to check out Mendocino Farms for the first time. The menu at Mendocino Farms consists primarily of sandwiches, salads & soup. After a quick perusal, I thought the Peruvian Steak sandwich best whet my appetite. Peruvian Steak sandwich- Spicy aji amarillo marinated steak with Oaxacan cheese, herb aioli, red onions, tomatoes, shredded romaine on a toasted potato roll. I quite liked this. Tender steak, with fatty cheese. The vegetables provided contrast & texture. For my purchase, I went with a side of Southern Potato Salad. It was good, but similar to grocery deli potato salad. In hindsight, I should've purchased avocado added to my Peruvian Steak sandwich. Service was excellent. All hands were on deck, as Mendocino Farms opened only a few days prior. Each employee had a name badge, specifying their name & which entree was their favorite, helping indecisive customers choose what to get. Plenty of seating indoors & al fresco. Parking is at LBX, with Mendocino Farms being across Georgia's and facing the Hangar at LBX. I found the Peruvian Steak sandwich delicious, yet meager in quantity, considering the regular price. It's more of a substantial snack, than a full meal, in my case. However, it's great to have another quality food option in the area, and I look forward to coming back & exploring the rest of menu.

A little more crisp on the bottom would've made a big difference. I also tried their Sicilian grandma-style focaccia pizza, and honestly, that was a huge letdown. It had this dusty, raw flour taste right away, was dry and spongy, and way overpowered with Parmesan. It just didn't come together at all--pretty disappointing, especially for the price. If you stick to strictly vegetarian items you may be in good shape but there are lots of vegan ingredients in their menu options.
