    Salmon bowl
    Jennifer C.

I came here for the first time earlier this week and tried the salmon bowl. It came with a complementary piece of their focaccia bread. Since it was my first visit, I also received a complementary cookie. I was so impressed by both the food and staff, and told my adult kids about it. My son and I came back today, and he was equally impressed. He had the Santa Maria barbecue chicken sandwich that included a side salad, and I opted for the limited-time offering of the barramundi bowl. The food is exceptional, very tasty with fresh and healthy ingredients. The cookies are amazing and the perfect end to a great meal. Both times, the entire staff was so friendly and helpful. They also have an app for placing orders and earning rewards. We will definitely be back often. It is such a better option for a comparable price, than greasy fast food.

We came here around lunchtime right before the rush which was about 12pm. There were only 2 tables left outside. The guy at the register was helpful when I asked him about their new fish sandwich. I ended up ordering that and the ahi tuna salad. I was really impressed with the sandwich. The fish was wonderfully seasoned and the slaw was nice and tangy. I really enjoyed the pickled onion in every bite. We also would order the ahi tuna salad again. We left very satisfied with our meal. Oh, and I love their root beer fountain drink! I plan on coming back again very soon.

BIRTHDAY MONTH=BIRTHDAY COUPONS=HAPPY RODNEY Free cookie for Rewards members Urbane Cafe opened earlier this year, and I made sure to sign up for their Rewards to take advantage of birthday perks. After having a sandwich at Ike's, sushi & a cocktail at Sosogu, a Michelob Ultra at Georgia's, and churros a la mode at Silverlake Ramen, Urbane Cafe rounded out the last stop at LBX to hit up. Ordering a chocolate chip cookie via the self-service kiosk, an employee quickly swiped up one of their sinfully sweet delights, and chocolatey goodness was within my grasp in no time. Service was great. A good amount of customers were entering the restaurant, and the staff kept the line moving, the entire time. Urbane Cafe is located on the right of the main entrance (McGowen St.) of the LBX, next to For Eyes. A free cookie ain't too shabby, at all. Urbane Cafe brought birthday cheers for me, and I appreciate it. I'm anticipating coming back, and exploring the rest of the menu.

Came in to give Urbane Cafe a try and had their chimichurri steak sandwich. The sandwiches are served over focaccia. This sandwich came with a cranberry aioli, chimichurri sauce, arugula, and thin slices of beef. I thought the creamy and tangy flavors were good and balanced, but I would have enjoyed it a little more if the sandwich was warm and if there were more texturally crispy bits. I'd probably order the southwest chicken next time. As I consider options for sandwiches, per yelp's scale, Urbane Cafe would be "OK" - 3 stars - for me.

A nice, hidden gem amongst a crowd of big chains. I came here on a recommendation from my sister for healthy, delicious sandwiches with a unique twist of flavors and options and I can say I was definitely impressed! The food is great and the staff are pleasant to work with. There's a great selection of food and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients with each bite. I personally got the sweet chili crunch chicken and that was a flavor bomb of different tastes that blended well together. It definitely tasted great and I would recommend it. The location itself is in the middle of the LBX area, almost hidden amongst all of the big name chains that surround it. But definitely not a place to skip over, give this place a shot! There are multi height seating inside as well as an outdoor seating patio. Parking is plentiful as it's the LBX lot but also it's low car friendly for you car folks out there. Definitely recommend trying it out. Will come back again!

This spot is my go-to after a sauna session. I always order through the app, which makes ordering quick and convenient. I usually get the salmon bowl, but recently I've been switching it up with the cilantro chicken salad. The salmon bowl is packed with flavor--BBQ-glazed salmon, mixed whole-grain rice, marinated kale, roasted sweet potatoes, edamame, a lemon wedge, and a sweet chili aioli drizzle. A couple of times, though, the rice was a bit undercooked, which was disappointing. That's what led me to try the cilantro chicken salad instead. The cilantro chicken salad comes with marinated cilantro chicken, chopped salad mix, avocado, corn and black bean salsa, mozzarella cheese, and cilantro vinaigrette, plus fresh-baked focaccia bread on the side. The salad is really good, but I do wish it came with a bit more chicken--the portion feels small for the size of the bowl. I've also ordered cookies a few times. The double chocolate is my favorite. I tried the cranberry white chocolate as well, but it was too sweet and doughy for my taste. If you use the app and accumulate points, one of the rewards is a free cookie, which is a nice bonus.

I ordered on the app so I could get a free cookie! Cranberry Brie sandwich with Tomato Bisque, Salmon Bowl with Focaccia Bread, and Cranberry White Chocolate, Oatmeal Raisin and Chocolate Chip cookies. Everything tasted fresh and I felt that items were made with care. The restaurant was clean inside and out. Order taker and manager both greeted me and seemed friendly.

Tried this place out today for the first time. We ordered two different sandwiches and split them so we could each try. They were both very good. The bread was super fresh! I didn't care for the salad that came with it, well, it was the dressing I didn't like. In talking with my friend (she dines here sometimes) she told me I can ask for a different dressing and that the cilantro lime dressing is really good. So I would try that next time... or maybe upgrade to a different side as that is an option too (I asked one of the workers after the fact). My husband decided to get a cookie for us to share before we left. We had the salted chocolate chip and it was delightful. Rich and delicious!

Let me start with I absolutely positively love Urbane Cafe sandwiches. I went to school in San Diego and I was a 2 minute walk from an Urbane and ate there basically once a week. Urbane's sandwiches are absolutely delicious. I love the chimichurri sandwich and the southwest chicken sandwich the best, but all of them are really really good. They come with a simple side salad but I really love that side salad. It's the perfect complement. I also love their chicken tortilla soup. I always have to throw more hot sauce in it, but it's very solid. The focaccia bread is unique and super tasty. It works great with all of their sandwiches. This was the first time I've ever tried one of their "bowls". I have to say, I'm not the world's biggest fan of the bowl. It's a really solid choice, definitely a very healthy bowl, but it didn't have quite the same flavors as I'm used to from their sandwiches. It was still great, and a very large portion. But I think I'll stick with the sandwiches going forward. Definitely support this local franchise! The workers were all very friendly. This location offers kiosks you can order at or you can order with a regular cashier as well. The woman who brought my bowl out was very friendly. It's self-bus your table. It's very casual, and they have indoor and outdoor seating.

I wanted to provide a review update based on my recent catering order with them as a tiebreaker between the 4th and 5th stars. Urbane Cafe has a team of three dedicated to catering orders. When I reached out to them via email, one of their specialists answered my initial inquiry, but my remaining inquiries were handled by their catering & office manager, who was very helpful and, not to mention, thoughtful! I actually had to place two catering orders with them to schedule my luncheon. Why two? The night before my initially scheduled luncheon, I suffered an injury and couldn't go to work the next day. I frantically tried to think of a Plan B until I noticed the cancellation policy on my confirmation email: you can cancel by 8:30 AM the morning of without incurring a penalty, but if you cancel after that time, you'd be charged 50%, which would have been quite a lot for me. I'm not sure if that means if you email them at 8:29 AM requesting to cancel, you'd still be in the clear; if it came down to the wire like that, I'd recommend giving them a call instead. Anyways, I was thinking of a day to reschedule the luncheon when all of a sudden, I got an email from Urbane Cafe thanking healthcare heroes and teachers by offering 20% off* catering orders of $250 or more. So thanks to my injury, I could actually order more without having to spend more! My initial order was a sandwich platter with two catering salads, but with the added benefit of 20% off, I was able to change that to a "Share The Love" package, which is pretty much the first order, except with one of the catering salads replaced by 15 cookies, 15 cans of soda, and 15 bags of chips. I also ordered 5 focaccia breads, where each bread comes in 8 pieces. They store two whole breads in one takeout container, so I had three takeout containers solely for the focaccia breads. One of my guests is vegan, and their only vegan sandwich, at least sans modifications, is the Tofu Banh Mi. I asked if there was a way to distinguish the Tofu Banh Mi from the others since I definitely wouldn't want my vegan guest eating something non-vegan, and they made a note to wrap and label the Tofu Banh Mi sandwich halves. Really appreciate the thought and care they put into this! The focaccia bread is also vegan. For the salad, I chose the Specialty Harvest Grain Salad, which is exclusive to catering; in other words, you wouldn't be able to order that salad on a regular dine-in or takeout order. It's also the most expensive salad if you order as a salad platter, but doesn't incur an upcharge when chosen as the salad for the "Share The Love" package. Any salad you choose for the "Share The Love" package wouldn't incur an upcharge, so the Specialty Harvest Grain Salad would be the most sensible choice here. The Specialty Harvest Grain Salad has mixed whole grain rice, marinated kale, roasted sweet potatoes, garbanzo beans, and goat cheese, the last of which I requested to put on the side so that my vegan guest could still have some salad to go with his Tofu Banh Mi sandwich. The salad also comes with pecans and a dressing, both on the side. What really impressed me was that they informed me the Japanese dressing I initially chose for the Specialty Harvest Grain Salad wasn't vegan and offered to switch it to the Balsamic, which is vegan. I suppose they remembered how I had a vegan guest due to how I requested to distinguish the Tofu Banh Mi sandwiches from the others, but seriously, that was some heads up thinking! On the flip side, I do hope they specify what's vegan, at least on their catering page because how was I supposed to associate Japanese with non-vegan?? It's also worth noting the cookie isn't vegan. This was another big reason why I chose Urbane Cafe over another restaurant who, no joke, includes non-vegan cookies in their vegan boxed meals. For the sandwich platter, you can chose how many full sandwiches of each type to be on your platter. It defaults to 6 different sandwiches, each with quantity 2, but you can adjust the numbers when customizing your order. Some of the sandwiches, like the Tri Tip, would incur an upcharge of $2 or $3.25 depending on what the sandwich is. I chose one of every sandwich that didn't incur an upcharge and added an extra Tofu Banh Mi for good measure. If you click the box next to each menu item, it will describe said menu item. I also recommend picking up a catering menu, which I had done during their Grand Opening weekend. I had a Santa Maria sandwich and loved it! The salad was great too! And their chocolate chip cookies were probably the best cookies I've ever had in my life! Everybody else enjoyed the meal too, hence why I'm keeping the rating as 5 stars. * Good job on reading my review in its entirety up to this point! You are also being rewarded with the promo code I've surreptitiously hidden in the following clue: WIVESHAVEEARTHLYSOULS. You will have to play a game of Camouflage to figure it out by May 14, 2025. Good luck!

Finally a healthy lunch location that actually has good food! Really loved the options here and the ability to customize practically everything! The price is decent and the portions are good. I really enjoyed my BBQ chicken salad. Will definitely be returning when I'm looking for something light and refreshing.

This place is awesome! Can't believe I just found it. The staff is super friendly and helpful; they were kind, responsive and initiated help before I even asked. Thank you, Liz and Nathan, for being so excellent! I appreciate you both. The gold is delicious and the portions are generous. Everything is super fresh. Only about 5-6 four-seater tables, so not tons of space, but nice vibe inside. Not too loud, but not quiet.

I was starving after workout so I went back towards home and wound up at Urbane Cafe in Long Beach. Big menu but I wanted steak sandwich so I went with bbq tri tip sandwich with a drink-good variety of drinks and some healthy like mango lemonade. Here's what my order looked like! Bbq tri tip was great had some kick to it but very flavorful and the salad was healthy and delicious! I'm glad I stopped by the Long Beach Exchange area in Long Beach! I highly recommend stopping by and trying their food!

He was kind, polite, and carried himself with such warmth -- and yes, those curls were beautiful. He set the tone for the entire experience. For our entrées, we had the grilled salmon with bok choy and mashed potatoes, and the steak sandwich with French fries. Everything was delicious, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. The ambience was wonderful. They have a full bar, and you can watch the chefs prepare dishes right from your table, which adds to the experience. I also appreciated seeing the general manager actively running food and engaging with guests -- leadership like that shows. Another thing that stood out was how clean and organized the restaurant stayed. The moment a table was vacated, it was cleared and reset within minutes. Everything looked spotless. There's so much on the menu that I want to come back and try. I highly recommend this place. And last but definitely not least -- thank you, Demetrius, for noticing my parking time had expired and getting me that extra 15 minutes. You saved me a ticket. You're a true gem. One visit we waited over 40 minutes without being acknowledged, another time our order came out wrong, and another time the food arrived cold like it had been sitting for quite a while. Because of that, I honestly did not want to come back tonight. But I was craving a good steak, and after my husband suggested giving 908 another try, I reluctantly agreed. I noticed the filet mignon on the menu paired with broccolini and decided to go for it. From the moment we walked in, the experience felt completely different. The hostess was warm and welcoming and seated us immediately. A young man came over right away with waters and took our drink order, which already surprised us in the best way. Then Alex S came to our table, and he truly made the night exceptional. He was friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful in making sure my order was exactly how I wanted it. I mentioned that I didn't want a large piece of butter melting over the steak, and he happily accommodated that request. He even checked on the exact ounce size of the filet for me, which I appreciated. We ordered the Brussels sprouts appetizer, and honestly, they were the best Brussels sprouts we've ever had. Perfectly cooked, not drowning in sauce, and absolutely packed with flavor. My 8 oz filet mignon was cooked perfectly medium rare, exactly as ordered. The broccolini was crisp, fresh, and not overly oily. Everything tasted thoughtful, balanced, and worth every dollar. Most importantly, Alex S delivered spectacular service from start to finish. We were genuinely shocked to learn this was his first night shift because he handled the dining room with professionalism, warmth, and confidence far beyond what we expected. Thank you, Alex S, for completely changing our impression of 908. Tonight's experience was excellent, and for the first time, we are actually excited to come back. Thanks again, Jed Dornoff

Tell me to meet you somewhere and I'll be there. Simple as that and less stress for me. Anyways, that's how we ended up at this place. Trying to find happy hour with food in the area was somewhat a challenge. Either they were finishing up or it wasn't that interesting on the menu. Of course some places offered amazing drink deals but no food. We ended up here actually across the street still looking up for places but the rooftop patio was what caught our attention. The restaurant itself looked bare as there was no one inside. Still on the early side but noticing people going in and then heading up stairs. After a few debates on here and there, we gave up and found our way here. Checked in with the host, letting him know that we just wanted happy hour upstairs. It was about two flights of stairs which the place looked quite industrial with all the metal beams and stairs. Downstairs was beautiful but completely emptied. Everyone wanted to utilize the rooftop patio as it was beautiful out. We were greeted by someone which mentioned to us that any bar seating was available. There was a section towards the back that was pretty lively. I think it was booked for a group. Instead of the bar area, we asked to sit along the rooftop counter that looks out to the street and building across the street. Way better view and perfect way to spend the afternoon hours. Staff were all pretty sweet and very friendly. Whatever we needed they were they to help. Both the regular menu and happy hour menu were quite impressive. As we just wanted HH, it was given. They had drink special for 10.00 and small bites for 10.00 as well. Didn't hesitate and started off with some drinks. The red sangria with mixed fruits was a nice clean and refreshing treat. Tasteful without that aftertaste. And the Le Pistolet Fumant, a delectable tasty drink with mezcal with a hint of pineapple. And other well drink that was perfect for a nice afternoon. HH drink special was quite tasty to start off. Food wise, started off with an order of the Caesar salad, simple but delicious. Fresh crisp Romaine lettuce and slices of Parmesan and crouton bits. Nice crunch with each bite. The dressing, wow pretty tasty. And an order of the Mac and Cheese . Most places it's either a hit or a miss and let me say it was a HIT. Quite cheesy and full of flavors that a second order was had. A dish I do recommend for HH. We also had an order of the Brussels sprouts which was excellent. A nice glaze and crunchy with chunks of house cured pancetta. Nice big chunks I must say. Lastly the beef sliders with Wagyu beef patties. Honestly, this was the least favorite of the dishes we got. You would think it sounded great but it was quite tasteless and nothing major to report on. Served with brioche bun and shredded lettuce and tomatoes and a lemon aioli. I had high hope for it when I saw the group next to us order it but it was a little disappointing. Overall, the Mac and cheese, Caesar salad and Brussels sprouts were all hits. The sliders, disappointing. Other items on HH didn't look too ingesting for us but it was for other people. The rooftop lounge and bar area was the place to be when we were there. It picked up real fast after we got seated. Picnic style tables being occupied by large groups before HH ended. Just the rooftop alone was great and beautiful. It a place that's good for a drink and meal with friends. Downstairs was beautiful but seemed more of an intimate experience. Overall, it was a great choice for a meal during HH.

We liked the menu choices and it was tough to choose from because everything sounded great. My wife ordered the duck ragu rigatoni and I opted for the tempura battered fish taco small plate and Spanish Octopus with chorizo, potato, and tomato confit hash. Everything came out looking great and executed very well. The flavors were spot on. The service was excellent. Very attentive without being smothered. We look forward to returning for dinner service soon and imbibing on cocktails.

The bussers were the most attentive and honestly the only ones consistently checking on us. The waitresses barely came by. They took the drink menus right after we ordered drinks which made it feel a little rushed Our waitress came by twice, once to take our order and once with the check. We had to flag someone down just to order another drink and that only happened because a busser brought us a menu. It really felt like the bussers were carrying the service here Drinks were good so no complaints there. Food was just okay, nothing special or memorable. The photobooth, which seems like a big reason people come, wasn't even working which was also a disappointment Overall wouldn't come back. There are way better spots nearby with good food and good service

The service was impeccable and I loved the recommendations for wine pairings. The pastries and danishes served were so fresh and I loved the presentationof the various teas we could choose from. I highly recommend upgrading to the Queens Tower! Better wine options and a heartier meal. The Veuve Cliquot Rich with the ice ball was perfect! I'm really looking forward to coming for dinner next time . It truly is a gem in East Village.

I went here for my friend's birthday and when I stepped in, I was pleasantly surprised with the space and how pleasant and professional the staff were. The arrangement of teas, both caffeinated and non-caffeinated for folks like me that don't drink caffeine, paired so well with the different pastries, breads, and other items on their food tower. They had sugar cubes and milk that you could add to teas for your liking and our hostess even let us mix different teas together for the ultimate experience. I also really enjoyed their thick cut bacon (and I mean thick!). I would love to come back here to enjoy their dinner menu and I know it will be great because everything is fresh, made to order, and you can tell the staff from the cook to the host to the owner really enjoy what they do and want you to have a great experience. If you go to Chez Bacchus you won't regret it!

Bristy, our server, thoroughly explained the details of certain dishes such as the Mac & Cheetos. She also checked in on our table throughout the meal and came around often to refill our water. As for the food itself, it was very delicious. My favorite dish was the artichokes. They had a somewhat smoky flavor and the outermost leaves were crunchy and a nice contrast to the soft inside of the artichokes. They were also served in a tangy sauce that complimented the vegetable well. My friend's favorite item was the macaroni and cheese. It was chewy and creamy, and the pasta, which Bristy informed us was made in-house, was what my friend thought elevated the dish because it was a nice texture. We additionally ordered the gumbo which was also tasty but not as yummy as the other two dishes that we ordered. It is not a spicy dish if one is concerned about spice level. As for the ambiance of the restaurant, we enjoyed how the atmosphere felt casual and almost like you were sitting in somebody's house (the wallpaper and interior design is pretty) while still maintaining an elegant aesthetic design. If I was in the area, I would return to The Attic for dinner. My friend and I had a very welcoming and positive experience in terms of the service and food respectively at this establishment.

There is inside seating what looks like a converted house? There is outside seating at tables or at the bar. The menu was interesting which had a theme of shrimp; there was eggs Benedict with shrimp, but not an item to order a regular one without it? Sure maybe could have ordered and asked without shrimp but pay the same price? Pass. Ok when I called they mentioned they serve brunch until 3? 3:30 I can't remember. The server mentioned they serve the brunch all day? Either way when I got to ordering this month on the menu it highlighted the shrimp po boy. I tried to order and nope, out. How can you be out of the item highlighted as the special in the middle of the day? When the place is not packed? I tried to order the lobster roll and again, out. I was tempted to order their short rib poutine since in theory it sounded good, but at this point I tried something simple I would hope they have in the kitchen chicken and waffles. The plate came and it looks good. If you look at the picture at the bottom of the chicken you can see a dark something. As I lift my chicken I found a huge burnt piece of breading pictured next. On top of the chicken is green onion I think? Who eats that with chicken and waffles? If I am wrong, a garnish is totally unnecessary for this dish. The chicken was moist. There are spices in the flour breading I can see but hard to taste what it is. The waffle is a hard pass for me. The waffle was crispy which is good, but also thin and dry and I couldn't taste any sweetness until I put maple syrup on it. The syrup came out warm which was nice. It's clear watching the people at the bar this is a local hangout. The chicken and waffles were $19 which if I was in the bay I think it's about right, but I think a little high considering the level of food I got. Supposedly this place is packed specifically on Sundays. The server doesn't know why? I'm not interested to even try to come back for a second chance and just be told sold out of the menu.

Trying several items on the menu provided us a nice sampling of what they have to offer. We enjoyed everything we ordered. My favorite was probably the Brussel sprouts as they were cooked to perfection and not sweet like most restaurants serve them. A close 2nd was the chicken parmesan served over zucchini noodles. The final item ordered was a mushroom pasta with shrimp. The shrimp were fantastic with a light char and perfect flavoring. The pasta was good. It was a bit to spicy for me with the chili oil so I only had a small portion. The inside is simple yet inviting with an open layout. They seemed a bit short staffed, but every one was hustling and honestly we were well taken care of. Sad I won't have another opportunity to try more of the menu, but grateful to squeeze in this visit before they close in about a week.

It did look quite busy on the patio when we checked in with the hostess. We were informed that it would prob be about 20 minutes or so for a table and if we wanted to wait at the bar. Exactly what we did. Bar area had maybe 5/6 hi top chairs that look onto the bar. Gabriel and Francisco who were working was knocking the drinks out one by one. Sitting there and just watching them create magic for everyone, it was quite amusing. Seeing how it's made and presented with precise detail, it was an art. While waiting for the table we started off with the raspberry lychee martini and the spicy margaritas. Both were great. The right amount of kick with each sip. Gabriel was knocking them out one by one and man was he busy. Fransisco took are of us while we were eating which we ended up just having our dinner at the bar instead. The last time I remembered the chicken Parmesan which was excellent. So we started off with the grilled prawns as a starters. Five prawns in a skewers and grilled with a delicious sauce accompanied. It was tasty and quite delicious. Decent size and meaty for each bite. Entrees was a little mishap as our meal was mistakenly given to the party next to us which they enjoyed. Honesty mistake but we laughed it off. Kitchen was informed and a rushed was put on our order. We weren't in a rush so it was fine with us. They apologized and graciously offered us a dessert after dinner. Something simple but very graceful for the honest mistake. Entrees, the wild mushrooms pasta which was quite tasty and pretty decent in size. The cream sauce which wasn't too over powering the meal was great. Each bite was very tasty. Then there was the chicken Parmesan which why we were here and expecting. The last visit it was excellent with grilled broccolini, slices of tomatoes on top and mozzarella cheese and onto spaghetti pasta. It was great. Thinking it would be the same this time which it wasn't. This visit, it was just served with squash pasta and buffalo mozzarella on top. Honestly it wasn't what I expected, somewhat of a little disappointed. Chicken was good don't get me wrong. But the hot meat with sauce and then you have literally COLD squash pasta paired with it. It was a little underwhelming. Overall, we still had a nice experience. The place was pretty full and of course the lakers were on so it was fun seeing everyone cheering them on. Bar seating for a meal was great as we had fun conversations with both Gabriel and Francisco. Plus they were cranking them drinks out one by one. Excellent in what they do. The drinks were great, grilled prawns and wild mushrooms pastas were excellent. Chicken parm, this time was a miss. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and cocktails. Also the dessert, highly recommend the Cinnabon with vanilla ice cream. Wow, it went down very well. Hoping next time will outdo this.
