Super fresh and tasty! This was my first time trying Cava and I totally get the hype now. I came by on a Sunday early-afternoon and there was a bit of a line. The line to order was nearly to the door. The line was moving fast until a Karen-like character stormed to the front and cut us all off. She was complaining about something she didn't like about her order and demanded that her bowl be remade. The workers were very respectful and immediately started remaking her food. This was annoying for me and everyone else that had been waiting but the employees handled it well. I ordered the new Glazed Salmon as my protein and it was so delicious. It has a beautiful glaze and crust with a soft interior that really impressed me for it being a fast-casual restaurant. The add-ons to the bowls were great and paired well with the flavors of the salmon. I felt like my bowl was a little skimped out on though - it felt a little empty for the price. Never been to Cava in my life so I decided to try it. Ordered a pre-determined bowl so I wouldn't have to choose. I said everything on it. Then sat down to realize it was barely anything. I added roasted veggies and a drink so I paid $27 for a 1/2 cup of grains and a piece of salmon. I guess the moral of the story is Know before you Go! Additionally, the place was filthy. I was excited to have Cava for lunch because I haven't had it in a while. And it was my husband's first time trying it. We got a falafel crunch bowl to share. Because it's a pre-set bowl, it already has a set base, protein, toppings, and dressing. As I was watching them make it, I noticed they only out 2 falafels in the bow the size of these falafels we so small, and for such a big bowl?! The guy serving me down the line was either ignoring me or couldn't hear me because I kept calling him, trying to get his attention! One we got towards the end of the line was was he decided to look up and I asked him if I could have 1 more falafel. He put it in then closed my bowl. I also noticed they put such little dressing. I asked the cashier if he or the other guy (last) in the line if I could have more dressing in a small container or on the side. They just opened my bowl and squeezed a ton of dressing in my bowl. Luckily it wasn't one of those wet dressings, otherwise by the time I would have gotten to my food at home, it would have been soggy! My husband ordered a side of steak. When looked at my receipt, they charged me $8+ for the small side of steak they gave to me! My husband said in the menu it said $3!!! I feel like the service was definitely lagging here. NOTE: NEEDS TO IMPROVE ON SERVICE! The ambiance is cool. Nice place to eat and enjoy your food. But with how long the wait is, I wouldn't sit near the end as there's so many people so close to you as you eat, just my opinion. Was told about this place for a while now. Just needed to get here! The LBC trip did just that! We stopped by for dinner after the Oakland Ballers and LBC Coast game. Jumped in line and immediately overwhelmed with options! decided on the build my own bowl. Spinach, arugula, basmati rice, feta, tomatoes, harissa honey chicken, grilled steak, pita stips, crazy feta, side harissa. Yeah, we need this place in the Bay Area! I don't know why we are late to the party when it comes to places like this. But this is worth stopping by when in the So. Cal area with a location near you! I was really disappointed with my experience at this location. The food presentation was horrible -- it looked like a mountain of slop rather than a properly prepared meal. I've ordered CAVA through DoorDash from other locations before, and the food has always looked so much better than what I received here. I also ordered pita bread and garlic dressing, but neither one was included in my order. On top of that, I ordered the Harissa Avocado, and as you can see in the picture, there was no avocado or hummus included at all. I probably should have gone back to address the issue, but by the time I noticed I was too far away! I will never order from this location again. read more

For my first time here, it was a little intimidating because I didn't know what they offered. So I chose a pre-built chicken and rice bowl which consists of grilled chicken, brown rice, tzatziki, hummus, feta, pickled onion, tomato, arugula and Greek vinaigrette. Ordered pita chips on the side as well. Everything was delicious. It was fresh and light but they give you a lot in my opinion. The pita chips were so good too. I also got the jasmine iced tea. There was no sweetness to it so I wasn't a fan of it. I also got the blueberry lavender drink. Again, wasn't sweet but both drinks were very refreshing. Tasted clean. Prices are a little up there. Food: 10/10 Drinks: 7/10 Service: 5/10 Overall: 8/10 servers need to be a little more patient with guests, especially new ones who don't know what to order on the spot. I'm a die-hard Cava fan, but I found myself a little disappointed by this Long Beach location. I normally love their quick service, clean interior, and tasty (yet healthy) meal options. Unfortunately this location is often out of key line ingredients, its soda machine has been broken, and it's clearly not as well loved by the staff in terms of clean up. Either way, the food is tasty and keeps me coming back for more. Cava is easily my favorite chain, so I'd love to see them take this location to the next level. read more

Harissa Avocado Bowl at CAVA is the BEST! It is my go-to meal every time I go to CAVA. Izzy the manager was so helpful when I went in. I noticed that even though she was working with online orders she was still super vigilant of her surroundings and helped out her other employees. Cucumber mint lime- Refreshing & rejuvenating, I cut this with 50% water to reduce my sugar intake. And, it came out perfect. Pineapple apple mint- Just as good, if not better, the pineapple apple mint had tropical notes from the pineapple, also cut with 50% water. Prior to leaving, I did a 50/50 mix of pineapple apple mint & unsweetened jasmine green tea. That was the perfect combo! Service was good. The line was long, but moved at a steady clip. There was a bit of a hiccup scanning the QR code on my app, but it was taken care of. Cava is located on the left of Nothing Bundt Cakes, adjacent to In N' Out. My first time at Cava, and I was impressed with the assembly line of fresh ingredients. Their house-made drinks quenched my thirst on a hot September day. We'd been wanting to try this place for a long time, and it did not disappoint! Arrived for dinner around 5:45. While we were there we saw the line grow long a few times, but it moved quickly. We had looked over the menu previously but there were so many options it was hard to choose! There were build your own options as well as tasty menu combos. I chose the spicy lamb bowl, one person chose the harissa steak bowl and our other member created her own bowl with harissa honey chicken. They had a fair sized team working, and they moved very quickly and efficiently. We could hardly keep up with their questions as we moved through the line to have our bowls prepared! Haha. I was happy they asked though- if I wanted the dressing on the side, any changes to my menu combination, etc. They had interesting bottled drinks for sale as well as delicious sounding "fountain" juices. My daughter chose the blueberry lavender. It was delicious! Not too sweet, gentle flavor. We were very happy with our selections. They are packed in compostable with lids , for easy take out or dine in. The meats were cooked well, and the other ingredients were tasty and fresh. Good quality. The dips were yummy, and the sauces potent; the skhug sauce in particular packed a gralicky walllop. The only thing I would change next time would be more salad greens and less lentils. The bathrooms were accessible and clean. The restaurant was also clean. Decent amount of seating. They have a patio as well. We were impressed with the whole operation.
