A little pricey, but damn is the food amazing ‍ The pita, the hummus flight, the entrees. I will definitely come back when I have the chance ‍

I finally tried the brunch it was sooo tasty! I got the mint lemonade for drink (delicious and refreshing) and the Levantine chilaquiles- fiiiiire. Roughly $6 for the drink and $18 for the plate. About average pricing for downtown long beach. My friend got the chicken plate and it was $44!! But! it was quite a lot of bird and it was beautiful. I've had dinner here before as well and it tasted amazing. The service has always been lovely. The decor in here!!!! It's so beautiful! You feel tranquil and pretty just sitting inside. They did an amazing job. I love that they also have an outdoor patio for the fresh air downtown vibe.

Service and atmosphere were top-notch. Parking is iffy - the nearby parking garage is $20/hr if you come on a special events day, otherwise, it's free for 2 hours! Mutabbal and pita were great together. They make the pita fresh so it's super warm and fluffy. Zaatar manouche is a bit dry but otherwise the seasoning was good. Palestinian msakhan was good. The only downside was that it was hard to cut up. Walnut baklawa was the best baklawa I've ever had in my life.

Food was very good with a personal highlight being the zahra mezza. The cauliflower is satisfying to eat with the freshly baked pita and hummus. Pistachio was excluded due to tree nut allergy, which was much appreciated. Jilane was a great server, she was informative and easy to talk to regarding food that may impact my food allergy. She even informed me that sumac on the onions may trigger a reaction so we opted to leave it out to err on the side of caution. I am grateful that she is someone who takes allergies seriously! My only critique is that I ordered medium rare for the ribeye steak but the pieces I got were a bit too chewy and tough for my liking. The seats are also a bit close to other tables so when it is busy, your seat may be more prone to people accidentally tapping it if you are too closely seated to your table.

Came here to celebrate my dad's birthday. Good service where server had recommendations. I felt the price was a bit high for the items we ordered. Food wise it was ok for me as nothing really stood out so surprising to see such high ratings. Inside is nicely decorated with an upscale feel.

The spicy hummus, roasted beet hummus, and muhammara paired with the fresh pitas were sooo good! I will definitely come back for those again. The mixed mashawi was also delicious, all of the meats were grilled to perfection and incredibly flavorful. The waiter highly recommended the spicy garlic lemon chicken, but personally, I thought it tasted similar to other grilled chicken dishes I've had before, so I probably wouldn't get that again. The atmosphere was definitely a vibe, and the service was amazing throughout our meal.

I had an amazing dinner at ammatoli last night. The decor was beautiful and the service was fantastic. We tried a variety of items including the 3 mezze platter with spicy hummus, labneh, and falafel, the cauliflower, the sea bass, batata hara, the arayes, shawarma, and shishbarak. My favorites were the spicy hummus, cauliflower, and shawarma. I can't wait to come back!

Amazing food, interior, and service! We lucked out and were able to get seats immediately on a Thursday night. Our server Frances kindly explained each dish and gave us his personal recommendations. Very helpful! We ordered the hummus, mutabbal, pita, fattoush salad, and skewer plate. They were ALL so delicious and fresh! The portion sizes were huge as well so we were able to pack almost a whole meal to go :-) Throughout the dinner, ambiance was so nice and our server continued to check in on us so our overall experience was so amazing.

PHEEnominal. Sat on the patio and had an amazing dinner. portions are great for sharing and recommended. Really love the trio of dip we got, and to be honest, don't think you can go wrong with any of the selection. The only sad thing was that you had to order the pita separately, but it was fine, cuzzz that bread was amazing. Service was good too, we appreciated the recommendation! parking can be found on the street!

Stopped by on a Tuesday at noon as a treat for getting through a dental appointment across the street Very busy (for good reasons) but easily found two seats at the bar. Staff was very friendly. Decor was classy. Loud, but a lot of energy in the room. Drinks and food came out quickly. The quality of the food was outstanding.

Ammatolí is one of those places that feels special before the food even arrives. The space is beautiful, with elegant chandeliers, warm textures, and thoughtfully curated décor that creates a welcoming yet elevated atmosphere. Whether you're seated for a casual lunch or a celebration, the ambiance strikes the perfect balance between upscale and comfortable. The food was equally impressive. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, vibrant, and light while still being full of flavor. The mezze selection was beautifully presented, the hummus silky smooth, and the flatbreads were crisp and delicious. The chicken plate was well seasoned and tender, and even the sides felt thoughtfully prepared. Nothing felt heavy or overly rich, allowing the quality of the ingredients to shine through. Service was another highlight. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed to care about ensuring we had a great experience. Hospitality like that elevates an already wonderful meal. The location is also very convenient, with nearby parking structures that make visiting surprisingly easy for downtown Long Beach.

Thank you Chase for the lovely recommendations! Everything was on point! I appreciate you taking care of my kids' almost meltdown! Beet labneh!! Lamb kebab!! Pita bread!! Lovely atmosphere and ambiance Thanks for becoming my fav brunch spot!!

A modern Mediterranean restaurant with delicious food and a lovely atmosphere filled with natural sunlight. It was not crowded during a Wednesday lunch. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu items. Our order: * Three Way Mezza w/ Roasted Beets Hummus, Mutabbal, Falafel, & Housemade Pita: This was my favorite dish of the meal. The housemade pita was fresh, warm, and fluffy. I enjoyed being able to try a variety of sides with the Three Way Mezza. * Grilled Kebab Plate (steak replacement) w/ Vermicelli Rice, Hummus, & Garden Salad: The steak was cooked perfectly, and the sides were just as delicious. * Spicy Garlic Lemon Chicken Plate w/ French Fries & Tabbouleh: The chicken was juicy and flavorful. They also provide an extra side of the spicy garlic sauce, which was a nice touch. The dip portion sizes were generous, and we had plenty left after we finished eating. The bathrooms were clean and aesthetically decorated. Paid street parking is available nearby.

    Is there a happy hour?

It's a fantastic happy hour from 3-5 M-F dine in only. Their wines can be pricey so happy hour is a good option

Is the meat 🍖 zabiha halal?

yes, it is zabiha and muslim-owned. at the bottom of their website they have a halal logo as well.

Can you order anything off the menu during weekend lunch or are you limited only to the brunch menu?

    Only brunch menu

Are kids ok with is restaurant?

I believe this is family friendly.

Do they have kids menu options for brunch?

I don't think so. I don't remember seeing anything specific for a kid's menu, but I think the flatbread choices would be ideal for kids.

How much is corkage fee currently?

    $25

Do you have high chairs available for children?

    Yes

Do they offer vegan options (if any)?

Yes. I was able to find some!

    How's the parking situation?

You can park in the Parking Structure for free for at least 2 hours (sometimes longer). They are located only 1 block from Ammatoli before you get to Pine.

Does your restaurant offer halal dishes?

Do you guys have bottomless mimosas?

Here is the drink menu. They offer a mimosa, but you can probably call them and ask. https://static1.squarespace.com/static/62ec2d4baabf447e044331c4/t/641ba482766af9490de42701/1679533192942/BEER+and+WINE+Menu.pdf

Do you need to have a reservation?

Walk-ins are most welcomed! However, it will be extremely difficult to accommodate parties of 7 or more due to limited space and other reservations which also need to be honored.

Are dogs allowed on the patio?

Yes, tables are tight outside but my small dog was comfortable.

Is there service for dining in the bar?

Yes, you can order any of the food items from the bar that you would be able to get from a table.

Is there a number we can call to speak to someone? I have tried calling several times and it only directs you to the website or an email address?

    So why not email them?

Would it be possible to rent out the place for 1 night for a small wedding reception? I'm asking for a friend who's getting married next year😊

You would need to contact the owners directly for the answer.

Hello, when we previously asked about your chicken shawarma, we were told that you make it with only chicken breast. On my last visit, I noticed some dark meat mixed in, so I wanted to make sure and ask if there was a change? Thank you!

Thank you for your question! As we started to make the chicken shawarma on the spit, we have been adding chicken thighs in addition to the chicken breast. This makes the chicken shawarma more flavorful and more juicy. Previously, we used to make it…

Is your fish wild- caught or farmed? Is your fish sustainable?

Do you require proof of vaccination?

I did not have to show any when seated outside

    Do you guys take reservations?

Yes we do. You can place your resrvation through our website. Thank you!

A very welcoming vibe upon entry, we were greeted by a friendly couple who answered our questions about popular drink flavors. We decided to go with a Hot Cinnamon Dulce Latte and an Iced Blueberry Lavender Latte. While waiting, there were plenty of chairs, tables, a comfy couch and even a bar area to sit and relax. Tons of board games, books and wonderfully mellow music helps make the experience feel comforting and inviting. Our drinks were prepared quickly and shouted at the coffee bar for pickup. The presentation was great, but the flavors, out of this world! The Cinnamon Dulce Latte was OUTSTANDING. So good, in fact, that my girlfriend stole it from me! Not to worry, her Blueberry Lavender Latte was also top-notch, with a smooth, not-to-sweet flavor combination. I stopped in for a coffee and a side of bacon, and my total was almost $20. For such a simple order, that's hard to justify. I understand food costs have increased, but the pricing feels excessive compared to other local restaurants that serve quality food at much more reasonable prices. My biggest concern, however, is the impact the business has had on our neighborhood. Since Zuzu's Petals opened, we've noticed a significant increase in litter, much of it appearing to be food and drink packaging from the restaurant. Weekend traffic on the sidewalks has become overwhelming, customers often park in alleyways or in unsafe locations, and it has made our neighborhood much more difficult to navigate. We brought these concerns to an employee, but were told there wasn't much they could do. If this business truly wants to be part of the community, I hope they take more responsibility for the impact they're having on the surrounding neighborhood. Encouraging customers to park responsibly, helping keep the area clean, and offering more reasonably priced menu options would go a long way toward building goodwill with the people who actually live here. I always want local businesses to succeed, but right now I can't recommend Zuzu's Petals based on both my experience and the ongoing issues it's created for nearby residents. Also beach cleaning isn't cleaning our neighborhood. That's no support to our neighborhood. Maybe have a neighborhood clean up day instead.

The menu has a ton of really detailed options, each drink with its own depth. The menu changes seasonally but what doesn't change is the smoked old fashioned - a must-order. They smoke your drink in a glass container using applewood chips; it's quite a show and it also does make the drink much more enjoyable. Ask the bartender and they can also help guide you to a drink - I've done it a couple of times and always pleasantly surprised. Next up, the food! The hummus was very flavorful and paired with an amazing fluffy pita bread. The truffle fries were solid but the plate was HUGE, definitely needs a friend to share. The Nashville wings are the star of the show. I cannot stress this enough, this is worth a DRIVE for. The seasoning really does remind you of Howlin' Rays (the highest compliment) and the chicken is extremely crispy yet insanely juicy. The pickles and ranch that it comes with pairs so well. Do note that they are tossing it in pork fat, which enhances the depth but also makes it a little greasy at the end. I also wished they'd warn you this and offer to order it without it; especially for those who don't eat pork or for those trying to cut some calories. There's a happy hour menu too!!! So you can get drinks and food even cheaper. I cannot stop thinking about this place. It's such a sleeper. Head to Midnight Oil after a visit to continue your night.

I found the prices to be reasonable, especially given the quality of the food and drinks and the central location inside The Westin Over two visits, I tried the hummus, barbacoa tacos, proof burger, and a jalapeño margarita, and everything hit the spot-fresh, and well-seasoned. One thing I would call out is to double-check that your drink is made with the alcohol you requested. I asked for a specific brand in my jalapeño margarita, and the bartender used the one I had specifically said I didn't want (Casa Amigos). I watched him make it and had to ask our server to confirm what was in the drink. To their credit, they remade it with no issues, but it's worth paying attention if you're particular about your spirits. The staff was friendly and welcoming each time I stopped in, and while service ran a bit on the slower side at moments, they stayed attentive enough that it never felt like a real issue.
