I would have given 5 stars, except that the store itself has limited seating and not conducive to dining in if I had wanted to. The tables outside are nice, though. I was offered a little discount for ordering through their app so I took advantage of that. Ordered in the morning for pickup early afternoon. I stuck with the basic build your own salad... you are allowed greens mix, choice of only 5 veggie ingredients for the base price, a dressing. I didn't need to add meat or more veggies as I was taking it home to eat later. Ordering was easy on the app. I arrived about 20 minutes before my scheduled pickup time, but the staff at pickup was very nice and let me know it would be up quickly. Store was fairly empty at that time. Restroom was available with code. They asked if I needed a bag for the salad bowl but I had brought my own. Utensils and salt/pepper were available to take. I liked the variety of chips and bottled drinks they offered but did not get any extras this visit. Salad was a good sized bowl. It included a little slice of pita bread that was tasty. There were lots of the sliced black olives and edamame. I understand having everything chopped bite sized, great of you are on the go, but my lettuce and other items were diced so finely... I could barely find the cucumber, the pickled onions were still pretty bitter tho tiny, and having grape tomatoes sliced up made them lose their flavor and texture. My previous review was 5 stars and I felt the need to give another after my last visit a couple days ago. My order was completed in record time, and when I picked it up, I was greeted with a friendliness that's so hard to get in a lot of establishments nowadays. When I walked out, I was called back by a young lady who informed me I was given the wrong order. After a minute of deliberation among the team, they realized I had the right order the entire time. They were very apologetic and offered complimentary items (which I refused) as a means to make amends. I don't believe the staff made a mistake, instead, cared so much about the service they provide that they felt the need to double confirm. It's nice to see people care. Tip these employees at the very least 20%. They deserve every bit. Oh, yeah- salad was good, too. read more

I've tried Simply Salad three times in the last week and I'm officially hooked. I love how easy it is to order online or through their app and my salad is always ready right on time for pickup. So far, I've tried the Thai It Up Salad with salmon (Thai peanut sauce) and the Chinatown Salad with grilled chicken twice (Far East and Asian soy mix). Both came with a generous amount of protein that actually keeps you full. I always get the dressing on the side so I can control how much I use without oversaturating the salad. Everything was super fresh with no wilted or soggy pieces and my favorite part is the added crunch and texture from the crispy wontons. Five stars for my new go to salad spot in Long Beach. I can't wait to go back and eat my way through the menu. read more

I ordered from delivery on door dash. I opted for the Cesar salad with lemon juice and Cesar dressing. The food was delivered on time and seemed pretty fresh. The salad was large for the price point. Overall it was good but nothing special to me. I would order maybe again but it would not be my first choice. The salad was decent but just average. It's worth giving it a try as everyone has different taste buds but it didn't really give me inspiration to put this place on my rotation. After the gym , I originally wanted CAVA but dreaded their super long line and not best service so gave this spot a try. I do not regret coming here instead ! Plenty of parking and inside very spacious with lovely plant paintings on the walls. No wait , so I ordered right away. The staff that took my orders was very friendly and helpful with recommendations . I got the Get your Greek on salad . I couldn't decide if I wanted Mediterranean ranch or balsamic vinaigrette for my dressing and asked the server if I can do half on the side. She was able to accommodate that for me. I was so pleased with my 1st visit I went back in 2 days and ordered the Buff salad (no carrots) The portion size was very generous and filling! Both of the ones I order were very delicious in their own way with completely different tastes. The meats in both flavorful and juicy , if I had to pick a favorite I would pick the Buff since it has a kick of spice from the Buffalo sauce and jalapeno. They toss and mix the salads very well. Simply Salad always hits! It's a great lunch option and even a satisfying dinner option after the gym. The portions are filling for a salad, but they don't leave you uncomfortably full. I always go for the salads, but they can make any of their salads into a wrap, and I believe they also have soups. I tend to opt for their signature salads and add/swap certain ingredients. My favorites have been the Chinatown, Thai It Up, and the El Paso salad. Their dressings are also great, and the staff are pretty good at making recommendations or offering a bit of two different ones if you're on the fence about it. Salads come with a piece of pita. I mean, what's not to like about it? I've only eaten inside there once or twice. There is very limited seating, with most of it being by the window. But the space is clean and they have a water dispenser. read more

I wish I could give them a better rating but at this point 2 is feeling a little generous. Yesterday I ordered the Miso Hungry salad. It comes with pickled ginger. When I tell you there was enough ginger on here to choke a horse you. I love ginger. This was garbage. I have photos. What you are seeing is all the ginger I could pick out of my 1 salad. That is obviously inedible and gross. Additionally the salad is meant to come with avocado, I got one measly piece in the whole salad. So I basically paid for a bowl of ginger. When I called to notify the manager I was told they would gladly make the salad again for me. But do I really want to give them another chance? I can't say I am willing to entrust this establishment with my money or tastebuds any longer, which is awful because decent salads are hard to come by. Besides yesterday's bad experience I've ordered 2-4 times a month now for several months so this review isn't based on one bad experience, but cumulative. The main issue is the lack of consistency. Some days your salad is minced, other times barely chopped and you have huge chunks of lettuce. Sometimes you get lots of avocado, sometimes almost none. Sometimes your salad has more edamame than the last one, like so much that it's almost all you taste. If you order online and they are out of an item then don't cancel and refund you, no they send a substitute without asking you if that's acceptable! I ordered roasted red pepper Gouda soup but got broccoli cheese, these are not just things you can swap. I'd rather they cancel and refund the item you wanted than try to decide for me what I would find acceptable replacement. Photos of the insane amount of ginger as proof. Btw, that is less than half the ginger I pulled out of that disgusting meal. I chucked it before I thought to photograph it but you can see some of the massive unchopped mass of ginger in the photo of the whole salad. It was truly one of the worst food experiences I've had. Unfortunately I do not recommend this place as it is currently ran. The food can be good, but usually it's not and the fact that it's so all over the place makes it difficult to want to spend my money there. Bummed all around. read more

We love coming here for the convenience! The salads are delicious and so are the soups! I recommend trying the Hipster Salad with grilled chicken and Pomegranate Vinaigrette! It's a great balance of sweet and savory. I have also tried the Cobb Salad with grilled chicken and Honey Mustard dressing! It's so good too! I just bought the Chinatown with grilled chicken with Honey Mustard dressing. It's so good. The broccoli cheddar soup is delicious and so is the clam chowder. My husband loves it too! There's also lemonade and tea. I usually have the lemonade it's refreshing! I'm currently eating my salad as I type this, and I just have to start by saying the Caesar dressing tastes amazing! I ordered a Cardini's Caesar salad with grilled chicken and hard-boiled eggs, along with an unsweetened iced tea, through DoorDash. Before placing my order, I noticed a difference between UberEats and DoorDash: on UberEats, the dressing is included with the cost of the salad, and any additional dressing costs extra. However, on DoorDash, the dressing isn't included at all; I had to pay 50 cents for it. When the salad arrived, it didn't look particularly appealing. There was only one visible piece of grilled chicken, and the hard-boiled eggs were nowhere in sight. As I dug a little deeper, I found more chicken, but the eggs remained elusive. The croutons were also a bit too big for my liking, though that might just be me being picky. That said, the Caesar dressing is so delicious that it almost makes up for everything else. I'll definitely give Simply Salad another shot next time; maybe I'll have better luck. read more

While I had a build your own salad, with buffalo chicken crispy onions, and mushrooms with Romain lettuce, my girlfriend had a wrap with chicken and some other items. We decided to give the cheddar broccoli soup a shot. it was OK because we have had better but it still had the flavor necessary to pass. we both can understand why orders come from online because they do take a while to put something together. However, that won't stop us from coming back because we both loved what we experienced. I came during lunchtime and I would say that parking here is tricky and tight. Inside it was pretty nice, but not enough tables inside if you want to dine in. I decided to get the Caesar wrap with grilled chicken for $4 more. You get to decide if you want the dressing on the side or mixed in and low, medium, or heavy. I chose medium mixed in and it was just the right amount, not too dry not too wet. The wrap was a pretty good size, I ate half was pretty full already.
