Stunning new location next to CSULB, but my food was salty. Two new restaurants next to each other in the plaza recently opened and I chose to try Luna Grill. Luna does fast casual Mediterranean. They have plates, pita sandwiches, bowls and salads. You can mix and match chicken, gyros, falafels, koobideh and kabobs. Crunchy Pita with Gyros and Fries - My pita arrived stuffed to the brim with goodies. It came with an extra sauce and the fries were a good portion size and were tossed in their seasoned salt. The pita sandwich had a good balance of veggies, crunchy stuff, sauce and meat. Where the dish took a turn was that the fries were double salted and then the gyros meat also seemed extra salty. The cashier was helpful and the food arrived quickly. The restaurant is new and spotless inside. I'm hoping the salty food is due to only being open a month, everything was good other that. Not sure why it happened to both the fries and the gyros which are both different prep processes, but hopefully it's something the restaurant can check on. read more

Holy cow, some of the best Mediterranean food we have here, especially as far as take-out! Beats Olives on 4th and rivals, if not beats Zankou Chicken. I got their lamb plate with hummus and pita and their pita was so fluffy and delicious!! The hummus as smooth, flavorful, and one of my favorites in the city (even over Open Sesame and the other spots I named already), and the lamb and rice were so perfectly cooked. It was a meal I enjoyed as a fresh order and a left over and this is my new regular spot!! Bang for your buck too! read more

Soooo good! Always my favorite go to. The Santorini Bowl has a little bit of everything. We are definitely excited to have this location near us. I do miss having the shrimp. The food was tasty and fresh, but it is fast food. Lots of options for vegetarians. Basically they would sub substitute falafel for any of the meat. Ordered the Santorini bowl and substituted the chicken for falafel. Boyfriend ordered the falafel kebab with a side of Mediterranean salad and their spicy hummus. You get two sides with each kebab. Service was good. It's kind of like a café. Not fancy - casual. Parking in the shopping center can at times be challenging as they have several restaurants in a busy space. The medi macro leans into the health benefits of a Mediterranean diet. We had Luna Grill last night. My husband and I had been looking forward to eating here. We enjoy Greek food. My husband had the chicken kabobs entree with rice and salad. I had the classic pita with French fries. My husband enjoyed his meal but mine was just ok. The fries were not good. When I pulled the box out of the bag it was only 1/2 full. And the fries were hard like they were the last of the cooked ones. I was disappointed. Anyway I am not sure if it is worth eating there again when there are other choices for Greek food. read more

Been to this location twice and so far, service and food is great! Portions are typical for restaurants these days, which is on the lower end, with higher prices. Two plates will cost $50. The sauces come in little containers, and not filled to the top. The ambiance feels light and welcoming, with Mediterranean blues and white throughout the restaurant. read more

Delicious Mediterranean food!! Super fresh, good sized portions, and the best garlic feta sauce ever This place is very convenient to anyone around this CSULB area. I also like how there were little decorative touches inside, like the blue and white Greek themes and a pretty outdoor seating area. Wanted to try this new place by my house but was disappointed. Ordered our food inside and waited in the chair next to the counter, not a booth. I never heard my name called over the music and waited for over 20 minutes. After seeing other customers order and pick up their food, I asked if my food was ready and was told it was ready almost 20 minutes ago. (I assumed that since they were new, it might have taken a little longer than normal) Nobody asked me if I was waiting for food or checked to see if I needed anything while obviously waiting for a while. My bag was sitting with some other phone order bags the whole time. I tried calling and speaking with someone but no one answers their phone. They need to communicate orders better or have the order on the counter for customers waiting in the restaurant. My wife said she is never going back there, as there are better options in the neighborhood and they have customer service. read more
