We came here to try the viral froyo with baklava and honey, which was refreshing and tart. We tried the loaded fries, which I have to say that the gyro lamb meat was exceptionally tasty. However, the fries itself were quite dry. Otherwise, very nice lunch spot

Been here one time before when it opened. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very clean and nice inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great service and good food. The only downside is the actual prices. It is a bit too pricey for that kind of food. However definitely worth going if you like Greek food. I will come back when I have the cravings for Greek food.

Food -- I've come here a few times and each time convinces me to keep coming back. The meat on all the plates is always super flavorful. I like their salads, gyros, and skewer plates. The falafels are tasty as well. *Can be pricey Service -- they were very friendly here and the food came out pretty quick. Ambiance -- [[HIGHLIGHT]]usually plenty of places to sit, a very beautiful restaurant that's kept very tidy[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I've been sleeping on Nick the Greek and so have you been if your reading this! I've gone maybe 1-2 times prior in college when a nearby Nick the Greek opened up near Cal State Fullerton opened up and they gave one gyro fry away per customer for free on their grand opening. It was a great marketing tactic for local college kids but unfortunately after that, I wasn't hooked just yet. When this spot opened up recently on 2nd Street, I always passed by but never pulled the trigger until I came earlier this year. Inside, its super spacious with high ceilings and plenty of seating. Their menu consists of pita sandwiches, salads, plates, bowls and more. My go-to is their beef/lamb gyro which is decently priced. It's the perfect to-go meal and affordable. It's a hefty meal too with sauce and fries. I've also ordered this online and it's ready in about 10-15 minutes. Recommend if you want to try a greek spot but there are also a lot of other good Mediterranean spots on 2nd Street too.

was exploring 2nd street and decided to stop by for a bite!! steak pita: 5/5 LOVED the food because it was a great portion size and also healthy!! it didn't make me feel too heavy like certain meals do. i love the fries inside the pita. [[HIGHLIGHT]]there is a lot of seating inside and is a decently sized place, and parking around the area isn't too horrible to find.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] the service was great - the server quickly checked in when he noticed my friend had just gotten food and i didn't. id eat here again!

The baklava and honey froyo is SO good, I crave it all the time. The froyo is very tart and balances the sweetness very well

This is a solid choice for a quick dinner or lunch! I ordered the Mediterranean Bowl with chicken and everything was fresh and the portion is sufficient. The flavors with the hummus and garlic sauce go perfectly together! The fries were crispy and well seasoned with a bit of rosemary which I loved. Check this place out! I have only ordered on DoorDash so can't speak to the dining experience, but the food is delicious.

Nick the Greek in Long Beach is an easy 4 star go to for fast casual Greek. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is spacious, bright, and very clean so you don't feel crammed in like a lot of strip mall spots.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff was accommodating and genuinely friendly. I ordered the beef/lamb gyro with fries on the side and it hit the spot it had good flavors and soft pita. The Greek salad was fresh, crisp, and well balanced with plenty of veggies and feta not just a bowl of lettuce. The real sleeper hit was the hummus and pita super creamy, well seasoned hummus and warm fluffy pita that felt way better than you'd expect from a fast casual chain. For a quick, satisfying meal that still feels fresh, this spot absolutely delivers. Pro tip grab the strawberry dragonfruit drink it's fire and pairs perfectly with the salty gyro and fries.

I've never gone wrong with the gyro coming here for the last two years since they opened. Tonight was about the chicken and it was crispy compared to the beefteki pita which is a bit more tender. The service has always been stellar from genuine kindness to helpfulness which is a top down affair. Fortunate to meet one of the owners, this review is at heels of eating a very sweet baklava the size of a slice of pie which I learned comes from their Florida headquarters. The room is always clean and perfect to watch sports events and it will be that much better once they get their beer and wine license approved. Hurry ABC, stop keeping Nick hanging!

The salad, the gyro pita, and the bowls, all sound amazing. Literally the best things in life. (: We only came for the dessert since I was craving Fryo! We might as well also get the Greek doughnuts! The service was great and the staff is very friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lots of space to sit, and service looks easy to follow.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] (:

Delicious till the last bite. For the first time I had to add salt to my food, and I usually don't. That should tell you how good of a quality the meat and ingredients are. That first experience is what made me come back. On my second visit, I ordered the same salad with chicken and lamb because I wanted that same experience again. When I got back to work, I realized the chicken was missing. I did not complain because I still had the lamb and the rest of the salad, and I understand that mistakes happen. Still, it was disappointing because I specifically came back wanting the same complete meal I had the first time. On my third visit, I drove from Gardena to Signal Hill specifically for that salad. After driving back to Gardena, I realized there was no dressing in the bag. I called the restaurant and explained what happened. I was told, "I'm sorry." At first I accepted that, but then I thought, what am I supposed to do with a salad with no dressing? I called back because I wanted to know what could be done. I was told that if I wanted my money back, I would have to bring the salad back to the restaurant. That meant after already driving from Gardena to Signal Hill and back, I was expected to make another trip because of something the restaurant forgot. When I explained that I was disappointed with how the situation was being handled and that I planned to leave a review, the woman on the phone responded, "All this for a dressing?" That comment bothered me more than the original mistake. Yes, it was dressing, but that misses the point. This was already the second time something had been left out of my order. The first time, I let it go. This time, the missing item affected the whole meal. What I would have appreciated was simple customer service. Acknowledge the inconvenience and make an effort to keep the customer. Something as simple as, "We apologize. Unfortunately, we cannot refund you without the food being returned, but on your next visit we will make sure we take care of you," would have completely changed the experience. Even offering a drink next time or simply saying they appreciated my business would have shown that they cared. I also tipped on my takeout order because I believe a tip is a way of showing appreciation for good service and attention to detail. I understand that a tip does not guarantee perfection, but it was disappointing to tip and still receive an incomplete order. There was also something I observed during this visit that concerned me. Someone spilled a drink, and one of the cooks helped clean it up. He wiped the floor while wearing gloves and, from what I could see, appeared to keep the same gloves on when returning to food preparation. That made me uncomfortable. I would have expected the gloves to be changed before handling food again. To be fair, the restaurant itself looks clean, organized, and well maintained. The tables, chairs, counters, and furniture appear to be in good condition. That is one of the reasons I kept giving this place another chance. I wanted to like Pita Pitaki. After my first visit, I thought it might become one of my go to places. Unfortunately, I never really got that same full experience again. My first visit was good. My second visit was missing the chicken. My third visit was missing the dressing, followed by customer service that made me feel like my concern did not matter. You can have good food and a clean restaurant, but customer service still matters. Sometimes how a business handles a mistake matters more than the mistake itself. My advice for anyone ordering takeout here is simple. Double check your order before you leave. Open the bag and make sure you have everything, especially meats, sauces, and dressing. Unfortunately, after giving this place several chances, it is no longer one of my go to spots.

The lamb chops were the star of the meal--perfectly seasoned, savory, juicy, and beautifully grilled with that fresh, smoky barbecue flavor. The hummus was a 10/10: silky smooth, topped with whole chickpeas, and full of rich, authentic flavor. The rice deserves its own mention. It was light, fluffy, buttery, and perfectly cooked--not sticky at all. Paired with the fresh salad, it balanced the meal perfectly. For drinks, the sorbet drink was so refreshing, and the pomegranate tea was outstanding with bright, fruity notes that made it the perfect way to end the meal. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful. So.. Mediterranean/ Arab type food... have I had it before? Not quite really but we stopped by this place and I snapped a photo but quite can't remember the name but I know it's kebab and something else like beef as medium - and one thing I was taught by the SoCal homie is get your steak medium, or medium rare if you fancy - and not chicken as a main .. dish but maybe as a side. And from what I was told Mediterranean food is kinda healthy. I straight up devoured this plate clean and it was delicious. Very delicious and yes I'm back in NorCal and I couldn't find anything near me that compares so I'd have to go out of town. But this experience and food here at open sesame is worth stopping by for good eats.
