    BBQ buffalo fries
    Laurel T.

This place is one of my guilty pleasures lol I used to order from here on Uber eats weekly for their chicken fries. This was the first time I came in and grabbed food. They have private parking in the back. It was actually really crowded when I came in. Mostly packed with people waiting for to go orders and Uber eats drivers. They have kiosks to order on but since I had a birthday coupon I had one of the staff members take my order I ended up getting a coupon for my birthday by signing up for their emails. So I came in and got one order of chicken fries (garlic Parmesan) and then another order (BBQ) and two drinks. I also love their chipotle sauce flavor. They actually have a pretty good selection of flavors to choose from I always order the boneless chicken because I don't like having to work that hard for my food and having to pick chicken off the bones Not going to lie, this place hits the spot after a long day. I always order their boneless chicken salad which is amazing, their boneless chicken wraps and they have great shakes (they also have little pieces of cake for sale up at the counter) I'll always continue to order to go from here. I noticed there is seating outside but I'm not sure if it's for the place next door or they all just share it. Because there's only a limited amount of seating inside

Got some boneless wings lemon pepper flavor and an oreo cookie shake. So delicious, great customer service.

I drive past this spot all the time and every time I get to the light I tell myself, "I have to try it." But for some reason I never do. Last week, I was out running around heading to book club and needed food, so I decided to try this place. It was on its way and easy enough to make me on time. Well, it backfired on me in a big way. Astonishingly good customer service was provided to me. A friendly smile and a warm welcome greeted me as soon as I walked through the door. My orders were correct and a friendly, attentive, and efficient staff supplied everything I needed. In the back, there are about ten parking spots, however, they might fill up quickly and street parking isn't the best option. The patio is limited however well-maintained, with maybe a few tables and chairs. It's an alright spot to enjoy a meal on a warm day. There is minimalist decor inside, with modern furniture and plenty of legroom, along with a public restroom. They had my favorite type of fries, but I don't know the brand, so I'm just going to call them fast-food fries. It took about 10-15 minutes for the 3 tender combo with BBQ sauce to be made, so I waited in the lobby for about 10-15 minutes. In the meantime, I decided to try a Fri, because they were right there, while I waited for my Target pick-up order. It completely underwhelmed me. Despite my high expectations, the fries were a major disappointment. In addition to the texture being unpleasantly rough, the flavor was nonexistent and crispy, but not in a good way. Additionally, the chicken tenders themselves were disappointing. I found them overbreaded and the texture wasn't very natural. Aside from being too crunchy and overpowering, the breading made it hard to enjoy the chicken itself. The chicken was complete lack of seasoning. The biggest issue was the sloppy BBQ sauce. It was like they poured the sauce straight from the bottle into the container without considering the texture or presentation. And don't even get me started on the taste - it was like they just used cheap, store-bought BBQ sauce that lacked any real depth or flavor. The most disappointing part was the price. Tenders and fries cost almost twenty dollars, which is highway robbery. I've had better at a fast food joint for a fraction of the price. Which is why I choose to return the order. One thing that really impressed me was the way the cashier dealt with the situation. Instead of getting angry or upset, he remained calm and professional, offering a refund and was willing to let me keep the food, but I chose to return it. Overall the service was excellent, but I do not plan to return.

Cali Burrito with BBQ flavor chicken.

Buffalo Spot is a great place to get some affordable quick take out. They specialize in their "buffalo fries" which ultimately is a side of fries with some flavored popcorn chicken on top. My go-to is usually the Cali Burrito which is the same ordeal as the Buffalo Fries but just wrapped in a burrito. I've been coming here since about 2016 so I'm not sure if today was just an off-day or if the quality has declined throughout the years as the chicken in my Cali Burrito tasted chewy and was just overall rubbery. It was quite empty upon my visit which is surprising as they're usually pretty popular. I would suggest the owner to stay on top of their quality control in order to avoid serving meh food and to draw the crowds in. Going forward I'll probably order my chicken well done to prevent this in the future. I do encourage people to come try it for themselves though! Their fries are really good and the chicken is usually not this low-quality so again, maybe I just came on an off-day.

As much as I love chicken, this place is fairly good. Not greasy or drenched in saucy sauce(you like the sauce, huh?). Unless request for it prior to placing your order. They will prepare your wings and fries upon ordering. This way, it's fresh and good. So do expect a wait approx. 15 - 20 minutes. I ordered the FP Traditional Wings(25), with Atomic Hot and Original hot flavors with a side of fries and two drinks. Great value. They have great deals on Tuesday and Thursday, so try to come during those days for the best price and experience. This location has rewards programs, so if you're a big fan of wings, it's so worth it. This place is unique in their own way, from design and presentation, it's pretty nice. If you're in the area, stop by and say hi. Enjoy it here or on the go. Share your experience. P.s. Don't forget to smile cause you're beautiful. SYOY!

One of the best places in Long Beach for wings. Service and quality is excellent. The staff is super friendly and very welcoming. The atmosphere is ideal to sit and watch a game and enjoy some delicious wings.

NEW FLAVORS ALERT The Buffalo Spot just dropped 2 new dry rub flavors and you need to try them ASAP!! The first is a lemon pepper butter rub and it has that delicious tangy and peppery flavor we've all had and love The second is a tropical heat rub that has the perfect balance of spice and kick to it The cool thing is that you can even add the dry rub to your buffalo fries I got there around 11am and there was no line, and I was helped right away. It's a little store, but it was nice and clean. Definitely check them out when you're craving some solid chicken

Buffalo Spot to satisfy that wings craving. Go on Tuesdays for their boneless wing day for 60 cents for each wing. Not sure what flavor you want? You are able to try the different sauces along with the fries. The fries are cooked perfectly unlike other wing places. (looking at you wing-stop) Our food came out surprisingly quick. Along with the great breadsticks it's definitely a place to check out along with the friendly staff.

Visted November 2024. Before diving into the review I have to note that the customer service greeter Luna was amazing, she answered my questions, knew the menu, and was a delight. The food itself was good. I gotta say that shake was stellar and I LOVED that it didn't use a strawberry concentrate but real jelly which included cut strawberry slices within the shake. The same can be said about the chunky peanut butter including its peanuts. The fries were crispy on the outside while soft on the inside. However, it was the seasoning and sauce that were extra super duper yummy. I believe it was their special sauce and Cajun seasoning. I ate it up... The overall restaurant was clean, the restroom itself had a tissue or two on the floor but I'd assume that's because of other customers- not the restaurant workers themselves. Additionally, I counted three of them so I'd give them a break anyways. While the whole graffitied is not my style, I and other costumers enjoyed the sport playing TVs & the funny chicken posters. 5/5 Recap: Yummy Sauce w/ yummy food but needs more funny chicken posters

Our order consisted of four SoCal fries (which are basically buffalo fries from The Buffalo Spot with a drizzle of cheese and ranch), a 10-piece nugget, a small fry, a large order of mozzarella sticks, a Thai tea, and a few sides of sauces. To speak bluntly, the experience turned sour for me as soon as I started placing my phone order. While I was ordering sauces, I was rudely cut off by the man working: "Yeah, yeah, anything else?" I felt like I was being rushed off the phone, even after mentioning it was my first time ordering and kindly asking questions about their sauces. The customer service here just overall gave me the ick. Anyways, onto the food. I was super excited for my SoCal fries. They have a variety of sauces to choose from, and I opted for the spicy BBQ. On first impression I was surprised with the generous portions. I ordered a small Socal fries that looked more like a medium. As soon as I dug into my meal, I was met with immediate disappointment; the popcorn chicken on my SoCal fries was extremely stale. It tasted as if they served us three-day-old fried chicken that had been left sitting out. My siblings and mom also agreed the chicken was super hard. I ended up just eating some of the fries and threw the rest away. Before tossing it, I tried drenching the fries in their Cajun sauce (which is over $1 per sauce, btw), and even though I really wanted to like it, it had a weird aftertaste. On top of that, I just couldn't get past how hard the chicken was. The Thai tea, fries, and mozzarella sticks were just decent. I'd also like to mention that when I was placing my order over the phone, the man said my total was $67 and some change. When I paid in person, the total somehow jumped to $83.69. I assumed that included the Cajun sauces I ordered over the phone, but it actually didn't. I ended up paying a second transaction for the sauces, which was around $8. Had I possibly been charged for the side of attitude I was also served? To reiterate: the service here sucks. Overall, I won't be back as the quality doesn't match prices. You'd think that a joint that specializes in fried chicken and wings would serve fresh chicken but on the contrary, my chicken was inedible, gross, and clearly old. I love supporting local businesses, but I refuse to support a place that exhibits rude customer service and serves subpar frozen food that I could throw together at home. I don't recommend this spot as there are much better establishments in the area.

I was missing a fish fillet, my shrimp was cold, my chicken was burnt but still ice cold, and my fries were so burnt that they were almost black and orange. This experience was absolutely appalling and I highly do not recommend this restaurant under any circumstances.

[Atmosphere]: The shop has indoor tables but no TVs, so don't come here expecting to watch sports games. [Ordering]: I placed an online pickup order and my food was ready 5 minutes before my specified pickup time. [Menu]: For wings, there are pan sauces and wok sauces. Their popular Dirty Elvis flavor falls under the wok sauce category (wings tossed in a sweet and smoky caramel sauce). Each order of Dirty Elvis comes with a minimum of 10 wings, but customers can choose a split-flavor option with 5 pieces of Dirty Elvis and 5 pieces of another selected flavor with online orders. For Shlap Muan Wings (pan sauces), customers can order a minimum of 4 pieces per flavor and two highlighted flavors are Cambodian Dirt (lemon pepper) and Water Buffalo. *** Dirty Elvis (10 pieces total - Split Flavor on Cambodian Dirt - $16.00): Those 5 Dirty Elvis wings were absolutely amazing - crispy and saucy. The Cambodian Dirt (lemon pepper) wings were solid, but in hindsight I probably should have just doubled down and gone with all 10 pieces of Dirty Elvis. Shlap Muan Wings (4 Pieces - Water Buffalo, $6.50): The dipping sauce had a good spicy kick, but it definitely will not be everyone's cup of tea especially for people who (1) are not fans of Buffalo wings or (2) cannot handle a mild version of Sriracha spicy level. *** S-tier for the Dirty Elvis wings and A-tier for the Shlap Muan Wings. For anyone who is a fan of Korean fried chicken or even Vietnamese fried chicken like Mama Hieu's, then Shlap Muan Chicken Wings is definitely worth trying.

As sometimes happens with immigrant communities by word of mouth and 'paying it forward', the burgeoning Cambodians began to be the majority owners of franchisees, until it resulted in the brand being sold to a Cambodian in 2009. Considering the largest concentration of Cambodians outside of Cambodia is in Long Beach, California, I wanted to try this particular location. They also sell donuts here, and my credit card bill actually listed the donut shop as the vendor...this for me is not a selling point, but was not noticeable during our visit. It's a walk-up set-up, where you order/pay for your food through security windows. We ordered a 12-piece family combo for $35.45, which included 3 pieces of breast/thigh/wing/leg, 2 small orders of fries, a coleslaw and 6 rolls. They also sell fried catfish and shrimp, so got a 4 pc shrimp ($3.85). They only sell drinks by cans or bottles, so got 4 cans of Coke/Pepsi/Squirt. It is clearly stated that each order is fried fresh, taking about 20 minutes. Our order was ready in 15 minutes, and we decided to dine-in (a small makeshift outdoor dining area with temporary tables was set-up). The chicken was well brined and had been fried well (leaving plenty of space between the chicken), with the outer coat being crunchy with a little bit of spice. For me it tasted very similar to the popular national chain, but with more consistency. The 'small' fries were not that at all, but very large...with one being enough to feed the four of us. The fries looked underdone, but were not. There were no condiments available, so the saving grace was the thin hot sauce that you could dip your fries and chicken into. The rolls were forgettable, and the coleslaw was grocery store quality (which I actually like). In fact, the chicken and sides reminded me of what you could get at a grocery store deli, except always getting the chicken fresh, instead of ones that have been fried too many to a basket and sitting too long under a heat lamp. Freshness definitely matters here. There was plenty of food for the 4 of us, with us taking half of the meal home. It reheated very well, providing us a good lunch the following day.

Baron quickly stepped in to help me out and I got the buffalo chicken tender fries with added lemon pepper, I was undecided on a beer but he patiently waited for me to make my decision. My meal felt like a pretty shareable portion but very delicious. Overall the vibe was chill.

We drove all the way from Downey because we've been to this location before and have always been served, even around 10:30PM. Tonight the doors were still open, so we walked in thinking service was still available. Instead of properly explaining anything, the worker immediately said, "No more orders, online only," with a rude attitude and zero professionalism and this was still 45 minutes before closing. No apology, no customer service, no attempt to explain respectfully. Just dismissive and unprofessional behavior. Owners, you seriously need to train your staff better because employees like this ruin the reputation of your business. I understand workers may not care the same way owners do, but the way this employee treated customers was completely unacceptable. I'll still support the restaurant because I know this isn't how the business usually operates, but management needs to address the worker who was there on May 13th at 10PM. Completely gross and unexpected experience.
