Whoever was working on 07/28 at 2:25pm was extremely rude. I was not even properly greeted, I was simply asked if I was here for a pick up order. When it came time for him to take my order, I was met with single word questions and was cut off before I could even finish my sentence. First time here so didn't really know what the menu was like. It's basically a teriyaki bowl place. I don't know the difference between the bowls and the plates. Because they both come with meat / rice. I just know the plate comes with a side salad. Are the portions the same? Anyway I got the white rice bowl with chicken with the standard waba sauce. And a order of dumplings. The service was professional. Food came out pretty quick. Everything was good, moist delicious chicken, on perfectly cooked white rice. I did get 1 of each of their sauces to try. They were all spicy. The chili sauce for the wontons was not that hot and was a little sweet, I liked it a lot. My favorite sauce was the Garlic Serrano sauce. Spicy but good. The only thing that bothered me is that they were out of green onion and for me I love a lot of green onion on my teriyaki bowls and sesame seeds. I think they need to keep eye on their stock because from some people green onion is a must. Also the portion sizes was a bit small. I will see if they can add extra meat or something because they didn't really "fill" the bowl with that much rice and it's a small amount of chicken. This place advertises about being one of the healthier fast foods out there. They share how their food offers low carbs and high proteins. I think they live up to that based off their menu, but they have very few options. It's like you can order their chicken, beef or both. They have a few other options, but this seems to be their main source of protein. Wanted to try everything WaBa Grill had to offer, so I tried to the WaBa plate and some dumplings. The WaBa plate is like their chicken and beef combo plate with a side of salad and a fruit. Everything was simply seasoned and tasted very good. Their brown rice was actually cooked unlike some restaurants I've been to. The salad had a simple vinaigrette. My review would've been a 4 star even with their limited options, but the chef managed to burn 2 out of 5 dumplings. I feel uncomfortable giving this place 4 stars because the quality of their food may be inconsistent based off my experience. read more

This is a good location, in my opinion. I've never had an issue with ordering food from this spot. Normally I call it in and take it to go. The staff has always been friendly and professional over the phone and in-person as well when I go in to pay. Now onto the food. I used to only order their chicken bowls, but my boyfriend gets the combo plate (chicken and beef) and he got me into the beef as well. I now order my plate with white meat chicken and beef with brown rice. Their brown rice has always been perfectly cooked in my experiences and not dry. I also usually ask for only broccoli instead of the salad and they are pretty accommodating with that. A couple of times they're messed up and given me all the veggies (broccoli, carrot and cabbage) and I don't mind because I like it all, but I prefer broccoli because I feel it's more nutritional in general and filling. Now onto the sauces - yeah the sriracha is good and don't even get me started on the waba sauce, but have you tried their garlic serrano sauce??? Amazingly delicious! I actually only use that instead of the sriracha and I also don't usually add extra waba sauce. Just whatever comes on the meat already. I believe they make the garlic serrano sauce in-house because they serve it in those little plastic cups with the lids. It's seriously so good though. Updating my previous review, as I've ordered from here several times since my first review and it has not continued to be good. I like the menu a lot, and the online ordering is awesome. However, there always seems to be an issue with my food itself. Once there was a big long hair just sitting right on top of the bowl. There have been multiple times they have left out items or ignored special requiests. I continued to order for lunch because it was close, quick and convenient to work. But no more. Today, my food literally tasted like dish soap. Like someone accidentally sprayed my food with a cleaning solution or did not properly rinse utensils/bowls/whatever before handling the food. I can't taste anything but Dawn, and it's really gross and overpowering. I think this is the last time I'll order from here. read more

Very slow service. Frustrating that there is no sense of urgency, esp during a lunch rush

I recently placed an ordered for 10 and drove away with the bags of food only to find that when I arrived home all the meats were missing. I have to admit that I was upset when I realized part of my order was missing however when I called the location they immediately apologized for the mistake. Empty carbs just aren't my thing for dinner, Waba Grill, and you should embrace that, not punish me. Lots of love to the friendly workers here who made sure my order was right, but I just can't come back ------------------------------------ A-okay. Today was my first time here. I picked up a half half veggie bowl with brown rice and added avocado due yelp reviews. I would say the portion of beef to chicken was reasonable. However, I must say the beef had far too much teriyaki sauce (did I maybe get the bottom of the bunch?) to be enjoyable. I had to drink a bunch of water to wash it down. Other than that I felt like both the beef and chicken were cooked well. The veggies were delicious but somehow the base of a cabbage made it into my bowl. Have you ever had the base of a cabbage? No? Well that's because it's very bitter. I tried to eat it because I've never actually had the base be put in my food and I figured what the heck, but that is definitely inedible- which makes me wonder about quality control... Overall, though, the staff was warm and welcoming, and my food was ready quickly and I felt the price was reasonable for what I received. We just ate here a few days ago. First time there and first time at any Waba Grill. When we first walked in we were greeted by the entire staff. Menu was easy to understand, good options, and reasonable prices. To me it comes off similar to Flame Broiler, but I feel Waba is a tad fancier and more items like the salad. I chose the Waba plate which is half and half with the kale salad. The chicken and beef were delicious!! The kale salad was very good! We really enjoyed the food and will come back. Wish there was a closer one to home though. Karena (sorry about spelling if wrong) was a great employee! She offered to refill our drinks, take our trash, and get my wife to-go lids. Low fat, High protein, and Low carbs is the motto for Waba Grill. Most of the time when you include health, taste, and satisfaction in one sentence you are asking for trouble. Most health conscience restaurants lack flavor and taste, right? Well, Waba Grill is one of the exceptions to the rule. This place is where Fast Food + Asian Fusion = Absolute Deliciousness. Waba Grill is known for its Charbroiled Chicken & Steak bowls/plates with white or brown rice. Plus, why not throw a few vegetables in there too! The chicken is skinless, boneless and you have the option to get all white meat (of course that's extra $$). The steak seems of high quality; unlike other fusion chains where the meat doesn't look like actual meat. Unfortunately, I can't speak on the Salmon and Shrimp entrees but I'm sure you can find a picture or review regarding the same. The specialty that keeps me smiling here is a side order of Ribs. I don't order them for myself but I will usually steal one or two off my "companion's" plate. Also, I do like that they have a small service bar with green onions and peppers for add-ons. So far the service and quality has been pleasant at this establishment. My only complaint for the company is the seasonal fruit. How long is the ORANGE in season? Could you possibly offer me an apple, mango, pineapple slice, melon, strawberry, or even a grape? There are so many fruit options. Overall, I like this place for eating smart and healthy.
