The new ownership really revived this place, it used to be dead. Now, the food is better than it has ever been. Plenty of indoor seating, kept clean by the diverse staff and owner. Favorite thing to get are their breakfast burritos, healthy portion for the price; not something you find often nowadays. I've complained to the owner that my food wasn't hot enough and he warmed it up in his hands -- right in front of me and my family! Don't sleep on their dessert items, both the banana pudding and their new cheesecake up are top tier. Make sure to get "Call The Morgue" level spice, if you can handle sriracha, you can handle that. This may be the most underrated breakfast burrito in Long Beach. I mean, I would think that a Nashville Hot Fried Chicken Breakfast Burrito would be on everybody's hit list, but it's surprisingly empty every time that I come in here.  This burrito is awesome. The nashville hot chicken is so crispy and flavorful. I get medium/hot depending on how I'm feeling. It's actually pretty spicy though! I think this burrito is just crafted really well, like the scrambled egg is not just scrambled and thrown into the burrito. THey cook it in a thin sheet, and roll it up with the burrito, so you get an even bite of egg (and everything else) throughout the burrito. The hashbrowns inside are also preferable to just plain potatoes in any breakfast burrito. It's cheesy, and that sauce is really good too. Maybe even get some extra sauce on the side to cut the heat.  It's bomb, and you should put this on your list of must-have breakfast burritos in Long Beach. read more

I got the original Nashville breakfast burrito and felt like it was missing something... or maybe two things. The flavor was pretty mild and the chicken was dry. I tried compensating for it with some hot sauce to help fill it back in but it could only do so much. The service was good. The worker took my order promptly and accurately. The wait wasn't terrible but a bit longer than I expected - it was also a hot day but felt even hotter in the restaurant. The smell is oil, regret, and whatever cologne is used to intimidate women. Then there's Jerry. Jerry is the owner, manager, cashier, and self-appointed moral authority. He has the energy of a man who believes customer service is a personal attack. I watched him sigh -- loudly -- every time someone approached the counter, like each order was an inconvenience he hadn't emotionally prepared for. When I asked a question about the menu, Jerry stared at me for a full five seconds and said, "It's chicken. What do you want it to be?" Fair question, Jerry. I guess I wanted it to be edible. Someone ahead of me asked for mild sauce. Jerry laughed. Actually laughed. Then said, "This place isn't for you," like he was guarding a sacred flame instead of a heat lamp. The food took 40 minutes. I think there're more trimmings than chicken pieces in these 2 items...lots of carbs (mac/tortilla +potatoes) server was kind enough to give us samples of mild and medium spicy, we went to mild as it still has a little spicy kick which was enough for us. soft drink was refillable and we had 4 cups since we've just walked 3.5hrs and came in thirsty. the place is clean and server cleaned up right after the table was cleared from the previous customers. Cluckin mac was recommended by the woman behind the counter and it had no seasoning, flavor or spice, I would not recommend this. The chicken in it isn't coated in any spice either, it's a plain tender with bland fries, bland mac and a dusting of powder on top of the mac that gets lost. Super disappointing. The main chick was bland and the coleslaw tasted like watered down salad. The tender was the only potentially redeeming item. Everything, while technically edible, felt like a rip off and I wish I could get my money back. Would not recommend. Try any other Nashville hot chicken place - even Dave's is better. My Husband and I traveled the nation to where ever the food took us and that included Nashville where we experienced the "OG" hot chicken spot...
