I can't believe it's taken me this long to write this review. This is my go to Hamburger spot. Yelpers, listen, your awesome, keep writing your reviews. I found this spot because of the yelp community. I am a person who does not eat Red Meat, so finding a good hamburger close to home can be a bit of a task. This little spot (No really it is little) is located on a corner and if your not carefully you will past it. It doesn't look like much but there is always somebody arriving or leaving for this spot. It's a 10/10 recommend. I have taken several people to this spot and they love it. The menu is simple, it giving "Pinky's" vibes but with a better taste, Yep I said it. I believe the gentlemen that is always working is the owner of the restaurant, he told me his name but I have forgotten it, Sorry! He is friendly and is mostly always here. I usually order Number 2 with a veggie patty and grilled onions and everything else including pickles. The fries are always hot and crispy. The pink lemonade is a little too sweet for me so I add a little water and that does the trick, but that's a me issue. I've ever have to wait long. I usually pull up, park in front, jump out and wait about 15 minutes then I'm driving back home with fires in one hand and the other on my steeling wheel with no cares in the world. read more

I asked for the fries to be crispy, so the chili doesn't immediately make them soggy. I opted to eat them in my car, instead of sitting in that heat. Wanted fast food. Found this shack near by. A burger shack that is!. Ordered an original hamburger, #1 Double cheeseburger combo and beast Chilli fries. Took a bite and it was delicous!!! The hamburger tasted like a hybrid of In and Out and a jumbo jack from Jack in the box. The chilli fries was huge! All was delicious.. no complaints. Definitely come back. It is a hidden gem. Definitely my favorite burger place in LB! I've only been a few times, but I usually get The Big Bixby. It's a massive burger with 4 patties! When I first went, I was a bit worried they wouldn't be able to do a lettuce wrapped version of their burgers. But, they do! I've been trying to decrease the amount of carbs I eat, but still need to feel full. So, eating at Bixby Classic Burger definitely helps with that! The patties themselves are delicious! They taste like In-n-Out patties, but slightly better seasoning. The patties are also a little bit thicker as well. The guy at the window is friendly, patient and takes your orders pretty quickly. The food also comes out SO fast! I really appreciate that because I always come here while on break from work. You'll get the old time-y burger joint on the side of the road feel too. They do have tables you can eat at though. Super cool, super casual. Definitely recommend eating here! read more

I had the Chili dog. Not bad yet not the best. I could not tell if the chili is homemade or from a can. The bun was a bit toasted so it can mask if the bread was stale or not. I would order the chili dog again. Also had the cheese burger. Like other comments, it was similar to In N Out. In N Out still reigns supreme on the comparison. This is the place. This is the ninth or 10th stop in my Bixby Knolls food tour. Everything was A+. California hotdog- looked delicious. I didn't taste it. Kevin said it was very good. Beast mode fries- covered in cheese, grilled onions, and delicious homemade chili. Well constructed with a lovely cheese pull. Hotdog with ketchup- high quality hotdog with a grilled bun. I like the hotdog/bun ratio to be pretty even and this was. I don't want a bunch of hotdog sticking out of the bun. Lettuce, wrapped single cheeseburger - like I said it's better than In-N-Out. Held together well despite me forgetting to ask for no sauce. That used to be my go to burger at In-N-Out, double-double protein style, no spread, raw onions. Bixby Classic Burgers has ruined all other burgers for me. We also got a single cheeseburger on a bun. I forgot to order grilled onions and they put raw onions which I had asked for. All of the food was fresh and the burger meat was delicious. The service was stellar, friendly staff, and everything in the order was correct. We just ate here for the first time, everything was quite tasty. It is very similar to In-N-Out, except the burger patties are not overcooked and the french fries are much better. And I do like In-N-Out fries but the fries here are super fresh, thicker cut, and highly seasoned with season salt. The bun does not seem to be a sponge dough bun, like In-N-Out, and while it is a different bun, I would say it is just as good. We will definitely come here again, it's nice to find a local business to support that offers tasty fresh food. read more

Bixby is a small burger shack on the corner of a busy street. It's clean, bright, and modern, and the service is friendly and efficient. The ordering system is through a walk up window. There are a few picnic style tables in front but most people get their food to-go. I ordered a couple of burgers, chili cheese fries, and a corn dog. The burgers were pretty tasty but nothing wow. The corn dog was also good. But the chili cheese fries had an unusual flavor, kind of a tangy which I didn't care for. This is a little burger place. It's a little bit bigger than a shack. But it's pretty small. They have old school diner barstools around the counter on the outside, and three covered picnic tables. The menu is small. But it's pretty classic. I got a Bixby Double Combo. The fries were good and cooked well. The burger had thick slices of American cheese, onions, tomatoes, and 1000 island dressing. The burger was tasty. But it's nothing like In-n-Out, as some of the reviews said. It's a well made basic burger. The service was fast and pleasant. It's a neat little place. Unfortunately, it has limited hours (10-6 m-sat), so I won't have many opportunities to come back. They have good prices especially considering the current rising food prices. And a A+ for their staff. To hey are friendly and efficient. If you don't eat meat, they have you covered. They offer veggie replacement for beef. Outside seating is available on 3 picnic bench sets. They have street parking and share a large parking lot. What are you waiting for?
