Just about to get started!! Got the card at The Taste of LosAl.

I like this spot when shopping on Broadway. There is a small parking lot in the back, which really helps on the busy street which speaking of, the patio is pleasant to dine on. Everything thing we shared was well flavored and balanced. The only hiccup was the service being a bit slow. Very nice service, so it is more of a staffing issue than anything else.

Came back and all of my sentiments are the same, and then some! Food's fantastic, love that they switch up their menu (if they still have this amazing pot pie, get it), the ambience is cool and casual, great for date night, and our server was friendly and charismatic.

The Attic has been one of my favorite spots since before I even moved to Long Beach. I definitely need to try more of their menu, but my go-to is always the mac and cheese with Hot Cheetos it's not just hype, there's a reason it's the number one recommended dish. The mac and cheese is made perfectly, and the cheese melts so well with the Hot Cheetos. It's also dog friendly, which makes the experience even better. My dog can get a little anxious and vocal, so I'm mindful and head out once he starts getting chatty The service is always amazing, and the building itself is a must see.. it honestly feels like you're in a home enjoying a really nice meal.

What a great brunch spot! The Attic was recommended to us by a friend, and we had the best time here grabbing an early brunch when driving between LA and the OC. Service was amazing and food was great. We were actually told that everything was made fresh here, and if we wanted something that wasn't on the menu just to ask. It's a cozy location with an interesting build out around the house which is where the Attic is located. PROPS: Amazing food and service SLOPS: Parking is very limited behind this location, and nearby.

I have NO clue how it's taken me this long to finally try The Attic. I've lived the majority of my life in Long Beach and somehow never came here. I will say an ex of mine did bring me a takeout Mac & cheese (Cheetos) take out plate from here many years ago which I thought was good, but a little gimmicky to me... but now that I finally had the chance to dine-in here, I understand the hype. We had an excellent server (don't recall her name unfortunately) for the entire meal which made the experience great. She recommended us a great refreshing alcoholic beverage (considering I had a hangover anyways) and we were torn between several food options but ended up with the cheese burger and breakfast Sammie since we both wanted to try both items and figured we could just split. Both were delicious, but I really have to hand it to the breakfast sandwich. Everything hit perfectly and my taste buds were very happy. We both agreed with this. I'd rate the breakfast sandwich a solid 9/10 and the cheeseburger an 8.2/10. Both very great options, Love the vibe of this place. It seems like it used to be a house back in the day which became converted into a restaurant and/or business at some point. Will be back again!

We walked up and we're greeted immediately by Jordan who is completely lovely. We sat outside as the weather was good and there weren't too many people. We ordered from the happy hour menu. My fiancee got gumbo and I got the Attic cheeseburger. It was one of the best burgers Ive ever eaten and I don't say that lightly as a burger lover. Fiancee loved the creamy gumbo. Our water was constantly being refilled and we were being checked on. Great! For dessert I got the affogato and it was delicious. Perfect balance of hot and cold.

The Breakfast Rice in a Stone Bowl is hands down the best brunch item in Long Beach!

Best brunch spot in Long Beach! Or dare I saw allll of Los Angeles?!? It's the chef(s), the ambiance and the service that make this quaint spot perfection! There is a small lot in the back to park or plenty of street parking. It has a large outdoor dining section and cute bar, and is VERY dog friendly as well! (They even have a dog menu!!) They have inside seating too and it's an old, vintage house converted into this charming restaurant space. The bathrooms are clean and large! I can't say enough about literally every menu item here, but I'll highlight some. The menu is so eclectic but boasts southern upscale cuisine and it is unique, creative and very satisfying! The brunch menu is king, in my opinion, and is served every day until three, so if you're a late riser, you can't miss out on this late brunch, that is the best (again) in Long beach! I love the stone rice bowl-the flavors will change your life! The BEC is also phenomenal-it's a McDonald's style huge hash brown patty, topped with bacon and yummy scrambled eggs! It's unique and fabulous! I also adore the Nashville chicken sandwich. The flavor combinations in it are mouthwatering and it's better than any other chicken sandwich I've ever had! The chocolate cake should NOT be slept on and their beignets (yes!!!) are fresh and craveworthy. The happy hour is awesome for happy hour seekers like myself. Discounted craft cocktails, beer and wine and I recommend the Bon Temps! I love the happy hour burger-TRUST ME on that and thank me later! Fries are hand cut and amazing as well! The service is perfection and the staff is friendly, polished and top notch. I almost didn't want to write a review because I almost ALMOST just eat to keep this hidden gem to myself! But I have to give them credit for all that they are. Try them out immediately!!

Shrimp Cocktail

I've been to The Attic several times. I think I prefer brunch. I didn't see many menu options that appealed to me. Shrimp cocktail was presented well. Flavors were as expected. Ordered bread that was yummy but $2 for one slice. The Mac & Cheetos was a disappointment. I've had the dish before but this time it lacked flavor, noodles were too al dente. Ordered the. Citrus Sea Bream. Again, this dish was average; salad that came with it was good. Server and wait staff were all excellent; friendly and attentive. Dirty dishes were removed quickly. Nice covered patio with heat lamp and music was playing. Small parking lot and street parking available.

Five stars just for the ricotta french toast. That thing is amazing. We had a late lunch at The Attic and everyone was happy with their food. My wife's deep fried shrimp and chips were excellent, as was my Caesar salad. The four of us shared the french toast for dessert, which totally hit the spot. The. We rolled ourselves to our car and went home for naps.

Just recently came back here after some years and although the food was okay it's unfortunately not the Attic I remember. Our server was very tentative though and the outdoor seating area always is refreshing and flooded with cute doggy's walking down the street so there's a plus.

Our meal was amazing! We had a reservation but seating was plentiful on a Monday evening. The location is super cute and although most seating is outside they had heat lamps and transparent wall covers to keep the warmth in. I had the new South Eastern Pork Rib on a rice cake and it was amazing. It was Crunchy, sweet, and so tasty.

I can't wait to eat here, again! All of the food we ate was delicious, the drinks were great, and our server was friendly and had a great attitude. I loved the way the restaurant looked, as well - very clean and aesthetically pleasing. Highly recommend!!

Charming establishment that offers GR8T food, friendly service, and cosy settings that is perfect for small or large groups of friends and/or family to gather and enjoy an over-all meal. As stated in the attached receipt - we had the shucked fresh oysters, biscuits & sorghum, Grandma's cornbread, the porterhouse, the salmon, and the ratatouille - all very delicious and perfect for sharing....family style - this way we can eat variety of dishes :-) The host and server were attentive and friendly... Highly recommend to all - dinner and brunch - you cannot go wrong.

A very welcoming vibe upon entry, we were greeted by a friendly couple who answered our questions about popular drink flavors. We decided to go with a Hot Cinnamon Dulce Latte and an Iced Blueberry Lavender Latte. While waiting, there were plenty of chairs, tables, a comfy couch and even a bar area to sit and relax. Tons of board games, books and wonderfully mellow music helps make the experience feel comforting and inviting. Our drinks were prepared quickly and shouted at the coffee bar for pickup. The presentation was great, but the flavors, out of this world! The Cinnamon Dulce Latte was OUTSTANDING. So good, in fact, that my girlfriend stole it from me! Not to worry, her Blueberry Lavender Latte was also top-notch, with a smooth, not-to-sweet flavor combination. Friendly staff (which comes with occasional karaoke renditions from the Bluetooth speakers), a chill vibe and outstanding drinks make this a top spot in the area for hardcore coffee lovers. Very rich and flavorful. I kept looking at photos of their take on chicken and waffles and knew I had to try it. Seriously epic and was good as it looked. They coated the chicken in a chili rub that gave it a sweet and spicy flavor when paired with their maple syrup. Served on top of a waffle and topped with an egg. I loved it and would probably order again on my next visit. My wife had the American plate which was your classic eggs, bacon, potatoes, and sourdough toast combo. High quality ingredients elevated it beyond your typical diner food. Drinks were great too. I had their house made bloody mary which had a nice kick to it. My wife had their brunch version of a Corpse Reviver cocktail. After our meals were done we finished with an Irish coffee since everyone was ordering them. With that being said, the question becomes why write a review for a place that not only has street clout but also is a darling for foodies? First, any place or person cannot rely on their august reputation to coast to their golden years, especially in a glut like LA's dining scene. An eatery must always maintain itself with current times and update its eats and design/vibe to remain competitive lest their sheen and luster fade. And thus, I add to the rose petals thrown at this place's feet but also challenge their aesthetic because I found it a bit disjointed--- like a ruby red rose whose stem is made out bark and twig. I had only heard good things about this place and decided to try it with my friend Alexa. She and I had agreed to meet there at 11:00 but I know enough about brunch experiences at celebrated places to go there early or else we might endure a wait that kills a good time. Yes, I would wait for the both us to avoid this possible pitfall. I waited 45 minutes in the line to order. By the time I got close to the register, Alexa arrived. We decided to split the chicken and waffles and also the skillet. She wanted to find a table, but I explained to her that there was a sign I saw as I waited that explained that patrons should not to find their own tables, staff will help them find one. We also got the smashed potatoes and each of us got a coffee. When I was there, waiting, I enjoyed seeing the emblems in red. For instance, I clipped the red door that I passed to get into the joint. It was the threshold that moved me from a line waiter to near customer. And thus this shade of red becomes that much more precious. The rose red was more pronounced and literal in some of the exterior walls of the joint. I clipped a rose silhouette that was precious, and kind of defining of the motif of the place. But it also had mentions of the movie of its a wonderful life. For example, before I got to the cashier I saw the phrase, "every time a bell rings an angel gets its wings." In back of me there were several photos from the film. Now, I have never seen the flick so perhaps roses are predominant in the movie. One of the staff members said that Zuzu was the dog in the film. To make it abundantly clear, I am not sure how red roses connect to a Yuletide favorite. Perhaps the answer lies in the film. But for me on this day, the two primary anchors of design were in competition and not not in cohesion. Perhaps, if the red roses were winter blue the connecting tissue would be easier to understand. The food was strong and easy to enjoy. What surprised me is that I expected to enjoy the waffle and chicken plate more than than skillet but I enjoyed the latter more. The skillet had those fluffy eggs that are made with milk or cream or bliss from a bovine. Now true, there is not much complexity in the dish, but the dish was something basic done extremely well, which is a prize to the patrons. I guess atop of all I could write would be that the skillet had familiar flavors- like cheese, and sausage, and garnish- but elevated to delicious comfort. The waffle and chicken plate was made scrumptious by the maple butter. By the time I got to the chicken and waffle the chicken had lost its fried crisp. The flavor of the batter was there 1000% but without the fried taste the chicken suffered. It was my fault. I did not wait for my food, my food waited for me and in that span of time it had lost its umph! like many do when they wait too long for someone they anticipate. The mashed potatoes were also an excellent bite. Again, familiar, not innovative, but a strong showing of a classic. I particularly loved the well balanced execution of fluff inside and the crisp of the potatoe outside. The smash in this plate was a solid yum. Alexa and I sat outside, right next to the patio, and enjoyed all of the dishes to a good extent. This place definetely offers great classics, with some modern touches. It is an easy answer to where should we go to brunch on a lazy Sunday when you have time to spare.
