    Chicken Cobb salad
    Lang B.

I have been here several times before but has been a while, ate here a week ago last Sunday. There is plenty of parking, but the lot tends to get packed on a Sunday. I love that there is a huge wall sized menu as you walk in to the left. You order and pay at the register and find an open seat. The staff brings your food to your table. Everyone I have visited the staff is always friendly. I ordered the chicken Cobb salad, I do not like blue cheese and the staff was able to substitute that with Parmesan. Since it was such a nice day, I sat outside in their cute covered patio area . Delicious fresh salad. Big portion size and they definitely didn't skimp on the salad fixings. The only thing I would have liked was the option to have the salad tossed, the dressing came on the side. But nonetheless I still enjoyed the salad.

I was craving ribs for dinner and Georgia's was the first to come to mind. The ribs are nice and tender off the bone with a good splash of barbecue sauce. I also appreciate the cornbread is complimentary as a dine-in guest. My sister ordered their shrimp basket and we upgraded to Cajun fries. The only thing was tracking down a bottle of ketchup- although we probably could have asked the servers, but we didn't want to be a bother. It was the dinner rush after all. We also like the outside dining is dog-friendly so our pup could people watch while we dined.

My family and I tried Georgia's for a late lunch a week ago. We ordered at the counter and were seated on the shaded patio outside with our small dog. The small plate of cornbread was great - tender and moist and served with I think apple butter. One of our dishes, the sea bass with lemon sauce, came quickly and the seasoning was smooth and creamy while having a a nice acidity to it. That, however, is where the positive ends. The rest of our party had to wait 30 minutes for the other 2/3 of our meals to arrive. During this time, there were other staff who were clearly available (wiping windows, clearing tables, etc.), but no one came to update us on where our food was. We had to get servers' attention, after which we were informed there was a large catering order causing the holdup. Which, fine; but as a guest who's physically seated in your restaurant, why send out only one dish and say the rest was coming in a few minutes? Why, more importantly, after those "few minutes" would you not provide an estimate for the others and say bring out more cornbread? Now, they did offer us some beignets (comped), but there was no reason it should have taken half an hour to send out a tri tip sandwich and blackened chicken pasta. I get the impression Georgia's prioritizes mobile orders, but this experience definitely makes me reconsider coming again in person.

Tasty Hot and delicious food. Today they were a little slow bring out the Cornbread but all good.

Parking is horrible. I had to drive around the entire plaza three times. I was about to give up when someone was leaving and I snagged the spot. After a long walk to the restaurant we were greeted by super friendly employees. You order at the register and find a table. 100% of the tables were filthy and not once during our entire visit did staff clean them. Several customers were complaining about it. This restaurant has excellent fried catfish. So much flavor! I loved the black eyed peas too. Collard greens didn't seem washed enough and were very gritty. I couldn't eat much of it. My wife had the fried chicken but said it was just OK. We also shared some tasty fried green tomatoes and I got a cup of their outstanding jambalaya. Besides the greens I really enjoyed my meal. I probably would not return though since the dining room was filthy which makes me wonder about the kitchen. Parking was horrible but there was a outdoor market thing happening so maybe that contributed to that.

Been meaning to write a review for Georgia's. I've tried the catfish, collards, and jambalaya rice. The fish was prepared to order and the collards and jambalaya were fresh as well. The tastes wasn't bad. The greens were better than some I've had in soul food restaurants - not bitter. The fish was really good. The rice didn't quite do it for me though. The portion size was great! The place is located in an outdoor strip mall. There are about 15 tables and it can accommodate small groups. Staff were helpful and friendly. Overall not a bad dining experience.

I love coming here to Georgia's Restaurant at the Long Beach exchange! If your into great food and have a thing for southern cooking here you are! I ordered this! Blackened chicken sandwich with fries and bacon on the sandwich! Yum! Service was good and friendly and the atmosphere is well great! Love this place every time I come here! Check this place out! Food is great!

The cornbread is very moist and tasty. I got the fried chicken with mac and cheese and grits. The chicken had good flavor and crunch. The grits definitely needed the added butter.

Good quality on the food ! I really enjoyed my tri tip salad it was loaded and came with a yummy piece of toast. Also when we sat the servers brought out delish cornbread. We ordered Mac and cheese for my little one. The ambiance is casual you order at the counter and sit it's perfect for fast and tasty lunch. My only reason where there could be some improvement is price ? We paid 90 for 3 adults and 1 baby to dine. Maybe that's a standard now in a lot of places but for an order at the counter I think it's a little high. Thank you!

Michelob Ultra - Free with the $5 Birthday Month promo

BIRTHDAY MONTH=BIRTHDAY COUPONS=HAPPY RODNEY $5 Birthday Month Promo for Rewards members Upon consuming my free birthday month sandwich at Ike's, and afterwards dining at Sosogu for a Signature Roll & Cocktail, Georgia's Restaurant was the next stop on the agenda. Hmmmm, I could use the $5 on a side, or dessert, perhaps. But, since I was quite satiated, I decided a nice cold Michelob Ultra would hit the spot on a hot August day. And, it did! $4.95, which made the beer absolutely free! Service was great. Georgia's was mildly busy, and I had my beer in hand quickly, which I downed in a few minutes. Thirst quenching! Georgia's provides a decent Birthday Month promo, which I avail myself of, every year. A free beer is nothing to kvetch about, and I look forward to when August rolls around, again.

Food was good. Not your "grandmas" southern cookin but it was good for west coast "southern" food. Collards were surprisingly tasty. Service was quick and friendly. Restaurant was clean and welcoming, limited seating inside but they do have patio space for dining. Overall it's a good place.

It's been a little while since I left a review so here goes! Thank you for greeting my family as soon as we walked into the establishment, feeling welcome is KEY! Mom enjoyed her Louisiana tilapia and shrimp. My fried catfish was on point, crispy on the outside yet tender and juicy on the inside. Special points for the restaurant being clean! I know things are tough for many business owners at the moment, but walking into a restaurant where dishes are all over the table is unattractive I'm excited to one day meet the owners (putting that out into the universe )

First time trying from a recommendation. Expectations were not high because I really don't like any soul food restaurants. But was willing. Ordered the catfish with mac n cheese & yams. The catfish was not cooked fully in the middle. Slimy. The yams were not to be desired. The mac n cheese was edible. A bit dry. My mother ordered the catfish and grits. Grits were lukewarm. She never received all of the condiments asked for. Her catfish came several minutes later. By this time the grits were cold. She asked to have the grits heated. They 're-cooked' her entire order. The grits were a little warmer but with lumps. The staff tried to rectify the issue of my undercooked catfish by asking if I wanted them to make it over. I declined. They asked if I wanted something else. I declined. They removed the charge. They then asked if we wanted free dessert. We declined. They asked if we wanted credit for a future visit. We declined. Customer service to rectify the issues were appreciated. They tried Not interested in returning unfortunately.

Skirt steak. Awkward flavor profile, have to drown it in chimi!

Bristy, our server, thoroughly explained the details of certain dishes such as the Mac & Cheetos. She also checked in on our table throughout the meal and came around often to refill our water. As for the food itself, it was very delicious. My favorite dish was the artichokes. They had a somewhat smoky flavor and the outermost leaves were crunchy and a nice contrast to the soft inside of the artichokes. They were also served in a tangy sauce that complimented the vegetable well. My friend's favorite item was the macaroni and cheese. It was chewy and creamy, and the pasta, which Bristy informed us was made in-house, was what my friend thought elevated the dish because it was a nice texture. We additionally ordered the gumbo which was also tasty but not as yummy as the other two dishes that we ordered. It is not a spicy dish if one is concerned about spice level. As for the ambiance of the restaurant, we enjoyed how the atmosphere felt casual and almost like you were sitting in somebody's house (the wallpaper and interior design is pretty) while still maintaining an elegant aesthetic design. If I was in the area, I would return to The Attic for dinner. My friend and I had a very welcoming and positive experience in terms of the service and food respectively at this establishment.

There is inside seating what looks like a converted house? There is outside seating at tables or at the bar. The menu was interesting which had a theme of shrimp; there was eggs Benedict with shrimp, but not an item to order a regular one without it? Sure maybe could have ordered and asked without shrimp but pay the same price? Pass. Ok when I called they mentioned they serve brunch until 3? 3:30 I can't remember. The server mentioned they serve the brunch all day? Either way when I got to ordering this month on the menu it highlighted the shrimp po boy. I tried to order and nope, out. How can you be out of the item highlighted as the special in the middle of the day? When the place is not packed? I tried to order the lobster roll and again, out. I was tempted to order their short rib poutine since in theory it sounded good, but at this point I tried something simple I would hope they have in the kitchen chicken and waffles. The plate came and it looks good. If you look at the picture at the bottom of the chicken you can see a dark something. As I lift my chicken I found a huge burnt piece of breading pictured next. On top of the chicken is green onion I think? Who eats that with chicken and waffles? If I am wrong, a garnish is totally unnecessary for this dish. The chicken was moist. There are spices in the flour breading I can see but hard to taste what it is. The waffle is a hard pass for me. The waffle was crispy which is good, but also thin and dry and I couldn't taste any sweetness until I put maple syrup on it. The syrup came out warm which was nice. It's clear watching the people at the bar this is a local hangout. The chicken and waffles were $19 which if I was in the bay I think it's about right, but I think a little high considering the level of food I got. Supposedly this place is packed specifically on Sundays. The server doesn't know why? I'm not interested to even try to come back for a second chance and just be told sold out of the menu.

Or a diner in big bear lake. It's charming. Anyways, I ordered the dinner for 2 for my mother and father. It came with a bit of bbq chicken, half rack of ribs, tri tip, catfish, cornbread, 2 sides, okra, sweet Potatoe fries and fried green tomatoes. I ordered myself a full rack baby back rib combo and it also came with two sides. French fries and mac. On top of that I ordered some hush puppies . I did not realize that I ordered that much food!!! It was sooo much. Cornbread - meh doesn't really have enough flavor but it's warm and you can add butter. The catfish- the breading was nice and crispy. French fries and mac and cheese- you can't ness that up. The tri tip- probably the best protein that we ate. Very soft. Ribs- needed more bbq sauce but you can order more. It was way better the next day when I heated them up. Chicken- I didn't eat it. My mom did. Hush puppies- fried cornbread. Not my thing. Sweet Potatoe fries- staple Fried green tomatoes- surprised me, that was actually good for literally a fried green tomato Okra- first bites, amazing, after a few it was too soggy for me. Just get the dinner for two. It's more than enough and you get to try a little bit of everything for 58 + dollars. Was it amazing? Not everything, but I appreciate the portion sizes and the variety.

I grabbed a straw, punctured the cup, and took a big gulp waiting for the sugar high I was craving! Sadly, it too was less than I desired. Then the Mac and cheese wasn't as flavorful either. I began wondering what type of pallet my co-worker had? This is BBQ for babies. I did finish the food but definitely had to do some "doctoring up" of my own. C'mon Johnny, reach for the stars! Very rich and flavorful. I kept looking at photos of their take on chicken and waffles and knew I had to try it. Seriously epic and was good as it looked. They coated the chicken in a chili rub that gave it a sweet and spicy flavor when paired with their maple syrup. Served on top of a waffle and topped with an egg. I loved it and would probably order again on my next visit. My wife had the American plate which was your classic eggs, bacon, potatoes, and sourdough toast combo. High quality ingredients elevated it beyond your typical diner food. Drinks were great too. I had their house made bloody mary which had a nice kick to it. My wife had their brunch version of a Corpse Reviver cocktail. After our meals were done we finished with an Irish coffee since everyone was ordering them. Perfect service, relaxing atmosphere, and delicious food will definitely have me returning very soon! Parking is free for 2 hours at the nearby garage on 3rd and is a very short walk. The closer garage on Broadway is not free. You can make restaurant reservations on their website but it wasn't needed when we went.

Our group of four had a chance to stop by for an early dine-in dinner, and found the chicken to well prepared and tasty. Originally founded in 1976 in Los Angeles by a enterprising franchisee who wanted to create his own fast food brand, Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken soon became very popular with LA residents. As sometimes happens with immigrant communities by word of mouth and 'paying it forward', the burgeoning Cambodians began to be the majority owners of franchisees, until it resulted in the brand being sold to a Cambodian in 2009. Considering the largest concentration of Cambodians outside of Cambodia is in Long Beach, California, I wanted to try this particular location. They also sell donuts here, and my credit card bill actually listed the donut shop as the vendor...this for me is not a selling point, but was not noticeable during our visit. It's a walk-up set-up, where you order/pay for your food through security windows. We ordered a 12-piece family combo for $35.45, which included 3 pieces of breast/thigh/wing/leg, 2 small orders of fries, a coleslaw and 6 rolls. They also sell fried catfish and shrimp, so got a 4 pc shrimp ($3.85). They only sell drinks by cans or bottles, so got 4 cans of Coke/Pepsi/Squirt. It is clearly stated that each order is fried fresh, taking about 20 minutes. Our order was ready in 15 minutes, and we decided to dine-in (a small makeshift outdoor dining area with temporary tables was set-up). The chicken was well brined and had been fried well (leaving plenty of space between the chicken), with the outer coat being crunchy with a little bit of spice. For me it tasted very similar to the popular national chain, but with more consistency. The 'small' fries were not that at all, but very large...with one being enough to feed the four of us. The fries looked underdone, but were not. There were no condiments available, so the saving grace was the thin hot sauce that you could dip your fries and chicken into. The rolls were forgettable, and the coleslaw was grocery store quality (which I actually like). In fact, the chicken and sides reminded me of what you could get at a grocery store deli, except always getting the chicken fresh, instead of ones that have been fried too many to a basket and sitting too long under a heat lamp. Freshness definitely matters here. There was plenty of food for the 4 of us, with us taking half of the meal home. It reheated very well, providing us a good lunch the following day.

The soft shell crab was crispy, flavorful, and packed into fresh bread that held everything together without getting soggy. Messy in the best way and exactly what you hope for when you order one. The owner was super friendly and very hospitable. Definitely living up to the southern hospitality. Food came out hot and fresh. Definitely a spot I'd come back to when I'm craving New Orleans style comfort food.

There was a deal on door dash so I thought I should take advantage of it and I decided to order from this place. Had never heard of it before but I was in the mood for soul food. I looked at the menu and didn't really know what to try, so I just went with old reliable; Fried chicken plate with Mac and Yams. I tried to order another side but each side was $10. So I was like "I'm not paying $10 for one side!" But MAN I should have! My food was INCREDIBLE. I took one bite of the Mac and cheese and it was so good, I set my timer for 4:30am just so I can wake up early and workout. Anything that good, has to immediately be shortening your lifespan. My goodness it was great. The yams were super flavorful and the chicken was juicy and crunchy. And they left me a lil piece of cornbread and even that was delicious. Just all around great experience. Definitely going to see if they can make food for my job Also, I would have added a pic, but someone destroyed my food

Received our number and sat all the way to the back. Found a nice place overseeing the ocean with a back set of City Building and a light house. Within 15 minutes we received our food and drinks. No complaints on the food. All was delicious. The presentation was good. The Collard Greens was fresh as well as all the entrees we received. All was Yummy. The service we received was from a bus boy. I forgot his name, he was tall and Hispanic. This guy did a very good job. He was nice and courteous. Always checking up on patrons as well as saying by to all the patrons that were leaving. Great personality. Overall, I would come back for some soul food. This is one of a few places you can eat soul food in the city of Long Beach with a nice view. If you like soul food and you don't mind ordering your food first, this is the place for you! The only thing I noticed was the tables were sticky and grimy. They could use some work. Parking is very tough to find. You can be frustrated pending on day and hour you come to shoreline. They validate parking which is a good thing.
