Fried combo with upgrade side of Mac and Cheese. Him
    Teoy T.

Looking for some connection to my family roots. I went to Yelp for nearest Creole restaurants with top reviews. J. Looney's came up. I was greeted with a smile by Mr Gil. The inside was cool and beautiful images of key celebrities and a hint of NOLA was nice. The prices were great with portion just enough. I ordered the fried combo with an upgrade of mac and cheese with an added side of yams. The catfish and shrimp was seasoned well and just enough to leave room for peach cobbler. I decided to get gumbo to go. I will definitely return

I was disappointed Mac N Cheese had no flavor & this is all I got. My family & I will not be returning to this restaurant.

We was very disappointed that this is what our plate look like & it was not good at all. Mac N Cheese was dry with no fkavor. And non of us got our corn bread. My family & I will not be returning!

These mutha*****az really put this sh*t on my delivery. ................

These mutha****** really put this sh*t on my delivery. SMMFH A Post it of them shortening me with arrogance. ............... Update Should have got the Fries cuz they probably would of had more Cheese then the Mac and Cheese.....IDKWTFTSW!!!!! Food - taste like the average to nasty church food. My fault for being lazy. Every Review more than 2 stars is fake or from people who can't cook or have no taste buds.

Fried fish combo (fried red snapper w/ mac n' cheese and potato salad).

Oh my gosh! The gentleman who was in charge of my order was so adorable. His son, who is usually the one who collects all the GrubHub orders using the app, was gone for the day and the gentleman was so adorable trying to figure it out and finally asked me to help. He reminded me of my own dad and software apps. Anyways, onto the food! I ordered a FRIED FISH COMBO (Fried red snapper with two sides -- MAC N' CHEESE and POTATO SALAD -- and CORNBREAD). It also comes with a bag of different condiments and utensils. You can tell how long they have had this business because he even told me how long it takes for the FRIED RED SNAPPER to be ready. And when it came out, it was fried perfectly. I got out my tartar sauce and started digging in and ended up finishing all five pieces of it. The sides were also amazing. MAC N' CHEESE was well balanced with texture and cheese. The POTATO SALAD was also a perfect blend of mayonnaise, eggs, potatoes, and whatever else it takes to make it (I don't know because I don't cook). I loved the tanginess. The CORNBREAD was also great. It wasn't stale and tasted like how it should... like cornbread. I would definitely come back to support!

Pork Chop Dinner - Missing 1 pork chop
    Mark S.

Initially, I was really excited about this new restaurant as I grew up in the South and have strong New Orleans roots. I ordered the smothered pork chop dinner which comes with 2 pork chops, rice & gravy, and 2 sides. First of all, I only had 1 pork chop. I didn't realize I was shorted until I got home and looked at the menu again. The pork chop was tender and had good flavor. The collard greens were tasty, but my second side consisting of macaroni and cheese was fair. It was very dry. The cornbread muffins were very good, yet cold. The Cajun fries were less than desirable. They were frozen crinkle fries with seasoning salt. There was nothing Cajun about them and the portion was small. Customer service was ok. We had to wait for a while and there was only 1 other party in the restaurant. The chef did apologize. It appears he was working the front end of the restaurant and the kitchen. Overall, I didn't find this restaurant worthy to represent "New Orleans Culture Food".

Brisket, mac & cheese, potato salad & corn bread.

The food was amazing! I wish I would have thought to have taken a picture. I had the beef ribs, mac & cheese, potato salad, watermelon, lemon cake and 2 cokes. This place is brand new and I am for sure coming back. The ribs had plenty of sauce and just fell of the bone. The sauce was a bit spicy but had great flavor. The mac & cheese was creamy and had just the right amount of cheese plus the noodles were cooked just right and were soft. The potato salad was light and had just the right amount of mayo and egg. The watermelon was sweet and added a nice relief to the spicy of the ribs. The lemon cake was awesome. It had the right amount of lemon flavor. Coke is coke. The staff is very nice and provided some great conversation for while you are waiting for your food. The place is clean and they keep up a very professional atmosphere. I can't wait to come back!

She patiently took all our orders with a cheerful attitude and made sure everything was correct. The food was good, came out in a timely manner, and Cindy checked on us regularly to see if we needed anything else. Toward the end of the meal, she kindly split the check per couple, which we really appreciated. The best part? We were surprised with fried Oreos and ice cream on the house--such an unexpected and delicious treat! Then, to top it off, the manager came by and offered us a second round of fried Oreos and ice cream, also on the house. How cool is that? Nice place, good food, and excellent service. The sauce in the bag felt a bit... watered down like it went for a swim before meeting the seafood. For a party of four, we ordered: SHRIMP LOVER COMBO, LOBSTER ROLL, SIDE OF RICE, BASKET OF SEASONED FRIES, AND MAD DOG XXX SAUCE on the side. Portion-wise, we left comfortably full and only slightly questioning our life choices. The Shrimp Lover Combo can't be modified. We chose Stinkin' Special and Spicy, which came with a plastic glove so you can dig in like a civilized gremlin. The Stinkin' Special was a generous blasts of Old Bay and enough garlic to ward off vampires. The Mad Dog sauce wasn't shock-your-soul spicy, but it definitely lingered. I was still feeling its friendly burn hours later and well into the evening. The LOBSTER ROLLL was tasty but fleeting. It's one of those dishes that makes you realize the meal is almost over right when you're hitting peak satisfaction. A little emotional damage there. We wrapped it all up with deep-fried Oreos and ice cream, which was an instant win. Sweet, cooling relief after all that heat. Tip: Sign up to their text newsletter at the restaurant and enjoy a free basket of fries. BTW, their website is down. :(
