BBQ Brisket Sandwich and Garlic Fries
    Keith M.

I ordered the 710 BBQ Brisket Sandwich with garlic fries and a can of Coca-Cola Classic. The Sandwich consisted of a warm bun with thin cubed brisket and NBQ sauce. It was good, but I wish the bun would have been buttered and toasted and a bit more BBQ sauce. Otherwise it had. A light smoke and tender. I also ordered the garlic fries. The fries were cooked well and covered in fresh minced garlic. At the time I was the only customer so i received my order fairly quickly. The store front was small But could sit about 30 customers. I've eaten here in the past and enjoyed the food then as well. I will be stopping by again when I'm in the area

i cannot explain how much i wanna love this place, brisket is on my top10 list so a brisketwhich should amplify the amazingness right? Not anymore it seems. I first found this place pre-covid and it was a super reasonable price for a solid if not hand messy sandwich, just kinda out of the way for me. Now in 2026, plaza still dead as ever, inside is dark as ever, sandwiches are up 50% in price, its tasty for sure but not worth it at $15. and they give u ONE napkin. like the Sandwich is guaranteed to drip all over ur hands and the tray, one napkin is like stopping the hoover dam with a single thift store level umbrella. And dont get me start on the "elote" worst ive ever tasted. took a few more bits cuz ill be dammed for not finishing it, it was too sour or pungent i cant tell but it was not anywhere near yummy. 101-$15.5 for a tiny brisket +slaw+sauced wich. slaw gives it a crunch and helps mediate the super savory juices that burst out from the sad breading barely holding it together. Youll get juice all over your face and hands. Elote-$5.3 worst cup of faux-lote, first time i ever did not inhale alote. quit after a few forced bites, its just nasty. Call me an elote man please! Parking - plenty cuz all the shops are dead Seating - bunch of side benches and a middle row of like couple tables. Empty at noon (shouldve been a red flag) i might drop by if in the area, just for pure brisket. but wouldnt go out of my way for it.

Food and service was top notch good! I wanted to give 4 stars but there was some issues with the restaurant. They had no AC and it was a really hot day, also bathroom was out of order due to a plumbing issue. Besides those issues they have plenty of parking and they accept cc.

My mom is a fan of beef brisket. I found I could order through GrubHub lunch for my mom, from Cerritos and she enjoyed loaded fries with pork which made LA brisket stand out for me. The next time I was in Cerritos, I went in person with my sister. It's a modest spot, and there were many customers enjoying lunch. Their food is fabulous. You can order lunch combos, signature sandwiches, loaded fries, and a variety of other items. The staff were super cool and the experience was just so memorable. I've been GrubHub my mom sandwich, sandwiches, and loaded fries monthly. I recently learned that LA brisket no longer works with GrubHub, after ordered lunch and finding my order cancelled. I'm unable to get it delivered through my usual means. Highly recommend if you are local.

Back for the amazing brisket fries! The combination of tender brisket, tangy red cabbage slaw, and the salty cheese can't be beat! Service was friendly and speedy. Interior is nothing special but clean and cozy.

I have been here a few times and it never disappoints! We always go for the brisket bowl. The meat is so tender and juicy Their sweet potato fries are also a good add to your bowl. They have a sweet glaze to them and are crispy but also soft! If you'd like to add extra flavor, pour the green sauce on top of rice and meat and it's chefs kiss Overall recommend this place!

Great find while I was in Los Angeles. I had the 405 sandwich which was really juicy with garlic fries. My son had the loaded fries which were also very good. I would like to come back and try their bowl next. Plenty of parking as it's in a small strip mall. There was plenty of seating inside. The cashier was friendly and helpful when ordering.

The 405 Sandwich just stuffed with tender brisket. Delicious.

It is a small joint, almost a hole in the wall, in this weird little strip mall. The menu is simple and, duh, leans heavily on brisket, although you can get other things, if you are so wrongly inclined. The counter fellow was just about the nicest man around. To him everyone was "my friend" or "boss" and he could not have tried harder to make sure everyone in this small restaurant was taken care of. We tried the 405 (brisket, blue cheese, mushrooms, onions, etc.) and it was excellent. We also tried the 101 (brisket, slaw, mustard, cheese, etc.) and it was also wonderful. The meat on both sandwiches was incredibly tender. The sandwiches are not overly long but they are very girthy (let's keep it clean here, folks) and absolutely stuffed with meat. You will not leave hungry here. We wanted to try the elote but they had sold out. You snooze, you lose. Instead, we got the truffle fries, which were very nice. The interior is all woodsy with beautiful lighting. We heard an eclectic mix of classic rock and blues on the sound system. I would happily come here and work my way through the entire menu. This is delicious food and outstanding hospitality.

I recently tried LA Brisket I ordered the Lotte and a #10. The food was very good well seasoned with a nice flavor that really stood out. It was a little greasy on the paper, but not enough to take away from the overall enjoyment of the meal. I would definitely eat here again. The service was excellent as well. There was a very nice older gentleman taking care of customers, and he really made the experience warm and welcoming. Overall, great food and great service. Worth a visit! I ate the Lotte before taking a picture it was hot and had a lot of flavor.

Last time I was here, the food was great as usual, but the service and the music were awful. Came in for lunch last week and all the problems have been addressed. Great service and appropriate music. My wife had the brisket bowl and I had a custom brisket sandwich. Brisket was amazing and the portions are large. The meat is high quality for a very good price. This is my go to place for brisket with a touch of Asian fusion. This place should have lined out the door! Also, they have expanded their Menu and added some new sides. I have tasted them yet, but will on my next visit.

Small Country style joint with wooden stained tables & benches, low hanging pendents, dark stained concrete floors and black painted ceilings. The space is warm and inviting. The beautiful slow folk country music playing in the background almost forces you to slow down immediately. As soon as you walk in, you are hit through the nostrils with the unmistakable smell of barbecued meats which instantly triggers your appetite. The Menu is simple just as it should be. Brisket, Pork or Chicken. Bowl or sandwich. A hand full of sides including Elote which is street corn, 4 different types of fries, baked beans as well as Mac & Cheese. For refreshments, Some sodas and water bottles. They take cash but you must have exact change. So, I had to use apple pay. I know why they do this but I won't speculate. Wink Wink :) The service is friendly. I ordered the brisket bowl which comes with a white cilantro rice, red Cole slaw and a small side of tangy green salsa. I got mine with no rice and extra slaw. My order arrived in no time. The plate has 4 average size brisket slices and the meat was very tender. It had just the right amount of saltiness and the red cabbage slaw was surprisingly delicious. The green tangy salsa was tasty as well but I did not care for it because i prefer to taste the food as is. Especially for the first time. Overall, for a fast food brisket place, this was an unexpected pleasant experience. Great spot for a quick lunch or even dinner. Prices are reasonable. There was also plenty of parking as it is located in a small strip mall. It will not be my last time at L.A. Brisket. I recommend giving them a try.

First time visitor Online order No extra fees Located in a small plaza - free parking No outdoor dining, one main dining room Clean, wood tones tables and benches, and industrial lightning Gentleman assisting seems nice. It was a quick interaction. No one was else dining upon arrival. Order was ready before eta, piping hot chicken bowl in a aluminum line non plastic container and piping hot elote Flavor wise - wasn't impressed? I tried everything separately at first. Chicken was a combination of dry, bland, and tender pending the bite. The purple slaw had some sweetness and crunch. The garlic rice (2scoops) had hint of garlic but not like actual garlic pieces just more like essence yea garlic is there. They were out of salsa verde so a side container of bbq sauce was placed instead. I then dipped the chicken into the bbq sauce that tasted like mcdonald bbq sauce so it was ok. Some of slaw juice added additional flavor and moisture. Didn't finish all the rice. The elote was ok. Oily sweet some spice crunch and pop. I like to come back to try one of their sandwiches and hope the flavor profile will be better? Food is shareable and mostly reasonable for current state.

    Brisket Loaded Fries & 101

I can't believe it's been EIGHT years since I've first gone! I'm happy they are still thriving and made it through the pandemic as a lot of restaurants could not do so. Sandwiches & bowls are $14.49. know the dedication and labor it takes so I was unfazed the 65% increase in pricing. In this day and age, $15 for a generously loaded sandwich is still reasonable. I accidentally ordered loaded brisket fries and the 101 which is literally the same ingredients. A delicious whoopsies! Sandwich was delicious, thick slices of juicy smoky brisket & fresh toasted chewy bread. Fries were perfectly crisp on the top but unfortunately were so oily that we threw most of it away. I'm unclear if the fries were not drained, etc. Overall lighting was dim and hard to see. Will definitely be back to support & try the bowls. Many people ordered it while we were there; in person and to go. Will hold from trying the loaded fries again. Staff was great & helpful. Still a solid bbq spot if you're in the area!

I almost always order the Mini Club on herb bread, and the sandwiches are consistently fresh. The ingredients taste fresh, the bread is good, and the restaurant itself is always clean. My biggest complaint is the price. While the food is good, it feels expensive for what you get. My mini sub and a bag of chips came out to over $12, and the sandwich is only about four inches long. Even a bag of chips is around $2.50, so the cost adds up quickly. The other thing I'd like to see improved is hand hygiene. I've noticed employees sometimes go from working the cash register back to making sandwiches. While they may put on a fresh pair of gloves, I'd personally prefer to see handwashing before handling food again. That's just my opinion, but it's something I pay attention to, especially when it comes to food preparation. Overall, the food is fresh, the restaurant is clean, and the sandwiches are consistently good. I just wish the prices were a little more reasonable and that there was a stronger emphasis on hand hygiene.

We then decided to eat the burrito (she had half and I had half) and save the sandwich for dinner later that day. The breakfast burrito was pretty good. I would say 8/10. It was a good size as well which is why we shared it. Now, when we had the sandwich (shared as well) later for dinner OMG it was delicious!! Every ingredient mixed well together. So much flavor! The taste portions were very reasonably priced, allowing to create your own flight (or two). Specifically scheduled an early afternoon to come to the Lakewood Village neighborhood of East Long Beach. My wife found an angled parking spot right in front. It wasn't too crowded inside and the four of us found easy, comfortable seating in the brightly decorated dining room. One places and pays for the order at the counter, with the proprietors being very friendly and engaged. They brought out our beers after the pour, and the sandwiches a bit after (since each is individually carefully made). Beers: - Northern Lager [Oxbow] - ($5 for 13oz pour) was clean, crisp and a hoppy aftertaste. - Infinite Hotel [The Wayfinder X Bierstadt] (marked as $3 but charged $4) is a rice lager and was the favorite of the group for its drinkability - Winteruption [JK's Farmhouse] ($3) is a cider with very strong maple syrup overtones: never tasted anything like it. - Hyper Paradise [Rare Barrel] ($4) - saison and ale with mango and passion fruit. I liked this beer very much. - A Place Like Home [Pure Project] ($3) - Nitro poured Extra Special Bitter. - Double Negative [Grimm] ($4) - Imperial Stout, which I really enjoyed. - Amongst Friends [Sante Adairius] ($4) - a cherry saison, unusual and was glad to sample. A lot of work was put into creating this flight, with the careful pours and markings to make sure I knew what was what. I really appreciated the opportunity to sample all of these on-tap. In terms of the food, the group as a whole really liked them, though I guess I wasn't as impressed with my two samples, mainly because it used non-descript deli meat in OK quantities, heating them up when necessary. Hot Beef ($18) was my wife's, and it had been griddled with cheese to form a crispy lattice. The Ham and Cheese ($16) was served cold and had potato chips inside which my mother-in-law liked (saving the other half for home). Our friend and I split the Hot Turkey ($16) and Pastrami No 19 style ($20). The pastrami meat was piled high and the cole slaw was crisp and good, but was served cold (should have read the description more closely) and mediocre rye bread broke apart quickly. The Hot Turkey ($16) was served on ciabatta that had been grill pressed for a long time, creating a wonderful crust as good as any sandwich I've had. But the filling was OK, using standard turkey breast slices from a loaf and an ok stuffing...using hand carved turkey would have made a big difference here, but understand it's hard to do. Strangely, even though it's a pickle adorned shop, each sandwich just came with an ordinary pickle spear, what one would expect from a diner, not a deli. And the prices are on the higher side, especially with no sides and most not being particularly ginormous. But I loved how each sandwich used different breads, and how some of them were toasted very well. And having the opportunity to try these unique beers made it a really good experience.

Definitely a favorite, and I'm surprised I don't stop by more often. I guess with all the new shops…read moreconstantly popping up, I'm always tempted to check out what's new. Still, it's nice to know this place remains a reliable go-to whenever I'm craving a good drink. One thing I really appreciate is how creative they are with their seasonal menu. It feels like there's always something new to try, and there is always a drink I want to try. This time, I ordered the seasonal High Mountain Paradise with 50% sugar and lychee jelly. It was absolutely delicious, and the 50% sugar level was perfect. It was just sweet enough to bring out the flavors without overpowering the tea itself. The mango and guava notes were a bit subtle, but they paired wonderfully with the delicate oolong tea, creating a refreshing and well balanced drink. The lychee jelly was also a great addition, adding a little extra texture and sweetness with every sip. I'd also say this jelly was softer than the typical jelly I've gotten, which I really liked. The shop can get pretty busy, probably because they really do offer a little bit of everything. Besides drinks, they have a food menu that seemed surprisingly popular during my visit. I saw plenty of people ordering snacks and meals, and everything coming out looked and smelled amazing. I'll definitely have to come back and try some of the food for myself next time. The space itself is on the smaller side, so finding a seat during peak hours can be a bit challenging. That said, they do offer both indoor and outdoor seating, which helps.

I ordered the scallion pancake wrap with crispy chicken. I enjoyed it and also liked eating the mabo tofu tots off of my friends plates. I had a yummy brown sugar boba drink as well. The place was kind of small, but it was clean and it had enough seating. The service was really nice and friendly, shout out to the black guy with the pretty eyes.

Fast and friendly service for fresh food!…read more Ordered the flavorful and fresh seasonal goat with a sweet citrus vinaigrette. It comes with thin slices of chicken, pickled red onions, romaine and mixed greens, marinated goat cheese, chopped up roasted almonds, orange slices, fresh mint, and a drizzle of citrus honey. Every bite had me wanting more! Also had the lemon chicken farro soup that was bursting with flavor and great texture on the farro. The broth is a bit more on the thicker side. Also recommend!

Grand Opening Promo…read more Free Entree with purchase Occupying the former location of a Wahoo's at the LBX, Mendocino Farms had a QR code in front of their under construction building. The QR code was for a Free Entree w/ purchase once the restaurant opens. Not one to pass up free food, I made sure to use my phone to scan & sign up. Once open, I was ready to check out Mendocino Farms for the first time. The menu at Mendocino Farms consists primarily of sandwiches, salads & soup. After a quick perusal, I thought the Peruvian Steak sandwich best whet my appetite. Peruvian Steak sandwich- Spicy aji amarillo marinated steak with Oaxacan cheese, herb aioli, red onions, tomatoes, shredded romaine on a toasted potato roll. I quite liked this. Tender steak, with fatty cheese. The vegetables provided contrast & texture. For my purchase, I went with a side of Southern Potato Salad. It was good, but similar to grocery deli potato salad. In hindsight, I should've purchased avocado added to my Peruvian Steak sandwich. Service was excellent. All hands were on deck, as Mendocino Farms opened only a few days prior. Each employee had a name badge, specifying their name & which entree was their favorite, helping indecisive customers choose what to get. Plenty of seating indoors & al fresco. Parking is at LBX, with Mendocino Farms being across Georgia's and facing the Hangar at LBX. I found the Peruvian Steak sandwich delicious, yet meager in quantity, considering the regular price. It's more of a substantial snack, than a full meal, in my case. However, it's great to have another quality food option in the area, and I look forward to coming back & exploring the rest of menu.
