Family style
Brandy R.

I like this restaurant, but Cerritos was not my favorite location. We ordered the family style meal. It took a while to receive our food at the table. Food was ok. Most of the chicken was dry, the meat was hard to chew, the rice was colder than the meats and didn't taste as if it was cooked enough. It seems they rushed the food out. The avocado salad had avocados that were not ripe yet. The place itself is maintained cleaned with a vibrant aesthetic. Our waiter was kind and helpful. The three stars are more for the quality of the food. I would come to try eating here again despite the bad experience today with the food.

Finally doing this spot justice with a review because this is hands-down hubby and I's favorite Mediterranean place. We've been here a good five times and I'm finally writing a review--better late than never. Parking is easy and there's a decent amount of seating both inside and outside. Ambience-wise, it's your typical fast-casual, in-and-out vibe. Nothing fancy and not super pretty inside, but don't let that fool you. Once the food hits your tongue, it's game over. Hubby and I are creatures of habit and always order our usual plates. He gets the beef and lamb kebabs, and honestly the portion sizes are so generous that our plates are interchangeable every single visit. A must-have side is their Mediterranean salad--get the large so you can save some for leftovers the next day. For my plate, I always order the red cabbage, hummus, sumac onions, and of course the Mediterranean salad, and it is always absolutely delicious. For the entrée, I go with the chicken and beef shawarma. The meat is perfectly shredded and pairs so well with their fluffy rice, plus the generous amount of garlic and tahini sauce. The only downside I would say is the pita bread. I personally don't care for how dry it can be, but to be fair, the best pita bread I've ever had was in Athens, Greece, so it's very hard to compare when most pita breads here are premade. Service is always fast and on point. This place is an absolute must-try if you're craving Mediterranean food. Happy eats!

Chicken Kabab, salad, potato salad, rice

This is one of my favorite Mediterranean restaurants. They have a whole page of sides to choose from. I had the Mediterranean salad and the Mediterranean potato salad with rice and chicken. I didn't specify chicken kebab and they gave me a different chicken and I didn't like it. It was my fault. They were nice enough to cook me chicken kebabs to replace the other ones. It was totally delicious. Everything here is so good. The people are really nice and they go out of their way to make sure that you're happy with your meal. Thanks to everybody for fixing it for me so that I totally enjoyed every bite.

Husband and I shared a large chicken kebab plate (3 skewers) with tabbouleh, hummus and half rice/half salad and wow, such a solid place for a solid price! Chicken was so juicy and the rice was way more flavorful than I thought! Salad though did not disappoint so I'd be torn between getting more rice or doing half salad again. This is a regular place for our friends who got lamb kebab plate and beef kebab plate On a side note...I docked a star cause of my confusion. It could be an issue of transparency, so if anyone can shed light on it, great. The total WITH tax came out to $74, which is what the worker sbut card got charged $76.22. When I asked about it, she said it's tax but the $74 already included tax so...?? Is it an additional card charge that I wasn't aware of?

Chicken Shawarma. Dry and chewy but flavor was good

Much better this time around. The chicken was not dry and was very flavorful. Fairly good portion but I think they could put more chicken in the shawarma plate. Overall, a great lunch spot that's filling and tasty.

Food was ok. I got the combo plate with chicken, lamb and steak. Added rice and hummus and onions. It was a busy saturday and almost all tables were taken. Thats a good sign that this place gets business. People are saying the portion sizes are smaller, but they look fine to me at a decent price. Overall a pretty good meal. The only items i didn't care for was the rice and the chicken tasted a bit dry. The steak and lamb was ok. It wasn't succulent or juicy like the steak\chicken i get from the kebob shop down the road and they have the better rice also. The garlic sauce tasted good. The service was great. Vivian at the front counter was very nice! =) Food rating: Combo Plate, chicken, lamb, steak 7.5\10 Out of all the nutella baklava i tasted this was good 8.0\10

I absolutely love the food here. We got the chicken shawarma plate with hummus and salad. The protein was very flavorful and seasoned well. I loved their garlic sauce & hummus, and the salad was so refreshing! The staff was super friendly and helpful. We came closer to closing and got our food after about 10 minutes. I would definitely come back to try all their other dishes!

this was delicious!!! we got the chicken, beef, and kefta skewers with the potato salad & everything on this plate was super flavorful and seasoned extra. I loved their garlic sauce & hummus, and overall would just come back to try this all again! the pistachio baklava felt buttery, but not super flaky. service was super sweet & we got our food after about 10ish minutes! it was still a little busy on a Monday night, but plenty of tables to sit at. great & chill date night place!

Chicken shawerma taste wise was ok. My chicken was very cold and it wasn't wrapped right. Took forever for my wrap and the people in the kitchen were laughing and loud. I won't be coming back.

Food: 10/10 it was something new for me and the flavor of the chicken did not disappoint. The beef is good, but it's definitely different than other beef I've tried. I ended up giving it to my bf. The Mediterranean salad was really good! The potato salad had an acquired taste, and so I didn't eat it. I can see why others like it. Service: the cashier didn't greet us, but he was just waiting there for us to order. When we took a min to look at the menu, he finally asked what he could get us. He was nice after, though and was able to provide us with suggestions. Amabiance: it's a random hole in the wall type place. It's small, but it has outdoor seating as well. I would recommend ordering ahead because we waited about 15 mins maybe more for our food.

Stopped by for lunch yesterday. You order at the counter and they call your number when your order is ready. There is a small dining area indoors and seating outdoors as well. We decided to eat indoors. Place was clean and seating was spaced out well. I ordered the beef shawerma comes with pita and rice and I selected hummus and Mediterranean salad as my 2 sides . The meat was very tasty and was even more delicious dipped into the white garlicy sauce it came with. All staff were friendly and efficient. Didn't have to wait long for food after ordering .

Back at Kabab Crush. Privately owned middle eastern restaurant. Tiny crowded place, tiny crowded Kitchen. Simple menu. Really good food. I was here a few weeks ago for some shawarma. I really liked it and i wrote a review about it. I am back this time for some Kabab. We were a party of 3. It is customary in the middle eastern culture to always share food with friends and family. So, i ordered a few things to share. To start with. I ordered a plate of hummus with beef. This dish is eaten with Pita Bread. The dish was good but it is disappointing that they only give you 1 pita bread. Which is hardly enough for half the size of the dish. So, more pita bread please. Then i ordered a Fatoush salad which is a traditional middle eastern salad. This one was made with tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, green bell pepper and topped with fried pita chips. The dressing is a lemony vinaigrette. I also ordered some skewers of chicken, beef and kafta kabab. The Kafta is ground beef mixed with parsley, onions and various spices and then grilled. Everything turned out really good and cooked just right. The service is friendly. I'll be back for sure. I definitely recommend Kabab Crush.

Veggie Entree with hummus, beets, and falafel (falafel came with entree)
Jana H.

Love me some Mediterranean and this was a good stop! Portions are generous, staff was friendly and helpful, and flavors are mostly good. A plate is definitely shareable between two people (unless both people are famished). Ordered the veggie entree with hummus and beet salad and subbed out my pita for some dolmas (thanks for letting me do that!). The dolmas were a bit too oily for me and somewhat tart; they were not my favorite. The veggies were cooked well, the hummus was smooth, and the beet salad was super tasty (I would have also maybe added some nice spice/seasoning to it instead of what just felt like plain beets). Wish there was a little less rice and little more veg, but overall, good portion for what I paid for and good taste.

Every dish is genuinely good instead of the usual mediocre spread. The space is simple and clean, and it's clear they put real care into keeping the food stations tidy and well presented. The lineup is mostly meats and veggies, plus a great salad bar (no boring iceberg and romaine here). A fun touch: ring the bell and they'll bring you a fresh lamb shank, it's how I always start my meal. There's also a solid rotation of chicken, lamb, fish, and rice dishes. We're usually seated right away, and it never feels overcrowded, which makes navigating the buffet line easy. Only downside is there's just one person bussing tables, so things can pile up. We try to help by clearing our own plates when it gets full. Overall a great spot for quality Mediterranean food. Just wish there was one closer to us!

My personal favorites are the steak and the chicken--both are incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite. One thing you absolutely cannot skip is the edamame hummus. I had never even heard of edamame hummus before coming here, and now I can't believe I went so long without trying it. Having lived in Beijing and eaten Uyghur-style food out in the streets and in established…read morerestaurants as I traveled around, I was unbelievably excited to find this restaurant near home. However, it left me wanting more. I do wonder about the plethora of high reviews, because from my standpoint of having had a lot of Uyghur-style food abroad and my husband who had never had any, this place disappointed in taste. Ambiance (3/5): It was large, brightly lit and clean, but being so empty, it felt kind of sterile in there due to the lack of air flow and a TV blaring Spanish infomercials. I think it would add to the mood if they played some light instrumental music. Service (3/5): There was one waitress the whole time we were there and other than taking our order, she didn't come by much. I had to go to her twice to ask for things, including asking about rice. It was weird that she let us order without letting us know that we had to order rice separately. Yes...unlike most Chinese restaurants that automatically serve complimentary rice with main course dishes, you have to order rice and it's charged per bowl. Yikes. Food (3/5): We ordered the spicy Sichuanese boiled fish, lamb skewers and popcorn chicken. Admittedly, the fish and chicken dish aren't very Uyghur, and for that, it's our fault. However, the fish just was not close to anything I've had elsewhere, and not in a good way. It wasn't that spicy and it didn't have that signature mala kick. It was also salty. This was probably the most disappointing. The popcorn chicken was called something else on the menu, but it was essentially a big order of what you'd get at a Taiwanese boba shop. My kids loved it but I questioned why we ordered boba shop food on a dish. If anything were to right the wrongs, I expected the lamb skewers to be perfect at the price for four and it being a major Uyghur specialty. While the smell of the spices was accurate, the chunks of lamb were dry and tough that even my husband who had zero expectations mentioned what I noticed. I'm giving this place 3 stars for it being a unique restaurant that tries, but at the price point and quality of food, we both didn't feel that it would be a place we would visit again. The empty restaurant during peak dinner hours might have been a hint. But if you have restrictions such as needing to eat Halal food, then this restaurant offers some different dishes, so that may be its huge plus.
