This was the first TKS I went to when they first opened in the area (after San Diego). I was in the area and craving Mediterranean and decided to come here. I routinely go the Seal Beach TKS. You can order in person or use the kiosk. Very simple process. The staff is very friendly and the food is prepared fresh. I ordered a plate, Chicken Sharwarma, salad and fries. I love this place and the food here, but the girl at the cashier has an awful attitude. First, I tried to use my rewards and she looked annoyed by it and even canceled it when I said I wanted to use a reward. Then when I paid for my food I stood there to make another order to use a reward and said I had to purchase something to even use the reward. I ordered the kids meal and she tried to give my mom and I a water cup! Insane! How are you going to give me a water cup when I paid for my whole meal that comes with a drink? I had high hopes for this place. Found this spot as I went on a Target run as it's next door to it. I love Mediterranean food so I was pretty excited. I got the San Diego wrap. It's got fries and feta inside. I once ordered a similar wrap at a place in. The Northridge area years ago and I loved it so I was hoping it was going to be just as delicious. It lacked a really flavorful garlic sauce or something because it was a bit bland. They have sauces that you can add to it but maybe my expectations were a little higher. This is the second time I've been to this location of the Kebab Shop and I would say that it has consistently been a solid place to grab a quick, healthy ish eat while still being delicious. During my last visit, I ordered the wrap with carved chicken. I forgot to take a picture of it, but trust me when I say that this wrap is HUGE. My husband and I split the wrap as a pre gym snack and we were really satisfied. Make sure that you hit up the sauce bar when you're here because the sauces are DELICIOUS!! My only complaint is that I wish the protein to veggie ratio was a bit better because I had bites that were only veggies, however, they do have an option for extra protein, so that may be the move for me next time. Although this is a casual place, the store itself is on the modern end and is clean, which I appreciated. Service here is minimal, but friendly. Randomly wanted mediterranean food, so decided to goto the kebab shop. Parking lot was packed, I should have parked in the larger parking area by Target instead of going into the small lot where the kebob shop shares with other businesses (that are clearly doing very well!) The kebab shop was luckily pretty empty, so I was able to take my time ordering. I ended up with a chicken shawarma wrap. The wrap was huge and was made fresh! Everything tasted good and somewhat healthy (minus me drenching every bite in their sauces). The only thing I will say is, my wrap had a burnt taste to it. If I wasn't enjoying the wrap as much as I was, I probably would have taken the time out to rip off the burnt parts...but the wrap itself was so good that I ended up scoffing it down and regretting after the wrap ended up inside my belly. Lol. Hopefully next time I won't run into this burnt wrap situation and I can scoff down a wrap that just tastes fresh. read more

Now to the food review. I think the grains bowl is Fresh and delicious. The rice was soft and the salad was also fresh and did not get soggy. I also added fries to my bowl and it made it 10x better. Overall it is filling and the ingredients taste fresh. I would def be back. The meat was super flavorful. And I enjoyed the sauces on top of it. They all worked very well together. Marcello helped me review the updated menu and it's pretty simple. The signature OG garlic sauce and jalapeño cream sauce were delicious to top off my chicken shawarma plate. Was a bit on the dry side but the sauces helped a lot. My daughter ordered the grilled beef kofta bowl and she added hummus along with the OG yogurt sauce, red cabbage slaw, tomato, cucumber, picked onions, and romaine lettuce. She really liked her bowl. The restaurant itself was nicely maintained. Lots of seating and there's a fountain drink station for refills. Lots of pick up orders when I visited. Staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely a healthier alternative to a burrito at Chipotle or other fast-food spots. Where's the meat??? Literally give you barely any meat. This is a wrap filled with veggies. If you are a vegan you might love it. I ordered lamb and beef wrap. The wrap was cold and it's to be expected considering it's filled with cold vegetables and a couple of thin slices of meat. The Kebab Shop must be like Oprah: You get $5 off! You get $5 off! You get $5 off! Or in my case, I got $10 off thanks to Jose. I appreciate how The Kebab Shop has been liberal in giving out these rewards for a variety (or lack lol) of reasons. I also have a 20% off to use that is set to expire in a week or so, but the cool thing about the $5 off is that there's no minimum purchase required. So when it was set to expire soon, and I wasn't feeling that hungry, I just used it on a salad shortly before expiry. Service from this Kebab Shop has been much better than at the other locations I've been to. On some visits earlier this year or sometime last year, I remember Seth rang me up a couple times and was super helpful to the point where he was able to find the 1 wrap + 1 bowl + 2 sides combo deal that an employee from the Seal Beach location wasn't able to find at the register, thus making me believe back then that combo deal could only be redeemed online. Seth was also super chill as well, though the food I had ordered still wasn't enough for me to award them the 4th star. After two interactions with Jose, I now have enough to give that 4th star to the Cerritos location. On my penultimate visit, I was trying to redeem my $5 off for a small salad, which is normally $5.50. It had been a while, so I had forgotten about what salads they had, and even if the names sounded familiar, I wouldn't have remembered what they looked like. I asked Jose a multitude of questions about these salads, and not only was he patient at answering them, but he also offered samples of the two I was most interested in! After filling a small tray with CousCous Tabouli and Cranberry Kale & Quinoa, I tried the two and preferred the latter over the former. Jose did mention the former would be lemon-y in taste, but I personally found it too lemon-y for my liking. He also mentioned the kale in the latter would be more likely to wilt overnight, but I was willing to assume that risk. The only flaw from him during that visit was that he reminded me about the Kebab Rewards program. That was a flaw? It was only because after the $5 off, I'd spend less than a dollar, which wouldn't have amounted to any points anyways. Apart from that, the Cranberry Kale & Quinoa Salad held up well for lunch the next day! On my most recent visit, Jose was working behind the register again, and he was just as pleasant, which wasn't surprising. I was intent on ordering a bowl because I now prefer bowls over wraps, and luckily, both still have complimentary premium toppings, which was a promotion that started back in April and was extended into May. And now into June apparently! Keep this promotion going please! I was doing a little math and trying to earn just enough points to get to the next reward tier. I did this by ordering carved chicken as my meat and adding a $1 upcharge of grilled vegetables. For the bowl, I didn't know this, but Jose mentioned I could go half and half on a base. Knowing that adding fries would be $1, I thought going half and half on brown rice and fries would have added an upcharge, but apparently it didn't, so that's what I chose. I guess I could have gotten fries only for the most bang for my buck, but I definitely wanted the best of both worlds. I also didn't know this, but Jose mentioned I could redeem my points for a free fountain drink even though I was already planning to use a $5 off discount from a recent text I received. I didn't think I'd be allowed to use both at the same time, but I elected to drink H2O instead and try to save up for the next reward tier of fries. Right when I was about to pay, Jose noticed my *other* $5 reward from a recent email I received. Again, I didn't think I could use both at the same time, but Jose was able to make it work! The only drawback was that I still don't have enough points for free fries lol. I asked Jose how long the wait would be, and he said 5 minutes. Yup, that was accurate! I noticed I didn't get a buzzer for a dine-in order, but Jose mentioned they would just call out my name. Funny because the Irvine Center Dr location utilized buzzers when I went a couple weeks ago. I tasted the bowl, and it was solid! Though not necessarily as good as the bowl I had in Irvine, the difference isn't that much, and I'm willing to say it's because I chose a premium protein there whereas here, I didn't. The carved chicken is nothing to write home about, but does the trick for a no-frills meal. As I was heading out, a different employee thanked me and wished me a good evening. They definitely seemed more appreciative of my business than in Irvine, so service is definitely better here. Overall, there's now enough for me to award the 4th star. I just can't give the 5th because 3 and 5 don't average to a 5. read more

We were greeted by a staff member upon entering. There are a decent number of tables inside and the space looked pretty clean. We weren't that hungry so we ordered a plate to share. We got the Carved Lamb Beef, Truffle Brown Rice, and Pita and Hummus. While waiting for our food, we went to the sauce bar. There's a chili sauce, yogurt sauce, and cilantro jalapeño sauce. Our food came out pretty quickly after sitting down with the sauces. Our order didn't look the most appetizing (mostly brown) but it was because of what we ordered. The Carved Lamb Beef was solid. It was tender and flavorful. The Truffle Brown Rice was dry and tasted like regular brown rice. Probably would not order again. The Pita was warm and soft, and the Hummus was a plain hummus. It was good. The sauces were all really good. Our favorite is the cilantro jalapeño sauce. Great cilantro flavor with a slight kick from the jalapeños. Overall, giving The Kebab Shop a 4/5. Staff are friendly, the space is clean, and it's good for a quick meal. The food is solid. It might be a tad on the pricey side, but I would come back to try other things on the menu. read more

Want to start of with how clean and pleasent the shop is. Walked in and you can really see the care that is shown for the space. My partner and I came for a spontaneous trip out. We were greated with a smile and were asked if this was our first time. We let them knoww it was and the gentlan at the front, Mariano explained it all. Really appreciated the menu break down and the calorie count on it. Food was great rice was cooked well, chicken was grilled well and the veggies were not overly cooked but had enough grill time to develop flavor.
