SHORT VERSION: Great halal bbq spot. Definitely try the Dino ribs. LONG VERSION: Had a great dinner here with a bunch of guys on a Tuesday night recently. We started with a sampling of wings (mango, jerk, tikka) and they were all flavorful and cooked nicely. We then had bbq Dino ribs and tikka flavor Dino ribs - the meat tasted truly incredible and was super soft, just falling right off the bone. Honestly, I'm usually not a huge meat enthusiast but this restaurant is named for its ribs and the Dino ribs are definitely the item to get if you come. We also had some beef and chicken tacos since it was Taco Tuesday and they were solid too. We finished with some malai kulfi for dessert and it capped off the meal perfectly. Atmosphere was casual and it seemed pretty busy for a Tuesday evening with at least 3 or 4 other groups and I can see why. The service was very friendly - the owner Brother Yasser took great care of our group and joined us for maghrib prayer before we started dinner. Came here on a Sunday for take out. I presume it was the owner who took our order, he was really nice. We ordered baby back ribs, lamb chops and chicken malai with sides of asparagus, Mac and cheese and salad. The baby back ribs were fall off the bone tender and super juicy. The lamb loin chops were very flavorful and the chicken was good too. My favorite side was the asparagus actually and then Mac and cheese. All the food was great. Took about 15min to be ready but if it was any faster I'd be surprised for that amount of meat dishes we ordered! My wife and I really enjoyed the food at ribs n kabobs. As someone who is interested in many different cuisines, this is a perfect spot to try different things out. The service was extremely friendly and we enjoyed chatting and learning about the business from the owner. Insha'Allah i will be coming here again especially during ramadan (free iftar was advertised!) The dino ribs were incredible, and we received short ribs as well. The staff treats you like family every time you walk in, and the service is always top-notch. 11/4/24 Indian & Korean fusion, like home cooked meals by Abida (owner's mom), along with Ali. They don't skimp on the spices! My aunt wanted to take Hubby & I out for lunch, she wanted to try this place in Artesia. We were the first customers of the day. Abida warmly greeted us & we sat at a booth by the counter. It's a small family owned restaurant that could sit possibly 25-30 customers. Free parking available & it is shared on the same plaza as Aikan & Solid Coffee Roasters. We ordered: 4 Beef Tacos, Lamb loin chops, goat curry, paneer tikka (fish/swai) & for myself-/ kabob platter (chose tandoori boti/cubed chicken & Seekh kabobbeef. All served with basmati & naan except for Hubby's tacos. I felt it was going to take a bit of time so I went with an appetizer to hold us off: Kbbq chicken wings (12 pieces). As it turned out, Abida was the only person cooking at the back at 11 am & help will arrive around noon (Ali). It really does have that mom n pop deal, like you were invited to someone's home & they cook for you. Abida was reassuring & we felt we were being looked after by someone's mom. It did take a bit of time (no more than you would at any dine in restaurants) but factor in that it's only Abida cooking. The chicken wings arrived shortly & we enjoyed these while waiting for the rest of our meals. Very flavorful spiced appropriately. When our plates were presented, we dug right in. Although we mentioned low to medium spice level, our dishes definitely had some kick to it, not overpowering though . My tandoori boti chicken was tender & paired so well with the garlic naan. My auntie had the goat curry which was also very full of savory & warm spices/-I dipped my naan to sop up the goodness. My beef Seekh kabob was good but I really liked the chicken. My aints & Hubby liked their orders. My other auntie ordered a mango lass & it looked so good that ended ordering one for myself. It was a bit too sweet for my taste so I shared with Hubby & diluted it--it was a unique taste & it was refreshingly creamy, delicious! My kids and I barely ate the meal because it tasted pretty bad. I ordered the 3 kabob platter with Koobideh, Tandoori Seekh, and the Seekh Kabob with rice and mashed potatoes. Everything looked good. The skewers were juicy and you can really taste the spices they put in the skewers. The mashed potatoes were good as it wasn't creamy but not lumpy. This is my new favorite place. Everyone's said it in the review but this place has been here forever and I can't believe today was the first day I'd ever tried Ribs N Kabobs. Got the Tuesday special which is tacos. Opted for chicken and beef. These aren't your regular tacos. The meat is in some kind of spicy sauce. I'm not big on spicy so I'll sniffle even with the slight bit of spicy. I still liked them and would order again after maybe trying some other things on the menu. I enjoyed them while sniffling the whole time. So good! But maybe not for you if you don't like spice. Also got the samosas. These aren't your typical giant potato filled samosas. Small triangles filled with minced meat, onion, and spices. Came with a yogurt like sauce and limes. They were good with both. I'm not sure if these are spicy too or if it's was residual spice from the tacos but I liked them too, would totally order again. Lastly got a mango lassi which was okay. Fined in and the glass they served it in was giant. Overall love this place. The store is kinda quiet but I came mid afternoon. I suspect most people order takeout. Plenty of parking. I honestly had very low expectations since I felt the menu was a bit of a mishmash of multiple cuisines - kabobs seems more Mediterranean, but there was South Indian tandoori & pulled pork barbecue sandwich served on Mexican torta bread! Definitely very good food, cooked with good spice level, grilled chicken skewers and molded koobideh style meats were tender and cooked through. I've sometimes had bad experiences with other kabob type places where chicken has gotten dried out or undercooked. The platter combo came with two sides of your choice , we got pita and rice. Stopped by here twice in the last week - the biryani at this spot leaves you wanting more and more each time! I placed my orders through UberEATS the first time, and went with the Goat Biryani for $9.99 (solid price for Biryani coming from OC). The staff called me immediately to mention that they could make it out of chicken instead (this is what I preferred anyway, so I went with it). The biryani came out piping hot within 15mins, and I was off to the races back home with my pickup order to begin shoveling this biryani into my mouth. Lo and behold, it came with a small serving of raita (cucumber yogurt) and goodness was this more than necessary; the spice of the chicken legs and thighs and rice really did a number on my tongue and mouth. Totally worth it though. A couple of days later, I got a $5 coupon through UberEATS, a pleasant surprise on a Monday morning.
